I have 6 Sun Ray 150 terminals and a Sunray server. I want to have one master terminal and 5 slaves where the screen images from the master is cloned to alle the slaves so if at move the mouse on the master it also moves on the slaves ect.
Is it possible and HOW???
Standard multihead setup doesn't work as it just extend the desktop over several terminals.

  • BO fails to display cloned reports with DATE_TIME data in View mode

    Problem: We create a table using Rebean API. The table contains cells displaying DATE_TIME data (Detail). The cellu2019s formula is correct and the Applet shows the data alright. But when in view mode, there stand u201CINPUT_DATE_TIMEu201D text. If we open the report in the Applet and just click the cellu2019s formula without changing anything, the report starts to draw itself properly in view mode too.
    We have to manually touch cloned reports with DATE_TIME values.  Didn't find anything same in the search..
    Can anyone help with this problem?
    Great thanks,
    Oleg

    Hi Oleg,
    It may help if you post the code that you are using to create the block (table) with the DATE_TIME data.
    Please include the code from when you open/create the WebI document up to the point when you save the WebI document.

  • T530 multiple display configuration lead to errors when closing the laptop

    Hello,
    I have a Lenovo T530 2429CTT and I am having some trouble when trying to set up my multiple display configuration with a Lenovo ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3.
    I have an external Samsung LCD monitor which is connected to the Mini Dock via DisplayPort.
    I am running Win 7 Prof.
    The problem I see is with an application which uses DirectX. The display looks fine in the following configuration:
    - Laptop open
    - External Samsung LCD Monitor on
    - Display cloned so that both devices show my desktop
    The issues appear when I close the laptop. I do this because in my office I only work with the external monitor so I don't need the internal display of the laptop at that moment.
    When I close the laptop the following happens:
    The external display gets dark for some seconds. It comes up again, gets dark and after a while (maybe 10 sec) it stays active. Sometimes I see a notification that the color scheme has changed to Win 7 basic.
    Everything seems to be fine now but when looking at the DirectX based display of my application I have some problems for example with the refresh (the display looks very weird).
    BTW: The laptop has an internal and an external graphic card (Internal: Intel HD 4000, External: NVIDIA NVS 5400M).
    So it seems as when the laptop gets closed, the internal graphics will be turned off. Due to this the display on the external monitor also changes the settings of the graphhic card (maybe it gets turned in an energy saver state).
    I was looking at many of the NVIDIA settings without any success so hopefully somebody in this forum has an idea what is happening there.
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Hi,
    I'm trying to buy the exact same configuration.
    although i cannot find this 2429CTT on lenovo site anywhere, is available for selling on a known european supplier.
    and my propose is to have 2 Monitors connected, so I'll follow this inquire very closely and hold my order until then.
    do you have any update on it?
    just by curiosity, what about the rest? how does the PC feels to you? everything else is working?
    thanks

  • Cloning display while keeping native resolutions.

    Hi!
    I want to clone my screen but I want the picture to be displayed in de the native resolutions of both my displays.
    Situation:
    I have a 17" MacBook Pro (native resolution =1680x1050) and I have a 19" LCD-panel (native resolution = 1280x1024). Now, if I connect the LCD-panel with my MB P my desktop is being cloned. The resoltion on both monitors changes to 1280x1024.
    So, no problem fot the 19" LCD-panel (Because the picture is being displayed in the native resolution of the screen.) but the picture on my MB P looks very "yuk".
    Is there a way to correctly display the the picture (my desktop) on both monitors?

    You can't "clone your display" at both native resolutions (for one thing, the aspect ratio is very different between your two displays). Running an LCD display at anything other than it's native resolution leads to a "fuzzy" appearance due to the way LCDs generate an image - there's no fix for that, it's a physical property of the technology.
    You have mirroring turned on. With the external display connected, go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab and UNcheck the Mirror Displays box.
    Now you will have a desktop that spans across both displays, and you can use both at once.
    (Note - when you first uncheck mirroring, the external display may have the generic Apple desktop background. If so, go to System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver and it will refresh and shop your chosen backdrop on the external monitor as well. Also note that your menu bar and dock will only show on your internal display.)

