Sun netra t 200  please help

Hello and Hi to all members,
I am trying to install solaris 9 OS to my sun netra t 200, but the problem is i dont have any sun keyboard. I am currently using serial connection installing the OS. I have problem finding the command especially F2_standard.
please help me regarding the problem??I tried to search from the net but i still can find it?? please help me??
thanks
syafiq

During a serial installation, it asked for your terminal type. How did you respond?
During the serial installation it displays a message that function keys like [F2] can be replaced with the key sequence <ESC>-<2>. That should work fine with a 'vt100' connection.

  • Installation failed when using Jumpstart Server to install SUN Netra T1 200

    I have a problem to install a couple of Sun Netra T1 200 Servers with a Jumpstart Server. The Jumpstart Server is set up and I have executed the add_install_client Script. If I boot the Server which should to be installed the server crashes after getting the assigned IP-Address with a software fault.
    Attached i will sent the Jumpstart-Client-Output and the config Files of the Jumpstart-Server.

    Hi,
    It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .

  • How to get JNDI context on Sun AS8.1? Please help!

    I am using NetBean4.1 with AS8.1.
    I want to write a client application to retrieve a ejb remotely on the AS8.1 server.
    Does anyone know how to get the JNDI initial context?
    If my Sun AS8.1 server is located at ip 218.100.100.100,
    what is the url needed to create a JNDI initial context?
    Also, the ejb my client app going to retreive contains the following class
    CustomerBean.class
    CustomerRemote.class
    CustomerRemoteHome.class
    CustomerRemoteBusiness.class
    when compiling the client app, do I only need CustomerRemoteHome.class?
    or do I need any other class file to compile(stub or whatever)?
    Thank you very much!!

    RTFM
    Using a Stand-Alone Client to Access an EJB Component
    To access an EJB component from a stand-alone client, perform the following steps:
    1. In your client code, instantiate the InitialContext:
    InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
    It is not necessary to explicitly instantiate a naming context that points to the CosNaming service.
    2. In the client code, look up the home object by specifying the JNDI name of the home object. For example:
    Object ref = ctx.lookup("jndi-name");
    BeanAHome = (BeanAHome)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ref,BeanAHome.class);
    For more information about naming and lookups, see Accessing the Naming Context on page 239.
    3. Deploy the EJB component to be accessed. For more information on deployment, see Tools for Deployment on page 88.
    4. Copy the following JAR files to the client machine and include them in the classpath on the client side:
    * appserv-rt.jar - available at install_dir/lib
    * j2ee.jar - available at install_dir/lib
    5. To access EJB components that are residing in a remote system, set the values for the Java Virtual Machine startup options:
    jvmarg value = "-Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost=${ORBhost}"
    jvmarg value = "-Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort=${ORBport}"
    Here ORBhost is the Application Server hostname and ORBport is the ORB port number (default is 3700).
    This information can be obtained from the domain.xml file on the remote system. For more information on domain.xml file, see the Sun Java System Application Server Administration Reference.
    6. Run the stand-alone client. As long as the client environment is set appropriately and the JVM is compatible, you merely need to run the main class.

  • Netra T1 (200) and Sun Storedge D1000

    Following scenario:
    I want to set up an Sun Cluster 3 enviroment. For that I have two Netra T1 (200) and two D1000.
    The Netra T1 has only one SCSI interface on borad, so I added an PCI SCSI/Ethernet combocard in both server. Now I am able to write data from each server to each disk array.
    But the following error occur:
    After all parts were connected, I execute an "probe-scsi-all" on one server to see the disks in the D1000, but I cannot see any disks of the D1000.
    On the second server I got the error message:
    Nov 5 10:58:13 wapgw2 scsi: WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/pci@5/SUNW,isptwo@4 (isp0):

    I work with Solaris 8, patchlevel 24. The Prom was already updated (111991-06).
    Can somebody help me?

    Hello,
    thanks for help.
    In order to change the scsi initiator on one of the two machines, I need the path of both interfaces.
    Since now I changed it not.
    As I know you do the following:
    - switch off one server
    - set auto-boot? to false
    - reset-all
    - probe-scsi-all
    after that you have the path of both scsi interfaces. With that info you perform a nvedit and set the id of one machine for example to 6.
    But I thought that regardless of the scsi id, I should be able to do a probe-scsi-all.
    Was this a mistake from me?

    Remember you can only build an iPad app using your Single Edition solution (which is included in your CC membership). So you'd need a Pro or Enterprise version of DPS to be able to create the Android version.
    You can create pop-ups in InDesign using the slideshow options and a multi-state object. But it's all manual labour so you'll spend a lot of time on this, also depending on the layout of your design.

  • Urgent: Please help: Trusted recon - Sun LDAP - timeout

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing trusted reconciliation with sun ldap using oim 11.1.1.5 bp4.
    LDAP system has around 3 lakh users. so i am planned to do trusted recon in 5 or 6 intervals to get around 50K records each time.
    i tested for 1000 users - no timeout is happening and all users are created perfectly using trusted recon
    when i run for 25K users, i am getting timeout excception below,
    1. It is searching and listing the users, (please chck time)
    recon.schedule.tasks.tcTskIPlanetUserReconciliation : countRecord() : Before search time: Tue Oct 09 13:24:41 KST 2012

    In iPlanet User Truseted Recon I gave,
    Abandoned connection timeout - 108000 (seconds)
    Connection pooling supported - false
    Connection wait timeout - 60 (seconds)
    LDAP Connection TimeOut - 3000 (seconds)
    Inactive connection timeout - 60 (seconds)
    Above parameters are good for more than 25K users?
    Please help me...
    Thanks..

