Sun Netra 210 Interconnection With Procurve 3500 Switch

Hi, why does my sunnetra210 seems unable to send data packet over HP Procurve 3500 Core Switch?
Thanks in advance

Dear sir,
i already tried that,
i also have try to use another port on the switch.
The strange thing is, when i use laptop (with the same ipadress as the Sun), other computer from another segment can ping, But, when i returned the ipadress to the Sun server, they cannot ping (RTO).

    Hi All,
Why does my sun netra 210 cannot passed the network packet over HP Procurve 3500yl Core Switch?
But, no problem occured when i use Cisco Catalyst Core Switch.
Is there any incompability between Sun and Hp Procurve, or i need to install new patches? Please help me.

  • Netra 210 - problem with powering on (SEEPROM access failed)

    Hi,
Almost everyday, when I for the first time power on the NETRA-210 server by "poweron" command or by pressing button, the server says:
    Configuring system memory & CPU(s)
    ERROR: motherboard SEEPROM access failed
    System configuration failed, powering off
The second try of powering on is successfull, no error is displayed, system boots with .
System is updated with latest patches and the OBP version is 4.22.33 (patch 121683-06), but it does not solve the problem.
    Best regards.

You do know that JavaScript is a different language that Java, right?

  • Installation failed when using Jumpstart Server to install SUN Netra T1 200

I have a problem to install a couple of Sun Netra T1 200 Servers with a Jumpstart Server. The Jumpstart Server is set up and I have executed the add_install_client Script. If I boot the Server which should to be installed the server crashes after getting the assigned IP-Address with a software fault.
Attached i will sent the Jumpstart-Client-Output and the config Files of the Jumpstart-Server.

    # attributes and profiles.
    # This example rules file contains:
    #   o syntax of a rule used in the rules file
    #   o rule_keyword and rule_value descriptions
    #   o rule examples

    # RULE SYNTAX:

    # nish
    # "[ ]" indicates an optional expression or field
    # "..." indicates the preceding expression may be repeated
    # "&&" used to "logically AND" rule_keyword and rule_value pairs together
    # "!" indicates negation of the following rule_keyword
    # rule_keyword a predefined keyword that describes a general system
    # attribute. It is used with the rule_value to match a
    # system with the same attribute to a profile.
    # rule_value a value that provides the specific system attribute
    # for the corresponding rule_keyword. A rule_value can
    # be text or a range of values (NN-MM).
    # To match a range of values, a system's value must be
    # greater than or equal to NN and less than or equal to MM.
    # begin a file name of an optional Bourne shell script
    # that will be executed before the installation begins.
    # If no begin script exists, you must enter a minus sign (-)
    # in this field.
    # profile a file name of a text file used as a template by the
    # custom JumpStart installation software that defines how
    # to install Solaris on a system.
    # finish a file name of an optional Bourne shell script
    # that will be executed after the installation completes.
    # If no finish script exists, you must enter a minus sign (-)
    # in this field.
    # Notes:
    # 1. You can add comments after the pound sign (#) anywhere on a line.
    # 2. Rules are matched in descending order: first rule through the last rule.
    # 3. Rules can be continued to a new line by using the backslash (\) before
    # the carriage return.
    # 4. Don't use the "*" character or other shell wildcards, because the rules
    # file is interpreted by a Bourne shell script.

    Hi,
It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .

  • Netra 210 interface problem

    I`m new to Sun.
We have Sun Sollaris 10 on netra 210 with two interfaces, one is connected to Avaya PBX (link is fixed to 10Mbps HalfDuplex, because this hardware on Avaya PBX is old card and it does not support any other speed) and second interface is connected to LAN.
Till couple of days ago everything was working fine and without any errors in log files. Couple of days ago someone accidentally turned power off for all our equipment except for PBX.
When system had rebooted, interface bge0 on Sun is getting down and back up every few hour.
this is what we have in /var/adm/messages
    Nov 24 00:20:04 0842TFI050 bge: [ID 801593 kern.notice] NOTICE: bge0: link down

can you help, I do not know what is wrong. I change cables, and also equipment on Avaya PBX, and every time is the same result

