Super BOM for not KMAT materials

Hi Gurus
I have a client requirement to maintain the BOM for finished product as a Super BOM even though the material is not KMAT material. Super BOM has got KIT materials. Based on this customer requirement only certain materials which goes in to finished product are get selected and should check the availbility of those components and it should create a planned orders and purchase reqn After MRP run.
My question is how the KIT materials are maintained in BOM?
how the materials get selected while creating a Sales order w/o usinf Variant configuration?
Does all the super BOM materials get consumed after the production confirmation?
Quantum.

Hi,
What do you mean by KIT materials.
By the way you can still maintain material as Configurable w/o selecting material type as KMAT.
Just you need to do is select material type  FERT / HALB as applicable and then maintain material is configurable check box ticked in Basic Data 2 View in material master.
Pls revert with more details.

  • Bom for External procured materials

Hi, my bom is as follows. in top level semi product is F procurement type and next to this is 2 roh components of F procurement type. when i run md02, no pr generated for bottom level materials. pls advise why it is not generating the pr's for the same.

Run MRP (MD02) for lower level materials as well, then you will get PRs. If you want PRs at all levels, then run MD01 in NETCH mode.

  • T030 for not valuated materials

    Hi gurus,
I've created a material type with these attributes:
Quantity updating --> In all valuation areas
Value updating --> In no valuation area
When I create a PO for this material system requires returns me (correctly) this message "Account assignment mandatory for material" (eg: WBS), but is unable to determine a G/L Account Number.
While creating the material I've mantained this list of views:
    Basic Data 1
    Basic Data 2
    Purchasing
    Foreign Trade: Import Data
    Purchase Order Text
General Plant Data / Storage 1
General Plant Data / Storage 2
    Warehouse Management 1
    Warehouse Management 2
and in the Basic Data 1 I've maintaned a Material Group who is linked to a G/L Account via T030.
How can I force the autodetermination of G/L Account?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marco.

    Hi
Automatic determination of G/L account happens either using the Valuation class of the material or material group when no material is used.
Without valuation class on the material master, the automatic account determination logic does not work, this is standard process and there are no exceptions to it,
As you have maintained the material type with No value update, you can extend this material with the accounting view and maintain the vlaution class, this will ensure that the system determines the G/L automatically but does not update the valuation as the material is not flagged for value update.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Reg. Creation of Super BOM

    Hi all,
Pls tell me how to create Super BOM.
    I am using ECC6.0
My Requirement is i want supply a finished Product for Eg. Car which has many variants like Colour,Engine Type etc.,I have to create Variant BOM that is Super BOM for this Fin.Product Car.
Here it is tedious for me to create all type of Variant materials in the material master. So By using Variant BOM my work will reduced by creating Finished Product car single item in the material master.
But i am not fully clear about how to create this form the materail master to linking to the Super BOM.
So pls. help me by sending me the Flow of this item from material master to Super BOM.
    Take the same Example.
    Regards,
    M.Badrinarain.

    Hi,
    1 Create characterstics in CT04.
EX: colour(red, blue, green), engine etc., with characterstics value.
2 Create class in CL02 with class type 300. And assign all characterstics in class.
       EX: car
3 Creat object dependecy in Cu01.
Assign the condition type.. it should consists of charater = 'char.val'
4 Create material master with variant material type or create normal finished material and            activate material is configurable in basic data 2. Assign classification view with the type of 300.
5 Assign configurable profile in CU41. for variant material
6 In BOM assign variant and non variant material then for variant material assign object depency.

