SunMC 3.5.1 and Netra Config Reader

I have a single netra T1 10x system that when added to sunmc diplays a "Netra t Config Reader Module Status system: Data acquisition error"
Has anyone seen this? I need someone to point me in a direction to resolve this issue.

The problem was with the client code.
The installation was corrupted somehow and after removing from client and deleting entry from the server, both could be re-created cleanly and worked.

SunMC 3.5 u1(config reader) and SF25K

Hi!
Config Reader (Fin Fire 15K/12K) shows that the SF25K has no Slot0 boards
but actually it has 18 ones. All other parts are shown correctly. SBs has IV++ processors, SMS of the server is 1.5
Where is the problem? whether it's because of SMS version or CPU type?
What should be done in this situation?

If you're still seeing this, could you pls. clarify which Config Reader you're seeing this in?
The Platform Config Reader should show all System Boards, but the domain Config Reader will only show boards configured or available to that domain.
What's the configuration of boards/domains?
Also, what does the Platform/Domain State Management (PDSM) module show?

Cannot Read From Registry - Need to save and load config

I have code the I have tested in other programs. I cannot read or write to the registry from a plugin. Any ideas?

Thank you for responding.
I had a problem on one material. So deleted the request and Reload it from PSA. That issue got solved.
And Now the problem is , Now my senior is saying Delete the data from April-09 till date and Reload it. The issue is My CUBE ( ZSD_C03 ) is updated with 4 data sources. 2LIS_11_V_ITM   , 2LIS_13_VDITM   , 2LIS_12_VCHDR , 2LIS_11_VAITM .
And I need to delete data from 2LIS_13_VDITM data source . How Can I proceed for the current issue   ?

Config Reader for v880

Hello,
I'm installing a SUNMC agent onto a v880 and do not have the option to install the ELP config reader during the install. I have used the same install package to install to some V440s and V240s and those worked just fine.
Any Ideas?

The v880 uses the HighEnd Workgroup Server config-reader.

Config Reader on E250?

Have installed the SunMC agent on two E250's and cannot get a common config reader to load on either - it does not even show as an option. This appears to leave me without the ability to monitor hardware on these platforms.
Will I get hardware alerts in this situation? Is there something I am simply missing or doing wrong? I do get MIB-II and Kernel Reader (both simple) and other aspects of SunMC appear fine.
Note, am using just the base management capabilities of SunMC.

it does not even show as an option.I think the E250 is covered by the Workgroup Server, and the Sun FIre V250 is covered by the Common Config Reader... but it's been awhile since I checked.
If you have the proper Config Reader specified when es-inst is run, then es-setup should have automatically loaded it for you when the Agent was first started.
Will I get hardware alerts in this situation? Is
there something I am simply missing or doing wrong? Without a Config Reader module loaded you aren't doing any hardware monitoring. Try re-running es-inst and choosing the Workgroup Server option (I think it's last on the list), then let it rerun es-setup.

What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config - when delpoy ?

What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config? When I create navigation between pages with ADF task flow then the navigation don't work when I deploy my application to Weblogic 10.3. When I use default server then navigation works fine. With Faces_config in both situations all works ok - on Stanalone server and default.
Where is the problem?

Shay, I don't use both faces-config and adf task flow! When I failed with task flow I tried faces-config.
I have active on my weblogic - adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.0.0). This is the right ADF? If yes then where is the problem?

Generic Config reader X86 for Sun Mc 4.0

What down mean this note for Generic Config reader X86 , and how can I enable it
Note - Only machines with service controllers enabled can display these six new modules. In the absence of a service controller or when the service controller does not support the IPMI tool, the x86 Config Reader will revert to the older output version in the Sun MC 3.6.1 release.

