Summary compliance by configuration baseline doesn't seem to be too helpful

I'm not really seeing anything helpful in the report for FEP configuration baseline. For example, I've assigned the "FEP - Standard Desktop" to all workstations. I see that i have computers which are "compliant", "failed", "non-compliant".
But the reporting page shows me no more detailed info. Am I missing something here. Is there a way to dig in to this info and find the machines which are in those various states?

This is old post but there are many improvements for FEP. Firstly it is fully integrated with SCCM and the successor to FEP is System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) and there are a lot of improvements in this release.

When i plug my shuffle into the usb port charger... it just blinks an orange light about 3 or 4 times and then does nothing. itunes isn't even registering that i have it plugged into my computer. I tried switching the usb port i had it pluged into and that didn't seem to work either. Is it broken???

I would leave it plugged into the wall socket using the supplied power adapter for at least one hour and see if it charges at all. If it does start charging - obviously continue to let it charge. Once you get to about 50% on the battery gauge if you want to try to turn it on with the sleep button go ahead and try.
If it still will not turn on but is holding a charge, remove the iPad from the power adapter and hold down on the sleep button and home button at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

Whenever I drag photos from safari to my desktop, it keeps on auto-arranging them. I've tried checking the arrange to none view option but it doesn't seem to work. HELP, PLEASE?

Customer service doesn't seem to want to help!

Rang customer service, got through after 15 minute wait. Did the usual pantomine asking about phone and line status, and the rep asked to ring me back on my mobile, which he did. At which point he had me open the OpenReach connection box to get at the test socket, and plug the landline phone into that for a new line test. At which point we got cut off (I'll be generous here)...I waited, and waited...no call back. So I rang the Customer Service number again, was told it would be a 10 minute wait...waited for 30 minutes and gave up. In the meantime, my "broadband" speed is 500K (strangely enough it is 700K upstream, which hardly makes sense at all)....I have rebooted the router, swapped the ADSL filter...and nothing improves.

DCM BitLocker protection assigned configuration baseline return ERROR in the compliance state

Here is the situation: I Installed MBAM 2.5 and done the integration with SCCM 20012 R2. Modified the GPO for the targeted clients.
Encryption started, DCM policies ran and Reports on SCCM server (after a long period), it returned compliances of my tests computers. I have removed and reinstalled SCCM integration. NOW, the SCCM clients are returning Configuration Baselines error
when the evaluate, (NOT Non-Compliant). It was running fine before.
here is a sample of my DcmWmiProvider.log:

You can see that the script is generating an error with an incorrect function. This is weird! That script was working correctly before. I don't even know where this script is located on the SCCM server.
Anyone can help me with this problem?

I think I found the root cause of this problem. I'm not 100% sure, but the
Configuration baseline ID that the client receive is reuse in the policy after uninstalling and reinstalling the MBAM Integration. The client can't find it on the configuration point, since it acquired a new AssignmentID when fetching the policies
and reevaluating the Configuration Base line.
Here how I fixed this:
I have exported using the Export function on the two Configuration Items named
BitLocker Operating System Drive Protection, BitLocker Fixed Data Drives Protection,
then created a new Configuration Baseline and imported the two Configurations Items. Deployed to the targeted collection. It work on first try. I also disabled the faulty one. You can also delete it, since it's useless. Now everything is all aligned
and working.
Hope someone can confirm this hypothesis or have a more elegant solution?

I have just created my First website using Muse and Its all been uploaded to my FTP server but i cant access the in browser editing which was the whole reason why i re-done the website for my client using muse

My ftp server responds to either the IP Address or the DNS Address www.calmwood.com.au
so i am not understanding how it thinks its different. when its fully referenced

Copy items to the iPhoto Library option doesn't seem to work

Hi, I'm using 7.1.1 and if I:
1. De-select the create "Copy items to the iPhoto Library" option in Preferences/Advanced
2. Create a new library
It doesn't seem to work. The images are still being copied into the library -- that is, if I show the package contents of the library, the data directory has the photos. Additionally, if I do something like open, modify in photoshop and save one of the imported files, it doesn't show up in iPhoto. Likewise if I modify the file in iPhoto and then look at the photo in the file system using Preview or Photoshop, the iPhoto changes don't appear.
Is this a bug? Is it not supposed to work like this? I believe that if I say "don't copy the files into the library" it means that it uses my original photos in their original location and that changes I make in iPhoto modify and manipulate the original files.
I've tried this on two different machines and get the same results. Anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It's not a bug. You don't understand correctly how iPhoto works in the "referenced" library mode. The Data folder contains the thumbnail files that iPhoto creates and needs to operate. The Originals folder will contain alias files linked to the source files at their location. Any edits, by iPhoto or by Photoshop configured correctly will result in a modified file in the Modified folder of iPhoto. *You should not open, rename, move or edit any file in the library package from the Finder.*
Using Photoshop to edit photos in iPHoto must be done by selecting PS as the editor to use in iPhoto's General Preferences section. Then follow the instructions below to edit photos correctly:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Safari on my iPhone 6 running 8.02 doesn't seem to work right. Some Java scripts don't show correctly and they do on other browsers I have downloaded. I tried almost everything and nothing seems to work to fix it. Please help.

Some websites like the one of my college uses JavaScripts and they seem to load correctly to a certain point but then not really. For example in one it would say select an option from the left menu. And I do it hut nothing happens. But when I go to the same website in another browser on my phone. The JavaScript works completely and allows me to see whatever I was clickig on that menu. I have seen that there are other websites being affected too. I tried clearing my cookies and data. even restarted my phone. And doesn't seem to work. I don't know how change the configuration any more to make it work like normal. At first I thought it was my school's website but it never got fixed. And now I realized is my safari browser! I wanna keep using it since I am really familiar with It. If someone knows how to fix this please let me know!