  • Cloning the display

    Firstly, I'm running bootcamp. I have no trouble running multiple displays. I have no trouble getting the MacBook screen and our video projector to display content. What I can't do is to get the Mac display and the projector to show the same image simultaneously. I believe that folks refer to this as cloning the display.
    I'd like to be able to do this when running in the Mac OS and when running XP under bootcamp. I've tried everything I can think of with no luck. Maybe it can't be done with bootcamp.
    Any help (including "Don't bother trying until the next OS X release") would be appreciated.
    macbook pro 17"   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Running bootcamp

    Welcome to the Forums!
    Same desktop on both displays is called Mirroring.
    In the Mac OS:
    1. Open System Preferences and click Displays.
    2. Set both displays to the same resolution and color depth.
    3. Click Arrangement and select Mirror Displays.
    In Windows under Bootcamp, have you tried function+F4, which rotates between each video out and mirroring? (That's from my PC laptop, not sure if it's supported in BootCamp).
    Hope this helps...

  • SunRay issue with Beehive Online web page display

    I've noticed that when accessing the [Beehive Online web pages| https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/index.html] from a SunRay often results in loss of some of the page formatting and/or a problem loading page error:
    "The connection was reset
    The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
    <Try Again>
    Clicking the 'Try Again' button usually never works - a shift/reload of the page and/or clearing the cache is usually what it takes to get the page to display again. The loss of background formatting happens more often, and again only is fixed by shift/reloading the page.
    In doing a test before posting this thread, after receiving the 'problem loading page error', I did a shift/reload to display the page. But then every link I clicked on from the https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/index.html navigation resulted in the same error, forcing me to do the shift/reload on every page! I could only get this behavior to quite by going into preferences and clearing my cache. Then I started seeing the loss of the background formatting!
    This problem appears to be only from a SunRay (using FF 6.0.2, but this also occurred using FF 3.6). I pulled up FF 3.6.18 as well as IE 9 on my Oracle laptop (Windows XP), and clicked through the various Beehive Online pages multiple times, and did not experience any format loss or page load problem.
    Is there a fix for these issues on SunRay?
    Thanks,
    Marjie

    Still seeing this issue on SunRay. I posted a couple of screenshots in my public documents folder on our team BOL workspace - hopefully you can view them for an examples of what I'm talking about:
    loss of formatting
    connection reset error

  • [SOLVED] Garbled text artifacts on display 0.1 zaphod multihead intel

    I have recently installed Arch on a Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch [11,1]
    Because this laptop has such a high pixel density on the laptop screen, I am using a zaphod multihead set up to
    give me seperate openbox instances on the laptop and the external monitor, this way I can set the dpi of each screen individually.
    Whichever screen I configure to be display 0.1, is displaying garbled text artifacts. Usually the text displays correctly at first, but becomes increasingly corrupted as more text is displayed.
    I think the artifacts may be confined to Gtk applications.
    When I run a single desktop, either just on the laptop, or across both screens, this does not seem to occur.
    Thinking this might be related to issues other people found with a the xf86-video-intel driver which I am using, I implemented the workaround others have used,

    Option "DebugFlushBatches" "on"
    Option "DebugFlushCaches" "on"

    this turned out to be a bug in the video driver which is discussed here:

    i've avoided the problem with this patch:

  • Cloning Display Object in AS3

    Hello all, I am trying to load a SWF in to an Application, then have that application create X amount of that original SWF.  Back in the days of AS2, you call the duplicate function, but no more in AS3.
    So, I have been able to do this by creating a new class then create a new object in a loop (works fine) there are 2 ways i've been able to do this:
    use getDefinition of the linkage Name
    convert DisplayObject to an object then assign the constructor as a class
    Both of these create a unique version of the SWF (GREAT!) however, when i use the second method, the mouse and keyboard events don't work, (even though the added and OEF both work on both) and for the life of me i can't figure out why.
    If i place a breakpoint at the end of the for loop i see that 'b' has 7 listeners.  Anyone have this issue / provide suggestions for solutions?
    Thanks!

