SUN One UDs over Windows 2008

Hello i'm not a Sun ONE expert. Our development department trying to use SUN ONE UDS in Windows 2008. All works fine but before 30 min we get this errors:

Somebody knows something about windows 2008 compatibility? our Forte environment works fine in Windows 2003 servers. Thanks a lot

Finally we found the problem!!.
With Process Monitor (Thanks to the greath Mark Russinovich) we monitored ftexec process and when we get the errors the ftexec ends with code 0xC0000425 that mean STATUS_HIVE_UNLOADED
Windows 2008 have a new built-in feature named UPHClean used to clean-up user information in registry when user logoff, but for some reason windows clean the complete user hive in HKU. We disabled this feature and now works ok :-)

I am getting this error when I try to install Sun ONE UDS 5213 on Windows 7 " This Windows NT system does not have TCP/IP installed. Please install the TCP/IP package before installing Sun ONE UDS". Sun ONE UDS 5.2.5 or EAI or IS or Sun One Studio 8 - Download

Hi Experts,
I am looking for *"Sun ONE UDS 5.2.5 for Windows 2003/XP/2000"* software to be downloaded as one the zip file in our existing project got corrupted. (UDS = Unified Development Server)
This is also called IS = Integration Server, EAI = Enterprise Application Integration and Sun ONE Studio 8.

Sun ONE Studio 8 was a program development suite for C, C++, and Fortran. It is no longer available. The current versions are Sun Studio 11 and Sun Studio 12. (The "ONE" has been dropped from the product name.)
In any case, Sun Studio 8 was provided only on Solaris, never on Windows. Sun Studio 12 is also provided on Linux, but still not on Windows.

Here's a laugh: I purchased an Epson EPL-5700i monochrome laser printer a dozen years ago, for "only" $500. With all of the changes in Macs and the OS, I've never been not able to use the printer. Either Apple or the vendor has made printer driver software available seamlessly.

Sun One Server in Windows

I installed Sun one server in NT machine and tried creating a port. It is not providing the support for Servlets directory whereas iPlanet 4.1 provides it by means of giving a style "ServeltByExtn" while creating the additinal direcctories. How can it be done?

Are you sure you would like to use server grade software running over a toy OS?

You may use a third party tool called "VNC". This is a great tool to connect (any) ms windows system either it has server windows or client, but should have installed "VNC" on it.

Does anyone know if UDS 5.1 can run with DB2 version 8.1? I can't find any documentation on it.

Can't remove Failover Cluster feature on Windows 2008 R2

Hello
When remove the Failover Cluster feature has following message:
Cannot remove Failover Clusting
This server is an active node in a failover cluster. Uninstalling the Failover CVlustering feature on thos node may impact the availabilty of clustered service and applications. It is recommended that you first evict the server from cluster membership. This
can be done through the Failover Cluster Management snap-in by expanding the console tree under Nodes, selecting the node, clicking More Actions, and then clicking Evict.
I'm sure there no cluster formed, so how can I remove it?

Somehow cluster got installed on one node on windows 2008 R2 but it was not showing anything in cluster fail over manager wizard and cluster service is

I come to a scenario were one of our Windows 2008 R2 Server without Service Pack 1, was Flag under SCCM 2007 Reports Update Status for Service Pack 1 deployment to be "Not
Required" which definitely inaccurate.
What I want to know what are the conditions for the Software Update to send a status to SCCM Server that the Service Pack is “Not
Required” instead of the other way around?

Yes, I know this is an old post, I’m trying to clean them up. Did you figure this out, if so how?
I have seen this before and what I have done is manually applied the SP1 to the server. Only then did the error show up as why SP1 didn’t apply. After fixing the error, CM was apply to apply SP1 and other SU to the server.

We're running 32-bit IE 7.0 on a 64-bit installation of

from adobe.com, we receive the message that our platform is not

Flash Player itself supports any 32-bit browser running on a
64-bit OS. That's not the problem here... What you're seeing is OS
detection on the Flash Player Download center.
So I'm still waiting for someone from the web team to get

Arch Samba - Windows 2008 Domain

I have made the thread bellow thinking i solve my problem giving access on FTMG...but unfortunately nope...

