Sunpci3 card and XP video problems

I recently installed three pci3 boards into three sparc 150 machines. After install of the software and install of XP professional I encountered a problem. When XP loads, the desktop background (grassy hills) appears, but you can't see anything else. Everything is there because if you know where to click you can do so and see the hourglass appear and the screen do something, BUT the only thing that will ever be visible in the pci3 window itself will be the background. Basically I can't see anything but the background. If I start XP in safe mode OR if I start it in VGA mode, I can see and do everything. In safe mode, it looks normal, it's just slow. In VGA mode, the screen actually looks funny (like VGA), but I can't control the mouse at that point. I even installed more RAM in the system to bring me to 1Gig thinking that would work, but no such luck.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am at a loss and don't want to have to purchase $2500 in KVM switches. Thanks in advance.

The stutters are dreadful and sound keeps going of and on.
This is a Smart phone, But so far my K700 which is over 2 years old is smarter.
I just dont understand why, Nokia if you are reading this then please fix in your next firmware, Real Player is either Rubbish or the phone some how cant transfer the data / details over fast enough.
On some occasions opening up a video can take the phone over a 1min which i then think the phone has crashed.
Its like my computer when running more than 1 programme at a time, They start to stutter.

It's a credit card, not a debit card ? As far as I know that message will show if you are trying to use a card that was not issued by a bank in the same country as where your iTunes account is based (and you need to be in that country). AJA Xena SD card and FMLE audio problems

I have a system running Windows XP and a AJA Xena SD card. The video streams/looks great but I can't get the audio to work. The audio is distorted and running super slow -- like you've slowed down the audio track. Any one had success using this card? Any solutions on how to fix the audio issue?

Do you mean audio quality suffers when using mp3 at 44100 Hz?

CPU usage and Choppy Video problems on iTunes 8.0.0.35

Hello peoples,
I am having major issues with iTunes 8, I have choppy video playback and CPU usage problems. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
While wtching a TV show (specifically House Season 1 not HD) I get choppy video and my iTunes CPU usage shows 55-90% with an Intel Centrino Duo 2.16GHz processor this is ridiculous
my computer is only 2 years old, and when running iTunes 7 I had none of these problems
any help on how to fix this is much appreciated

Use PCI-e video card and onboard video at same time

This is going to be really annoying if i cant use both at the same time. I am trying to get 3 monitors running and want to use the onboard display port or vga port alongside my PCI-E video card and it seems in the bios that only one can work at a time. I am assuming this means i have to use a PCI card with my PCI-e one to get more than the 2 i have at a time.
Has anyone gotten onboard working alongside a PCI or PCI-E card? Seems like a silly thing to not enable in the Board as businesses have a need for more than 2 sometimes.
Any assistance would be great.

IPad 2 SD Card and mp4 video

Hi,
I know before a the 4.2.1 upgrade people had been able to play .mp4 created on a computer on their iPad but that post the upgrade it didn't work. I have tried to search but can't see if anyone has found a way around the issue post the upgrade?
Is there anyway to create an .mp4 or similar that looks to the iPad like it came from a camera that it will play it? Surely it should be possible to manipulate and make work?
Would make life a lot easier for me when travelling if it can be done.

I have both mp4 and m4v videos that work fine on my iPad. However I ran them through Handbreak to convert them to parameters that are specific to the iOS. Then I imported them into iTunes. Once in iTunes I highlighted each one, right clicked and choose Get Info. Then in the Option pane I made sure to set the Media Kind as Movie. They all get synced with my other Movies and play in the Video app.

As an alternative you can also install VLC on your iPad and play videos. Associating files with VLC is different. Do not add the videos to iTunes, just store them on your computer. Attach your iPad to the computer and highlight it in iTunes. In the Apps pane scroll to the bottom to File Sharing and highlight VLC. Press the Add button and browse on your computer to the location of your stored videos and select the ones that you want. On a Mac you can add them in a batch by pressing & holding the Command key and then selecting the ones you want. Once they have been linked to VLC and copied to your iPad they appear in VLC when you open the app.
If you did not get VLC for the iOS during the short period it was in the iTunes App Store for free, here is a link to download it. After you have it downloaded, drag & drop its icon onto the iTunes icon to install it as an app in iTunes. Then sync it to your iPad.