  • Creation of super bom-- mrp run

    Dear Friends,
i want to create one super bom for any fert.
what i understand from super bom is that, it defines all possible components(bom data). when we require specific type of product, we have to consider some of the components relevant to the particular type of fert before proceeding to mrp.for this i need some clarification!
i am giving small example....In cars blue and red colors are there. for this i have created  super bom through the t-code CS01 by considering two colors.
what are the next steps(screen inputs required)involved to survive the purpose? some clarification on objects and its dependences, classes.
can anybody tell the procedure involved in creating super BOM form material master to running mrp?
    thanks in advance

    Dear satheesh,
Thanks for your reply I want some more clarification, which will be solve my problem. As per your explanation,i tried procedure, but i am unable to do the needful. I am facing the following problems in the following menus.
when i went for creating configurable material in BASIC BATA 2---PLANT CM CONFIGURABLE filed is asking some reference material. how to go about it?
AND IN MRP3---> PLANT CM CONFIGURABLE --- variant material and classes field are showing!
I am familiar abt clasees and characteristics.but how to create variant class and items!
can u please explain how to go about it? it will be very helpful for me to overcome my problem.
I know abt clasees and characteristics, but how to create variant class and items?
can i get ur e-mail id for further communication(if required.)
    Thanx Dosth.

  • Make-to-order: COPS for  KMAT materials (Non-valuated sales stock)

    Hello,
We are working with KMAT configurable material (i.e. non valuated sales order stock).
The client is requiring that inventory of these KMAT material should be shown in the financial accounting;however as we work with KMAT, this seems not possible.
    The whole process is:
    - taking of the sales order with the configuration
    - MRP and Production order Execution
    - Settlement of the PO to the sales order
    - Settlement of the Sales orden to a given account in FI (just like "stock for customer order") - inventory.
The problem we are facing now is how to make the compensation of this account once the product is delivered.
It seems the sales order's default settlement receiver is only the PSG. can we have to use the result analysis key to calculate the cost of sales, and which valuation method can we use if I only want to settle the actual cost that settled from the production order.
By the way, I have search for the notes:Note 26459  it seems we have to run the sales cost estimate first for the KMAT.
    Summary
    Symptom
It is not possible to perform results analysis on sales order items with materials of material type KMAT.
    Additional key words
    Transactions KKA3, KKAK
    Cause and prerequisites
In make-to-order production, the inventory and the cost of sales are not posted through goods movements because the materials are managed in a non-valuated sales order stock. The only way to create postings in FI is to use results analysis (see Note 26456). If the sales order item consists of a material of material type KMAT, results analysis is not possible because no cost estimate exists for this material.
    Solution
Results analysis must be performed with a valuation method that uses profit basis C. With this profit basis, the system uses the planned costs of the production orders for the sales order instead of a cost estimate for the KMAT material.
In Release 2.2 a modification is needed for this which is described in Note 25772. In Release 3.0 this function is provided as standard.
From 3.0C onwards the planned costs of the sales order can also be calculated in a product cost estimate for the sales order. You should use profit basis E in this case.
However, if you are using assembly processing with production orders, you can only use profit basis C.
Hope the scenario is clear. Perhaps you have a different approach to work with KMAT materials.

    Hi Friends,
Can you please provide the solution for my problem and its slight urgent.

  • Sales order costing for Configured Material (Material Variant Not KMAT Mat)

    Hi All
For a Configured Material (Variant) (Not KMAT Material), which is having Std price costed.
But if we create a Sales Order for the Configured Material, what options are availale to Execute Sales order costing and take the sales order value to COGS during Delivery.
The reason being Client wants to Cost BOM items are price which is different from the Price used in Std cost estimate due to Price Volatility.
I can understand we can do this in KMAT, but not sure how to do in Conifgured material. We can execute sales order costing and get Statistical cost value in EK02/EK01, but how to get this value posted during PGI..?
    Thanks
    Aravind

    Hi Ajay
Even if i maintain M in Valuation filed, my Material Variant HALB material is already having standard cost in its material master and it is picking the std cost during PGI Delivery and hitting COGS A/c.
Now how to get my sales order costing to real and post my sales order costing value to GI..this is the client requirement.
Due some complication KMAT is not used and logistics go with Material Variant

  • BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 is not carrying out pricing for variant config materials