My Situation:
3 Servers on Windows 2008 Domain (Example: 192.168.1.1 / 2 / 3)
1.1 - DC
1.2 - Exchange
1.3 - ISA FTMG (Gateway to all servers)
1 Arch Server for Backup (Samba Share PUBLIC) - 192.168.1.4
And my problem is annoying at least, i go to one of my windows 2008 servers and push on explorer \\192.168.1.4\Backup and sometimes fully work without any problem... and another times (let's say 5 minutes after i push again) and:
Network path could not be found
or
xx.xx.xx.xx is not setup to establish a connection on port "File and Print Sharing (SMB)"
BUT FROM THIS WINDOWS 2008 SERVER IT PINGS 192.168.1.4
AND
TRACERT GO DIRECTLY TO 192.168.1.4
And if i try and try eventually it will work again.....can't damn understand what's going on with this.....
On ISA I gave FULL ACCESS to my servers to go where the hell they want and even so......

Even that How-to might be confusing since it covers all kinds of configurations at the same time. What you need, as far as I can understand your description, is only what's written in that section.
Start with the strings in smb.conf for domain, password server (in your case probably the DC itself) and security set to domain. Restart samba and the you need to know an administrator account (user and password) and fill it in to the command example shown, e g "net rpc join -S DOMPDC -UAdministrator%password". If everything works you should get confirmation about it. You could also double-check the AD on the DC and see if the Samba server is added.
See if you get this to work.
OK, sorry for the delay in my answer but i was traveling and couldn't test the above in the production environment.
I have add the backup server to the domain successfully but that was not the problem.
Now i have full details and maybe you could give your opinion:
FTMG (Forefront Threat Management Gateway)
SWITCH LAYER 3
SERVER BACKUP----------------------SERVERDC---------------------------SERVEREXCHANGE
THE PROBLEM is that if the DC have a share or exchange, everything works ok \\dc or \\exchange, but if you try to connect to the share archserver the connection drop quite often \\archserver
WHY? Because after some trace in FTMG, the microsoft firewall consider that the archserver is doing spoofing, yes is on the same network as all servers, same domain as above help, trusted...etc.
SOLUTION? First i give permissions on the firewall to the archserver (ALLOW ALL /PROTOCOLS ETC), but even so the FTMG was intercepting all the requests to the archserver and still consider him spoofing...odd enough no??!! By the way the FTMG Server control all network, is the gateway to all servers and switching.
Are you thinking to change the gateway to archserver or just don't put any....yep same result, FTMG catch archserver still.
I gave up and come with my actual solution (VLAN or BACKUP NETWORK), all servers with a extra ethernet card dedicated to the backup network or vlan just to backup without the firewall going there to trace anything.
And that's it....
But my question to you all is, everytime that we have a linux server (share) together with FTMG in same network do you have the same result, it seems to me like FTMG have something like: IT'S LINUX / GET BLOCKED.

You most likely skipped the step of starting the installed server prior to trying to access admin URL. Please check this document:

Windows 2008 Server R2 & SAP Business One

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with SAP Business One and Terminal Service on Windows 2008 Server R2? We are finding a number of issues with this configuration and we are looking for any feedback that is out there.
Here is the situation - our customer is running SAP Business One v2007 SP01 PL09 Hotfix4 on a Windows 2008 Server R2 machine. All users (15 max) access SBO via Terminal Service to this machine, which also holds the databases (SQL Server 2005). The machine currently has 20GB of RAM.
What we are finding is:
1) When any process related to SBO (SBO core or add-ons) consumes some portion of memory, none of that memory is ever released back to the O/S until SBO is completely closed. So over the course of a day each user ends up simply consuming more and more memory as forms are opened for transactions. While we do see this in Windows 2003 Server to some extent, at least some memory is released when a given form is closed.
2) Once the system hits a point where around 75% of RAM is consumed the users start seeing application "hangs" and are forced to manually terminate SBO (via Task Manager) and restart. There doesn't seem to be any paging or use of virtual memory (if my terms are right) in use.
3) If the system is busy and a new window/form is opened the new window immediately (within one or two seconds) presents the "Not Responding" message on the new window. Depending on the circumstances the application is simply waiting for resources and will continue opening normally.
I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has experience with Windows 2008 Server R2; and especially using it for Terminal Services. My personal feeling is that it is a platform that should be avoided but we would certainly like to hear what other folks have to say.
