I think it would be helpful to differentiate all of these help/support issues by system; such as .NET v Tomcat since most issues from each platform have similarities...
I hate to go through a thread that I think is solving an issue for me, only to find it applies to tomcat and I'm on .NET.

I was thinking of introducing a posting template to address this. It could make answering the questions easier and quicker if the right info is already there. Here's an example below. I'll see if something like this can be added while people are posting. In the meantime for others feel free to copy this tempate when posting new questions to help speed up your answer by supplying all the needed info.

I have some queries related to improving the performance of a scenario in my landscape.
Scenario : IDOC-SOAP (Synchronous with BPM)
The mapping is simple with 3 fld direct mapping.
Works grt with no problem in normal cases for one message transfer.
But initial load ( when we put it in new system, the scenario generates erros if we send more than 23 IDOCs at a time)
I have decided to perform the following to solve it.

i dont think so.....in this scenario the async mesg processing is made to wait

the packages will be created and processed. There is no change to the monitoring of each of the
individual messages in SXI_MONITOR.
....but if you make a sync scenario wait....then probably you may run into the risk of blocking the Queues.......
If this is going to be in production then i would have been more careful...becoz firstly it is BPM....then synchronous BPM.....then a processing wait......normally do not try to make the BPM processing wait...my small suggestion

Batch Quantity is being posted incorrectly in WM stock

Hi Experts,
I would like to share you a question about the batches are being created in the SAP system... When the user does movement type 101 from P.O, the quantity is being posted correctly in Quality Status - MM Inventory but in WMS Stock, a small part is being posted in Available Quantity status and the biggest part from the batch is being posted in Pick Quantity incorrectly. We would like the total quantity from Batch be posted in Available Quantity in WM... We don't know if this error is about some Master Data QM is missing or some configuration incorrectly from QM... For this reason, I was wondering if you could help us with this issue?

Basically because you have a destructive sample requirement, the system is making a WH request to deal with that quantity of sample. So you have two orders to deal with. One to pull or process the sample qty and the other to put away the remaining qty.
In bulk products we don't usually track the qty's. Since .001 kg out of several hundred KG's is basically insignificant, unless you deal in something like precious metals.
If your UOM was 1L bottles however and you ordered 8000 kgs or roughly 1000 bottles, you might want to show the one bottle as having been consumed since it would indeed throw your inventoy count off. In that case you sampling UOM would be a bottle.

This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iPhone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, Samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with Outlook and my iTunes library.

Suggestions To Improve E90 Calendar

Hi,
I bought the E90 Communicator to replace my old PSION Series 3mx and I am quite happy with it.
I use the calender application a lot, and that's were I'm missing a few features I used a lot on my PSION:
- copy & paste an entry
- repeat entry not only by date, but also by day of week (for example: every second Friday of the month)
- search entries (for example: find the next appointment with my doctor)
I hope to find these features in one of the next software updates.

regardless of whether Nokia wants to/will actually visibly follow up on whats discussed here -
it seems - it seems to me that someone from there might well... just happen across this page (one reason for a forum in the first place - is to get a sense of what the users are talking about)... and make some notes.
I believe that companies that dont communicate directly with their customers (but advertise that they do!).. will listen - they just dont want to COMMUNICATE.. (because there are just too many of us - with too many "good ideas" and too many clueless about what it would take to actually do what we want...
So if anybody coming along wants to make suggestions to IMPROVE the native calendar... I think the suggestions should be made here - despite the fact that the other people -with far more experience (and frustration) are more interested in using this piece to compare someone else's product.
We're on a Nokia site... Nokia is looking - whether we see immediate evidence of this or not...

Any suggestions for improving my efficiency?

These are the two methods I've come up with to use what I have for making movies. One is for DVDs. The other is for making QuickTime MOV files for CDs. This is the process I have to use because we don't yet have our digital video camera that is firewire compatible with Final Cut.
For DVDs that will play in DVD players or media software on your computer:
1. I take the Video_TS folder and run it through DVD Imager (free, macupdate.com) which converts it into an IMG file.
2. I use the Apple Disk Utility (part of OS X) and burn the IMG file to a DVD.
Simple enough.
Making our recorded footage editable in Final Cut and then exporting as a QuickTime movie is a little more complicated. There may be a simpler way to do all this (like get a fire-wire FC-compatible camera I can capture footage from) but this is the process I finally got to work:
1. In the Video_TS folder are two VOB files. The larger one is the one that actually has your video on it. I use MPEG Streamclip (free, squared5.com) to remove the timebreaks (otherwise all you get is the poster frame) and convert it to a Quicktime MOV file. For settings, I just use Apple Video, 720x480 NTSC, and 30 fps. You need to buy the Apple Quicktime MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20, apple.com) for this free software to work.
2. Import the MOV file into Final Cut (I use Express which is $300 from apple.com) and do your editing and other yumminess. You'll need to render it first.
3. Export as an MOV file ... there's no .mov extension and the Info says it's a Final Cut Express Movie file, not a QT MOV which makes me nervous so I I open it in QuickTime Pro ($30, apple.com) and export it using the Movie to Quicktime Movie setting.
4. Then I burn my Quicktime movies to a CD.

If what you want is just to make copies of a DVD you burned yourself (eg using iDVD or your DVD camcorder) there is a simpler way: just create an image of the DVD on your desktop using Disk Utility, and then burn it using Disk Utility.
You need to go into the process of copying the VIDEO_TS folder only if you want to make changes to it. For example you might need myDVDEdit, a very powerful free editor of the DVD structure (to change the menu button behaviour, or so). Or maybe if the image is of a different size, from a small DVD to a large one.

