Summer 2009 Workshops for Adobe Visual Communicator 3

Once again I will be offering summer workshops for users of Adobe Visual Communicator 3. Workshops will be held at Adobe's Worldwide showcase school facility for VC3 and led by Rob Zdrojewski, Adobe Education Leader and Community Expert for VC3.
Topics will cover school newscasts, classroom video projects, uploading shows, student crew jobs, hardware recommendations, connecting equipment, setting up a studio, etc. I will show how you can begin a studio for around $500 and up, depending on your budget and needs.
Summer 2008 workshops sold out fast, so I am offering a survey to get input prior to scheduling workshops for summer 2009. Please complete the survey if you are interested in learning more about VC3 for education, business, or personal uses. As an incentive, I will be awarding a copy of VC3, and my two Training DVDs to a chosen responder to the survey ($267 value).

I have decided to ditch Visual Communicator as an option.
Apart from the poor support, I have tested the Trial version and it would not make sense to use the application in its cirrent form.
In a ten minute period using 2 cameras as a test, the application froze and crashed four times. Not acceptable as reliability is crucial.
The test was done on a Windows 7 64 bit machine with 4 physical Xeon Quad core 3GHZ processors and 32 GB RAM with a 2GB Graphics card, so performance was not the issue.
the application is just not stable.
I am getting better support and results from both Wirecast 4 and Cutfour.

Help in understanding using Visual Communicator 3

Up to know I run live streaming through our Steaming server using FMS and Flash Media Live Encoder as we only needed one camera for live video feeds.
We are looking at the ability now to use 2 live cameras and also the ability to snap in pre recorded video during live feeds and also provide lower third titles.
I am looking at:
Adobe Visual Communicator 3
Wirecast 4
CutFour
All of these provide the possible live switching I need.
I'm at the moment looking at the Trial version of Visual communicator and I am struggling getting my head around a few things.
I can hook up 2 -3 Sony A1 HD cameras in SD no problem and running it though FMS is fine. During test streams clicking on the cameras using the mini switcher is straight forward.
howevr I am struggling to work out how to do the following:
Add prerecorded video clips to Camera 3? ( in the Setup Tab it says " No Camera found - please connect a camera or replace with Photo or video Clip) How do I replace with a Video Clip?
How do I add premade titles, so that during the live feed I can put lower third titles in?
Finally, How do Provide an intro looping video to play before the live feed starts?
Any instructions would be appreciated

I wish I could help, but I am in a similar situation.
I need to deactivate it because we are getting rid of the computer it is on and are buying a new one. When I go to Help there is no Deactivate option. The only options are: "Help", "Hide Coach", "Tip of the Day", "Adobe Website", "Technical Support Website", "Frequently Asked Questions", "Check for Updates", "Register", "Download e-License..." (Greyed out), "Return e-License..." (Greyed out) and "About Adobe Visual Communicator 3". I spoke with support through chat and they said my product was no longer supported.

The Oracle related ones will probably available for download via the content builder etc shortly.
Mine can be seen here http://www.slideshare.net/MGralike , but you will not be able to download them (although maybe you are allowed via the Oracle content builder part). The reasons regarding them (aka mine) to be on "seen only", are that there went a lot of work and stress into them, the topics are not always clear if you weren't their (mostly slides with only pictures) so I want it to be in the right context and/or my company paid for the time making them (so I am only the representative on this on behalve of them).
If you have a valid reason that you me really need them then you could always drop me a line.

Visual Admin service not present for Adobe Interactive forms

Hi EP experts,
i want to use Adobe Document for creating Adobe Interactive forms in webdynpro java.
but initially i want to activate Adobe Document Service from Visual Admin..
For this ,Under Cluster tab of visual admin, i want to select Document Services Configuration to assign the credential under com.adobe~TrustManagerService.
But in visual admin of EP 6.0 SP19 there is no Document Services Configuration under services of cluster tab...
To enable this ,is there any need of any patch-up to be installed for Adobe Document Service.?
How should i confirm if alreadt respective Adobe Document Service or patch is Installed on EP server 6.0 SP19.

To Check whether it is installed or not go to Netweaver administration -- configuration --services -- adobe doc service - click on this link ,proper message will be display about its availability.

Air update fails for Adobe Community Help app

Everytime I open Adobe Audition Help I get a popup telling me Adobe Air has an update for me to install:
Installed: 2.5.1.17730
Update: 3.3.0.3670
Everytime it fails to install saying I need to contact the administrator. Well, that´s me . Does anybody know what to do?

