Sun Ray Connector for Windows OS 2.3

Hi,
I use Sun Ray Connector for Windows OS 2.3.
I want to show in windows logon screen ''domain logon'', now show in windows logon screen ''local server logon''.
What the uttsc parameters I must use?
I try the use in Sun Ray Connector for Windows in filed parameters:
for example:
domain_name_serwer -d my_domain but session sun ray all the time restart.
If I dont use -d my_domain in Sun Ray Connector for Windows:
for example:
domain_name_serwer it´s ok (but show in windows logon local serwer logon).
Thanks

The-d option requires the -u option.
In what way are you using uttsc and what version of Windows are you connecting to?

  • Sun Ray connector interface is invalid

I think I have some kind of configuration problem with my Sun Ray server. When I try to run the utadm -A "I.P. address" command, it comes up at the end with a message about the "Sun Ray connector interface is invalid" or something like that. The problem seems to be with this because the Sun Ray server will not update the firmware on the Sun Ray Clients. Even using the utfwadm -A -e "MAC address" to force an update it just sets it up in the dhtptab.conf file with the macro to download the firmware but when I power cycle the Sun Ray client it does not update the firmware. The only thing I can think of is that it must have something to do with the "Sun Ray connector interface is invalid" error that is preventing it from updating.
The DHCP server will also not update the "LeaseTime" nor the "LeaseNeg" options that I have configured.
Can someone tell me how to get rid of the "Sun Ray connector interface is invalid" error and/or if this might be what is preventing my firmware updates to my Sun Ray clients?
    Thanks,

  • Does the Sun Ray software support Windows 2008

    Hey guys,
I need to implement Sun Ray software to connect to windows server 2008 running as a terminal server, but as i understand the current release does not support windows 2008 connection. Am I right?

You may use a third party tool called "VNC". This is a great tool to connect (any) ms windows system either it has server windows or client, but should have installed "VNC" on it.
    Yom may download from
    http://www.realvnc.com/products/download.html
You should install on solaris and windows systems on theri respective versions.
    GOOD LUCK!

  • Sun Keyboard Drivers for Window XP

    Hi,
Windows decided today i can't use my ps/2 keyboard.
My dad pulled out an old sun USB keyboard he had lying around.
I was wondering if their were any drivers that would get the
    function buttons to work
On the bottom it says "Type 6 USB".
if you can direct me to a good keymapper that will detect
them that will be ok too.
    Thanks... =)

I doubt that a new keymap is all that is required to use the special keys of the Sun Keyboard with Window XP.
I did a quick search with google ("Sun keyboard" +Windows) and got a bunch of links that may help.
    http://ezhid.sourceforge.net/sunkbd.html
The following page contains the keycodes (for X-Windows) for these special keys.

Any idea to solve this error???

I'm assuming you looked here for your serial number, correct?
Select the Start button, and then select Settings.
Select the System tab, and then select About.
    Select the phone tab.
    Find your serial number.
You mention using ALL CAPS and all lowercase.  Does the serial have mixed CaSes?  Be sure to enter them exactly as shown.
If you're still having trouble PM me and I'll try to get the problem escalated.

  • Sun Ray Kiosk Mode Timeout Settings

For the Kiosk mode I see two different places for timeout settings. I have copied them in below. My issue is that I am seeing a lot of Login Greeter/Idle Sessions and I think the first "Timeout" setting should be set lower, but I don't want to disconnect good sessions.
One here in the admin gui under "Advanced" and "kiosk mode"
    Session:
Sun Ray Connector for Windows OS
    Timeout:
    24000 seconds
Under that is a place for "Arguments"
    where I see:

I recreated the kiosk user accounts (utconfig -k) and the problem has been resolved. Thanks to those who sent comments.

But which steps should I do that it's work?