Print to pdf and don't use anything with transparency.
Have you ensured all your images are actually high enough resolution for whatever purpose (which you haven't said) you want?

I had a question I determined there were two appropriate forums, so I posted in both (on usenet you could cross post). My post in this forum is not being posted, the second time I changed it a little incase it was looking for an exact match. I see no e-mail warning that it would not be posted. Are there some rules about cross posting? Anyway to find out why question in second forum is not posting?

Suggestions for improving sharing

Since Adobe Review is discontinued, I used with a couple of clients the new creative cloud sharing and I found some missing features or improvements needed:
1. When a client is reviewing a file (i.e. a picture) he must input the email address to post a comment, this is annoying since I sent the review email to his address, so it's already verified.
2. An important improvement would be a way to make a note (or link a comment) on a specific part of the picture/text so the comment can be highlighted in the context.
3. I'd like also to receive a notification of new comments or see on the dashboard if new comments are present on a file, so I can review all the latest comments.
4. There could be a button for "approval", if I put several versions of a work, client can approve the one he likes.
Maybe some features are still present, please tell me if I'm wrong.

The best software to do what you want, is not on a Mac. It is a router.. gargoyle.
You can keep using the TC as wifi source but get a router that can can take gargoyle firmware.. the best in my testing is netgear WNDR3700. Gargoyle itself is a free download.

There are other routers and router boards it will work on.. but make sure you pick something compatible. I have used several different routers and the one above is the best so far.

You saved me before...A quality question

I finally got my DVD made! BUT...I swear you can see every pixel on the screen. If a man has white hair, there are white pixels all around his head. Movements look like a blur of disorganized pixels, even stationary posters on the wall have their color pixels way past their borders. Jpegs look great, titles that move do not. I went over all the quality questions I could find on here, but most of them just confirmed I am in way over my head. I can not seem to change any of the settings, not the bit rate or anything else that would seem to effect the quality. I have my project set up as a DV NSTC, I did the Adobe encoder on high quality.
For an extreme newbie with a very important project due...does anyone have any tips???

While your original footage was compromised by beginning life as an mpeg, you should not be getting the extreme blockiness you are seeing with the DVD. That being said, don't expect to be able to maintain the same quality as your original footage.
A couple of questions. Does the material look OK playing from the timeline? How are you exporting to Encore? What are your exact settings (everything and be sure to scroll all the way down...VBR, CBR, data-rate, etc)? What is your burn speed? What kind of DVD media are you using? What kind of device do you plan to play the DVD back on?
If all else fails, try a better encoder like TMPGEnc ($60?).

could this be a possible way to prevent basic questions being asked repeatedly (and to encourage search before post) (may be atleast for newcomers to the forum, to minimize one-liner questions).
when a user tries to post the question, as the user types or in the preview screen or before he clicks on the submit button, the SCN should show the similar questions/threads (or atleast threads with exactly the same text) asked/discussed before.
then the forum user might click on the links, instead of posting a new one, as the answer could be readily available in existing threads.
this functionality i have seen in yahoo answers.
if you go to answers.yahoo.com and ask a very simple question like
"what is difference between sql and mysql"
then yahoo provides a popup "Wait, we might already have the answer you are looking for:" and it also shows the possible similar questions like:

I also think it is a cool idea, but unfortunately the "no brainers" are a small group in my experience and will not be detered by this.
We are using a new secret weapon in the past weeks against repeat offenders. Please use the Abuse Report button to report such basic questions when the person is "hard of hearing".
As a side note, also consider that some people are not fluent in English. Or even have no English language skills and use enterpreters. That is of course no reason to be a pain and break the rules (cross-posting, etc) but it does explain isolated misunderstandings.
I once called a repeat offender on the phone because he posted his telephone number in the forums. He could hardly speak any English at all, let alone write it...

We are using SAP ECC 6.0 RE-FX module.
We have a requirement wherein we would like to get the details of the G/L account being posted through RE-FX Periodic Posting activity.                                                                                In the current design, while we carry out Periodic Posting for any Contract, through T Code RERAPP, the Rent for the period is first posted to a single G/L Account(Central G/L) irrespective of the nature of Rental Income. Subsequently, when we carry out the Transfer Posting, it gets posted to the respective Revenue G/L depending upon the Account Determination Value (Food & Beverage/Advertisement/Miscellaneous/Parking) assigned to it.
We have Conditions Types which have been assigned to Contract, Rental Object Group and Rental Object. To these Condition Types, we assign the Posting Term/s, to which the Account Determination Value.
My query is has anyone worked on a similar requirement and if someone can help me on the Tables to be used in order to achieve the same.

Does anyone have any suggestions to improve the performance to improve Firefox for andoid (more details).

I'm using it on a Samsung Captivate SGHi-897 with Jellybean 2.2 (I'm unable to upgrade the OS @this time). Firefox was recommended by a freind, however, so far I've been very disappointed with it, as, it is extremely slow and constanly crashes. I've tried all of the suggestions provided, but there is no improvememt. I realize it may be not all that compatible with this properly working device or OS. I have Samsung Galxaxy SGHi-727 Skyrocket with IC 4.1, however, I've been waiting for a part for it coming from Aisa, which seems to be taking forever, so in the meantime I'm.stuck with this. I was wondering if you may have any suggestions on how to speed it up and prevent it from crashing so much, other than what's on your help guide since those changes I've tried make no improvement in it's performance. I would very much prefer to use Firefox on this device, as well as, after I repair my other device for a number of other reasons, but if I'm unable to improve it, I'll just go back to what I was using. What resolution are you using? If the DVD is to be playable on an ordinary DVD player, only ordinary TV resolution is supported. You need Blue ray for HD.
