hey all,
i am following a tutorial on sap mobile acedemy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjMi-_Q0JLQ#t=168 and in that video he was activation cloud platform of sybase developer center, the  cloud that he shows and i can connect is different enviroment as fas as i can see, the pic one is the cloud of that tutorial and picture 2 is the cloud that i am seeing and in my enviroment there is no sybase unwired platform.
may you please tell me how to connect the cloud as he say in tutorial. thanks...
this is the tutorial shows
and here is what i m seeing.

There is a MBO runtime and MBO toolkit available with SMP 3, it is to support the existing mobile apps developed using MBO (Mobile Business Objects). You can find the SCC in the SMP 3 desktop (trial).
Note that the MBO based development is discouraged by SAP, the recommended way of development is using Odata as the interface. So if you are planning to learn from scratch I would suggest you to start with Odata development instead of MBO.

  • Is Netweaver Mobile still necessary with the latest SUP?

I am confused about how or if Netweaver Mobile fits into the architecture if you are using the latest version of SUP.  I saw this thread (future Netweaver Mobile and SyBase Unwired Plataform) a few months ago and got the impression that it is no longer needed.  I am assuming that if we bring SUP in-house, that we won't need to also standup Netweaver Mobile.  Is this true?

    Hi Timothy,
well, he is right in a way - but one thing: what is SUP DOE? There is no SUP DOE as such and there will not be as I was told here at TechEd by SAP representatives.
So: it is correct, NW Mobile will not be further developed.Bug fixing yes, but no further development as such. Perhaps it gets obsolete in the future, as SUP is getting better - okay. But it will always be there for the next years and if SAP wants to get rid of it, they need to give clients a way to migrate to another solution. So even there is no further dev it will not get switched off at some point in the future. And: with NWM7.3 we have a big development in NWM to allow a better integration with SUP out of the box.
So if you want to use CRM mobile, you need the following landscape to deploy it (for example):
1.) ECC Backend (your CRM Backend, off course you need this)
2.) Netweaver Mobile 7.3 (This is the DOE part, including ESDMA)
    3.) Sybase SUP
Well, you need to connect SUP and NWM7.1 together. To do this you need to install a DOE-Connector in Sybase. The NWM7.3 contains the counter part to DOE-C which is the ESDMA stuff. This is now included in NWM7.3. If you run still NWM7.1 you need to install that piece of connector as a separate add on.
So to summ this up: the SAP representative was either unclear to you at this point or he should read the documentation again. Sorry I have to say it this way, but you definetly need NWM if you are running CRM and the DOC part will not be included in the SUP. We have seen the SUP development agenda for the next releases to come, there was nothing like that mentioned. Even better, the DOE-C will be included in standard sUP, which means out of the box you have a better ability to connect SUP to NWM and so to use the DOE.
By the way the same as I said for CRM is true for the new EAM Mobile solution from SAP and Mobile Sales as well. So all of these 3 apps use NWM, DOE-C and SUP. This is off course a big issue for some clients, cause the maintenance cost of the landscape increases due to the fact, that they need a new SUP-Server and can not switch off the NWM box.
On the other hand as said: if you are running a smaller scenario and have no need for CCMS integration, complex monitoring, enterprise device handling from the data side,...... then you will be absolutely happy in using SUP only. It will take some more time to integrate SUP really into the SAP world and extend it by some really needed features and enhance the monitoring abilities for the business for example.
Hope this does not confuse you too much.

  • SUP 1.5.5: How to assign administrator authorizations to deploy packages??

I created a new admin user and domain. This user is the
    administrator of new domain.
I dont see where assign user permissions to deploy on new
domain. Tried to add new entries on LDAP for this user in
the following groups: SUP Developer, DCN Requestor, SUP User
    and SUP Domain Administrator.
    Any idea? Thanks!
    Regards, Dani.

    Hello Dani,
If I understand you correctly, You have created a new domain and trying to assign a Domain Administrator to that domain.
    Follow the below steps:
    1. Assign the user 'Domain Administrator' group in LDAP.
    2. Go to SCC, click on Security, go to tab Domain Administrators and add your user there.
    3. Then go to Domains --> Your Domain --> Security. Go to tab Domain Administrators and assign your user here.
Let me know if you need any more info.

    Guru.

