Summarize Comments shifts my PDF to the left

When I use the summarize comments tool, the pdf automatically shifts to the left. This results in text being chopped off on the left and a white strip on the right. It appears this only happens to PDFs that have been created using a scanner. PDFs that have been generated from software like ACAD or Microsoft Word, seem to be fine. The screen capture below shows the offset for this page, which is part of a multipage document. This page is a PDF that had been scanned due to a signature being present. Before the summarize comments button was pressed, all text was centered perfectly on the page. This page did not have any comments associated with it, but the other pages in the document did. The other pages did not suffer from the offset because those pages were created from the native files.

It sounds like the "Zoom" feature is being activated. Check in "System Preferences">"Universal Access" to make sure it's off. You can also turn it on or off with the key combination "Option, Command, Number 8"

How can I get the "comments" to show up in the left tool bar?

Yesterday the "comments" were (A) appearing stacked on the left of the pages document, today, they are only (B) appearing as a sqaure notation and I can not seem how to switch back to the (A) style. Any tips is appreciated. Thanks!

So you didn't notice at all that yesterday it was in Pages '08/09 and today it was in Pages 5?
Two different applications.
Pages '08/'09 should be in your Applications/iWork folder.

Blur node in color fx shifts up and to the left.. HELP!

Can anybody else confirm that the blur node shifts everything up and to the left in the latest version of color? Or have a theory on why it's doing this to me?
I have a 23.97 progressive DVCPRO HD Source for a film that's done with the grade, and now I'm noticing the blur shift, meaning I'm going to have to add a translate node by hand to every single shot of the film if I don't get this worked out.
I'm using the blur to add a blooming effect, and it's really noticable on shots with a dark object surrounded by bright, as it creates a kind of offset effect.
Help me. Please.

I've noticed something similiar, maybe even the same thing you are running into, but only when working in Floating Point. In 8, 10, 12 or 16 bit, I don't see the shift. I'm working with 10bit Uncompressed.
My theory is they probably aren't doing the 'math' correctly when working in Floating Point for the Blur node.

Reports Shifting up and to the left (ignoring margins)

I am using reports server 10G.
If I run a reports via the browser with destype= default and paramform=yes and submit and print the report everything is good.
If I run the same reports via the broweser with destype=printer and paramform=no then the reports is shifted to the left and up. It is as if the report has a negative value for the top and left margins.
Any insight as to what would cause this behavior would be appreciated

It sounds like something is wrong with the trackpad. I would contact your carrier and see about a warranty replacement.

Why is my banner shifting by 1px to the left and right

Hi there,
I put up a banner that will be the main graphic with menu for
my website at www.happysexyyou.com.
The image was made in illustrator, sliced and saved as html
and then put into the dreamweaver template. I like the way it looks
but I notice that the image does a 1 pixel shift to the left, then
to the right, then back to the left whenever I reload it.
I can't figure out why this is, and it's the first time I've
seen this problem. Can anyone see why and help me remove the
shifting?

Mozilla based browsers have a problem with odd widths like
that. I'm
betting that if you change the widths to 802 px (still too
wide in my
opinion) you'll see it stop.

Signing a pdf pushes the text left

When one of my fellow employees signs a .pdf the signature pushes all the text in the .pdf to the left.

(These are examples without the reports they normally contain, when the document is full the text is illegible.)
We recently upgraded the whole company to Adobe Reader 11.x from Reader 10.x this only happens to one user and only on Reader 11.x. Other users are able to sign the same document in Reader 11.x without this problem occuring.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Reader multiple times on the users computer. I have also deleted and recreated the users signature. I checked the users settings against the settings of people who are able to sign the document and was unable to locate any differences. I have also spent hours searching the net for others who are having similar problems but was unable to locate any information.
I currently have the user running 10.x but soon I will be forced to install 11.x to keep in compliance with company policies. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. I can also provide any more information that may be needed.

Ok, so the change is permanent. Perhaps in that case you could (if necessary) make a test file suitable for public consumption and share BOTH the original and signed/broken one - via acrobat.com, your own web site or a file sharing site. Someone might have the interest and tools to analyse and find something useful.

Waking Intel Mini shifts desktop image 2 inches to the left

Been using a G4 Mini for 2 years with my 27" HD-LCD-TV with no problems. Just bought an Intel Mini and now when I wake the Mini from sleep or switch from full screen mode, the desktop shifts 2 inches to the left. Repositioning the display using the TV configurations does not help. The Apple & Application Menus disappear off the edge. I have to reboot to return it to normal.
Any advice?