N80 and Serious Video problems

I am so not impressed with the Nokia N80 Video Function.
I am having major problems in playing 95% of my videos from my old K750 which plays them with out problems.
Real player opens. Then stops for s few seconds starts again plays about 4 seconds, stops and starts again.
It doesnt matter much on the videos.
Its like the phone cant handle them or real player has a major problem.
The 4 second dealy or the major problems is when i use the memory card.
The phone still cant handle the video correctly when on the phone memory, The video stutters, Musics goes of and on.
This is such a let down in other wise a great phone.
I just cant beleive that my K700, K750 and K600 can play all the vids with out probs.

MSI HD 6870 Twin Frozr II and Streaming Video problem

Card doesn't like ESPN3.com (using IE8 browser). Video while watching Sports on ESPN3 will become distorted, change colors, background shadows, horizontal lines, turn Green (like Monochrome) or washed out.
Sometimes fixing itself and appearance is Normal. Eventually every 3 to 5 minutes, sometimes a bit longer, will get this Windows Message.
"Internet Explorer has stopped working" " A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.(close program).
" This Tab has been recovered " which IE8 will Refresh and work.
Does not matter what AMD/ATI Driver I am using 8.796 from MSI website or 8.801 from AMD. (Both are most recent).
Have used various resolutions provided from various forums (MSI, Guru3D, TechPowerUp, AnandTech). Uninstalling Drivers, Driver Sweeper, Ccleaner, deleting folders, going to Safe Mode, etc:.
Microsoft has had me Disabling Add-Ons, defaulting everything under IE Tools, Uninstalling IE8 and also their Fix-It program.
So far only time I do not have this problem is when I am using Windows Standard VGA driver.
This indicates that it must be a AMD/ATI Driver issue. So far only occurs on ESPN3.com (was ESPN360.com) when watchin a game -streaming video as aware of pertaining to my usage.
The HD 6870 operates fine for most part,
Other Issues: whenever I want to run 3DMark 2011 or Unigine Heaven 2.1 Benchmarks after restarting or Boot up of computer I have to reinstall Driver.
Reason: the programs says I do not have DirectX 11 compatible Hardware, therefore once I reinstall the Driver then the program identifies the card properly.
Other, sometimes running IE8 when I move the Mouse or Scoll the Screen will Flicker this happens with Driver 8.801 but not all the time.
As mentioned conflict between Driver and IE8. (can Microsoft and AMD ever work together or are they enemies, guess MS loves nVidia)

Using a different Browser.. well I have a few years back... don't know exactly why I keep returning to IE. Guess it has to do more with Visual Appearance and not having as many Gizmos
so IE is simple even with its Flaws. But thanks for suggesting it.
I used my old PC, Compaq Presario 5423US uses WinXP Pro 32bit, that I gave to my daughter when I built this one in May 2008 (I use Vista Ultimate 64bit).
I didn't realize it has the same problem when watching sports on ESPN3.com. (IE has stopped working-message only..... not all the whacky video scenarios).
I checked and my daughter did update hers to IE8. ( I always liked IE7 better but MS makes it hard as with all those Hot Fixes and SP2, SP3. etc.
So the whole problem is MS Internet Explorer 8 hates how ESPN3.com sets up their webpage .... just saying a Bug is created in the Data Packages set via Streaming Video.
If ya have a friend or capability to do so..try IE8 and watch a game on ESPN3.com until you get "Internet Explorerer has stopped working".
If it happens then there are issues with IE8 that needs to be resolved with that website (ESPN3.com).
anyways on my old PC there was no flickering and graphic distortions as mentioned with this PC.

Display and/or video problems

My daughter has a G3 b/w running OS 10.2. The problem is that her monitor (Sony Trinitron Multiscan 17fs II) won't display at 800x600 - only 480x640...the monitor is connected via a PC to Mac adapter.
Is this a monitor issue or a video card issue? She can't run her newer software games.

It is neither. It is an adapter issue, presuming that display is inherently capable of the resolutions you crave.
There is only one way to hook up the Red, Green, Blue, HSync, and VSync that works. If you get a picture on the display, that part is working.
The Mac reads several pins reserved for monitor ID from the adapter to decide what your monitor can do without damage. If you use an inappropriate adapter, your resolutions will be limited to avoid damaging your monitor.
When used with the Blue & White G3, a PC-to-Mac adapter may only give you the most basic VGA capabilities. Where did you get this adapter? what does the Vendor think its capabilities are? Are there any tiny switches on it?

Nikon P510 and PSE5 video problem

I recently purchased Nikon p510 and never once thought of checking here to see if the pictures and video would download properly into my PSE5. The pictures seem to download without any problems but the video has issues when you play the video with PSE5. It downloads fine but playback skips and is blurred. If you watch the video on the camera itself it looks fine but downloaded into PSE5 is not working correct.
I called Nikon and they told me that I have to use their software View NX2. What suggestions do you have other than using Nikon software?