  • EMail into solution manager Service Desk

Technically it seems to be possible, to send emails to the SAP CRM system. But up to now I was unable to identify any possibility to create a message in the service desk by an eMail.
Was I just looking in the wrong places, or is there no possibility to do so?

    Dear Mr. Mueller,
As far as I know from working as a Solution Manager Support consultant in SAP this functionality does not exist. Whether it is being developed by the Developement team in Germany or not I cannot say. I haven't heard any announcements from them about this.
Maybe Andreas Diebold might have an idea on what the SV-SMG-SUP developement team is working on at the moment.
Sorry can't give you a better answer.

  • Sending text / image to bluetooth device from PC to mobile

im developing a java application whereby it will send text file and also an image files from a PC to mobile using bluetooth technology.
can someone show me how i can send the file in parallel to more than one mobile per time without having to wait the receiver to accept or reject the message which was sent to them???
pls help :( thx in advance :)

    Hi Tapan,
well, if I would have to do that..... I would at least need Sybase to keep development low. at the end you do not really need Sybase for this... but without SUP development effort is really high.
    Okay, in short:
each device has its wn dedicated listener concept for push messages. This is platform dependend and you need to develop a native solution for this. It is possible, but it takes some time.
If you want to be native, with Sybase you get this more or less for free. Issue here: Sybase does only support push notifications out of the box in the most complex scenario: therefore you need SAP backend, Netweaver Mobile Middleware, SUP and connect NW Mobile and SUP by ESDMA file. This gives you push from backend to device for free on nearly all plattforms out of the box.
So at the end the first question qould be: how much do you want to develop?
Or is it wnough for you to have SUP workflow? Benefit on Workflow: development effort is low, works out of the box, is multi plattform - but like every sunshine there is some shadow - performance of this approach is not really nice. Anyway, it could solve your issue: you receive an eMail in your device, this opens the workflow app and you can accept or decline for example a travel request.
    Would that elp?

  • How to start learning for SAP for Mobile for Non SAP user

    Hi All,
I am sorry If I am asking a repeated question. I am a IT professional with couple of years experience in mainframes, core java, html, CSS, SQL etc. I am looking for a U-turn in my career and want to take a 6 month study break from my job. After some discussion from friends and searching on internet, I have came across Sybase unwired plaleform and SAP mobility. I want to learn this. But I am not able to find a clear learning path for this. I am expecting that in this forum any able person can help me by letting me know how to procced. what to learn first, what to learn second and which certification I need to go thru, which part(developerr, administrator, architecch etc)will be suitable for me.

    SAP Mobility is hot now.
If you need a career change you can definitely become a SAP Mobility Consultant.
You need to talk to any of the SAP mobility consultant to get some idea on how the apps are developed or attend training provided by SAP.
Sybase Unwired Platform is the key in SAP mobility (Where business logic will be written). To become an SUP developer there is no need of any particular programming language.
My suggestion to you is learn SUP development and Android development (Since you know JAVA).
    All the best.

  • Anyone use Cloudshare for Sharepoint development?

We need to develop some sharepoint solutions for both existing and future customers. Version varys, and we only have a MS Sharepoint 2013 license through MS Partner currently purchases. We have hence been looking at Cloudshare and there Team License as it fits in well as we have 3 developers that need the access to create.
Does anyone use or have used, or even use an alternateive that we can look at?
    Any comments appreciated.

    Not for imaging purposes.
You could have an environment that is ready-to-go with the bits installed, but not configured. You would then have a post-imaging script that would configure the farm. In this process, you would also need to make sure SQL Server was aware of the server's
    new name (see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143799.aspx).

  • SUP - Hybrid Web Container - Development / Customization on Custom.js file

    Hi experts,
    1. To perform customization on the Hybrid Web Container from SUP 2.1, we usually edit the Custom.js file.
    2. Now in the development tool which is our Sybase Unwired Workspace, it uses Eclipse and that is where we usually edit the Custom.js file.
    3. However, to test out the changes in the file, we have to re-deploy the package to the SUP and then see the difference in the device.
    4. Is there a way to debug the Custom.js file, or to put a breakpoint to track and troubleshoot if there is a bug?
    5. Has anyone done customization and used some tool that can allow developers to debug their changes?
    6. It would be very difficult to fix bugs if there is no way to use breakpoints or debug.
    Please advise.
    Thank you.

    Hi Hari,
Try checking out [this video from sybase|http://t.co/qTJHzUGI] on how to debug the JS part of the Hybrid web container. Should help you out.
    Cheers,
    Brenton.