I've a similar problem with the display when the mac mini wakes up, an inch of the left disappers. The setting is 1360x768 (60Hz) but after waking up, the TV detects as 1280x768 (60Hz). Hence, I suspect the problem is either the DVI cable or the mac.
It was fine when I connected with a VGA cable. This phenomenon occurs after I got a DVI cable. With the DVI cable, the image quality visibly improved but with this annoying disapperance of 80 columns of pixels.
I've been searching on the internet for a solution for some time but yet to find any.
I'm using a Dell W2606C.

Site shifts to the left on iOS

My website looks fine on my laptop but when I view it on the ipad it shifts to the left. I have no content to the right which would do this.
Also, I was trying to make an image large so that it would continue to be seen to the left and right of the site on larger screens but this made the ios shift even further to the left. I decided to scrap this part for now but I still have the shifting issue.
Any ideas?

Screen shifting to the left 30% or so...weird lines too

All of a sudden last week I started getting a problem where my screen would go crazy with colored lines and then the screen would shift like 30% to the left and the left side of my screen would be on the right side.
Also, when it's not doing that the screen will sometimes go all wacky with crazy lines. And sometimes it'll be an all blue screen with vertical dark blue lines.
So I thought that maybe it was a corrupt graphics driver, etc. and having backed everything up I went ahead and wiped the drive and installed Mountain Lion fresh. Nearly a week goes by with no issues. Then yesterday it starts up again.
Any thoughts?
I'm thinking it's maybe a bad graphics card, VRAM, etc. Soooooo frustrating.

It's about 14 months old and not under warranty. I suspect it's a bad graphics card, but am hoping that someone else here has seen this problem and knows for sure.
When I run the Apple Hardward Test off the install DVD it doesn't find anything wrong. So that's odd.
And the problem is intermittent. It seems like the problem happens whenever the graphics card is tasked heavily. But it's also happened when changing the label color of a folder.

A small portion of the screen on the left is cut off.

The firefox window is shifted a little to the left. For instance, if menu bar is enabled, half of the letter 'F' in File menu is missing. A little amount of the big circle for back navigation is missing on the left. The left end of the first tab is also missing. Resizing or restoring the window does not help. It happens only in normal mode and not in safe mode. Disabling add ons individually in normal mode does not help either.

Can someone tell me how to produce the "connector line" PDFs ( File>>Print>>Summarize Comments>>Document and Comments with Connector Line... ) programmatically through a plugin? I've looked through the SDK (e.g. AVDocPrintPagesWithParams) but haven't found anything.

Adobe Muse page is shifting to the left

Hello,
I love Adobe Muse and have been using it for some time now. I HAVE had this problem before but it was due to elements being placed outside of the page area, so of course I investigated that first. Unfortunately, I'm still having that problem and I've triple checked my elements to make sure they werent hanging off but I'm still not getting the page to allign when opening the page in IOS. I read another feed that offered a code = <meta name = "viewport" content = "width = XXX" initial-scale = 1.0> to be put into the metadata but that isn't working either. I have included a link to the page below.
Can anyone lend a hand? It would be greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar problem when I preview my mobile in Muse. All of my content gets shifted to the left or the menu get's shifted to the left. I don't have any elements or objects on the page the are overlaping into the browser background area of the site either. Please check out the screen shots that I have included below. While using Skype on my mac pro the screen freezes and splits in two and the left hand side shifts to the right and the right shifts to the left with a large black block down the centre, should I take it back to store as it is only a month old??

Generally it gets this info from the Identity in the preferences. Unfortunately, I know of no way to change the Login Name that shows up in the comments. I need to look at newer versions of Acrobat on other machines, this is AA8.

Can two or more place comments on a pdf file at the same time?

We use SharePoint to place pdf files for our team members to open and comment and review. Until recently we have not had any issues with two or more opening the same pdf at the same time and placing comments. But now we are losing some of the comments. Please advise.

I've seen changes I've made on my iPad show up on the same document that's been open all the time on my Mac, which suggests it might be possible. However, I've also had a small number of notifications that documents on different devices are not in sync with each other. So while it might have the potential to work, I'd be inclined to think it would be quite unreliable.
