Sumif() formula and copy/paste

I'm having difficulty with a sumif() formula that works if I type in data or copy and paste from the same sheet but not if I copy and paste from an external source, even another Numbers sheet. Any ideas?

It seems that the data type detection in Numbers 3.0 is not as robust as was the case in version 2.3.
Try preformatting the table that you are pasting into, and then use Edit > Paste and Match Style.

My guess the problem you are running into is the drive is formatted for a PC as NTFS. OS X can read files from NTFS however it cannot write to it. Check the formatting on the drive, if it's NTFS then it should be reformatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), you can use Disk Utility to do this.

Missing functionality.Draw document wizard - delete/add rows and copy/paste

Scenario:
My customer is using 2007 SP0 PL47 and would like the ability to change the sequence of the rows of the draw document wizard and delete/add multiple rows (i.e. when you create an AR Invoice copied from several deliveries).
This customer requires the sequence of items on the AR invoice to be consistent with the sequence on the original sales order including text lines and subtotals. Currently we cannot achieve this when there are multiple deliveries.
Steps to reproduce scenario:
1.Create a Sales order with several items and use text lines, regular and subtotals.
2.Create more than one delivery based on the sales order and deliver in a different sequence than appears on the sales order.
3.Open an AR Invoice and u2018Copy fromu2019 > Deliveries. Choose multiple deliveries. Choose u2018Customizeu2019.
4.Look at the sequence of items on the Invoice. How can the items and subtotals and headings be moved around so they appear in the same sequence as on the sales order?
Current Behaviour:
In SAP B1 itu2019s not possible to delete or add more than one row at a time on the AR Invoice or Draw Document Wizard.

Proposals:

You said 'It is not at all concerned with Exchange rate during GRPO...' If that is the case how does the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document in the draw document wizard work? Does this mean 1 GRPO : 1 AP Invoice so I can use the base document rate?
How should I go about with transactions like these? That is adding an AP Invoice from multiple GRPO's having different exchange rates. What I am trying to capture here is that in the AP Invoice, base document rates should be used in the row item level and not the current rate when adding the invoice.

Word crash with sharepoint document and copy-pasting image from paint

Initially I've posted this to another forum but there the rec was to post it here as well.
I have a very annoying issue occurring in specific circumstances (but unfortunately for me that is my daily work), it happens when a document is stored on a SharePoint server. When I copy-paste an image from ms paint into word, often I get the message 'word
has encountered an error' but then I can continue, but every 5-10 times Word crashes completely.
When the error (not the crash) occurs, there is this nothing-saying error message stated below. Think of it.. my ‘floppy disk’ is not full, I have 8 GB of ram and I’ve all the permissions I require. The virus scanner is Symantec Endpoint
Protection.
All systems are in a world-wide enterprise environment (>20.000 users) – So I guess from that side everything is configured OK.
There is a problem saving the file.
Usually this is because the disk or floppy disk is too small for the file or is full, RAM memory is low, or there is a permission problem with the drive the file is being saved to.
If the amount of disk space for a paging file is low, save the file to another drive. If the RAM memory is low, increase available RAM. If permissions to the drive do not allow you to save to that drive, save the file to another drive or request
permissions from the administrator to save files to the drive.
Note This error can also occur if the computer is running a version of antivirus software that is incompatible with the Microsoft Office or must be updated.

Sometimes the Preview Pane in Windows File Explorer may conflict with Word, thus the error message appears. If you have enabled the Preview Pane in File Explorer, disable it to check the result. For example, in Windows 8.1, Open File Explorer, click
View tab on the top -> Panes -> Click Preview Pane to enable or disable it.
If the issue persists, I suggest you collect the event logs to find the cause of the crash:
Press Win + R, type "eventvwr" in the blank box, press Enter to open Event Viewer. Browse to Windows Logs -> Application, check if there is any error about the crash.

Unable to 'undo' and 'copy/paste'

Have NO idea what I did, but suddenly, I cannot copy and paste anything. The options are available, but when used, nothing is copied/pasted. Also the 'undo' option is greyed out, even if I make an amendment to the code.
I have CS4. It may be quite awesome, but where can I get a publication which might explain to me all the options and gizmoes available in CS4...?
Is there a 'default' setting for the layout? Have also ended up with all sorts of windows all over the place.... (must be May madness? :-))

Jre-6u24 and copy + paste in a java applet

Hi, I'm having trouble with jre and the applet at http://www.finnzymes.com/tm_determination.html . I can copy + paste to and from it using jre-6u23 (any subversion), but not with the jre-6u24 versions. Could someone confirm that this is the case and/or help me figure out what's up? I use this site all the time and currently have to launch windows xp from a virtualmachine just to use it!

I was having this problem also. It seems that since 6u24, copy and paste has been disabled in untrusted applets. To enable it again, add the following line to /opt/java/jre/lib/security/java.policy
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";
I put it at the end of the file before the last closing bracket. I can cut and paste now

Urxvt and copy/paste-ing.