    Interesting observation...
    I played with it for awhile and it looks like objects instantiated through constructor and sometimes event classes gotten through applicationDomain.getDefinition loose their InteractiveObject flavor.
    If this is intentional - it may make sense for security reasons (I am not sure about it though). Otherwise, let's what can be found on this topic...

  • Rotate Cloned Display on Lenovo Helix

    I have a second display and have selected the clone (or mirror) option so that both the helix and the display show the same thing. I would like to rotate the helix screen 180 degrees but have the monitor remain unrotated but can not figure out how to do this. Is there somethig I have overlooked? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
    Editted for clarity.
    This video sums up my problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24AlVtOZVw0.

    I tried to reinstall back to factory but nothing is working.  Can someone walk through the steps in case I might be missing something.  I searched the internet and it also sounds like a Windows update problem, but I have no idea.  Any help would be great.

  • Dualhead display with multiples resolutions

    I'm currently trying to setup dualhead displays on my SunRay clients.
    When I use two screens that have the same size, it works perfectly. But, recently, I've tried to setup a 22inch screen and a 19inch screen.
    The first monitor must be in 1680x1050, and the second one in 1280x1024.
    My SRSS is a 3.1, and I've read that SRSS 3.1 and earliers does not allow independent screen resolutions for multihead secondary screens.
    Does someone tried to do this ? is there any way to succeed?
    Thanks

    All of the X screens in a multihead Sun Ray session have the same dimensions. The timings being driven to the monitors can be different. If the monitor timing doesn't exactly match the dimensions of the (virtual) X screen then the result will be that the desktop will occupy only a portion of the monitor or will need to pan (as the mouse is moved) to allow you to traverse the entire desktop. There is no way, currently, to configure different screen sizes for different X screens in a multihead group.

  • Can not request reports after cloning process

    hello All,
    I am new in oracle please guide me.
    I have tried to make the process of cloning from dev machine to test machine, but after that the applications in dev machine was not able to request another report.
    With Status: No Manager and phase: Inactive
    we use:
    RDBMS : 10.2.0.2.0
    Oracle Application: 12.0.2(HRMS)
    os: AIX 5.3 (64 bit)
    I previously tried the ways of my search results on the forums and internet
    1. Truncate FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES...
    truncate table FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES;
    2. Update FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS as follows:
    update fnd_concurrent_requests
    set status_code='X', phase_code='C'
    where status_code='T'
    3. Update FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES.RUNNING_PROCESSES to zero
    update fnd_concurrent_queues
    set running_processes = 0;
    4. restart conccurent managers,and has not succeeded.
    and then I tried another way of information that I got
    1. Stop the Internal Concurrent Manager.
    2. Connect to the database via SQL*Plus as the APPS user.
    3. Execute the following to alter the FNDSM trigger on FND_NODES:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER fndsm
    AFTER INSERT OR UPDATE ON FND_NODES <---- ( "OR UPDATE" I do additional)
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
    if ( :new.NODE_NAME <> 'AUTHENTICATION' ) then
    if ( (:new.SUPPORT_CP='Y')
    or (:new.SUPPORT_FORMS='Y')
    or (:new.SUPPORT_WEB='Y') ) then
    fnd_cp_fndsm.register_fndsm_fcq(:new.NODE_NAME);
    end if;
    if (:new.SUPPORT_CP = 'Y') then
    fnd_cp_fndsm.register_fndim_fcq(:new.NODE_NAME);
    end if;
    end if;
    END;
    4. Cleanup the FND_NODES table by executing the following:
    SQL> exec FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN;
    5. Run AutoConfig on each node.
    6. Restart the Concurrent Managers. and still does not work.
    if something is missing or wrong from the way I do or there are other ways more appropriate for me to do?
    Thanks,
    Batara

    earlier thanks for your concern and support for you all ,
    I've run as shown in MOS Doc 134007.1 , but it still does not work, and the clone,
    actually the clone that we do is still in trial and we have not too much concentration to the test instance as the target system, but the problem is that dev instance as the source system should not in fact the configuration changes become problematic,as not requesting another report.

