Suitcase Log In Item

I am using System 10.4.11 and I have had a script loaded that will close that pesty Suitcase window which does not hide on it owns for whatever reason w/System 10.4. It has worked liked a charm for the past year. Suddenly-it is not working anymore and I think the reason is bc it actually loading b4 suitcase does. So I decided to remove the apps from log in items and reload them to change the order in which they load. I really have no idea if that works or not-but the thing is I can not remove Suitcase from my log in items and I was wondering if anyone on these forums can tell me why. Thanks for any help w/this situation.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist
Reboot.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

Are you referring to the items (also known as kernel extensions) listed in:
System Profiler -> Software -> Startup Items
If so, note that each item's location is listed to the right of the item in the main System Profiler window. For example, I have the Cisco VPN kernel extensions running, and their location is listed as:
/System/Library/StartupItems/CiscoVPN
The instructions given above in the thread for removing Login Items -- they load not at startup, but as befits their name, when the user logs in -- are correct.

Log in Items not 'Sticking'.

Howdy folks. Yes, I have taken the plunge from the PC world into the cool new world of Apple Macbook Pro Lion. I am also loving my iPhone 4s, iPad 2, Apple TV, etc. However, As I have been getting familiar with the OS X Lion, I have run into a bug which appears to be a problem some other folks are experiencing. I have searched and tried most of the resolutions, but to no avail.
It is that my Login Items are not being saved or 'sticking' upon a restart/startup. Just plain won't stay around. Anybody got any deeper resolutions than just checking boxes, and doing scripting applications, deleting Preferences files, etc. I am going crazy with this, as nothing is working. Just want to have iTunes and Mail applications start each time I log in. Help would be graciously appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yes, but some programs, like iTunes, have background apps that run to monitor your system, like inserting a cd, etc. If you delete them, you'll lose that funtionality, so be carefull what you delete.

If you have any unsaved documents, and you shut down without saving, you will be prompted by each program to save your document. Otherwise, shutdown will try to quit your programs. Some programs may not behave, however. If you find any that don't, you'll have to quit them before shutdown.

That's up to you. I have left mine on for days at a time with no ill effects. If you won't be using it for a few days, it's probably a good idea to shut down. Two different Incompletion log in item level for one sales document type

Hi All,
we are using one sales document type for 5 different sales org, now we are implemented new sales org.
pervious all 5 sales org we have setup incompletion log at item level 5 fileds.now for new sales org we need to setup out 5 fields we need to setup 3 field.
how to maintain same sales document type 2 different incompletion log.
i have checked in forum i found out below link.but is not matching for my requirement.

Log-In Items

Hi guys,
Running OSX 10.8.2 and I am having trouble with adding NAS shares to my log-In Items, I add them and sure enough at boot up they are mounted. The problem is that a finder window opens and displays the contents of the share, even when the 'hide' switch is ticked.
For what its worth I also have a G5 Powermac running 10.5 and an intel MacMini also running 10.8.2 and these also do not close the finder window. On the other hand I have a mid2011 iMac running 10.8.2 and it CLOSES the windows after they are opened (these are the same NAS shares).
All computers have the 'Hide' option clicked. Can anyone help with this irritating issue ?
If not can anyone tell me of a better way to mount NAS shares on startup ?

Instead of adding those volumes manually, create a new AppleScript (using the AppleScript Editor application found in the /Applications/Utilities folder). Insert code like this:
tell application "Finder"
mount volume "afp://10.0.1.5/volumename" as user name "myuser" with password "mypass"
end tell
You'll want to repeat the "mount volume" line for each volume you want to mount, and you'll need to replace the "10.0.1.5" with the appropriate IP address of the NAS on your network, "volumename" with the name of the volume and change the username and password to whatever is appropriate. Then save the result as an application, store it away somewhere, and make that a login item.

About log-in items

Using either AppleScript or Terminal, I know how to get a list of the log-in items on the boot drive.
Is there a way to get the corresponding lists for other drives on the same computer (without booting up on them)?

Launching a network folder via Log-in items

Hello,
I have a network drive, and what I wanted to do was have the finder open those network folders whenever I boot up. So, I used log-in items to add the various folders. Now that I see that it launches a new finder window for each folder, I want to stop it. The problem is that the folders no longer show up as items in my log-in list. In other words, they are still opening up on log-in, but I can't see them set up as log-in items. Any suggestions?

