(SunMC agent: Mx000)Insufficient security privilege to load console info!!!

I create a user "smcuser" on SMC server, it is in group "platadmn" and "dom0adm",
In SMC console, it can monitor a M4000 agent, but it cannot monitor M5000 agent.
PS: i have created "smcuser" on XSCF of M4000/M5000 server.
When i click "Platform View", there is a error info "Insufficient security privilege to load console info!!!"

This is usually caused by incorrectly seeding the agents or when a user does not have the appropriate access to the system.
Was the agent seeded with the same seed value used on the Sun MC server?
Is the smcid userid in the /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/esuers file and part of the esadm group?
Can you create a esmaster user account in UNIX and try logging in using that userid. Note: this is the Sun MC superuser account.

Every Agent you install shares security with a single SunMC Server: although out-of-the-box it's visible (read-only) to other SunMC Servers. So it gives you read-only access... so you can see the existing modules but not load new ones.
    Look at the "Info" tab for that Agent in the Console. There's trap and event sections. Those sections show the hostname/IP that the Agent thinks is its primary Server. You likely logged into the wrong Server (if you have more than one) or the Agent is configured incorrectly.
    If the Agent is pointing to the wrong hostname/IP as its server you can re-run setup on that Agent, or edit the trap+event sections of the /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/domain-config.x file and reseed/restart.

  • Object failed to run due to insufficient security privileges

    Recently migrated from BO XI and Crystal XI to bo 4.1sp2 and Crystal 2013.The recurring crystal reports were migared to new environemnt and schulded to run 1st of the month.There are 300+ reports.The report detail says all these reports are schduled by Adminisatrtor because It was migrated by administartor account.
    First of the month all reports failed and error is 'object failed to run due to insufficient security privileges.
    And In the event viewer, there were warning from source BusinessObject_cms
    "The security for the object identified by 41173 could not be verified during schedule attempt."
    Can someone help me to find out the root cause of this issue.thanks.

    There are many possible root causes.
    First check that the migration was complete successfully using the Import Wizard or UMT.
    Otherwise, this may occur if the owner was not migrated properly or if the universe contains some row level security..

  • SMC4.0 keeps hanging at "unable to load console info"

    i installed, reinstalled, reinstalled and so on SunMC 4.0 on a X4140 and did everything that was described in the manual. But still SunMC doesn't work.
    i have 2 problems now:
    1. the webserver at 6789 doesnt work anymore
    2. when i use the Java-applet to login to SunMC4.0 i get the message "unable to load console info"

  • Insufficient security privilge to add a row - SunMC 3.5.1

    Hi All,
    I've a strange behaviour with my SunMC server.
    Yesterday, I've made a fresh install and push a common config on some agents (+/-40) without any problem of security.
    Today, I've tried to add a new process row to monitor but I received back an error like "Insufficient security privilege to add a row" on all my agents. I did nothing since yesterday. I've checked if my user was in the esadm group, it is.
    Do anyone have an idea ?

    I've found a workaround just now.
    I've relaunched on all my agents the command /opt/SUNWsymon/sbin/configure -r, to force the change of the seed password.
    Now it's working correctly but I'll keep an eye on it as I don't see where I've made a change.
    For your questions :
    -are you using the same user that you used yesterday to load the modules on all 40 Agents?
    YES
    -are all 40 Agents reporting the security error, or just one/some of them
    YES ALL
    -was the "fresh install" just a fresh install of your SunMC Server, or the Agents as well?
    Only the server but it was working for hours because i've reloaded the metrics on agents without any problems.
    -have you tried to add the row manually? Or have you only tried with a Task/Managed-Jobs?
    Both with the same results.
    I've add the patch 118389-09 which apparently didn't correct anything but at least removed some doubts.

  • Problems starting SunMC Agent 3.6 under Solaris 10

    Hi folks,
    I just did a test installation of the new SunMC 3.6 Server which worked fine. Afterwards, I did a fresh install of the 3.6 agent on a Sun Enterprise 420R running Solaris 10. I installed the agent in the global zone.
    At the end of the setup, when the system asks me if I want to start the agent, which I affirmed. But this didn't work, system says just laconically "Could not start agent". Unfortunately, I can't even find the logs, since there is no log subdirectory under /var/opt/SUNWsymon. Have they moved this under Solaris 10?
    Any ideas somebody how to dig into this?

    I am currently receiving an "Insufficient Security" error while trying to merge to contacts.  I am the owner of one of them.  I do not own the second contact but have inherited permissions to it through a share of the account
    that contacts belongs to.
    What specific permissions should I have in order to merge these 2 contacts?