-Your device needs both the CR and LF. To accomplish this:
option 1: Concatenate the "end of line" string constant (this is a combination of CR and LF, located in the string pallete) to all your outgoing commands. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is false.
option 2: Concatenate only a CR to your command's strings. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is TRUE AND that the termination character is set to 10 (meaning LF) which I think is the default.

Interesting would be to configure the serial port to accept not one but two termination characters. The above links refers to the document "Developer Zone Tutorial: Termination Characters in NI-VISA.", where this is supposed to be possible. The document however is 404'ed.

WLSE doesn't seem to notice it when an Aironet device goes down

Aironet 1100 devices (267 pieces), IOS 12.2(13)JA4
After the upgrade from version 2.6 to 2.7 we have a problem with the WLSE. Device discoveries and inventories run without a problem, but whenever a device goes down the WLSE doesn't seem to notice.
With a sniffer we found the WLSE's polling the device, but there's no follow-up when there's no reply. As a result the device stays green.
All configurations are the same with the exeption of one location. Here we've configured the WDS and this is the only location on which the WLSE reacts in the correct way.
On several other locations there might be one or two devices on which the WLSE reacts correctly, but these are exeptions. We have compared configuration files, but can't find any differences between the devices.
Whenever the WLSE does discover a failing device (with no WDS configured) it generates a P1 severity fault (default was P2).
In case these devices have become reachable again the P1 severity fault is automatically acknowledged and remains this way. So far I haven't been able to clear these faults and therefor the device will keep it's alert status in the reportview.
I do hope somebody has some idea about what's going on.
After I encountered these problems after the upgrade I've started from scratch and used a clean installation of version 2.7. and a new discovery of our network.
I really don't know what went wrong. Anybody with any suggestions is very welcome to vent them.

I'm having a similar issue. 500+ AP1200 units, IOS 15JA, newest WLSE version. Most of the time when a unit goes down, it will generate a SNMP unreachable fault message, and we are set to have the WLSE send an email in the event of a SNMP unreachable. That's great. Except once in awhile, it won't generate the fault. The device could be powered completely down for three or four days, and I'd never get a fault message. It's driving me nuts. All these AP's are configured the same using the exact same template, with only the IP info changed.

Hi, I'm trying to run through this scenario ) on the Cloud Showroom and clearly the document I have (147_BPP_EN_UK.doc dated Oct 2008) is out of date or at least out of sync with the system as configured u2018in the cloudu2019 u2026.. the necessary roles specified in the document are not available in the cloud and some of the transactions are not there, e.g. VL10I.
But more infuriating is that the process just does seem to work, for instance from page 13 u2026.

In my case Iu2019m not clear what the u201CDisplay Material Variant screenu201D is u2013 the previous instruction (Item 6) from the document says u201CWhen all of the configurable choices have been selected, choose Back.u201C which takes you back to the document overview. Highlighting the line and pressing enter doesnu2019t do anything and there is no option to select the configurable line item that I can find so the expected material substitution doesnu2019t happenu2026.
I've got a couple of screen scrapes that show the approriate variant material being specified and found (Characteristic Value Assignment) but there doesn't seem to be any way to attach to the forum. I have tried to double click the variant material on the Characteristic Value Assignment screen and also tried clicking clicking once and then 'entering' but neither method resulted in the necessary substitution (i.e. the overview screen still shows F1000 and not the variant material F1000-P1 that has been specified?
Also the schedule line was confirmed as deliverable u2018todayu2019 even through there is not stock u2026 all very puzzling u2013 any help much appreciated.

I found the answer to this myself - I was looking at out of date best practice documents on our server, the latest bast practive documents are written for EHP4 and therefore should work on the 'cloud'.

Hyper-V Replica Doesn't Seem to Replicate Expanded VHDX File?

I'm running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials as a VM on Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 (Server Core). I am using Hyper-V replica and extended replication to copy the Essentials VM to two backup Hyper-V servers. This has been working
for months.
This evening my 2 Tb VHDX used by Essentials VM was nearly out of space. I took down the VM and expanded the VHDX to 4 Tb. Then I restarted Essentials and used Disk Manager to allocate the new 2 Tb to give me a 4 Tb of space for Essentials to use.
The primary VM seems to be working normally.
But Hyper-V replication doesn't seem to be functioning correctly. I'm wondering if I'll need to delete the replication and start over since the size of the VHDX increased compared to the original configuration?
When I try and get replication to resume (from primary to secondary) I am prompted to resync which I have attempted many times. The primary creates a snapshot and then after a few moments the snapshot is merged back into the primary VM. But the VHDX on the
secondary still shows it is 2 Tb in size. So the resynchronization doesn't seem to have completed correctly? Plus I have the option to "Resume Replication" from the primary which also implies the prior resyncrhonization failed.
I haven't found any error messages using Server Manager to explain why the resync seems to fail.
At one point I found I was able to resync from the secondary to the tertiary server. I don't know what that actually accomplished, but both still have a 2 Tb VHDX instead of the 4 Tb that should now be available.
Any ideas on how to get replica and extended replica to work without having to delete and start replication over from the beginning?

There was an error message that I'd overlooked and unfortunately this tells me I'll have to delete and restart replication from the beginning.

It seems that the Automatic Proxy Configuration URL doesn't work, I use the command netstat -a, can't see the connection to proxy server, but manual proxy is ok, and I tested on some others computers, most of these computers can work normally with Automatic Proxy Configuration URL.
For the computer can't work normally with Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, I did below actions
1.Clear the cache
2.update the version of firefox
3.reinstall the firefox
4.use the safemode to run firefox
but unfortunately, still doesn't work.
Can some dear friends give me a big favor for this? Thanks a million in advance!