    Hi Guys
I need to create a BAPI to create sales orders coming in through a web service from an external system, for normal materials all works well, but for variant config materials the pricing is not happening, like the way it does when I manually create an order, I don't want to manually pass the pricing condition in BAPICOND as I want the BAPI to dynamically determine the conditions from the access sequence.
While debugging VA01 I found that the control goes to the 'PRICING' function module twice, ones for the main material , and next for all its config materials, the second time it calls the 'PRICING' fm with pricing type 'O'. Here it selects the price for all the variant materials and loads into an internal table vkomv and displays in VA01 the variant materials that we select while creating the order, but in the case of the BAPI call, the control is going only to the 'PRICING' fm call for the header.
I have passed 'V'  in the application parameter and the variant material in the varcond parameter of the BAPICOND structure.
Any idea what I might be missing ??
    Thanks

  • Fields for Super BOM, Work Center & Super Routing for Variant Config

    hi! gurus,
Please can you give me mandatory fields & values for Super BOM, Work Center & Super Routing for Variant Config
    thank you

    Hi,
In the Super BOM you need to maintain the object dependencies.
Workcenter fields are as usual for other production processes.
Also you can use search option in the forum to view the threads posted in the past. There are many posts related to variant configuration.

  • BOM explosion not done for externally procured item.

    Hi Experts,
We have done MRP run for finish goods which is creating planned orders for HALB material, but it is not further exploding the BOM of HALB material, so  we are not getting any planned order/pur requisition for ROH. Plz help me out asap.

    Hi,
When you run MRP for an externally procured item say - HALB , proposals will be generated say-planned order for ext proc for that item and the BOM will not be exploded further.

  • For Externally Procured Materials (ex - ROH) - SG's are maintained or not?

    Hello
Do I need to maintain SG's ( like SG10, 40, 70) for ROH as these are externally procured?
As I see since ROH are externally procured, no need to maintain the SG (10, 40, 70,etc) in MRP 3 view of the ROH* material master as SG's (10, 40, 70)* are meant for maintianing PIRS & PIRs means it is inhouse production
Iam not limiting myself to SG's (10,40, 70) for ROH, instead any SG need not be maintained for ROH (externally procured)
If I want to see that ROH materials get consumed by  the FERT then maintain SG 40/70 for the FERT/HALB (inhouse production) that should consume the ROH (externally procured)
    Questions:
Q.For externally procured materials do I need to maintain the SG?
    Q. If no need to maintain SG's for externally procured materials then what fields do I need to maintain to see that externally procured material which are used in the finished product gets consumed by sales orders?
    Please clarify
    Thank You

    Pradeep
Thank you for your reply & time
If the component is semifinished & is externally procured, then following settings needs to be maintained
    Procurement Type : F
Special Procurement Key : 30 (subcontracting)
But Subcontracting(30) is used when we want semifinshed product to be manufactured outside the company from a raw material issued by the company
& control key we maintain is PP02
In above scenario, then we go for subcontracting or else we need not maintain the subcontracting
    Please clarify
In your answer (" u have to set Individual/coll = 1 or blank at MRR of Down level material.")
    what does MRR stand for

I bought a new USB super drive for a MacPro retina. It recognizes CDs but not DVDs. I am in region 1 and my DVDs are all region 1. This is the second drive so the problem seems to be in the computer. The problem is the same with battery power or AC adaptor. I  downloaded Adobe flash before I bought the USD super drive. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • How to set up the inspection plan for the material in super BOM

    Hello,
how to get the accurate inspection plan of the IQC for the material which was class item in a super BOM?
I've gotten the characteristic value from the sales order, and get the PO after MPR. The problem is how to specify the target value and the range of inspection characteristic in inspection plan, because the value is temporary?
    Thanks!
    Lin

    Hello,
I think you need to create MIC which linked with the configuration characteristic, and specify "inspection by configuration" for the inspection type.
then the configuration value in the sales order can be transfered to the inspection lot when production released or goods receipts if you use inspection type 03 or 04. that means the value range for the MIC will be determined dynamically for each sales order.
