Superimposed Button Text

I have created a slide show in iPhoto with transitions, Ken Burns and music etc;
I have shared it to iDVD, then customised a theme including, changing the button font (Textile), size (36) and color (white), then clicked Burn.
The finished burned disk plays fine in my computer, but when I play it in my Bose 321 system for viewing on TV, the title button which I customised shows as two titles almost super-imposed, similar to a double vision effect.
This produces the effect of having created two buttons ( which I have not done) along with the title text almost illegible.
Is this a problem with my Bose System or are there any known issues with incompatible fonts?
I do of course realize that I need to try different DVD players and even try changing fonts etc; but this takes much time.
If anyone can offer a solution or advice I would appreciate greatly.

I have run into this before. Some of the very top end dvd equipment manufactures have highly specialized (if not selective) electronic components /dvd players/ recorders.
On the other hand some of so called "budget" dvd players / recorders tend to be much more universal in terms of playback of whatever media you put into the tray. And they are often much more adaptable to varied medias and formats. Whereas this is not always the case with top end units unfortunately. Not really sure why this is. But it does seem to happen rather often on these forums.
Bose is one example. Meridian, Denon, & Toshiba are others. You'll spend hundreds for these items. And they are often very well built. On the other hand, I've purchased a cheap Daewoo DVR07 DVD Player/ Recorder for under $75 and it plays and records to everything I've managed to throw at it over the past 6 months .... This is not always the case with some of the more expensive dvd players / recorders.

    Okay I have been working on C3 for 2 months. Subscribed to
    Lynda.com...ran tutorials checked every help link. The Fireworks
    Help function stinks. Editing button symbols, here's what you get
    when you querie button text.
    "Fireworks button symbols are a special kind of symbol. They
    have two kinds of properties: some properties change in all
    instances when you edit an instance of the symbol, and other
    properties affect only the current instance. Here's what you get
    when you querie button text.
    Fireworks button symbols let you take advantage of the
    convenience of symbols yet allow you to edit certain properties of
    a button instance, such as text, without affecting other
    instances."
    Just fabulous, really.....How? Adobe tells me that it can be
    done.....just not how.
    I import a 3 position button from the library. I use the 9
    slice tool to set the button size, enter the text in the properties
    box. Tried to change the font, style or even use the fonts in the
    styles tab....no luck. I'm just
    trying to make a few buttons for a web page, why is it soo
    hard? Why does the help link not walk you
    through the process? Nothing in Lynda.com tutorial.

    Click on the button to select it, and then change the text on
    the 'TEXT'
    line in the Property inspector.

    Double click on the button to open the button editor window.
    Change the
    font properties in the Properties inspector. Return to page

  • Changing quiz button text

    I am working on a series of tutorials and quizzes for our
    client, I want to change the text on the "Next" button on the
    quizzes. It appears easy enough, in the options, Next button text
    field, I have entered what I want, but it still appears as "Next"
    when I publish it. Am I an idiot?
    Please help.

    This may be a stupid question, but did you save the file
    before you published? I have sometimes had instances of not saving
    and publishing first and my changes are not reflected.
    Also, if the buttons were already on the screen with the text
    "Next" when you decided to change the button text, you'll need to
    delete those buttons and then add them again. The text does not
    update dynamically.
    Worst comes to worst, you can manually change the button text
    with a double-click or through properties...
    Hope that helps.

  • Button Text on Form not Displaying

    The following was posted by PGMR1998 at 09:58am on Feb 22, 2008 (Pacific) but got no response:
    I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8, and I have added a button to reset the form fields. The button has some text on top, but the text on the button does not display until I click down on the button in the preview pane. How can I make the button text visible always? Thanks in advance for your support..
    I'm having the same problem with the submit button on a form in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. No matter what I do, the button text does not display. Any ideas?

    What font are you using? What is the font color set to? What font size? Can you post a sample somewhere?
    You specify the label text for a button using the Options tab of the Button Properties dialog. Describe each of the settings on this page. In particular, you can have a different label for the Up, Down, and Rollover states.

  • Unable to define Radio Button Text field & unable to change column position

    Hi,
    While designing a screen in Screen Painter, I am unable to define Radio Button Text field as this option is not there in Graphical Element. And also I want to specify the starting position of column of that element different from the default value, but I am unable to define that because the field is non-editable.
    Can any one please help me out.

    Hi,
    Please find below the sample program from ABAP docu :
    PROGRAM demo_dynpro_input_output.
    DATA: input  TYPE i,
          output TYPE i,
          radio1(1) TYPE c, radio2(1) TYPE c, radio3(1) TYPE c,
          box1(1) TYPE c, box2(1) TYPE c, box3(1) TYPE c, exit(1) TYPE c.
    CALL SCREEN 100.
    MODULE init_screen_100 output.
      CLEAR input.
      radio1 = 'X'.
      CLEAR: radio2, radio3.
    ENDMODULE.
    MODULE user_command_0100 input.
      output = input.
      box1 = radio1.
      box2 = radio2.
      box3 = radio3.
      IF exit NE space.
        LEAVE PROGRAM.
      ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.
    Here radio1(1) TYPE c is defined within the program but in the element list there are RADIO1 element exist. One is actual radio button and the other is Radio Button Text.
    I am not able to create that radio button text using same object name.
    Please suggest.

