Hi all,

Thanks
Stuart

  • How do I superscript text in Ver 3.6?

The font dialog box has changed in Ver 3.6 and I can't find a way to superscript text when making a book.

You can reinstall Firefox 3.6 from http://www.firefox.com/all-older.html
You might need to uninstall Firefox 4 before installing Firefox 3.6. When you uninstall Firefox 4, make sure you do '''not''' select the option to "Remove my Firefox data." (If you select that option, it will delete your bookmarks and settings.)

  • VO does not distinguish between subscript or superscript text

I find it strange that VocieOver in Mac OS X (10.5.8) does not distinguish between subscript and superscript. Subscript and superscript hold a lot of meaning and was wondering if there was maybe a setting somewhere that enabled subscript and superscript text to be easily identified.
    Thanks

Hello, man with the spoof hobbitname,
Try doing it the other way around: put your legacy instruments in the main folder, after you've removed the new ones with the same names - including their samples folders.
    *Like so:*
    +(the folders are empty - I don't actually have them)+
    It should work this way...
    regards, Erik.

  • Robohelp and superscript text

I have FrameMaker 10 and RoboHelp 9.  When I convert a Framemaker document that has superscript text into RoboHelp, Robohelp skews the text.  The html reveals that it is not placing the "end superscript" commands correctly, it places it at the end of the sentence instead of after the superscript text.
    Any help?

Are you linking or importing? Does the superscript character tag have its own name? Access the Conversion Settings through the RH Project Settings by selecting the Edit FrameMaker…stuff button.

  • PE 9: How do I superscript text

PE 9: How do I superscript text

Unfortunately, Elements has very basic text capability, nothing like full photoshop. You would need to use individual text blocks, unless MTSTUNER may know of a way. Even the Elements+ add-on doesn't list this as an option it can enable.

  • Making Superscript Text in FCP6

Does anyone know how to make superscript using the text generator in FCP 6?
Superscript is when you have a title like "Friday The 13th" and you need to put the "th" above the "13" rather than on the same line.
    Thanks,
    Marc Griffin

Type it out in word the way you would like it work and then copy and paste it into FCP
    Cheers.
EDIT: Nerver mind that has worked for me in the past but doesn't seem to be working in this case! Sorry about that one.

  • Superscript Characters not printing in a PDF

I was wondering if anybody knows of a work around to print superscript characters in a table.
I am a Structural Engineer and use tables for my loadings however instead of m^2 (the 2 is superscript and no ^) I get m when I print my document to a pdf. But when I print to paper it prints as shown.
The wierd thing is if the superscript isn't in a table it will print ok !!!
I can obviously use ^2 instead but this looks unprofessional and a mess.
I tried to log this problem to Apple, but they wanted $20 just for the privledge
    Thanks inadvance

Just tried again in the new Numbers 3.5 with Yosemite and this seems to have been finally fixed.
Printed to a pdf and superscript text was printed correctly.
I'll do some more testing but I hope I can finally say goodbye to Numbers 2.3.
My guess is this will be fixed in Pages too...

  • Director 12 on iPad text issues

When publishing a from Director 12 to iPad has anyone had any particular text rendering issues? I have been using Trebuchet MS which is an ios supported font (i get the same problems with other fonts however).
The particular problems i have is that superscript text, using the #superscript font style are not appearing at the correct height at the top of the text, instead it sits at the bottom of the line. Also, any text i colour with a faint colour (#00B8FF, a bright light blue in my example) appears with what seems a faint black line stroke or shadow around it like it hasn't be anti-aliased? The darker colour i choose the better it seems to render.
I would be very interested if anyone has encountered similar problems, and if they have managed to fix it in any way, even through a workaround? It seems a strange problem that should be fixable.
    Thank you.

I think you might be able to use formulas to achieve what you are looking for. I found this kbase <a href="http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=c2010059&sliceId=&dialogID=1988273&stateId=1 0 1986304" target="_blank">c2010059</a>, on the BOBJ support site that provides a series of steps to create formulas to achieve superscript text. The kbase uses dates as an example but you should be able to do the same for your needs. The similar should be possible for subscript text. Hopefully this helps you out! -MJ

  • Superscript test in BO WEBI Report

Can any one help me to create superscript text BO WEBI(XI R2) report.
For EX: MicrosoftTM (Here TM should be super scipt.) Unable to apply format here also.
I don't want to do this in HTML, because if we export report to PDF or XLS, instead of applied format, HTML code will come.
Is there any workaround to achive this.
    Please help.

    Hi Ravi,
What's the solution? What did you do to make it work in PDF?
I found a link where they found a solution which works in Excel & HTML.
Re: How to use superscript & subscript in WEBI 4.1

  • Superscripts in Find and Replace

How can I enter superscripted text in the Replace box of the Find and Replace dialog without losing the superscript formatting when it pastes?
    Thanks.
    Dennis

Thank you for the reply, Arnis.  I don't find that option in my Find/Replace dialog.  I've tried copying the superscripted text to the clipboard and pasting in the Replace box of the Find and Replace dialog, but it loses the superscripting, and pastes into the document without it.  I find I have to go into each occurrence individually and superscript each one.  I'm using Illustrator CS5....and I just realized I'm on the wrong forum.   Never mind.........

  • [CS5 JS] Problem in Applying character styles xml tag names

    Hi,
    e.g. 1
This is a italic text with superscript value
    e.g.2
This is a superscript text with Bold superscript
mapped to character style "italic" and
     mapped to character style "sup"
In my java script I already mapped the xml tags to specific character styles. In some of the cases (see e.g.1 and e.g.2) I need to map it to other character styles.
In e.g.1 I need to apply a new character styles "italicSup" for the text "superscript value" same way
In e.g.2 I need to apply a new character styles "BoldSup" for the text "Bold superscript".
Can any know how to do this?

    FYI, I am using
    Win Xp-SP2, CS5 7.0.3

  • Footnotes in Tables?!

I am an academic and need to use footnotes not only in the body of my documents, but also in tables. I just started using iWork to avoid Office, but I cannot seem to be able to insert footnotes into tables in Pages. Is it really not possible? Say it isn't so, and I have to go back to MS Word.

As a matter of style only, I always use 'fake' footnotes in tables, even in Word, by using superscript text for the marker and putting the footnote at the bottom of the table. I also use letters for table footnotes. This distinguishes them from footnotes in the body and makes the table self-contained.
    Just a thought.
