Purchase info record is not showing in po.
Hi all,
while creating purchase order i m giving purchase info record no but values from info record
is not updating in purchase order.plz help.
best regards.Hi Nissinha,
There are so many ways to be analysed for the cause. Because PIR -Purchase info record:
Please check in order of priority while diagnosing and finding for the solution:
1. Check wether the PIR is created for the Vendor of that perticular material or not.
2. Check for the validity (valid upto which date) mentioned in the PIR
3. Check for the type of Info record (based on Item category) it is such as Standard, Sub contracting, etc
Hope it clarifies

Payment terms in Vendor Master data and purchasing info record
Hi, all, I met one trouble. While I create Purchase Order. In the header item, payment terms is automatically pop up from the data maintaining the vendor master data or purchasing info record if there is difference payment terms between in vendor master data and in purchasing info record. What happend?
Sometimes, When you create purchase order, payment terms is not automatically pop up even you maintained in the vendor master data or purchasing info record. Why? Is it meaning that I can manually to input payment terms while create each purchase order which can be difference data with vendor master data or purchase info record?
Thank you very much in advance,Hi,
The payment terms is usually defaulted from either vendor master or purchasing master data record such as contract/outline agreement. Unless it is set through configuration that the payment terms be set as mandatory, any failure to maintain payment terms won't stop you from posting your PO as this information will only be useful during invoice receipt maintenance. Having said that if you are setting up your system with discount condition type as part of your PO pricing schema then it is necessary that the payment terms shall be maintained during PO creation.
Cheers,

hi SAP,
In purchase info record in deletion flag i tick the check delete info record. if i do this values from info record will not come when i create purchase order.
What are the other ways the values are coming to my purchase order if the info record for that particular material is deleted .
rgds
karanHello,
Check On the analysis button on the condition tab of the purchase order line item.
here you will find the pricing procedure system is picking up. Also you will get all the condition type there.
Check the first condition type PB00.
Click on the arrow mark before PB00 and drop down you will see all the acess sequence for that condition type new see agaist which acess sequence you can find arrow mark. From there you can analyze and will come to know system is picking up price from which aces sequence.
Outline agreement
Contract or Inforecord.
IIf you give deletion flag to Inforecord then also system will picking up price from info record. But if you keep the condtion record validity period as yesterdays date in ME12 or MEk2 transaction then system will not pickup from inforecord but it will pick up last PO price.
So if you dont want Info record price to pick up then change the condtion type validity perid as past dates.

Purchase Info record unable to find from ME57
Hi All,
I created Purchase info record(ME13) and Source list(ME03). But when I run MRP then purchase requisition is creating ,But
when I check in ME57,Purchase requisition unable to find the purchase info record for that material.
Please advise.
PranithaHi
In source list you are only entering the vendor not the info record, if you are entering an outline agrrement either contract or sched.agreement in the source list (in the agreement column) ,then yu will get the agreement number in the p.req.
But you are entering just vendor mane in the source list so yu will get the vendor name only in the p.r
create a sourcelist for the material ,in that enter any agreement name and save ,then run MRP you will get the agreement number in the screen
Check it out
It is std.sap procedure, if you are creating a p.req manually you will get the info record number in the item detail.
Bur via MRP you can only get the fixed vendor because in the source list you are entering only the vendor name ,you are not menttioning the info record number.
But incase of outline agreement you are entering the agreement number in the sourcelist.
MRP is ceated purely based on what you have entered in the source list. hope you clear.
Let me know if you have any clarification on this.

Use of Purchase info records in SRM SC in Extended Classic scenario
Hi All,
We have implemented SRM 7.13 with Extended classic scenario. If we have Purchase info record in SAP ECC for the material, it gets populated in SRM SC in Source of supply Tab but the price of Purchase info record does not get updated in the SC line item.
Can anyone let me know which configurations is required to fetch the Purchase info record price or we need to have a customization to achieve this.
Thanks,
AnkurHI Ankur
when you say the price did not get updated did you check the sequence which is used for price determination ?
1. User entry
2. Contracts
3. Info record
If still you think it is an issue please check the report EBP_GET_BACKEND_PRICES and let me know if your problem gets fixed?

Customizing the Enjoy PO document overview for Purchase Info Records (PIR)
Greetings!
I am looking to use purchase info records to store material pricing information but we donu2019t want to lose the document overview functionality that SAP delivers with the enjoy PO screens (ME21n, ME22n, ME23n).
Has anyone had success implementing user exit MEQUERY1 to customize the document overview so that a purchase info record query can be added to the document overview & the attributes of the purchase info record can be copied over to the PO?
Iu2019d be curious to know what solutions other SAP shops came up with.
Thanks.
Richard WortmannNick,
Thanks for the reply. We will have the source list generated for the purchase info records (PIRs) however the gap I'm looking to solve for is mainly for non-MRP material buys.
Our current business situation allows material handlers to run a query in the document overview to ID specific materials on a purchasing contract (aka outline agreement) and drag those materials to the shopping cart on the PO. This provides a very easy process for the buyer to ID materials & supplier relationships.
Since we are moving away from purchasing contracts we want to continue with the same drag and drop process but only allow PIR's to be selected in the query.
Looks like in OSS note 377180 SAP provides a user exit to implement this functionality (via MEQUERY1)- I'm just wondering if anyone has had success adding a PIR query to the document overview and creating POu2019s with reference to that query.
Thanks.

