Suitcase X1 wont' work now...

Just installed OS 10.4 upgrade from 10.2. Have 85gigs of memory and my suitcase won't work. The only fonts I have are what shows up when I open quark. May not be explaining this well but I'm a graphic designer not a techie. Can anyone please help in simple language?

Regarding Suitcase, are you running XI because there are many issues with running it in 10.4.? as we have discovered on our newspaper up here.
It may mean removing unwanted fonts and creating new sets.. Auto-activiation is not up to much, frequently failing to sart fonts when they are in a document or project.
You may have to upgrade it or try Extensis knowledge base for a solution as without knowing what software you run, it is difficult to identify a cause or solution.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what device you are trying to set up and what is happening when you try to do so. If you are having issues remembering your Apple ID, or feel like you may have set up multiple Apple ID's, you may find the following page helpful:

re install ios5 without restoring , then re plugged it and make restore ,
if not work u had to install all again .

Airport wont work now!

I have been happily using my airport with a belkin FSD 7633 4 adsl router for over a year. I just bought airport express to work with itunes, followed instruction but it doesnt work. Found post to say that my router and AE not compatible, but now my airport wont work at all and I'm back on the cables! Is there a way to reset my Airport and start again? Should I buy a new router and if so what would be compatible?
Should I just give up!!!!?

ITunes wont work now

Yesterday I downloaded the latest iTunes and then when I went to use it today it wont open and I keep getting a message that says 'iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration'. I haven't changed any of the settings on my computer so I dont know why it is saying this. I uninstalled my ipod and iTunes and re-installed them but it still wont work. Can anyone please help me.

You restored your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup which remains activated with your carrier, or this is a no longer activated iPhone with your carrier without a SIM card?

hi i recently upgraded to v7.6 and now my itunes doesnt work, when installing it, or rather when the installation programme tries to uninstall my old version of itunes it says it cannot find the file "itunes.msi", it prompts me to enter an alternate location of this file, but I've searched my harddrive and it isnt on it, if i try to uninstall itunes separately from the install programme the problem persists, I've never had a problem upgrading itunes before, is there a simple way to fix this problem?

It sounds as though you need to use the Microsoft Installer cleanup utility to cleanup your installer files.
Here is a method for removal of iTunes and installer cleanup.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program

If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.

restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.

HELP I had iPhoto 5 on my IMac and tried to update but WONT WORK now

I just updated my iPhoto 5 to iPhoto 6, it deleted my library, but I fixed that. Now the new iPhoto won't fully download, and when I try to open the old one (5) it tells me to quit and use the newer version.
How do I go back to the old one get the new one to open?
Maybe I'm missing something when I download it. There is one file and one driver-looking thing (both say iPhoto 6). How do I extract or get it to work.
I am new to all this, and getting discourraged just as quit as I started. Help, Please! : (

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Did you buy iLife 06 to get iPhoto 6? If you did not and tried to run an iPhoto 6 updated on your copy of iPHoto 5 then that's part of the problem.
Now the new iPhoto won't fully download

Can you be a little more specific on what version of the iPhoto application is in your Applications folder (select it and type Command-I and the info window will have the version).

Everything seems to be working fine when I double click the home button the music play thing shows up, but when I try to press play to touch it it want play, ever since I took it apart a piece of thescreen that was connected to a black part got broken off (not the screen but the black part),and now it closes in all corners except the one where it was broken, but I put it back in place it's just not connected to the screen.

SoundBlaster PCI 128 Crackling/Popping, Mic Wont Work Now Eith

Hello everyone, im kinda a noobie here so give me some leeway, gonna take a shot at this.
Okay, so yesterday i felt like messing around with my graphics card which led to...problems of course.
Anyway, i had to uninstall Windows XP SP and SP2, which were both on my system, i reinstalled SP2, but noticed my mic would now make large pops and crackles, and i could BARELY be heard on ventrilo. My speakers were also the same way. So, i uninstalled SP2 and put SP back in hoping something would fix itself. Still didnt work. Not sure what i messed up, but everything was perfect beforehand, there were absolutely no pops or crackles in my mic or my speakers, everything was fine. Anyone know what i can do to get back on track again?, Im going to install SP2 over SP like before tonight, but anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks alot!

Netflix wont work now on Revolution

Netflix worked good on Revolution last night but today it loads movie goes to start and it stops and goes back to home page. Tried wifi and a different location and same thing. Unloaded update and put back on nothiing. All other apps like Facebook and Pandora radio work great. Wife came home with her Revo and it works. Any thoughts?

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your device manually before syncing, you can restore from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Here's how to:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your ipod to your computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your device for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.

Ipod touch built-in speakers wont work anymore. please help

Like I said my ipod touch built in speakers wont work now yesterday I was able to hear and use them when I was using the pianist app from the itunes store and it worked fine and today I redownloaded the digidrummer lite app since my old one for some reason didnt work and once I did download the app I synced to my ipod and tried to play and noticed that no sound came out so I tried other apps and also my music and also no sound. with headphones connected it works fine sound comes out and all.

K, so last night I tried the home+sleep/wake button hold thing and reset it that way and also just normal shutoffs which didnt fix it and also tried the ideas that you guys said and no go. everynow and then it would make the sound when I unlock it. so i just left it on and let the battery die see if that would do something it got to 10% and shuts off i guess so then i charged it on my stereo system with an ipod dock and was listening to music then i disconected it and to my suprise it started playing through the internal speakers again. I was skeptical at first so I turned it off and tried again it worked. so i went to the app that I think caused the problem in the first place called digidrummer lite I was able to hear the drums tom toms etc went to the home menu tried again played that app once more but this time there was no sound. I went to my music and everynow and then it would play but fade out or not play at all. so I took digidrummer off and so far the speakers are working again but I will still need to test them more.
