Sun GlassFish Mobility Platform Administration Console: Authentication fail

Dear All,
I have installed Sun GlassFish Mobility Platform and Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server v2.1 is also installed in the process. However i can log in to the the Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server v2.1. But I can not log in to the Sun GlassFish Mobility Platform, every time i try, it gives a authentication fail. Can anyone please help?
Regards
Sahrear

Hi Tomamiro,
Thanks for your reply. But i tried with username: admin and password: adminpass as was in default configuration. I also tried with password: syncpass, but still no luck. But interestingly i can always log in to the "Sun Glassfish server v2.1 administration console" with the username: admin and password: adminpass. But can never log in to the "SGMP administration console"!
Moving forward, i'm already frustrated with SGMP since the support is not as good as sun's other forums. I may try a fresh installation tomorrow but after that i'm not sure whether i will try again or not. Please let me know how to solve this problem if you can.
I really appreciated your effort, thanks again.

  • Systems and platforms: Windows for GlassFish Mobility Platform 1.1

    Hi all,
I'm new to sun glassfish mobility and wanted to try out the solution. I have a small company for J2ME based hadheld application development. Please help me with below questions.
    - As per Sun GlassFish Mobility Platform technical spec below, for operating systems and platforms i have Windows, but it says development only. What does it mean? Is it that i can not run the Sun "GlassFish Mobility Platform 1.1" in windows system?
    Please suggest.
    Platforms and Requirements
    Operating Systems and Platforms
    Solaris 10 Operating System
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5
    * Windows (development only)*
    Application Server
    Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server 2.1
    Client Platform
Java Platform, Mobile Edition (Java ME)
    CDC 1.1.2, CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0
    Development Kit
    J2SE 5.0 and JDK 6
    Synchronization Databases
    MySQL
    * Oracle 9/10

This means that we don't support deployments of the gateway server on the Windows OS in a production environment.
The platform deploys and runs fine on Windows, we have systems running the platform on NT, XP and Vista and we support development of Mobility Platform applications on Windows.

  • Unable to open "Mobile Enterprise Platform Administration Console"

    http://localhost:8080/sync/admin/faces/jsp/login.jsp
The above url opens Mobile Enterprise
    Platform Enterprise Tier Administration Console.
What is the url for opnening Mobile Enterprise Platform Administration Console?

The URL is the same except for the hostname. It should be the host where you did
a single tier install or installed tier1. The "Tier Admininstration Console" comes
    up for tier2.

  • Can't access the console - Authentication failed

    Hi,
I've just finished with DS and AM setup (consecutively).
The AM setup was done with Configure Now JES wizard, with Webserver, everything on the same machine - remote doesn't work. Everything fine.
When I try to access the console, I always get the message:

I've tried admin, amldapuser, amadmin, amAdmin.

    Any suggestions?
    Best regards,
    Luiz Felipe.

I can't remember very well, but I think I reinstalled AM and DS, But I can't remember very well.
BTW, I'm gently answering your question suggesting this tip, but I've gave up about JES. So, don't trust me a lot ;)
Maybe I will try the 2006 version... maybe.

We faced a similar problem recently and we would like to document the solution for it. The root cause of the problem was traced to the absence of certain index configurations in the Directory Server. Because of this Access Manager was unable to fetch certain data from the backend directory during authentication.
At the time of configuration, Access Manager creates certain indexes in the LDAP Directory under the node: cn=index,cn=<databaseName>,cn=ldbm database,cn=plugins,cn=config.
where <databaseName> is the name of the database storing your Access Manager tree e.g. userRoot.
The indexes are created from the file - /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/ldif/index.ldif.
So if you are facing authentication failure problem - please cross check against the index.ldif file and verify the creation of each index. If index on a specific attribute is missing follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
    * Use ldapmodify to upload the file /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/ldif/index.ldif onto each DS instance
    ldapmodify -h <host> -p <port> -D "cn=directory manager" -w <pwd> -a -c -f /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/ldif/index.ldif
    * Run the command db2index.pl to generate new set of indexes to be maintained by the server.

  • Console Authentication Failed

    I'm trying to set up reverse console access in the lab;
AUX port on router R1 is connected to Console port on switch SW1.
    On R1 I have the following configuration;
    aaa new-model
aaa authentication login default group tacacs+ local
aaa authentication enable default group tacacs+ enable
aaa authorization exec default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aaa authorization commands 15 default group tacacs+ if-authenticated

    I can telnet to R1, and then telnet to its own loopback0 interface on port 2001, which connects me to SW1;

[Connection to 1.2.3.4 closed by foreign host]

No matter what configuration I try I always get this "% Authorization failed". I can telnet to SW1, just fine with the following configuration, what's missing to allow reverse access to work correcrtly?
    aaa new-model
aaa authentication login default group tacacs+ local
aaa authentication enable default group tacacs+ enable

    Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the input but unfortunately I'm still stumped! I can't see why it wouldn't work, a bit more fiddeling, latest configs are below but it seems like it should work to me. I dropped "aaa authorization reverse-access default group tacacs+ local" from R1, now instead of being able to log into SW1 and get the "% Authorization failed." error, I get nothing and it just hangs indefinatly never actually logging in or failing.

  • Essbase Administration Console error "failed to create client directory to write error file"

I am getting the following error while trying to load data using EAS v11.1.2.3
"failed to create client directory to write error file"
Any known root cause for this.

Check the default error directory while loading data? The error file in 11.1.2.2 points to C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\eas\client, which is already on the system where EAS is installed.
If the folder is not there then it is a bug, however you can change it to an existing path.