OK, the last message here was February 2008; it is now July 2008.  I just noticed that Microsoft is supplying a 64 bit version of their Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 driver for Windows Vista (64 bit) at:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=4F68EB56-7825-43B2-AC89-2030ED98ED95&displa...
I just talked to a Palm salesman yesterday and he said all their phones still will not be synchronized with any Vista 64 Bit OS; their literature recommends 32 bit only.
I am contemplating upgrading my Treo 600 to a Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 6 Professional.  I am trying to figure out how to synchronize the software before I purchase anything.  I think now that Microsoft has solved the problem, not Palm and nobody in Palm or my cell phone provider (Rogers here in Canada) knows this yet.
Does anybody have any experience with this ongoing 64 bit Vista problem and the Treo 750.
Also if I get positive answers here, where do I go next to figure out how to bring over my Palm Treo 600  data.  Since the operating system is different, I think I am stuck with exporting my contact addresses to a csv file.  I do not know how I would recover my mail.  I have not been using Outlook, just PalmOneMail v1.02a.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Sun Ray Software Compatibility

    hi,
i want to know about the Sun Ray Compatibility with windows.
is Sun Ray server software is compatible with windows? OR
it needs only linux or Sol for installation? if it needs Linux Or Sol for installation then how can it provide Windows Env on the Desktop?
if someone has some Tech documents on how Sun Ray software works and configured, please inform me.
    Regards,
    Asghar

Sun Ray Server Software runs only on Solaris and Linux, so you need at least one Solaris or Linux system to control your Sun Ray terminals. After you have that you can run a Windows client program (such as rdesktop, Citrix or Sun's Sun Ray Windows Connector) on the Sun Ray server, connect that program to a Windows machine running Terminal Services and have a Windows desktop presented on the Sun Ray.
Sun Ray documentation for the current (3.1) release is at <http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/coll/1230.3>.

  • Issue with connecting to Win 7 VM from Sun Ray 3 Plus

    Hello everyone,
I was issued a Sun Ray to familiarize myself with and I am running into a dropped connection problem.
I am able to open Oracle Virutal Desktop Client and connect to my Win 7 VM from any machine including another Sun Ray but for some reason I can't maintain a connection if I use my current Sun Ray. I am able to log into the OVDI however when it proceeds to the Win 7 login screen I am only able to see the VM for a few seconds before being kicked back to the OVDI login screen.
I have pulled the power on the Sun Ray, checked my network connections and made sure my password is correct. Any idea on what could be causing this issue?
    Thank you in advance

    Jon,
I have been in the same circle for weeks (trying to get a MacBook Pro sharing files with WinXP Pro via a wireless network-the Mac files show up on the WIN machine, but I continuly get error messages on the Mac when trying to connect to the Win -well try this... I just remembered that I have a secondary virus protection program on the Win PC (Mcafee in my case). All of the documentation talks about Windows security - not about other "security blocking programs". There are no flashing lights or clear messages about what is happening. I bet if you check for 'blocked' attempts to connect to your PC you will find your MAC ipaddress listed. My shared network/files just showed up on my MAC desktop and it looks beautiful. Happy computing --pass it on...

  • Sun Ray 2 Screen Resolution with 16:9 Monitor

    Dear All,
I'm afraid I haven't done anything with the Sun Ray servers for a while and am a little rusty. We're running SRSS 4.2 with SRWC 2.2.
A user has purchased a 23-inch 16:9 monitor whose native resolution is 1280x720, however, this is not listed as an option when I run utresdef. What is the best way to go about making this available please?
    Many thanks.

Anyway, what you're seeing is the expected behaviour. The Sun Ray 3i has only one, fixed resolution. That's 1920x1080. If you hotdesk an existing, smaller desktop to a Sun Ray 3i then that desktop will occupy only a portion of the 3i's screen.
If you're using the latest Sun Ray software you can use the 'xrandr' command to resize the desktop. If you want to do this then you must make sure that the desktop is initially created with the largest dimensions that you will need during the lifetime of the desktop. In this case it sounds like that will be 1920x1080. Use 'utxconfig' to set the desktop to start with these dimensions. Then when the desktop is displayed on a smaller monitor you can 'xrandr' its size down to fit the monitor -- or you can leave the desktop at its full size and let the Sun Ray automatically pan to show the region where the mouse pointer is.
The "Resize and Rotate" X extension (which is what 'xrandr' uses) is relatively new and some applications don't understand it, so depending on what applications you're running you might see some strange behaviour when you use it.
