Sun Solaris 5.8-64bit (Oracle 8174-64bit)를
IBM AIX 5.3-64bit (Oracle 8174-32bit with patch 2896876)로 exp/imp를 이용하여 이행하려 합니다.
(AIX 5L에 8174는 8174-32bit(with patch 2896876)밖에는 설치할 수 없습니다. )

What are the advantages/disadvantages of using PS/CS5 in 64bit over 32bit please?

From a practical perspective, besides the 64 bit version being a bit faster at just about everything, limitations on document size are lifted in the 64 bit version.  Essentially, how much can do is limited only by how much RAM you have installed in your system.  You can do things like have larger documents, deeper history, etc. and have it all work quickly.
On the other hand, many 3rd party plug-ins, especially older ones, only provide 32 bit versions, which will only run in 32 bit Photoshop.
Both 32 and 64 bit versions are installed by default.  It's important to note that most of the preferences are separate between the two, so you can have two slightly different setups that might help with specialty operations you might need.  This gets pretty subtle, but for example I keep the 32 bit version configured with only 1 cache level, so all previews of high bit depth images are always composited in high bit depth.  This aids me with some aspects of astroimage processing.  It's slower, but more accurate.  By contrast I have more cache levels configured for my 64 bit version, so that's faster for general photography work.

  • Change 64bit to 32bit

How do you Change 64bit to 32bit ?
Because i downloaded the file which took ages and now it wont work help ?

Your question isn't clear, but I'll make a guess at what you're asking.
After Effects CS5 is a 64-bit application. It requires a 64-bit operating system and 64-bit processor. There is no 32-bit version of After Effects CS5.
    After Effects CS4 is a 32-bit application.

    Hello,
Anyone know anything about running ODI studio on Windows 7 64bit or 32bit mode? Are there certification for this OS in either mode? What are the certification plans?
    Thanks,

Have a read of the certification matrix for 11G :- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oracle-data-integrator/oracle_odi_11gr1_(11.1.1.x)_certification_matrix.xls

  • Installation CS6 64bit and 32bit

When I installed the downloaded Photoshop CS6 software, the application offered to install BOTH 64bit AND 32bit versions.
Never seen that before, usually software looks at system and installs the correct version (or you choose before downloading).
    I have Windows 7 64bit system.
Is there a reason to install BOTH?  Is there a problem to have both installed?
    Thanks,

PS CS 6 on 64 bit machnie offers you both the options 32 bit as well as 64 bit.
Its your choice to install both or any one of it.
64 bit Photoshop can utilize more RAM installed on your machine and will respond better to larger files as compared to 32 bit
On 32 bit OS , there is no choice given because the only option left out is 32 bit photoshop.
If you install both the versions, there will be "NO PROBLEM AT ALL"

  • Java download 64bit vs 32bit

Hi, I am reading http://java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml. I just installed windows 7 64-bit. I checked I have default IE8 (no 64bit edition). I never knew browser will be a factor for java version, so I was thinking of downloading 64-bit JDK, but by reading it, should I really stay 32bit JDK? My final goal is to install weblogic portal. Weblogic portal has 32 bit download for most OS including eclipse already. It only has one generic binary for 64 bit for all OS, so I need to download JDK, eclipse separately. So before I go too far, I need to decide 64bit or 32bit. Thanks!

Your windows 64 bit has also the 64 bit IE. You can use IE 32 or 64 as you please, although by default, the 32 bit browser is launched. I guess the reason is that, for now, there are more plug-ins for it. Your best bet is to install both 32 and 64 bit Java. It works for me fine in the browser and outside. Of course, when you type java in a command prompt, Windows has to know which one to use, so just play with your path.