Muse validation issue & Adobe's disregard for the professional community

The subscription service is ridiculous.
It took 4 hours troubleshooting with Adobe Support both on the phone and via their online chat feature on why my Muse subscription wouldn't validate. Finally, a tech told me that there is an issue with the Muse activation servers. So, I cannot use Muse at all, and I am going to miss a client deadline now.
Adding to my ire, there is no way to complain to Adobe - no direct e-mail address to customer service, and there is really is no "customer care" option on their phone service.
I cannot see how their subscription service is a teniable business model for their pro-users. We cannot have our production schedule impacted so severly on a product that we are licsensed to use.

I purchased the CC yesterday, and downloaded all applications. In my creative cloud it says everything is up to date, i'm running windows 7 ultimate and I have a custom built computer with specifications for Adobe for the next 100 years.
When I open Muse for the first time, it says I don't have a subscription and I have to buy it or try the trial. I used the chat help service which told me to call a phone number for support with muse. I called the number and went through the menu options only to be directed to www.adobe.com/go/muse and this thread is all I could find to help me, not to happy right now but I'll keep the software for now.
I want to use the Muse application I purchased, so what should I do now? I can't get a rep on the phone to help and I can't get a chat rep to help.

VBScript editor with Intellisense/Code Hinting support for Adobe App

I am looking for some tool to write my InDesign VBScript files in. I would really like to know if there is any which support Intellisense/Code hinting for Adobe programs (InDesign especialy). Do you have anything to recommend?
I am quite good at hacking my computer, so no registry change etc. is a problem for me, I just can not find any. I already tried PrimalScript 2009 but it doesn not work.
What I need is that in following block of code
Set myInDesign = CreateObject("InDesign.Application.CS4")
Set myDialog = myInDesign.Dialogs.Add
I will get list of all methods/properties after I write the dot after "myInDesign" in second line. But it never worked. I even tried to put "InDesign.Application.CS4/C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version 6.0\cs_CZ\Scripting Support\6.0\Resources for Visual Basic.tlb" line into Options>Text editor>Type libraries.
I am using Windows Vista SP1 and I have Adobe Creative Suite CS4 installed (upgrade from CS3 which was upgraded from CS2)

As I have said, I waited for next service release, which is as of now PrimalScript 2009 version 5.0.614 and I did some testing with it.
Results:
WinXP EN Professional
- Just pointing PrimalScript 2009 to typelib, no creative suite installed, working
- Installed Creative Suite CS3 Czech (trial mode) - Working, no need to setup anything
- Installed Creative Suite CS3 + CS4 Czech (trial mode) - Need to point PrimalScript 2009 to correct typelib, then 100% working
Windows Vista SP1 Ultimate EN (in trial/not activated mode)
- Just pointing PrimalScript 2009 to typelib, no creative suite installed, working
- Installed Creative Suite CS3 Czech (trial mode) - Need to point PrimalScript 2009 to correct typelib, then 100% working
- Installed Creative Suite CS3 + CS4 Czech (trial mode) - Need to point PrimalScript 2009 to correct typelib, then 100% working

I am not planning to use Win7 in near future, so I did not not run any test on it.
Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium Slovak (fully activated)
- Installed Creative Suite CS3 + CS4 Czech (full mode) - Not working. This is my main machine. It is Creative Suite CS2 upgraded to CS3 then CS4 (it is running for years without reinstall). I use CS3/CS4 side by side for some older projects. There are still references to CS2 in registry. I tried pointing PrimalScript 2009 to correct typelib, but to no avail. My conclussion is that there is someting messed with its config or registry, but I am pretty sure it would run after complete system reinstall.
Both WinXP EN Pro and Vista SP1 Ultimate EN were clean install into MS Virtual PC 2007, with only Creative Suite and PrimalScript 2009 5.0.614 installed into each machine so I made sure there are no other issues involved.
As I spend 80% of my time with developement of websites and scripting of MS Office/Creative Suite, I have some virtual machines set up for testing purposes. I will use one of them for development in PrimalScript and move it to main (real) Windows Vista Home Premium Slovak installed once I will decide to completely reinstall it. The need for seting up the typelibray link is no deal for me, as it is working as expected then, and I expect a lot ;-)
So problem solved, I found o program I will use. There may be others which do better or are cheaper (but I do not know about any) but $299 is not a big issue when I get what I want.
P.S.: The solution with making VBScript code with VBA declaration (using Dim) is not a solution I like, as I would need to comment it out everytime I run/edit the script and it would be pain in the *** while debugging it as i would need to do lot of comment/uncomment cycles and i can use my ime better then doing the monkey work as some fo the scripts I write are quite huge and I prefer to build them incrementaly and test/debug a lot.

Possible to Add Visual Communicator to Creative Cloud Suite?

Is there any possibility to have the Visual Communicator product added as a choice within the Creative Cloud suite as it would really help with what I am doing to have access to this product through subscription rather than buying it seperately?
I would love to find out if this can happen.