  • Mobile app development without SUP and Mac

    Hi,
Sorry for the disturbance but I am new in the SAP Mobility solution. I have searched for it but i got more confused. I have three main questions:
1- Can I develop mobile applications without SUP? I have found different keywords related to this topic but I couldn't figure out the difference between them and how the development process will be done, the keywords were oData, REST web services, Gateway
2- I found that there are 3 types of applications using SUP: Native (offline application), Hyprid (online app), oData (online app). can all of them connect to SAP EIS? and if yes, what is the difference in this case between Hyprid and oData app?
3- If I want to develop iOS app, should I have MAC or is there any other possible way to allow me to only use my Windows machine?
    Thank you in advance

    Hello Engy,
1- Can I develop mobile applications without SUP? I have found different keywords related to this topic but I couldn't figure out the difference between them and how the development process will be done, the keywords were oData, REST web services, Gateway
Answer: yes you can develop apps with SUP. You have to consume services in your appl if you have to use others.
2- I found that there are 3 types of applications using SUP: Native (offline application), Hyprid (online app), oData (online app). can all of them connect to SAP EIS? and if yes, what is the difference in this case between Hyprid and oData app?
Answer: Native application is offline so you can not get live data from EIS as it is not connected. Hybrid apps uses SUP for the interaction with EIS whereas oDATA doesnt use SUP.
3- If I want to develop iOS app, should I have MAC or is there any other possible way to allow me to only use my Windows machine?
Answer: as mentioned by Binson , it can be done in 2 ways. Xcode is required for the development.
Please let me know if these answers were helpful to you.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • SQL Developer Data Modeler-  Creating super/subtype relationship

The User's Guide does not tell you how to create super/subtype relationship.
To create super/subtype relationship in a logical model, you must already have the two candidate entities; one to be the supertype, the other subtype.
    - on the logical model diagram, right click the candidate subtype and select Properties
    - on the Entity Properties dialog box, select the candidate supertype from the Super Entity drop-down list, then OK
Depending on whether you enable or disable the Box-in-box Presentation on your logical diagram, the subtype would be shown inside or outside its supertype entity, respectively

    Hi Peter,
When I examine an XML file for a relation converted from version 2.0, the XML elements "nameOnSource" and "nameOnTarget" are missing in the converted 3.0 EA1 versionthey are not loaded during "open" of older design. If you define them they will go into XML file.

  • Error in Create Operation in SUP MBO Developement

    Hi all,
I have created MBO with getlist RFC and I have created CREATE operation for that MBO using CREATE RFC. After that i have created two screens one for getlist and one for create. In the create screen i have configured the submit button action to Synchronize opreation. From simulator i have create one customer but it was not sync with backend it was in pending operations.( In the Synchronize opration screen i have uncheckd the Place the operation in pending state). I did manually submit operations but nothing happened.
Please help me to resolve this.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
In the place where you created Synchronize action for your submit button, there will be options. One such option says "Synchronize pending operations when greater than " in that give the value as "1". So whenever it sees one single pending operation it immediately submits that operation to backend. Similarly you can configure that to any number and once those many pending operations reaches then SUP will submit them to Backend.
    Regards,
    Siva.

  • Clear my doubts  Developer super.init(config);

When do we need to override super.init(config); method also what is the difference b/w in overriding doget and dopost methods
    Thanks in advance.

override init when you need to do something on initialisation, like say, initialising a counter (it's kind of like a static initialiser).
doGet responds to HTTP get requests, doPost responds to HTTP post requests.

  • Congrats to the Sql Developer Team! The Migration tool is SUPER

Just wanted to say "thank-you" for such a great tool. Last week, I was fighting a third party software / MS SQL 2000 database. Finally enough was enough, boot up Sql-Dev, migrated everything from MS SQL to oracle...extracted the data....baba boom baba bing..boss is happy!
    Keep up the great work!

I know that the Spatial and Graph folks have an updated extension in the works for SQL Developer, but I can't speak about particular changes or updates. You could cross post to the Spatial forum as well
    Spatial
As per your request for 'shared queries' for your students - I think that's a request independent of our Spatial support, yes?
Could you elaborate a bit on exactly what you'd like to see here?
Our Reports feature has a 'Shared Reports' interface that might get you what you want. There's also Code Templates and Code Snippets as well...