MS' recomm still is to use the 32 bit version of office unless your users have really large (excel) files that would benefit from x64: http://technet.microsoft.com/library/ee681792(v=office.15).aspx

    ・サーバーOS ・・・ Windows2008R2(64Bit)
Oracle 11g Release 2 Standard Edition x64
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
Oracle Data Provider for .NET 4 11.2.0.2.0

    ・サーバーOS ・・・ Windows2008(64Bit) RAM:8GB
Oracle 11g (11.1.0.7.0) Standard Edition One x64
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008

  • BW in 64bits with 32bits

    Dear Gurus!!!
I would like to know if I can work my landscapes of BW with:
    Data Base Server Production 64bits
    Application Server Production 32bits
    Development Server 32bits.
    Best Regards
    Luis

    OOOOOOOO, thats a good one.
SAP recommend you use 64bit unicode for all new systems. Yes it will work. for example you can run the DB on 64bit AIX with 32bit windows App Servers sat in from of it.
The only difference is the kernel, ie the SAP exes.
The 32bit DB client will be required on the 32bit App Servers.
Can i ask why you want to mix?

  • Which JRE type does the client have? (64bit or 32bit)

    Hello all,
I'm needing a way to programmatically find out whether the client machine is running a 32bit or 64bit JRE.
The reasoning for this is down to this …a 32bit JRE will load only 32bit dll's and a 64bit JRE loads only 64dll's.
Problem occurs when a 32bit JRE is installed on a 64bit machine (64bit Windows), when the customer tries to use the 64bit program it fails because the installed 32bit JRE tries to load 32bit dll’s (which aren’t there as the program is 64bit).
Anyway as the Java code is different (different API for the 32/64 dll’s) so I would like to run a check before the program installs that the client has got version that matches their installed JVM.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Satellite L505 - Does it come with Windows 7 64bit or 32bit disk?

I got a Satellite L505 computer with *preinstalled* Windows 7 64-bit version and a 32-bit product recovery disk. I have not created a backup of a 64-bit version and meantime reinstalled the system from the 32-bit recovery disk provided erasing my HD. I would however like to reinstall the 64-bit verision of Windows 7. I know that I can order a backup media from https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/ but it does not say wich version (64-bit or 32-bit) will be shipped to me.
If I check the model description on the Toshiba page it says that it is shipped with 64-bit version and includes 32-bit recovery disk. This descrition still leaves me with a question which backup media I would get from Toshiba. I have to be sure that I get the 64-bit WIndows 7 before I order one.
I would appreciate a confimation. Thanks!

    Hi buddy,
I think everything is ok and there is no open question. The description on the Toshiba website says everything: The notebook is shipped with 64bit Windows 7 version that means this version is preinstalled on your computer. Additional you get a 32bit version on a recovery disk and thats all!
So you didnt burn the 64bit recovery disk and that means you have to order a new one from Toshiba. I assume you will get both versions then 32bit and 64bit.

  • CS5, transfering an image from 64bit to 32bit

I did a search but failed to find the answer, perhaps I asked it wrong, but in the meantime.
I have a 3rd party plug-in I love (Kodak/ASF Digital GEM Airbrush). It only works in 32bit mode (and that took me awhile to figure out where I had to put it to get it to work). But everything I need to do to the image before I run that plug-in can be done better and faster in 64bit mode.
So is there an easier way then saving the image as a .TIF or PS format, opening up 32bit version of PS CS5, to transfer the image to 32bit so I can run the 32bit plug-in?
I had thought I read there was a way to just transfer the image over into 32bit PS mode, but I have not been able to figure out how to do that yet.
I am running Win 7 if that makes a difference.
And for trivia, it looks like Kodak is no longer supporting upgrades of that plug-in.
Have not found anything that works better yet.

You've got the wrong forum, this forum is about the Community Help Application, please ask your question in the Photoshop forums:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop
As for your question, there's nothing to "transfer", you simply open the image in the 32bit version of Photoshop when you want to use that plug-in and when you're finished you save the file, close Photoshop and then open the image in the 64bit version if you want/need to use the extra ram to further editing.

  • I uninstalled PS CC 2014 (64-bit) from my computer thinking I didn't need both the 64bit and 32bit version on my PC.

I thought i was uninstalling the 32bit version and I guess that's what I get for thinking. I do have the 32bit version.  What do I need to do to get/download my 64bit version back? Someone had mentioned deactivating before uninstalling? Have no idea how to do that if you're even suppose to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Marc N

uninstall the 32 bit version too.
then follow solution 2 here if your cc desktop app still shows that ps is up-to-date, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed
then reinstall using your cc desktop app.