    They look good...
    Try to use Connection pooling too if possible...
    Abandoned connection timeout - 108000 (seconds)
    Connection pooling supported - true
    Connection wait timeout - 60 (seconds) --> Increase it to say 90 (seconds)
    LDAP Connection TimeOut - 3000 (seconds) --->
    Inactive connection timeout - 60 (seconds) --> Increase it to 600 (As the default value in the LDAP Server IT Resource Type Definition)
    Alternatively You can rather break your chunks in 20000 records because you are able to fetch 22882 records successfully....

    If I type `uname -p` this message appear:
    [mlx@localhost ~]$ `uname -p`
    bash: Intel(R): command not foundIf I type: --userdir won't work as you can see:
    sunstudio --userdir /home/mlx/.sunstudio/12.0-Linux-Intel\(R\)\ Pentium\(R\)\ M\ processor\ 1.73GHz/I get an 426 line error (but this is the correct location, as man of sunstudio say), while if I type for example:
    sunstudio --userdir /home/mlx/error 426 disappears, but I get anyway the error on the module:
    Warning - could not install some modules:
         ATD Performance Analyzer Actions - The module named com.sun.forte.st.mpmt/1 was needed and not found.
         ATD Performance Analyzer Actions - The module named com.sun.tools.swdev.toolscommon was needed and not found.
         dbx Debugger UI - The module named com.sun.tools.swdev.toolscommon was needed and not found.
         ATD Sun Studio Core - The module named com.sun.tools.swdev.toolscommon was needed and not found.On the other hand I've searched the "id" exe and it is in /bin:
    [mlx@localhost ~]$ id
    uid=500(mlx) gid=500(mlx) gruppi=500(mlx)so I've created a sym link:
    cd /usr/bin
    ln -s /bin/id ./idbut when I start Sun Studio 12 I get again the error on the module.
    So I've tryed to reinstall everything (yes, also OS) but it (partially) solves only the problem installing with batch_installer. Infact now I can use batch_installer but at the end of installation it say:
    [root@localhost tmp]# ./batch_installer --accept-sla
    Installation failed: cleanup successful.Anyway SunStudio 12 still works, but the main problem about the module of performance analyzer is still here...
    how can I solve this? Please help!

  • Please help me to change the password policy in Sun Directory Server 6.0

    Hi,
    Please help me to change the password policy in Sun Directory Server 6.0

    What are you trying to accomplish? Have you at least read the manual?
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19693-01/819-0995/fhkrj/index.html
    As reported in earlier threads on this forum, DSEE 6.0 IS NOT a release you should use in your production environment, specially if you're starting new projects; consider moving at least to the latest 6.x release which is 6.3.1.1.1
    thanks,
    Marco

    Thank You in Advance

    We do have a sample app that demos this scenario.
    Please check out:
    http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/code/sampleapps/index.jsp
    Databases: Two Page Create, Retrieve, Update, and Delete (CRUD) Database Operations with Table Display
    Two Page CRUD with Table Display is an application that demonstrates how to perform create, read, update, and delete operations on a cached rowset data provider. The data provider is bound to a JavaServer Faces table component. Rather than having functionality confined to one page, this application has two additional pages, one for creating a trip and another for updating a trip.

    First things first. Next time please use the code formating tags when posting your code.
    Secondly, we cant help you do your entire project or more specifically we cant do it for you. We can probably help you with one section at a time.
    Thirdly, do not post your entire code. Create a Short, Self Contained, Compilable Example (SSCCE) that demonstrates the problem section, and that is independent of any third party libraries and can compiled instantly and tested.
    Now, lets see if we can answer one problem here.
    Ques 1. In the form I have one JComboBox of Country and other of State. Now I want it in such a way that whenI select a country from the Country JComboBox ,the corresponding states automatically appears in the State JComboBox.
    Ans 1: Use an ItemListener or an ActionListener (javax.swing.event) for this. Once an item is selected, the event will be fired and then you populate your ComboBox with the requried data.
    Ques 2. I need to add picture frame in the 6th tab so that the picture shows up when clicked browse and open.
    Ans 2: You haven't created the JButton for the browse action, nor have you created the JLabel to show the picture in. Create the JButton, then the JLabel, attach an ActionListener to the button to listen for the button click, open a JFileChooser, select the image file, create an ImageIcon and pass the File object returned to it. Then call the JLabel.setIcon( the ImageIcon) to display the picture. You'll have to store the picture File information some where so can reference it when saving.
    Ques 3.I need to add tables in 1st and 5th tab which shows up the details through database when added through several textboxes and combo boxes.
    You need to do some reading. The Swing Tutorial has everything you need, from How to use Tables to How to connect to databases. There are also some examples in your JDK installation folder, ie, jdk/demos/jfc/tableExample. Here is the link to the swing tutorial on how to use Tables: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html. You find other useful links there.