As per http://forums.halcyoninc.com/showthread.php?t=115, I started debugging yesterday and here are the details.
1. I have found menu containing only copy, no vmstat when on right click on module browser ==> Kernel reader ==> CPU statistics.
2. On investigating the logs, i found following in */tmp/probeserver.stderr* file
INFO: Connected to database
cancel timeout
clntEvDispatch: failed to find rtyp key, status (-2021)
eventmgr exiting ...
INFO: Dis-Connected from database
Rest of all log files in /var/opt/SUNWsymon/log seems perfect without any error.
3. I don't have probe settings in agent's /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/domain-config.x file. Do i have to add one to get this vmstat? Can I just add the port settings and restart agent? If I add in agent, do I have to add in server's /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/domain-config.x file also? Because even i want to collect data from agent running on server machine.
4. Regarding how to use it, I have followed all these steps exactly and at the end i found nothing in "Data Availability"
5. I have also checked the steps in http://forums.halcyoninc.com/showthread.php?t=2 and http://forums.halcyoninc.com/showthread.php?t=33. Nothing seems to be working.

I need urgently a dACL and a redirection ACL that work at least in a mockup lab.
Authentification and authorizations policies not needed.

The issue is about ACLs (I guess)
Also needed is a valid switch config file, with ACL (if necessary) a the DOT1x ethernet port.

We use 3 settings in Forms based auth:
1 Membership = This contains Users and groups information. (This table also has username and password)
2 ConnectionString = Connetion details to connect to database is stored here(servername, databasename, username, password, port )
3 Role = This table contains all the Roles (Admin, contibutor, etc of the data source)

moving a groupwise database to a new volume or server. In step 4 he says
if you are moving data between servers make sure to copy the POA, MTA,
WAA and GWIA config files. The only one I can find is the gwia.cfg. I
looked under SYS:\system for the others and can't find them anywhere.

Managed bean in both adfc-config.xml and faces-config.xml file

i can see that it's possible to declare managed bean in both adfc-config.xml and faces-config.xml file.
is there any difference? which one is recommended?

As you know ADF is a framework based on JSF.
In faces-config.xml you define general application manage beans. It offers you define manage beans for all application using JSF default scopes (application, session, request).
In adfc-config.xml you define general application manage beans using ADF Scopes. It means that you can use JSF default ones including "view, pageFlow and backing".
My recommendation is use only one point entry for your general manage beans. Use adfc-config.xml because allow you to use more scopes.

ServletConfig:
The container reads the servlet init-parameters specified in web.xml then adds them to ServletConfig. The container then passes ServletConfig to the servlet. Thereafter, the servlet can access the ServletConfig and get the servlet init-parameters. The idea is that you can avoid hard coding data that might change in your servlet code, e.g. an email address. If the email address changes, you can change it in web.xml instead of having to hunt through all your code and change the email address every place it appears and then recompiling the servlet.
Servlet init-parameters in web.xml are targeted for one servlet.
ServletContext:
The ServletContext is an app wide bulletin board where you can post data. Other parts of your app, e.g. other servlets, can then read the data on the bulletin board.
Also, similar to ServeltConfig, the container reads context-init parameters from web.xml and inserts them into ServletContext. However, in this case they are inserted into an app wide bulletin board, and therefore all servlets can read them.
An example: you might put database connection info in some context-init parameters. Then when the ServletContext is created, you can have "a listener" respond to the ServletContext creation event and get the database info, create a database connection, and attach it to the ServletContext. Then the database connection will be available to any servlet that needs it.

The exact function of each would be determined by the group of methods each one provides. You need to check the java docs to see what each method does.

Lightroom encountered and error when reading from it preview cache and needs to quit

A power outage caused my Lightroom 5.2 to shut down without closing. When I powered back up and opened lightroom it gives me an error "Lightroom encountered and error when reading from it preview cache and needs to quit" and then it says it will try to fix it the next time it opens. I have opened it 20 times and it is not fixing it. I removed the program completely and upgraded to 5.5 AND it is still giving me the same error. Is my catalog corrupt or something? I had it set to automatically load the most currently used catalog, so it is not allowing me to open or start a new catalog either. HELP!!!

I keep receiving this error every time I open LR, "Lightroom encountered and error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit" and the app won't open. It said LR would try and fix this error next time I opened it but the error remains. I tried uninstalled and installing the app and the error remains.
Any Ideas here? Is there another app that may be telling it where to look for the cache and it no longer there? I was using a ramdisk for a bit but ditched it. Not sure if that has something to do with it but it seems suspect.

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. The normal location is Pictures\Lightroom. Locate a folder with the extension .lrdata and delete that folder. Then you should be able to start Lightroom again, and Lightroom will begin building and new previews folder. Do not delete anything else.