So this is a user specific issue.
Log into your user account.
Open a finder window.
Open the Library.
Remove the Preferences folder to the desktop.
Log out and back in.
The system creates a new set of default preferences.
Is the issue gone?
If it is then there is a corrupt preference file.
You can try to isolate which one is causing the issue by moving preferences to the newly created preferences folder in batches in order to isolate the culprit.
You could also just return key preferences such as the com.apple.mail.plist and simply set up new preferences just like you did when you first started the computer.

Why didn't Mail "hide" when set in Log-in Items...?

Hello all.
I have included Mail as one of the apps to automatically launch after startup by adding it to the Log-in Items inside Accounts in System Preferences.
But the next time and subsequent start up, Mail will launch but "stays there", did not minimize itself or "hide" away; Whereas the last time when I set the same to MS Entourage, it will.
How can I hide Mail??

This is a problem with 10.4, although it worked fine in 10.3
Jeremy Carlson has written an applescript that allows Mail 2.0 to be launched in a hidden state.

Sales order cannot be rejected -problem log status item status is incorrect

Hi,
I need to reject this particular sales order, but when i try to reject it says to check the problem log which states that the item status is incorrect. It says subsequent documents exists for some lines even though no documenst are attached.
There were a delivery attached to this order earlier but that has been archived. I ran repors SDVBUK00 etc but nothin seem to sort this issue..
I just need to reject the whole sales order. does anyone know any reports or somethin to rectify this issue.

I mean, had you reversed the delivery (T. Code: VL09) and then deleted the items from reversed Delivery Doc (T. Code: VL02N), before deleteing the Delivery Doc?
Was there any subsequent document for Delivery Doc.?

Enable change logs for item level of Sales Document

On transaction VA02, additional screen field (Booking Date) is added (& consequently 2 appends with date field in the tables VBAK & VBAP).
When this date is changed in the header, the corresponding dates are changed in the item level as well.
However, the change documents are created only for table VBAK (though item data is updated in VBAP also).
When the date is changed at the item level, the change logs are created for the corresponding field in table VBAP.
The data element has 'Change Document' checked.
How can I activate the change to be logged for the item level (VBAP), when the date is changed at header level (VBAK)?

Maybe set a breakpoint in include MV45AF0C_CHANGE_DOCUMENT_CREAT
Then check in UPDATE debug mode the value of upd_vbap and the contents of xvbap which are passed on to function VERKBELEG_WRITE_DOCUMENT .
This function creates the change documents based on the data changes.
I would have thought that since the date values are changed at item level as well when you only change it at the header, they should get a change document created automatically, since the dates must be in the XVBAP table (as their value is changed at the DB).
So I would compare the various internal tables for both scenarios (header change, item change) to determine their differences.
After this use one of the user-exits to populate the internal tables for the header scenario based on the values of the item scenario. I would feel this to be a last resort though, since something appears not to be working correctly (I think).

To add any field to the incompletion procedure,
Check the Incompletion Procedure assigned
- for Header - assigned to the sales document type.
-for Item - to the item category
Goto IMG-SD-Basic FUnctions- Log of Incompleteness-Define Incompletion procedure(Tcode OVA2)
Select your Incompletion Procedure - click on Fields(on the left side of screen) and Click on New Entries and add your required field.
Now check the functionality.

Sales Order : Problem with incompletion log for items

Hello Experts,
I am trying to get the incompletion log details for each item of a sales order. I can get the data from xvbuv[] and xvbup[].
However I am stuck in a strange issue as explained below.
I am working in the exit move_fields_to_vbak . For a given order say O1 there are two items ( I1 and I2 ).
Now for the two items I1 and I2 the exit is getting 3 times.
Call 1 : vbap-posnr is I1, xvbuv[] and xvbup[] is null.
Call 2 : vbap-posnr is I2, xvbuv[] and xvbup[] contains the data for item I1
Call 3 : vbap-posnr is I2, xvbuv[] and xvbup[] contains the data for item I1 and I2.
The problem here is that vbap and (xvbuv[] , xvbup[] ) are not in sync. I want to process the items one by one in each pass ( Call 1 and Call 2 ) but I am not able to get the correct data. Is this normal behaviour and any idea how to deal with it ?
Please let me know if any clarification required.

Sorry I wrongly mentioned exit VBAK . I am working with both vbak and vbap exits. vbap is getting triggered twice for two line items 10 and 20. However issue with xvbup[] and xvbuv[] remains, As .
As you can see in the image in call 1 zvbup[] and xvbuv[] is not getting populated. and in call 2 its getting populated for line item 10 not 20. I was wondering if these tables related to incompletion log gets populated after items are processed ?