System was set to autonegotiation. When I set system to 10 Mbps halfduplex with:
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_10hdx_cap 1
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_10fdx_cap 0
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_100hdx_cap 0
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_100fdx_cap 0
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_1000hdx_cap 0
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_1000fdx_cap 0
    ndd -set /dev/bge0 adv_autoneg_cao 0
link went down and did not come up until I set it back to autonegotiation.
I also set bge.cong file if system would reboot with:
    name="bge" parent="/pci@1f,700000" unit-address="2"
    adv_autoneg_cap=0 adv_1000fdx_cap=0 adv_1000hdx_cap=0
    adv_100fdx_cap=0 adv_100hdx_cap=0 adv_10fdx_cap=0 adv_10hdx_cap=1;
And after I rebooted the system, link was stil down

  • Interconnect with a crossover cable (NIC bge1) does not work in Solaris 10

I connected two systems with a crossover cable for Oracle 10gR2 RAC like below commands.
    systemA> ifconfig bge1 plumb
    SystemA>ifconfig bge1 192.168.2.101 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
    systemB> ifconfig bge1 plumb
    SystemB>ifconfig bge1 192.168.2.102 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
The I connected with a crossover cable between systems.
Once, I was able to ping between systems. After I reinstalled OS, I cannot ping between systems.
Here is the output of 'ifconfig -a' from one system.
    # ifconfig -a
    lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232
    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000

    inet 192.168.2.101 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255
    ether 0:14:4f:5c:b7:eb

Here are outputs from both systems. I read the article about NIC type bge has some problem for interconnect with a crossover cable. It was working last week. I guess I need to make 'RUNNING' for both bge1.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Sun Netra X4250 ILOM update = unable to change iLOM ip to the factory def

This is about Sun Netra X4250 Server ILOM firmware update, using the update provided here:
    http://www.sun.com/servers/netra/x4250/downloads.jsp
ILOM updated to Version 3.0.3.30 (ILOM) build 44534
We were able to upgrade the iLOM firmware from 2.0.2.6 to 3.0.3.30. After the upgrade, we were unable to change the iLOM ip to the factory default ip for hardware configuration. The problem was that after changing the iLOM ip with factory default ip (192.168.0.10) and saving the changes, the ip was reverted to earlier assigned ip i.e. 192.168.0.145. To check this, we downgraded the iLOM firmware back to 2.0.2.6 and rechecked the procedure. The iLOM ip was successfully changed to the factory default ip.
So, we suspect that the problem could be due to the new firmware.

  • Will Cisco sa520w interface with ProCurve 2626/2650? is the sa520w overkill?

    Hey,
The company I work for recently bought another company. At the new company there is an old expired Firebox X 550e. I am planning to replace an old expired Firebox X 550e with a Cisco sa520w. Will the Cisco sa520w interface with ProCurve 2626 & ProCurve 2650 switches?
Would you recomand a different security appliance/router than the Cisco sa520w. The main business needs are hardware firewall, VPN access for MAC (snow leopard & lion) and Windows xp/7 pro.
The other router I have been looking at: RV220W.
If i got the sa520w i would ge the 3 year IPS + ProtectLink Web bundle.
    Recommendations are welcome.

  • Sun Netra 240 runs max level POST every power up

Hello, I have a Sun Netra 240 server box that on every power up runs the max level POST which takes a good 5 minutes to complete. I have the power key switch set to the normal position and not DIAG mode and I have the Diag-level set to "off" for the system configuration settings. Nothing gets reported as an error during the POST but it still continues to run full POST on every power cycle. Can anyone tell me what else to check or look at to make it stop? Thanks in advance.

I have no way to get a copy of this from the screen so I had to write it all down and hand jam it in. I only put my values, not the default values. These have not been changed though so I don't think it is any of these settings. Just for some background this server has been fine for the past year or so and then one day it just started doing this out of the blue.