  • Authentication Failed :  BPEL Console and BPEL Admin

    Hi ,
I am trying to log in to BPEL Console repeatedly. I am using the user oc4jadmin. I have logged in successfully previously using oc4jadmin.
I read somewhere that a workaround is
"Workaround is you take login_error.jsp off from URL http://<host>:<port>/BPELConsole/login_error.jsp, So your URL would look like http://<host>:<port>/BPELConsole/. This will automatically log you in. Since the problem was with redirection and not with your credentials"
This is also not working for me.
Could it be possible that I have locked this account ? Is so, how can I unlock it .
Any suggestions on why I get repeatedly Authentication Failed ?

  • User Authentication Failed via http BUT not with Visual Administrator !!?

    OS : Win 2k3 Server UK * DB : SQL Server 2005
    SAP Netweaver 2004s Application Java
    Hi All,
Since a couple of days, I have a problem concerning authentication to the java apllication on a SAP Netweaver 2004s.
Using the user ‘Administrator’, I CAN logon the Visual Administrator tool, with the same user I tried to logon via http://host:port/nwa without success.
At the beginning, I was thinking about a problem of password then I enabled the emergency user SAP*, the problem was the same. Ok with Visual Administrator but not via http.
Here is two logs found in folder : D:\usr\sap\SID\JC02\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\system\

&#61664; I tried to connect http://host:port/sld same problem User Authentication Failed
<b>Do you have an idea for me? Why a user can connect via Visual Administrator and not via the http interface?</b>
    Thanks in advance
    Yves

    Hi,
I found the solution this last week-end.
This behavior let's thinking to a problem of authentication.
But the problem was in SQL, an index was missing in table J2EE_CONFIG, called J2EE_CONFIG_I3
    Cheers
    Yves

  • Directory server - administration console, system server console fail

The server is solaris 10, with the java 1.4, and the Sun One directory server 5.2 was installed from a compressed file
    System Administration Server
    System Administration Console
    Sun Java(TM) System Server Console
All were installed, but there's no connection to the Administration Console on port 390. Isw there any documentation available that will help to troubleshoot this? Any recommendations as to how to resolve the difficulty?

I usually get to the admin console by running /var/opt/mps/serverroot/startconsole.
Its an X application so you will need to have $DISPLAY set.

  • Portal administrator authentication failed

Could any one please help on this one.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
if you are able to login to server through SAP LOGON , then you need to check for the authorizations....
from sap easy access you go to SU01 and check for the roles.....and on the Integration Builder screen click on administration and check for the roles in Java Stack....
hopefully you can solve your problem...
    Thanks,
    Madhu

  • Exchange Management Console couldn't start with Kerberos authentication failed

When I was making changes to Client Access\owa settings, chaning from Basic authentication to Form authentication (upn name) then changed to Basic again. It was ok after changing to Form authentication but moment after changing back to Basic, I couldn't
no longer access owa (blank page when one vertical line) and in Exchange Management Console, I got "Initialization failed" - The following error occured while attempting to connect to the specified Exchange server 'sgp-ex1.mydomain.com':
The attempt to connect to http://sgp-ex1.mydomain.com/powershell using "Kerberos" authentication failed: Connecting to the remote server failed with the following error message: The WinRM client cannto process
the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalid. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
I tried the troubleshooting tool from Exchange team blog:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2010/12/07/3411644.aspx. It give 3 possible causes for this error: 1. WSMan module entry is missing from global module section of c:\Windows\System32\InetSrv\Config\ApplicationHost.config; 2. Kerbauth module shows
up as Managed module or has been loaded in the Default Web Site Level; 3. The Path of the Powershell virtual directory has been modified.
I checked carefully, all the 3 causes do not apply to my situation as WSman entry is in order, the Kerbauth is native and local and the path of Powershell virtual directory is correct.
I find that in Application log, there are Event 2297 and 2307 dumped at the time of failure:
The worker process for application pool 'MSExchangeSyncAppPool' encountered an error 'Confiugration file in not well-formed XML' trying to read configuration data from file '\\?\C:\inetpubl\temp\apppools\MSExchangeSyncAppPool\MSExchangeSyncAppPool.config',
line number '2'. The data field contains the error code.
    Help is very much appreciated.
Valuable skills are not learned, learned skills aren't valuable.

Unfortunately, all the links you provided didn't help.
The first link contains 3 methods:1 Removing WinRM feature and reinstalling. 2 Rename the web.config file in location C:\inetpub\wwwroot 3 Have you installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4. I?
As my server is Windows 2008 R2, the first method does not apply. I couldn't find any web.config in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot. The web.config however is found in many times in .netframework and winsxs directories. The 3rd method doesn't apply as I don't have CRM.
The 2nd link contains 3 possible causes. The first 2 are the same as the ones I mentioned in my initial post. I couldn't verify the last cause because when open Exchange Management Shell, I got this error: [sgp.ex1.mydomain.com] connecting to remote server
failed with the following server failed with the following error message: The WinRM client cannot process the request, it cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalide. For more
information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
I do not think the user is not remote powershell enabled because the problem happened suddenly, while I was making changes to Authentication settings of OWA(default) in Client Access in Exchange Management Console. If the user account is not remote powershell
enabled, then I couldn't event connect to EMC in the first place.
The last link didn't help because I could open up modules under PowerShell virtual directory in IIS.
I think since the event log is saying MSExchangeSyncAppPool.config and DefaultAppPool.config not well-formed XML, that might be a clue.
In the event id 2307 this is the message:
The worker process for application pool 'DefaultAppPool' encountered an error 'Configuration file is not well-formed XML
' trying to read configuration data from file '\\?\C:\inetpub\temp\apppools\DefaultAppPool\DefaultAppPool.config', line number '2'.  The data field contains the error code.