    You'll need Write permission on the Contact and Merge
    (on the Business Management tab at the bottom under Miscellaneous Privileges). You probably have the latter since you are seeing the Merge button.  Your shared permission may only have Read access.

  • Does SunMC agent need SNMP packages

    I'm configuring JASS (Security Toolkit) to run on newly jumpstarted machines and wanted to run the finish script: disable-snmp, but wasn't sure if SunMC needed to have these packages installed in order to run. I currently am at 3.0 but will be upgrading to 3.5. I have not run JASS on our current SunMC agents yet, but they do have these installed? How can I find out what packages SunMC needs?

In fact most people disable the SNMP daemon that comes with current versions of Solaris ("snmpdx" process) and disable its start script (/etc/rc3.d/S76snmpdx) .. so that SunMC can take over the default SNMP port (161).
    Are you removing packages for security reasons? Is your environment critical enough you cannot simply disable unused services (like snmpdx)?

    1. try passing the non encoded token e.g. BOToken = enterpriseSession.getLogonTokenMgr().createLogonToken("", 120, 100);
    2. try using getDefaultToken() and see if that works.
    3. Have you tried usign openDocument.jsp instread?
    4. are you redirecting to this url? 'http://[server]:8080/BOE/CrystalReports/viewrpt.cwr?id='repId'&apstoken=[token]';
    Java uses double quote " rather than single quote ' for string declaration.

    Hi,
    We have a crystal report reporting off information integrator with sql server in the backend.
    This report uses a universe as a datasource.
    We are getting the following error while trying to run the report on demand:
    "Error A request was cancelled. The necessary security privileges could not be verified. This indicates a problem with the security server."
    If we schedule the report the following error msg can be found in the reportjobserver logs:
    " trace message: CrpeMgrPEGetHandleStringEx() out returns [1], buffer is [Database Connector Error: ''^MFailed
    to retrieve data from the database.^MError in File /usr/lpp/businessobjects/boe/bobje/data/reportjobserver01/~tmpad0d85852f0c7061d.rpt:
    The query when submitted through qwest returns back data, but is failing to run on the server.
    I am not sure what is going wrong, timeouts for page server has been set to 60 mins, but this error is returned within 10 mins of refreshing or scheduling the report.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    I ran a test.
    I used the sql from the report, created a new report off that sql and published it to the server.
    It seems to be working. The report ran successfully.
    Thus I have seen that the report fails only when it is using an universe.
    I restarted the report job server along with Webi report server/page server multiple times but that didn't help much.
    I will be opening a message with SAP regarding the problem.

    in pdeploy.debug , I got the following error message =>
    Message:The user does not have permission to perform the operation.
    netscape.ldap.LDAPException: error result (50); Insufficient 'write' privilege to the 'sunserviceschema'
    Actually, this command is work for me before, I don't know why it's not
    working right now.
    How can we setup the 'write' privilege ?

    I am sorry but I really don't have answer for the problem I mentioned in this thread.
    First of all, what I installed was 2005Q4 for windows.
    It's been working for me once a while, then I think I re-deployed
    a portlet without undeploy it or vice versa.. then i received
    that error. In the end I removed 2005Q4 from control panel and
    re-install that thing using another set of ID/PWD. I've been repeating this several times, sometimes it works, sometimes not.
    I even wipe out my hard drive once a time to re-install the OS then 2005Q4.
    it's painful. I talked with JES support staff, they said there are bugs
    on 2005Q4 but they have them addressed in version 7...
    After you remove it from control panel, make sure run regedit to see
    all JES related entries have been removed from HKEY-LOCAL-
    MACHINE/Software.
    I don't have this problem anymore since I got an Unix box, so far
    2005Q4 seems to be working fine on Unix.

  • "Code -5000--- "insufficient access privileges for operation"

    I use a M-Audio Ozonic, Digidesign Mbox, and a BCF2000 logic control.
    Whenever I try to initiate an audio recording, this message pops up
    "Insufficient access privileges for operation
    Result code = -5000"
    Has anyone encountered this. This is a new issue. has never happened before.
    17" iMac G5 1.6 Ghz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2 GB RAM w/ Logic express 7, Garageband, ProTools 6.4 LE w/ software bundle & Mbox. Ozonic, BCF2000

    Did you upgrade os x or create a new user?
    Select the folder icon here you save your audio projects and type Command I to open the information panel, then verify if you are the owner of the disk and if you have read/write permissions.
