I sorry about wrong question, error *9fb is undefined* generate when user send a email. I don't change Convergence. Sometime this problem appears about 3 times every day when user send a email. That was what I suspected.
You are hitting bug#6803188 - "javascript error when sending reply after idle time".
This bug is fixed in the next Convergence patch (-07) which will be available with Comm-Suite-6 update 2.

    I have Sun Convergence with patch 10.01_182930 and GF v2.1 Patch05 (9.1_02 Patch11). I wonder if I can install the latest patch of GF with my Convergence ... and which GF should be correct to the latest Convergence (patch 11).

    Why back-end don't move this message for front-end send to gmail ? By default the MTA will attempt to deliver the email based on the MX record of the domain of the recipient (gmail.com in this case).
    You need to configure the back-end MTA to send the email to the front-end or you could enable LMTP from the front-end => back-end which would cause the mailForwardingAddress: expansion to occur on the front-end.
    To get the back-end to relay external-bound emails (tcp_local) to the front-end MTA, make the following changes on the back-end MTA:
    a) Add daemon <front-end hostname> to the tcp_local channel definition in the imta.cnf file.
    b) Change the tcp_local channel definition in the same imta.cnf file so that "mx" is "nomx" and "single_sys" is "multiple"
    So you should have something like:
    ! tcp_local
    tcp_local smtp nomx multiple remotehost inner switchchannel identnonenumeric pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver maysaslserver saslswitchchannel daemon frontendmta.domain.com
    tcp_auth loopcheck
    tcp-daemonc) Run ./imsimta cnbuild;./imsimta restart
    To use LMTP between the front-end and back-end refer to:

  • Maxmessagesize for each hosted domain on Sun Convergence.

    Hi
    When I set service.http.maxmessagesize, service.http.maxpostsize parameters is 20MB, all hosted domain in mail server is offered. But I want to limit message size for each hosted domain and set message size for them.
    Ex:
    hosted domain 1: abc.com maxmessagesize is 10MB
    and hosted domain 2: def.com maxmessagesize is 20MB.
    Can anyone help me ?
    I use Sun Convergence to send/recv email.

    >
    Please always provide the version of Messaging Server that you are running (./imsimta version).
    When I set service.http.maxmessagesize, service.http.maxpostsize parameters is 20MB, all hosted domain in mail server is offered. But I want to limit message size for each hosted domain and set message size for them.
    Ex:
    hosted domain 1: abc.com maxmessagesize is 10MB
    and hosted domain 2: def.com maxmessagesize is 20MB.There is no per-domain service.http.maxmessagesize parameter. You can however restrict the size of the email that each domain can send at the MTA level through the use of a channel-level sieve e.g.
    require ["ereject"];
    # Restrict abc.com to 10MB
    if address :domain :is "from" "abc.com" {
       if size :over 10M {
          ereject "Email exceeded maximum message size of 10MB for domain abc.com";
       stop;
    # Restrict def.com to 20MB
    if address :domain :is "from" "def.com" {
       if size :over 20M {
          ereject "Email exceeded maximum message size of 20MB for domain def.com";
       stop;
    }Regards,

    Hi,
    i've created two domains on the sun convergence and created 5 users on each domain.
    For instance
    domainA.net - 5 users
    domainB.net - 5 users
    i took one user from domainA and logged with user name(login name) & password.it was sucessful.
    but i took one user from domainB and logged with user name(login name) & password.but it failed.whereas i can able to logon with [email protected]
    Please can you tell what modification to be done , inorder to the users on domainB can log on without the full email address.
    Thanks
    V Balu

    Make an A record for domainA.net and domainB.net to point to the server hosting iwc
    User from domainA login to
    http://mail.domainA.net/iwc
    Users from DomainB login to
    http://mail.domainB.net/iwc
    Thats the easy way.

    does any one have guide for setup calender 7 and Im 8x in Sun Convergence ?Calendar Server 7 does not yet integrate with Convergence -- this functionality is to be added in a future release of Communications Suite. If you want the calendar service in Convergence you will need to install and configure Calendar Server 6.3.
    With regards to Instant Messaging Server, you will need to provide more details about what isn't working.
    What do you mean by "can not login to IM"?
    Are you able to access Instant Messaging server via the Java IM client?

  • Sun Convergence default language

    Question. Does anybody know, how to change default language of Sun Convergence client.
    Changeing base.defaultlocale to different locale does not solve the problem.
    After user logs out of the client it is redirected back to "en-us" loacle.
    .../iwc_static/layout/login.html?lang=en-us&9.01_201327&svcs=abs,mail,calendar,c11n
    Any idea where does "lang" parameter comes from?

    Any idea where does "lang" parameter comes from?The value of the "lang" parameter for the login page is dictated by the end-user browser preferences. So if the browser is configured to have a preferred language of "en-us" then you will see "lang=en-us".

  • Sun Convergence for user with disabled calendar service

    I have Communication Suite 7 installed with the "Sun Convergence" web interface.
    I create a test user with a disabled calendar service (service package platinum).
    The user test logged in in Sun Convergence web interface and I'm surprised,
    that the calendar for him is available.
    How can I disable the calendar view in Sun Convergence for user with disabled calendar service?
    Thank you.

    petrahu wrote:
    I'm getting the expected result with a service package for mail and calendar,
    e.g. mercury, and setting the status of calendar service to inactive or disabled.The behaviour you are seeing is both "expected" (i.e. as per the current Convergence design) and "unexpected" (i.e. doesn't make sense from a DA service provisioning perspective). It is a real "can-o-worms".
    The problem stems back to the "local.autoprovision" functionality provided at the Calendar Server end (enabled by default):
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4654/acajh?l=En&a=view
    "The first time a user logs in, the user's LDAP entry in updated to add calendar service, and a default calendar is created. The user entry must already exist in the LDAP directory. If it does not, an error is returned."
    So even if the calendar service has not been granted at the Delegated Administrator end, the calendar server will "helpfully" add the required objectclasses/attributes when a client (such as Convergence) attempts to login as that user.
    This means Convergence cannot automatically assume a user is not able to access the Calendar service based on the users current objectclass/attribute settings.
    This leads to an existing bug for Convergence:
    Bug#6871400 - "Mail only user is able to access the calendar service"
    I've also created a new Change Request for Calendar Server:
    RFE#6898717 - "local.autoprovision should be disabled by default"
    Please raise this issue with Sun support (log a support request) if you believe the current behaviour is confusing/needs changing (i.e. fix the bug/RFE above).
    Regards,
    Shane.

  • Sun Convergence hung

    Hi,
    I have 2 instances of Sun Convergence. Both instances run well, but Application (or Application Server) sometimes hung.
    If it happen I have blank login screen, server has no load, can't login or do something.
    I'm still watching with jconsole JVM behaviour and there are nothing strange (resources, connection, threads, memory - JVM looks normal). I register in server.log and jvm.log some jave exception. My Application Sevrer was tuned with Sun Convergence manual.
    I wonder if some other people (Sun Convergence administrators) have noticed some similar.

  • Sun Convergence - allow access with spaces as password

    Hi,
    We've discovered that Sun Convergence log in as any user when we write space sign without any other signs in password field. It's lok like ldap search (or bind) command fails if only spaces are in password field.
    We use:
    - Convergence with patch 12 and 10.
    - Directory Server 5.2 (not recomennded, but on compatibile list)
    We read some threards about similar problem with LDAP auth, but ... thera are not Sun Products. I suspect that problem are in LDAP (implementation Convergence requests).
    We have temporary workaround, but ... it very bad. Any people have acces to any known user.
    I woonder if some other have similar problem
