Sunday 17-Jan-2010: In week 2 or week 3? Does Apple use ISO week dates?

According to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISOweekdate "All week-numbering years start with a Monday and end with a Sunday."
http://personal.ecu.edu/mccartyr/isowdcal.html shows this too.
However, my MBP running 10.5.8. shows today, Sun 17 Jan 2010 as week 3.
This can be seen quickly by, following http://lifehacker.com/316029/display-the-date-on-the-menubar and dragging the Week of Year into the clock time shown on the menu bar, and viewing it on a Sunday.
Or does Apple not follow the ISO week date numbering standard?

Actually, I think it is still an open question. According to Apple developer documentation:
NSISO8601Calendar Identifier for the ISO8601. The ISO8601 calendar is not yet implemented.
It does look like some of the conversions are a bit off, even in Snow Leopard, unless there is something I'm missing, too. Changing the date format (week starts with Monday) in System Preferences shows the correct week there (2), but getting the date from AppleScript, for example, shows week 3.
I played around with my system preferences and could change the week start day, but I could never get an ISO 8601 date. Today (Sun, Jan 17th, 2010), I get either week 4 (Sunday) or week 3 (Monday).
Clearly there are lots of date and time APIs to choose from and many of them on MacOS X already support this format. They haven't made it to the official system preferences level. Considering all the other calendar formats that Apple supports, I think this is a bug and mostly reflects MacOS X's American heritage. Americans don't use this value at all and don't even know to add it to a locale option.

Disaggregate Periodic Data to Weekly Data (Modeling Time Dimension)

Hi,
We are using BPC MS Version 7.0. Our users plan at period level and I need to disaggregate periodic data to weekly data by looking up weeks from Time Dimension.
Suppose if 2009.Jan has 4 weeks I need the following result
Periodic Data
2009.Jan Acct1 1000$
Weekly Data
2009.Jan Wk1 Acct1 250$
2009.Jan Wk2 Acct1 250$
2009.Jan Wk3 Acct1 250$
2009.Jan Wk4 Acct1 250$
Can we model Time Dimension with two hiearchies to achieves this?
Which is best way to dissaggrate? (Stored Proc or SSIS Pacakge or Script Logic) ?

An easy way to achieve this feature is to have the time dimension be weekly and do the spread on the input schedules before sending.
There would be two EVDREs (one refresh only of monthly data and the other send only of weekly data). The data range of the monthly EVDRE would be input and where the user enters data. The data range of the weekly EVDRE would be formulas (pointing to the monthly data and doing the correct division based on number of weeks in a month). The user is inputting monthly data, but the schedule is sending the weekly values.
The allocation will work as well, but I would suggest to create a weekly input node under each month to capture the monthly value and then spread to the weekly members.

Calendar item does not appear in day view for Sunday August 1, 2010

I have a strange problem. I have an appointment on Sunday August 1, 2010. When in day view, and move from Saturday July 31 to Sunday Augsust 1 the appointment does not appear. However, if you look at list view or month view, it is there. If you continue to Monday and then go back to Sunday (all in day view) it appears. There is another person in my office with the exact same problem, so I know it is not just my phone. Anyone else have this issue? Any fix? I am concerned about appointments I will miss because of this. I added appoinments directly into the phone, no server, no exchange, no sync, same problem. It appears to be a bug in OS4.

I have to Open the period for Jan 2010. In MMPV what period & fiscal year i need to Enter ?
period = 10
Fiscal year = 2009 will be the correct Entry ?

But When u 10 give this System may give u error

MacBook Unibody (Early Jan 2010) Unable to Connect to Airport Extreme

The situation is that one MacBook purchased in Jan 2010 constantly unable to connect to the Airport Extreme.
The other MacBook could connect successfully without must fuss. Even the Win7 laptops also has no issue to be connected.
Do you think the MacBook has a connectivity issue?

It depends on your version of Windows (2000,2003,2008, 32bit, 64bit, itanium, etc).
Your best bet is to view the My Oracle Support note for the Jan 2010 CPU (ID 986632.1) to find the correct patch number.

From where to get "First day of the week" data for all the locales, is it present in CLDR spec 24?

I am trying to get "First day of the week" data from CLDR spec24 but cannot find where to look for it in the spec. I need this data to calculate numeric value of "LOCAL day of the week".
This data to implement "c" and "cc" day formats that equals numeric local day of the week.
e.g if "First day of the week" data for a locale is 2 (Monday) , it means numeric value for local day of the week will be 1 if it is Monday that day, 2 if it is Tuesday that day and likewise.

TimestampAdd(SQL_TSI_DAY, 1-DAYOFWEEK(Date'@{var_Date}'), Date'@{var_Date}') if it's retail week(starts from Monday) then the follow below:

Previous week Dates

Hi all
Please help in writing a query to get the previous week data.
If the input date is sysdate then it should return values for previous week Monday to Sunday.
Whatever the input it should get the value for previous week from Monday to Sunday.

IW is the formatter for the "Iso-Week"
ISO = international standard organization

Main thing is that it will always start with monday. The weeknumber might be different then for ww format. This doesn't matter in your case. But you migh want to do some experiments with to_char(sysdate,'IW'), to_char(sysdate,'WW').
Trunc(<datevale>,'IW') will cut the date back to the first day of this iso-week.
select to_char(sysdate-365,'IW') IW , to_char(sysdate-365,'WW') WW from dual;

Get current week dates

Hi I'm trying to put a query together that shows the dates, from monday to saturday for the current week. So for example if it's friday it has to show me monday / tuesday / wednesday / thursday and the current friday.
Does anyone know how to accomplisch this with the use of sysdate?
This is what I got now.

Getting previous weeks data based on parameters entered

I am using CRXI. I have a RT that gives me the current week data but I need to be able to report on previous week data based on the paraments so if I enter dates between sunday and saturday of one week it will report on those data plus the same days of the previous week. I looked at the lastfullweek function, but not sure how to implement it in my scenerio. any ideas?

That worked, thankyou. My next question along the same lines, is I am also having a third column that will indicate the percent change. for example
Current Previous % Change

I am trying to computer the % change between curent and previous basically it would look at previous as being the control and computer positive or negative based on what current is. I can do the math formulas, but I'm not sure what to comute to find the % change.

How to update the Weekly data using BAPI for MD61

Hi All,
i have used two BAPI's in my Z program to upload data from flat file to sap-system (BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_GETDETAIL and BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE) and i uploaded the Monthly Data from the flat file on sap system successfully.
but i have to also upload the Weekly Data on the sap system using BAPI.
is there any BAPI for the same or what can be the solution for the uploading weekly data on sap system ?

i developed a Z program to upload monthly data as well as weekly data into tcode MD61 by selecting the radio button weekly or monthly but i am not able to upload the weekly data as i didnt' get any BAPI OR any other logic to upload weekly data Or not able to use the existing BAPI BAPI_Requirement_create , because the upload file is in monthly format.
MD61 tcode can be used for both data (Monthly or weekly data).
can you suggesst me any BAPI to upload the weekly data or any other logic for the same

When attempting to render a report (.rdl) in a SharePoint 2010 document library that has a
Connection Type specified as a Shared data source (the connection succeeds when tested in the SharedDataSource.aspx page), the following error message is displayed in the report:
The data source that I'm using passes the test when tested in isolation but when used in the report it yields to the error message above. Below are some of the details of the .rsds file:
For this particular Web Application, Kerberos has been enabled. I couldn't spot any traces in ULS nor in the Security Windows logs.
Any feedback on how to fix this issue is appreciated.