  • Display issues, system failures, lock ups- oh my!

    Hi all,
    For the last few months I've begun to experience significant issues with my Macbook Pro. I got it back in early 2006, so I believe it's one of the original models. Specs below:
    Model Name: MacBook Pro 15"
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro1,1
    Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
    Processor Speed: 1.83 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 2 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 667 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MBP11.0055.B08
    SMC Version (system): 1.2f10
    Graphics...
    ATI Radeon X1600:
    Chipset Model: ATY,RadeonX1600
    Type: Display
    Bus: PCIe
    PCIe Lane Width: x16
    VRAM (Total): 128 MB
    Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
    Device ID: 0x71c5
    Revision ID: 0x0000
    EFI Driver Version: 01.00.068
    Displays:
    BenQ E2200HD:
    Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
    Depth: 32-Bit Color
    Core Image: Hardware Accelerated
    Main Display: Yes
    Mirror: Off
    Online: Yes
    Quartz Extreme: Supported
    Rotation: Supported
    Current Software info:
    System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.7 (9J61)
    Kernel Version: Darwin 9.7.0
    Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
    Boot Mode: Normal
    So, to explain my issues... I have experienced the following:
    *Temporary lockups involving a "beach ball of death" spinning for maybe 5-10 seconds, then going back to normal.
    *Much longer lockups with the spinny ball that can only be solved by the computer's lid being shut, waiting for sleep, and then re-opening it.
    *Lockups you simply don't recover from- the screen getting "messy" with artefacts and scrambled images, bits of random colours, and no movement at all. These I have to restart the laptop physically to recover from.
    As time has gone on in the past few months, these are getting worse and worse. I thought it was overheating, but the temperatures seem okay and I have a laptop cooling pad for it. Then there's the completely random screen tearing and artefacts that seem to be happening; Safari, iTunes, Football Manager 2008, Firefox, Seashore... all these apps that I use on a consistent basis appear to discolour, tear, introduce horizontal lines across the screen, and just generally completely @#$% up the look of the desktop. What's going on there? :S It almost seems like it could be a graphics card issue, but that's why I'm asking here I suppose.
    The issues are getting more frequent, and it's a bit disappointing because, while I imagined that I would get a new laptop one day, I was under the impression macs had a good staying power and I could at least keep it working as a backup at home or give it to my brother. Now it appears that this one might have a terminal problem, be out of warranty, and thus most expensive to fix. Or is it?
    Anyone have an idea what I might be experiencing here?

    A failing hard drive can cause all sorts of problems by operating erratically. Your first priority should be to be sure you have a good backup of your data on an external drive, just in case the drive fails completely. Otherwise data recovery could be very expensive.
    You might try booting from your install disc to the Apple Hardware test. This will take the hard drive out of the equation, and you can see if the video problems persist, even when booted from a disc. Run the extended version of the Apple Hardware test and see if you get any error codes. If so, post back with them.
    While booted from the install disc, you can also navigate to Disk Utility from the menu bar, select your drive, and see if you can repair it. Since it is failing physically, repairing the software part will not actually fix it, but it might make it work better temporarily.
    Replacing your hard drive is worth doing if there are no other serious problems with your Mac. You can upgrade to a faster and bigger drive--up to 500 GB's if you like. However, you do want to be sure that you don't have any logic board problems first.
    One thing you could consider doing is getting an external drive, preferably FireWire, and installing the OS on it with your installation discs. Then you could boot from the external and see how the display behaves when booted from a new drive. That would give you a good idea of how your Mac would run if you replaced the drive.
    Normally I would suggest making a bootable clone of your internal drive using a cloning utility like Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner:
    http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
    http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html
    Either one can be downloaded and run for free. If you want to free up the more useful features of Super Duper, you can register a copy for about US $28. CCC is donation ware.
    You could still use one of these to make a clone of your internal drive as a back up, but keep in mind there may be some corruption from the failing hard drive which would just get cloned. But these utilities are great for backing up a good drive.
    Good luck!