Purchasing info record for vendor's material number ONLY?
Hello gurus,
we have materials that must be ordered with refernce to a contract. We purchase these materials only from one vendor and exclusively using that contract (only one source of supply). We do need purchasing info records to store the vendor's material number.
Now, the problem is that if we have one contract and a purchasing info record, the system interprets the PIR as a second dource of supply. So, when I create a new PO, the price is automatically taken from the PIR and not from the contract.
Is it possible to create PIR's for the vendor's material number without creating a second soucre of supply?
Thanks in advance
Alicia
PS: I do know that i can use order lists but that does not solve the problem when manually creating a new PO...why dont you maintain the vendors material number already in the contract item?
why do you create an info record that has a different price than the contract?

Dear Group Members
1. How Purchase info is created automatically?
Purchase info record is not updated when we use ordering measure in PR
(followed the instruction as per sap help)
I donu2019t want to change Purchase info
details as followed from SAP HELP DOCUMENT
Message No : ME898
UNIT H is not intentend as an order unit
System Response:
The system check whether the order unit you entered is allowed for this purchase order by comparing the order unit you entered with the order unit that the system determined
The system check the potential source of the order unit in the given sequence. if a source is not available (if the purchase order is not referenced to a preceding document for example ) then the system checks the next possible source ( such as purchase requisition ):
1 If you create a PO with reference to a proceeding document (PO, Contract or request for quotation), the system copies the order unit from the preceding document. The Var. OUn (variable order unit) indicator must not be selected in the Purchase info record
2 If you create a po with reference to PR and the var, OUn indicator is selected in the purchasing info record, the system copies the order unit from purchase requisition.
In Enjoy PR ( ME51N)you can maintain the order unit on the item detail screen on the sorce of supply tab. in the normal PR (ME51)you can maintain the order unit on the item details screen
3 When the Purchasing info record for the combination of vendor and material exists, the system copies the order unit from the purchasing info record
4 IF you create a purchase order with reference to PR and VAr .OUn is not selected in the purchasing info record, the system copies the order unit from the purchasing requisition
5 If you create a purchase order with reference to a pr and their is no existing purchase info record for the combination of vendor & material , then the system copies the unit of measure from the PR item in the item overview.
6 If you create a normal purchase order the system copies the order unit the material master
7 When you create a stock transport order the system copies the unit of measure from material master
8 If order unit and the unit of measure were not defined in the material master the system copies the material master base unit of measure
You people guide me how can i update Purchase info record?
I have Query to be solved .
Regards
ShamulheqHi ! Jason M.
I checked the below configuration
SPRO - MM - Purchasing - Purchase order - Define screen layout at doc.level - Select ME21N - details - administrative data, item - Info update (optional or required).
In my configuration screen Info update is optional
Even though info records are not updated
My Query
PR Unit of measure is created in each, PO had created in each in the month of June & info records are in each fo the vendor
Now the Purchase group realize that the PO should be in Days
We made the changes in Material master ordering unit of Measure in days DAY
A) If we Crete PO system will not allow to save PO in days but only allows to save in Unit of measure as EA
B) If PO created by removing the info record PO is saved in unit of measure as days with the same info record
But info records are not updating Pleas provide some solution solve this

Purchasing Info Record and Source list
Hi all,
I am using purchasing info record along with a price for the vendor and material. This would get the net price into the Purchase order. Do i really need to create source list ? What will source list do for me ? Wouldn't having info record be sufficient ?
Looking forward to hear your suggestions.
Thank you.
JoyceHi Joyce,
If you have not maintained valid conditions in your Pur info record then price is picked from last purchase order through purchase order price history if customizing settings allow so (In your case if customizing settings allow and the net price 100 in the info record is not from valid conditions, price picked will be 250).
In the price determination process in PO system always first looks for pur info records with valid conditions if not found then it looks for last PO price.
There is also a parameter for default values for buyers called EVO. If you make settings in customizing for this parameter and tick the Chkbox for picking the last purchase order price in it and you attach this parameter to your user ID in the user-own data with PI value, then last PO price is picked as default value in the net price.

Source List -
The source list is used in the administration of sources of supply. It specifies the allowed (and disallowed) sources of a material for a certain plant within a predefined period. Each source is defined by means of a source list record.
The source list serves:
To define a source of supply as "fixed". Such sources count as preferred sources over a certain period of time.(For example, the fixed vendor for material 1 is X for the first quarter and Yfor the second quarter of the year.)
To define a source of supply as "blocked".(This means, for example, that contract 123 may not be used for a certain period of time.)
As an aid in selecting the preferred source during the source determination process.(For example, the vendor A is determined as the source for an item of a requisition dated 15th June relating to material 1.)
To block the external procurement of a material

Purchase info record does not exists in purchase organization 1000
Hi experts,
I have created a new enterprise structure in SAP. when i am creating a PO its picking the correct info record, but when i am doing GR, its giving the error as 'purchase info record does not exists in purchase organization 1000". I have maintained everything perfect. the only thing i have changed is I have moved the open and close period from 11-2002 to 12-2008 in MMPV.
Please give me some suggestions, where it can go wrong.
Thanks & Regards,
Poorna.Hi Guys,
Thanks for all yours responses, Actually what deepak said was right, but in my IDES system i am not able to create new entries in assign plant to std purchase org. I found the database view for that, V_001W_E its for table T001W. So i looked into that table i found that std purchase org was given as 1000. i made direct entries in that table, i thought the reason for this may be due to , that i copied plant from 1000. After making entries , i did not got the error message that was i am previously getting.
Thanks & Regards,

Report for Materials expired with price on Purchase Info Record
Hi Experts,
Can anyone of you advice a report in SAP that can identify the materials where the price has expired on Purchase Info Record.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
NagarjunHI,
ME1P will be used to monitor the changes in terms of pricing conditions you made to your info record via Transaction MEKP.
In case of SA, you will have to build up your simple query by joining two tables A016 and KONP.