  • Simple Button.Text not changing properly

    Hi all,
    The WPF learning curve is steep.
    I have pulled my hair over this simple Button.Text change and I can't get it to work.
    In WinForms this works:
    Public Class Form1
    Private Sub BTN_1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles BTN_1.Click
    BTN_1.Text = "CLICKED BUTTON 1"
    BTN_2.Text = "CHANGED BY BUTTON 1"
    End Sub
    Private Sub BTN_2_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles BTN_2.Click
    BTN_2.Text = "CLICKED BUTTON 2"
    BTN_1.Text = "CHANGED BY BUTTON 2"
    End Sub
    End Class
    I want to do the same thing in WPF

  • JToolBar doesn't display button text ?

    I have created a new action like this
              this.putValue(Action.NAME, "Queue");
              this.putValue(Action.SHORT_DESCRIPTION, "Add ID card to print queue");
              this.putValue(Action.SMALL_ICON, this.loadIcon("resources/icons/arrowright_green24.gif"));then i call
    Jbutton queueButton = toolBar.add(new QueueAction());and it displays the button with an icon but no text under it,
    i was under the assumption that it would use the NAME value that i set in the action as the button text
    if i call
    queueButton.setText("Queue"); that displays how i want it, but if that is the case what is the point of using an action in the first place
    what am i doing wrong ?
    thanks in advance
    alex

    what am i doing wrong ?You can always look at the source code to see exactly what is going on. I found the following code which would seem to be the cause of the problem:
    if (icon !=null)
        b.putClientProperty("hideActionText", Boolean.TRUE);
    }Although I must admit I'm not sure why setting the text after the fact seems works since it never resets the client property. But you can chase it down through the code if you're interested.
    but if that is the case what is the point of using an action in the first placeAn Action can be shared by multiple components. Typically you would have a menu item and a toolbar button for the same Action. You can then just enable/disable the Action and both components will be changed.
    You should be able to solve your problem by using:
    button = new JButton( new QueueAction() );
    toolBar.add( button );

  • Ampersand in a radio button text

    Please, can somebody tell me how do I get an ampersand (&) in a radio button text using screen painter.
    Thanks

    On the Element list/General attr. tab I have:
    Name     Type     Line     Column     Format
    G_PRJ     Radio     21     30     CHAR
    G_PRJ     Radio     21     32
    On the Element list/Texts/ I/O templates tab I have:
    Name     Type     Text
    G_PRJ     Radio     _
    G_PRJ     Radio     P&S
    With these settings, I am getting a fullstop instead of &, so adding the text in the element list didn't work for me. BTW The text where it says _ (underline) is read-only.
    Thanks.

  • Can't edit button text - 6.0.2

    iDVD 6.0.2
    I'm unable to edit chapter button text - I can't select individual buttons, therefore can't highlight the text to change it. Clicking on a button selects the main title for that screen, not the button. "Select All Buttons" will allow me to change font/size for all the buttons on that menu, but not edit text. I'm using the "Fun" theme. Any help would be appreciated.

    Is there a way to do this based on what screen you are on inside of web determinations?, I attempted editing messages.en.properties and using a substitute attribute %textSubmitButton% instead of submit and set that attribute to "testing" within the rulebase, but the submit button displayed %textSubmitButton%, Is there another way to do this?

    You can override the default text displayed for the submit button by subscribing to the OnApplyTemplatesEvent and altering the value of the 'submit-button-text' property in the screen context based on the current screen being rendered.

  • External ITS change button text

    We are just implementing ESS 50.4 using WAS 4.7, Portal 6.0, and external ITS.
    In the Enrollment IAC, transaction PZ14,
    SAP Template Button href=URLPLAN
    button=TXT_INFO
    iconName=b_info
    The button displays the word 'Information' and we need to change that word.  Where does one change the text for a button on external ITS?
    I have tried SE93.
    Thank you,

    Hello Donna,
    normally the button texts are set by the application. But did you try to override it by providing the parameter buttonLabel="something" to the function that renders the button?
    With best regards,

  • Bold Button Text

    Merry Christmas everybody,
    My menu_bar has lot of buttons with different text captions
    (of course)
    and each one (text) depends from a var defined on main
    actions page.
    So, the button text was made with a bold property and when
    the movie is
    loaded, it appears like normal text (no-bold) Why it loses
    his properties?
    Thanks in advance...

    the easiest (and not very elegant way) is to add textfields that contain those fonts (and embed them).  you can remove your textfields from the display list or otherwise, make them not visible on-stage.