  • Problem with T400 and External Display....

    I have a new T400 (less than 1 month old) with the shared memory Intel Graphics setup and I cannot get it to work with an external display of any kind.
    I've tried 2 LCD panels (one widescreen, and one 4:3), 2 analog monitors, and a video projector without any luck.  All of the displays I have tried work fine with my older Lenovo R61.
    I've updated to the newest display drivers and tried working with the various settings under Graphics properties in Vista - Single Display (notebook, monitor), Intel Dual Display, Extended Desktop, etc.  The best I got was a cloned image on the larger widescreen LCD panel that appeared for about 1 minute and then stopped.  I recreated this 4 or 5 times, but the image would not stay on the external display.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    go into bios, check your video output option and whether you selected Internal + VGA, i think... i will check for you on my X60s....

  • Problem using HDTV as cloned monitor

    Hey Mac Community... here's a tough one.
    I have a 2.66 quad core Xeon Mac Pro tower with an upgraded ATI Radeon HD 3870 Graphics Card (it has 2 DVI outputs). I bought an HDTV specifically so I could clone one of my 2 monitors and watch videos that are on my computer from my bed. It doesn't have a native DVI in port (beggars can't be choosers), but I have a DVI to HDMI cable and I can tell the tv which audio channel to use, so in theory that part should work.
    Here's where the problem starts: I bought a DVI splitter from eBay (nothing fancy... dvi female out to 2 dvi female) and plugged it in to the primary monitor slot on my graphics card. When I plugged in the monitor then the HDTV, or plugged them in both at the same time and detected displays, only my 2ndary monitor was recognized. Only when i reversed the order, and plugged in the HDTV THEN the primary display did it work... sort of. The display thinks it is a clone of the tv and not vice versa, so my display's resolution is all wonky. I tried playing around with it, and I just can't get it right. I don't mind if the tv was a bit off, but since I need my computer to function as a computer, I need both displays to work properly.
    My friends (who are much more tech/mac savvy than I am) told me that this happened because monitors have a special ID encoded in them, telling the computer "hey, I'm a monitor," which is why most monitors don't need drivers. My tv, they explained, doesn't have this special ID, and so when it gets plugged in to be a slave of my primary monitor, it doesn't understand what it's supposed to do. When I plug it in first however, the computer is smart enough to say "ahh... you're a tv being used as a monitor."
    My question is this: is there any way I can make my TV a slave of the display and not the other way around? Further, once I change channels/inputs on the TV, it forgets that it's a monitor on HDMI 2, and when I go back, I have to fiddle with the cables again. Is there any way to have it permanently remember that it is a cloned display on HDMI 2? My tech-savvy roommate suggested buying a cheap graphics card and dedicating its own line rather than using the splitter. This would help, but it would cost a lot of money. Is there a way to get the desired effect with what I have? I don't need it to be a third display. Cloning/mirroring/slaving is just fine.... As long as it works @_@
    Thanks!
    ~Bryan

    DVI splitters work properly only with displays of identical resolution. It is unlikely your TV and computer monitor have matching resolutions. As you have seen, the splitter has one port that sends display information to the computer. The computer uses that information to determine the resolution(s) supported by that display, and video of that resolution will be sent go both displays. The display on the second port my not work properly with that signal.
    If you don't need all three displays on at once, you could use a DVI switch. If you need all three at once, you will need a second graphics card. If you click the "?" near the bottom-rigth of the "Arrangement" tab of "Displays" system preference, it will tell you how to mirror just some of the displays.