Howdy guys.
I'm new to arch, been loving it. Enjoying configuring (and learning) about the parts i need thus far.
This is a weird question though. Basically i'm using urxvt (seems popular, and so far i like it) as my terminal, but i have no idea how to say.... copy and paste from it?..
Basically i would like to cat a file, and copy certain sections from it, so i can post them in forums and the like. And also the inverse, be able to copy and paste lines from examples online into my configs.
So far i've kinda been putting the windows side by side and typing it (<--- not very efficient and very annoying!).
I'm using xmonad for a tiling manager and that's it, so if i need to install maybe an addon into Urxvt or Xmonad i need to know which one to hunt down XD.

Yeah that or shift-insert seems to work for copying text from the clipboard to urvxt.
However how do i copy stuff from urxvt's terminal into another app?. Just selecting it seems to copy it for urxvt, but other apps don't seem to get this updated clipboard stuff (they will still copy i copied from them).
EDIT: okay you are right, it seems to work that way . Just weird and have to hit it a few times for the laptop to work with it. Is there a keyboard shortcut for the left+right click? (Shift-insert doesn't work in other programs)

JEditorPane and copy/paste

I've got an applet with an editable JEditorPane.
I can make a copy/paste in the editor from any application outside the applet and from the applet itself. But with Word under windows, the paste method tries to insert html rendered by word and it can't do that.
Then I extended the TransferHandler class to make my own transfer handler, just to copy the text from a word selection. But doing that I can't do any copy/paste from the editor to the editor .... I don't understand ...

Or, you could use the cut, copy, paste methods of the JEditorPane.
You can also use the DefaultEditorKit.CopyAction to create an Action to use on a button or menu item.

Rdesktop and copy/paste on remote machine

Connecting to win 2003 server from my arch.
Just noticed i can't copy/paste anymore when using rdesktop (had 1.5.0, tried both 1.6.0 and cvs).
I copy something, and then want to paste it, nothing happens. Right click gives me grayed out paste options.
Works fine with windows rdp.
Asked a friend who alse has rdesktop (says 1.5.0) and for him it works fine.
So it obviously is something with my setup.
I could swear it worked fine before.
Regular -Syu user here
so god knows when this happend and what's the reason.
Anyone encountered similar issue?

'PRIMARYCLIPBOARD' looks at both PRIMARY and CLIPBOARD
when sending data to server.
'CLIPBOARD' looks at only CLIPBOARD.
Maybe 1.6.0 turned it off by default?

Typing and copy/paste in Hebrew

Hi everyone. First time poster, so be gentle please. :-)
So I am using CS5.1 and I have working on a project where I am recieving text in Hebrew. However, whenever I try to copy/paste the text, it flips the text around, like everything was typed in backwords. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!

You might try having the files with the Hebrew text output as PDF files and then use File>Place to insert the PDF into the AI file. You would not be able to edit the placed file in AI but would have to regenerate the PDF from the originating software but then have an automatic update by relinking.

Safari5.1.x Cut/Paste and Copy/Paste don't work

Please reconsider the severity of this bug!
It may be related to something more fundamental in the Safari cut-n-paste functionality. It seems that Safari ALWAYS pastes an instance of the parent macro when copying content wrapped in a macro. The same behaviour is seen when copying and pasting text wrapped in the "Numbered headings" macro.
I believe the problem is mainly related to the cut and copy function rather than the paste function, since the instance of the parent element is also pasted when attempting to place the cut content outside the parent element. This effectively means that there is no way to move content out of a macro, since deleting the wrapper macro will also delete the contents.
All in all this makes Safari 5.1.x pretty much useless as a client to Confluence, since basic editing will have to involve pasting to and recutting from some external program to perform the most basic of editing operations. In a corporate environment users may not be allowed to install (or use) an alternative browser.

I have this problem using Safari 5.1.7 on OS 10.6.8. I believe the issue exist with much before versions as well. Please someone reconstruct the issue and confirm it. Thanks. this is making Safari useless.

IPhone version 2.0 and Copy & paste feature?

I still have not heard if the issue of not being able to copy & paste will be addressed in the upcoming update of the iPhone.
Anybody heard? I still can not believe that this most elementary of features is not available in the phone.

They didn't talk to much about the actually features updates on that level as far as copy and paste.
Hope fully it will be resolved, we'll know on the 11 of july.
Or if they could add a feature to forward contact info or text it would help tremendously.
Or someone will write an app to solve it.

Data grid and copy/paste

I am using windows and the latest build of SQL Developer. Click on a Table name > Data tab to see the data grid representing data in the table. OR....run any SQL returning a result set. Either case, select a cell. CTRL + C now works as expected, good. But the copy operation copies a TAB too for somereason. A real pain when I paste into a manual SQL block or something.
Also, any way we can change the data grid when browsing a tables data to require a double-click to edit a cell? This would be a Good Thing(tm)

The tab in the copy is good IF you are selecting multiple cells - if you only select a single cell, it is a painAgree completely, copying a single cell should have no additional characters at all.
Also agree on the double click, although I would like something similar to TOAD whereby to edit a cell that already has focus only requires a single click. I like to move the selected field around using the cursor keys (I find this quicker) and then hitting either Enter or single clicking or just start typing to begin editing. Double click would still work (for those who like to double click).
