Super Smash Brothers Wii U Bundle Pre-Order

I placed an in store deposit of $5.00 on a Super Smash Brothers Wii U Bundle close to a month ago. I usually place my preorders online, but the customer rep said it would be the same thing if I did it in store. When I went in today to pick this bundle up with the rest of my orders, they told me they didn't have my copy in stock. Even while I saw other people picking up their bundles around me!
When I asked to speak to the Manager, he talked down to me and tried to send me off with the least amount of work on his end. I had to practically ask him to try and check the system if the store had any more "in transit." He flat out lied to me and said none in the area had any in stock (even though the customer rep next to him told me some locations had some in stock, although 45minutes away). He wouldn't even let me leave my number so I could get contacted when they got some copies in; even though I was told earlier by the customer rep that I could.
What gives? Do Pre-Orders mean nothing? Does customer service matter? The manager couldn't even tell me if they were going to get more for sure!
*This was at the Colma branch in California by the way. I wish I could remember the manager's name.

When you pre-order from Best Buy, we definitely expect that we will have a product for you. Inventory constraints on some products mean that we don't always have them on day 1 for every customer, but we certainly want to get it fulfilled as quickly as possible. Wii U Deluxe Pre-Order Restock?

I was late on the Wii U Deluxe pre-order and wanted to know if stores or even bestbuy.com will have a second round of pre-orders available for the Deluxe package.

How the stock works is like this:
They get a rough estimate on units they will receive. Let's make up a number, 10,000
They have a limit on preorders of 9,000.
They'll factor in a discrepancy. Let's say 5%, so 500 units. This is for multiple different reasons. Dev didn't ship what they said they would, Late shipment, broken/RMA items, accidental overage of preorders etc.
The rest will be for non-preorders that usually get distributed by store sale amounts for gaming. So the stores with more gaming sales get more.
They try to factor in some for non-preorders, but this doesn't always happen.

Let me share what I was told when I arrived at best buy store. By the way I will file a complaint to corporate about this and will see about filing it to better business bureau... I pre ordered my smash brothers bundle in store ( couldn't do it online because there are issues with my account for a year now and after numerous calls to fix it which I have been given so many ticket numbers,best buy just cant fix their own mistakes). I arrive at the store to pick up my pre order and the employee responds with a dissapointing tone"don't tell me you preordered the bundle." the employee just walks back and forth. She then asks her co-worker which she then tells me "we don't have your preorder...we only filled orders for the people who preordered online and fully paid the game." I asked for a manager and told him this is the second time best buy has messed up my pre orders and provide me with poor service. He then says that they only filled the orders from online purchases and who paid in full which makes me feel like I didn't matter only because I placed a $5.00 deposit to guarantee my copy.overall I received poor customer service, he did not own the situation and didn't offer at least some type of compensation to a "former" loyal elite customer. In general, best buy has given me poor service throughout the year by not fixing my ability to order online for a year, messing up my pre order of Mario kart 8 by charging me for the free $10 gift card which was supposed to be free for pre ordering the game and then refusing to give me a refund for the $10 charge, and finally telling me that even though I pre ordered, because I didn't pay the bundle in full I don't get my copy at all... Not even a phone call,common courtesy to notify me. This is it! Best buy will never get business from me and I will never recomment it to anyone. Amazon on the other hand does everything right, and owns the situations and strive to make things right.Amazon is now my go to for shopping all electronic and entertainment needs. Amazon even allowed me to place a new order for the bundle and will receive it next week versus best buy saying " we don't know when we will get them." In short I cancelled my pre order from best buy and took my business elsewhere. Finally when I asked the supervisor for corporate's contact information, he refused to provide it. Now I need to check online and hunt down that information

While we are working to fulfill our in-store pre-orders that were not yet completed, I can also understand your desire to cancel the order and go where you could get an order shipped out to you. I am sorry that was not us this time.
I will certainly document your feedback so that we can learn from it and ensure that our stores are adequately equipped to fulfill orders as our first priority, but provide all care and courtesy when things don't go quite as intended.

Wii U Online Pre-Order

Hi,
I noticed that the Wii U is coming out on a Sunday (11/18), the same day as the Best Buy weekly ad is published. I was wondering if Best Buy could make sure that online pre-orders receive any possible promotions that the 11/18 weekly ad has (if there is a promotion), since that didn't automatically occur when for existing pre-orders when the 3DS XL came out.

Didn't get pre-order $10 bonus

I was told if I preordered the titanfall bundle I got the $10 bonus. I preordered and had it shipped to me. It's been more than 20 days so I'm reaching out for a BB rep to fix it. I'd do the real time chat, which I prefer, but I can't find that anymore. A link for that would be awesome, so I don't have to wait for a reply again.

Looking at the SKUs for the items included in the bundle, it looks like it is just the individual items that you are selling as a bundle with a $10 discount.

I am sure that you are hugely excited for your PlayStation 4 now that Sony has announced their release date of November 15th!
It’s possible that you might be able to change out your pre-order for the bundle at the time of release, but there really is no way we can guarantee that those bundles will be available. If you are really interested in that bundle, I would recommend pre-ordering one now, while they are still available.