  • Sun netra t 200  please help

Hello and Hi to all members,
I am trying to install solaris 9 OS to my sun netra t 200, but the problem is i dont have any sun keyboard. I am currently using serial connection installing the OS. I have problem finding the command especially F2_standard.
please help me regarding the problem??I tried to search from the net but i still can find it?? please help me??
    thanks
    syafiq

During a serial installation, it asked for your terminal type. How did you respond?
During the serial installation it displays a message that function keys like [F2] can be replaced with the key sequence <ESC>-<2>. That should work fine with a 'vt100' connection.

    rbrociek,
It looks like the system board or power distribution board is faulty.
You should open a SR in My Oracle Support.

  • Very low transfer speed issue on SUN4270 M2 server connected with nexus 5548 switch on 10GB fiber.

                       Hi,
I have 2 SUN 4270 M2 servers connected with Nexus 5548 switch over 10Gb fiber card. I am getting performance of just 60 MB per second while transfer of 5Gb file across 2 servers. The similar speed i use to get on 1Gb network also. Please suggest how to improve the tranfer speed. On servers, ports ET4 and ETH5 are bonded in bond0 with mode=1. The server envrionment will be used for OVS 2.2.2.
Below are the details of network configuration on server. I quick help will be highly appriciated--

    Hi,
Thanks for reply..but the RX errors count is keep on increasing and the transfer speed between 2 servers are max 60MB/ps on 10GB FC card. Even on storage also, i am getting the same speed when i try to transfer data from server to storage on 10GB FC card. Servers and storage are connected through Nexus 5548 switch.

  • Problems with Comodo Kill Switch, Windows Services & Bitlocker Encryption on Asus N56VZ

    Hi All,
So recently I found myself stuck in a different scenario than before, and after many hours researching and efforts to fix this I still find myself stuck  yet with a few options still to fix.
    What is the problem?
So as a security cautious user when i first got to Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit I encrypted both the C and D drive (Split the main disk) to protect myself and my family. Unfortunately that has not been very helpful with the way in which booting and running from
either external USB devices or CD/DVD works, not allowing myself to at all.
My usual security suit I  use is Comodo Internet Security, which additionally comes with Comodo Kill Switch. Whilst using the application instead of stopping one of the TCP connections I was meant to I accidently stopped an Windows Explorer connection.
For some reason since then Windows Explorer, nor most windows apps or services themselves will run. For example msconfig will run but sfc /scannow or mmc will not, whether in safe mode or normal mode.
    What Caused the Problem?
    Cannot 100% say
What I Think Caused the Problem?
Myself running Comodo Kill Switch stopping a vital server connection with Windows Explorer that messed up alot. Or a potential Virus unknown how cannot fully scan system as wont boot externally or run many apps.
    Additional Info
Asus Webcam is Disabled on Purpose
Laptop was fully customized to run latest games full graphics minus Anti Aliasing, works with Evolve + CoD Advanced Warfare
Laptop does not boot if USB Keyboard plugged in, works with everything else normal (had this on other systems no problem for me)
Ask me for more info if required to add here, braindead again
    Specifications of my system
    Intel® Core™ i7 3610QM Processor
    Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit

    NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
1TB 5400RPM OR 750GB 5400/7200RPM (Cannot remember off top of head, braindead)
    Super-Multi DVD
    Kensington lock (Security Feature)
    LoJack (Security Feature)
BIOS Booting User Password Protection (Security Feature)
HDD User Password Protection and Security (Security Feature)
Pre-OS Authentication by programmable key code (Security Feature)
What Can Run and Won't Run?
    ON BOOT:
Bitlocker Encryption Password & Advanced Settings are accessible
    Bios (password protected) is accessible
Windows Recovery Mode is accessible (Think it is F9 or F10)
Windows Logon Password Screen is accessible
    ON NORMAL/SAFE-MODE START UP:
After Log-In Windows Explorer will not run
Task Manager will run, also allows me to browse the files when trying to start new task
    Can run Command prompt
Cannot run any control panel items
    Cannot run services.msc
    Cannot run mmc
    Cannot run sfc
Every time it metions windows drive is locked
Start Error's when running certain applications (Will post codes soon)
    Rufus USB Tool does run
Cannot boot Kali Linux off USB
Cannot boot Windows 8.1 off USB
Cannot boot Windows 8.1 off DVDRW
    Fixwin2 will not run
Apps either work or don't whether in safe mode or normal
    Cannot use Windows Installer
What Fixes I Have Tried So Far
Ok so like any normal user I don't want to lose my files. So here are what I have tried so far:
Repair MBR (Repair Completed, No Luck)
SFC /SCANNOW (Returns Error 'Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service')
Tried sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows (Could not access drive)
Fixwin2 (Will not run in either normal or safe mode)
Booting using Windows 8.1 via USB (Cannot boot from extermal devices due to Bitlocker Encryption)
Booting using Kali Linux Via DVD & USB (Cannot boot from external devices due to Bitlocker Encrytption)
How do I know it is because of Bitlocker, because last time I disabled it, I could run from external devices
Tried to run bitlocker to change settings (Will not run)
Have used both password and recovery keys to unlock driver, they work but when applications are running on windows the drive is still locked?
Tried windows Automatic Diagnostic and Repair (Could not repair anything, did make a log I am still to extract from the syste)
There are No System Restore Points
I'm sure there is much more information I could post however I will leave it on an ask to know basis, apart from the log files and further information to gather. Below is my list of trial and error fixes to try for today (need more ideas and help please!):
Hiren's 15.2 Boot CD via DVD (NOT ABLE TO BOOT)
Hiren's 15.2 Boot CD via USB (NOT ABLE TO BOOT)
Research into the Bios and Possible Update in-case of implementation of Virus, can access flash utility (STILL NOT TESTED)
Try and get a portable version or a working version of windows installer to try and re-install Comodo Internet Security (STILL NOT TESTED)
    Another way to disable Bitlocker
Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus Scan If Possible to Run One
Bitlocker Repair Tool, will try this also
I have posted this as have not found much info online, usually find it and crack on but this time things are a little more tricky, my priority task I really need to do is remove the Bitlocker Encryption, but if the application will not run... what do I do
    then?
Thanks for your time reading all, Sorry for any poor formatting or spelling.
    Update 1: MMC.exe Error Code
Ok so now have the computer in safe mode, still same as before, no explorer.exe, no services etc... Just went into the Task Manager > Services (Tab) > Open Services (Option at bottom)
This is the error I get:
'The Instruction at 0x785a746c referenced memory at 0x000000a8. The memory could not be read.
Any Ideas on what this error is and why?
Update 2: CHKDSK Works with no Fix
Update 3: Hiren's 15.2 Boot CD - USB Boot still no luck booting around Bitlocker Encryption
Just to explain again, I already have unlocked the drive with correct bitlocker password or recovery key yet the drive remains locked not allowing windows refresh of files of complete install from the windows recovery menu as keeps saying drive is locked

Ok so attempt number two to write this update via bloody phone! (Just refreshed page whilst writing!)
    Update 4:
Problem - cannot run from bootable devices (DVD/USB)
Cause - bitlocker fully encrypted drive stops this working
Repair - Boot up holding F9 to enter windows recovery Input Bitlocker recovery keys to unlock drives
Navigate to Command Prompt in advanced settings Execute following code:
    Repair-bde c: d: -rp 000111-222333-444555-etc...
    (Code found from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee523219%28v=ws.10%29.aspx)
Note for those using this: It is common while unlocking certain drives to get errors such as: Quote from http://www.benjaminathawes.com/2013/03/17/resolving-partial-encryption-problems-with-bitlocker/
"LOG INFO: 0x0000002aValid metadata at offset 8832512000 found at scan level
1.LOG INFO: 0x0000002b Successfully created repair context.
LOG ERROR: 0xc0000037 Failed to read sector at offset 9211592704.
(0×00000017) LOG ERROR: 0xc0000037 Failed to read sector at offset 9211593216.
(0×00000017) …followed by around 20 similar entries that differed only by the offset value"
Repair Status for Update 4: COMPLETED - However over wrote D drive data so now need to recover that
Problem 2 - windows services corrupted along with windows files
    Cause - Unknown
Repair - wait until system is fully decrypted Once fully decrypted ensure boot from USB/DVD
Re-do fixes that would not work before if this has fixed boot issue Confirm fix / update post Hope anything I put here helps others also