It is a common issue for registration. It is really hard to find where is wrong. What I can suggest you is first double check the credit card information which is valid and correct. Check your LiveID with correct and enough data to meet any related
information during registration. Of course, make sure the country of the credit card is available in the list of Windows Azure. Also as the message says you can consult the financial institution for the payment method. You can try these channels for help:

An audio problem and a video problem

1. I'm a total novice about audio filters. Which filder would be best to take out wind noise? I used a rabbit fur baffle but still got a bit of wind noise. It cannot be reshot.
2. Sometimes when I try to put a transition between two clips it seems to slip under the timeline. How can I avoid this and get the transition to center on the edit.

1. SoundTrack Pro might be the best tool for this unless you have a more sophisticated audio program installed. Essentially, you'll need to sample just the wind noise then use the sample to filter the rest of the clip.
If the wind noise is just low end rumble, one of the EQ filters may do it without leaving FCP. You'll need to play around with the settings to find what works in your situation. The main problem with wind and air noise though is that it often covers must of the audible spectrum, so any filtering you do can/will also effect the part of the sound you wanted to keep.
2. Sounds like a "handle" issue. Make sure your clips have enough frames before the IN point and after the OUT point to support the duration of the transition you're using.

My Credit Card is from the US, but i live in Canada. When entering my Credit Card info for getting the Adobe Cloud, it automatically has a fix "Canada" as billing address. It wont let me change it, what should i do? The Credit Card adresse is fixed to the one in the US and cant be changed.

Weird Video problem and kernel panic!

Okay, so last ngiht I was running tech tool maintenence, and I had repair on. So, it finished scanning my startup volume (I was on my eDrive) and then I shut down and restarted. Now, it tried to start from my startup volume (tiger 4.7, with latest updates) and it says you need to restart your computer (which means there is a kernel panic, am I right?) I try safe mode to no avail, I even reset the PMU and reset the PRAM (but I didnt hear the starup noise again). So, I put in my backup HD, and it starts up, but wait! Now the video is horribly wrong! It is all in TERRIBLE quality and in mostly only greys, I mean it looks like a 4 mb vram video card, there are very few pixels of color( there are some intermitedly) and there is terrible ghosting, and I can barely read anything. so, I checked my display, and universal access settings, and fooled around with those, and nothing happened. So, now I try and start from my eDriveand it start, but now it has the same horrible color problem as my other drive. Oh boy, this is a new computer, and I already have a kernel pnic, and a video problem, what can I do? Thanks for any help. Matthew. What if you tried running mplayer with the following command :
mplayer -fs -zoom filename
As for the "too pixelish" problem well... you could try increasing the "nice" level (at least in VLC). For the other video players I don't know.

Problem Uploading and Sharing Video Files

I just uploaded a 3.3GB h.264 Quicktime movie to Creative Cloud. It took many hours. Now that it's finished uploading, I can't figure out how to play the video while logged into Creative Cloud, despite that fact that under information it's recognized as a mov and 3.3GB. And when I try to share using the link-in-email option, my friend can't play the movie or download it. When he tries to download it, nothing connects. Creative Cloud seems to be treating this movie as a single still image or something. Suggestions as to how to solve these upload and share video problems? I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with all possible upgrades, Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. Any help here much appreciated. One of the reasons I signed on for a year with Creative Cloud was to utilize this 20GB to share video in the way I've done through Dropbox.

I've uploaded this h.264 Quicktime (which plays fine before uploading) a few times now and cannot download or share due to a very long period of "Connecting...", then the message "Problem loading page. Try again in a few moments. - If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. - If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web." Then I'm given the option to "try again". This or a similar message is what others get when trying to download when I try to share the file with them using the link-in-email method, and neither I nor any of those I try to share this with are having problems with internet connectiions or downloading other large video files from the internet. The reason I suspect that Creative Cloud can't deal with downloading larger files such as this 3.3GB Quicktime is that I have no problem uploading, downloading or sharing small Quicktime movies through CC, and they are identified the same way and look the same when uploaded to CC. I also have no problem downloading much larger video files from other sites on the internet, such as feature length films that are a lot larger than 3.3GB. It seems like only things that download quickly don't time-out, regardless of what browser I'm using. Does Creative Cloud's download system rely on files being able to be downloaded quickly in full before a browser's time-out? As I've mentioned before, I have no problem uploading, downloading, sharing, etc. using Dropbox. Long explanation here, I know, but I thought all this info might help in figuring things out. Any ideas as to what's going on?