Smashing Pumpkins Pre-Order Ticketmaster Offer: Where's My Code?

I pre-ordered the new Smashing Pumpkins album specifically for the special Ticketmaster offer. The offer stated that a pre-sale code would be mailed to me today (7/10), allowing me the opportunity to purchase 4 tickets for upcoming SP shows before they go on sale to the general public.
I never received my code and wondered if anyone knew why.
The Pumpkins just announced yesterday (7/9) they were coming to Pittsburgh, and that is when I pre-ordered the album. Is it possible Pittsburgh wasn't added to the code database yet because of the late announcement? Or is the Pittsburgh show excluded from the offer for some reason?
The general public on-sale is this Saturday (7/14), so I'd like to have a code before then so I don't get stuck sitting in the nosebleed seats.

I did download the album already, immediately after I woke up this morning at 7 AM Eastern. I don't think I have an issue with junk mail filtering either (I've been keeping an eye on my junk folder just in case).
It is good to hear that it may take some time to receive the code. Hopefully I'm just overly anxious and it will show up soon.
It would be nice if iTunes would simply add a statement to presale offers saying the code will arrive in X hours after you download the album.
As a side note, don't waste your time contacting Ticketmaster on this issue. Ticketmaster wrote me back already and said iTunes is responsible for delivering the pre-sale codes.
I haven't heard anything from iTunes yet. The link to contact iTunes customer service on the Pumpkins presale page goes to an FAQ about downloading songs, and the question area doesn't account for problems like mine. I submitted my problem anyway. I just hope they respond soon.

Pre-order errors: Chemical Brothers

I preordered the new Chemical Brothers album last week, and it went on sale today. iTunes won't let me access my preorder to download it and keeps replying that it's not available in the US.
Help!
It's aggravating that I spend money on buying songs to "support" the artist when I can't have the music I'm trying to pay for. Why am I bothering to buy the album when I can't download it? I guess next time, it'll be easier to just go find an album somewhere else for free.

Hmmm---maybe you're not aware of the debacle re: the "T.I. vs. T.I.P." pre-order two weeks ago. The bonus item associated with the pre-order was delayed and it took days after the album became available commercially for the pre-order customers to get theirs.
My questions: have you gotten an email from iTunes telling you your Chemical Brothers pre-order is available for download?
Are there bonus items associated with this pre-order download? Do you want these bonus items?
If you got an email--try clicking on the link in the email to download your album.
If you haven't gotten an email and there are bonus items associated with this album--then they aren't available yet and that's the reason for the delay.
Now you've got a big decision. You can cancel your pre-order and download the version currently available on iTunes (sign into your account, find your pre-orders and cancel the Chemical Brothers one).
Or, you can be patient and wait for things to get sorted out. (Check some of the back threads to see how impatient T.I. fans were!)
I know this isn't ideal advice and I'm sure you're eager to get this CD (that's why you pre-ordered it!), but if the bonus items are important--a day or two wait will be worth it, trust me! Otherwise, how will you get these things?

Wii U pre order guaranteed?

I managed to pre order the Deluxe Wii u package at my local best buy. Does this mean that I am GUARANTEED a Deluxe Wii U package? Or is it possible that they get sold out and I don't get it even if I pre ordered?

How can a pre-order not be guaranteed? When it comes to a new video game system that is releasing, retail stores such as best buy make sure that they have an excess amount of units than preordered. I didn't even have time to cancel the preorder as that processed a couple minutes before the bundle was posted.
Pre-orders are apparently not worth my time ever again.

Change pre-order from SHIPPING to IN-STORE PICK-UP

This past Sunday, 11/9/14, I placed a pre-order for Super Smash Bros. Wii U to be shipped to my home, but I would now like to pick the game up at a local Best Buy instead -- specifically, the Cambridge, MA location (Store #537).
I spent 30+ minutes on the phone with three reps earlier today trying to do this and none of them were of any help, but I've found previous posts on the support forum wherein users had the same request granted (for example: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Would-like-to-switch-preorder-games-from-shipping-to-in-...). Since the order has not been prepared yet (the game isn't out for another week or so), I'm hoping that this is still a possibility.

Hello, I just came across this promo where you pre order 2 select Wii u or 3ds titles and get a free 7 button set of Mario. I just pre ordered Mario Maker tonight, but then I read where it said on June 17 the list of select titles will be available. I can appreciate your concerns after not seeing anything appear on your order when you placed it for the Super Mario Bros. 7 button set! It looks very cool and should be a nice bonus to pre-ordering these games.
Because of the time frame involved in the promotion and the spacing of these titles, there would not be anything on your actual order or on the in-store receipt. However, we should be reviewing all orders placed during the promotional time frame (6/17/15-7/11/15) for those that qualified and sending out an email with the coupon for the button set. Once we have more details, we will post them here if possible, otherwise, if you don’t see your coupon once they’ve gone out, let us know by posting on the Gaming boards.
