Superuser Workflow not working

If you look at the Super User Access request 657 it is not assigned to FF owner.
It is taking Escape_Path and getting assigned to GRAC security.
How can we assign it to the FF Owner.

Customer Workflows Not Working from SRM Inbox

Hi everyone,
We are upgrdaing our EBP v3.5 system to SRM 5.0 (SRM SERVER 5.5 SP 5).
We are using integrated ITS and have many bespoke workflows which need to executeable in the SRM inbox via the integrated ITS and ultimately the portal (EP 7.0).
We have various issues with our bespoke workflows not working. The 2 errors we have found are:
1. When the users click on the workitem from the SRM inbox they sometimes see 'Service Cannot be Reached' error.
2. Other times they see the workitem details with no user decision buttons shown.
3. Other times the user decision buttons are shown but if the user clicks on one, they see a blank page with text "workitem currently locked by user WF_BATCH" at the top. This is an 'advance with dialog' task which works fine via SAPGUI.
Any ideas on any of the specific issues, or anything which we need to do generally to get custom workitems to be executeable via the ITS?

I checked that but I set it to blank in debug mode..but its still disappearing...the button disappears after pressing enter on error message.
actually the BADI when I implemented there is one method where I set E_ADD_ON_ACTIVE flag to 'X' to bring that button(recommended by SAP). that method is not getting called...

Purchase order release strategy Workflow not working

Hi All,
I am working on PO Approval release strategy and it is not working fine . The release strategy set up is configured by my functional consultant . I just copied the standard workflow template WS20000075 and making changes to my custom workflow template . When ever po is created an event "RELEASESTEPCREATED" get triggered and the first approver receives an workitem and when he approves it goes to Second Approver and it is working fine . But when rejected then a notification email goes to initiator . Now when an initiator login into ME22N and made any changes ( even material text change ) in it then again "RELEASESTEPCREATED" event getting triggered . But I need to trigger my workflow only when there is change in PO Net value .
Kindly help me how to achieve this functionality .

There is already an existing entry for BUS2012 with event CHANGED against the change doc EINKBELEG .
Acutlly when login as initiator and try to change PO through ME22N here are my observations :
case 1: When Buyer click on " Cancel Reject " button and do any changes ( even text change ) then RELEASESTEPCREATED and CHANGED events are triggering . But since the event linkaged is set to RELEASESTEPCREATED workflow get restarted again.
Even the CHANGE event does'nt have 'RELEASECODE' as parameter to restart workflow .
Case 2: When Buyer doesn't click on " Cancel Rejection" buttion and do any changes then only CHANGE event get triggered
which do nothing since there is no event linkage .
Is to click on " Cancel Reject" button mandatory ? . But even though we make " Cancel Reject" as Button mandatory then RELEASESTEPCREATED Button triggering for any change but we need to trigger it for only net Value change .

SPD 2013 Workflow not working

Hello,
I'm running into a very interesting issue, we have a 2013 custom list that has some 2010 and 2013 workflows associated with it. Just until recently the workflows were working fine, but now only 2010 workflows are working.
I updated one of the 2013, tried to publish it but then I canceled the process of publishing it because I had to make a new update.... not sure if this flipped the switch on these but now even if I create new ones in SPD they will not run. Also if
I try to run in manually I get a message - "Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow"(the option for start manually is enabled in SPD 2013). Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you ran a SharePoint 2013 workflow.
Afer you made some change in your workflow, whether you re-published the workflow. if not, please publish it, then test again, compare the result.
Please create a new SharePoint 2013 workflow on the list, then test, compare the result.
If this issue only occurred on the specifical workflow, I suggest you create a new workflow instead of the problematic one.
If this issue occurred on all SharePoint 2013 workflow, you can try to re-register workflow service.

Workflow not working in Background Processing

Hi All,
I am relatively new to Workflow. Currently, I am creating Deliveries (preferably in background) once a Sales Order is created. I am using an ABAP Class as the object method to submit the sales order number to the delivery processing method (which just submits basic information to standard SAP transaction VL04). I found that if the execution of the delivery creation task is not in Background Processing (the user manually kicks off the Delivery creation in SBWP) the workflow works as expected and creates the deliveries. However, if the Background Processing is checked, the workflow does not process and does not create a delivery. Is there any specific reason as to why the workflow will not work in background?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

See to process a Back ground task, there should be a proper parameter flow.
Please look at the import parameters in the method you are using to process the back ground task..
If proper import parameters are passed then the task will work

Appropriation Request Workflow Not Working

Dear Friends,
I have been working on Workflow for Approval of Appropriation Request.
Even after carrying out all the required configuration, the process is not working. Following are the symptoms:
1) When appropriation request is submitted for Approval, I am maintaining Ser ids of approvers in the Partner field.The moment I set the For Approval status the Approve Button is deactivated.Even when I log in from the Approver's user ID the button is Deactivated. I believe that, it is so because once workflow is active one can not approve in master data transaction, approval has to be done thru workflow only.
2) When I check the Business Workplace Inboxes of Approvers there are no Workflow related mails.
3) I have also checked in IMA11 that the Work flow has been created.
Ne suggestion on the would be of great value.

I checked all these.
Still there is no success.
In the appropriation request I have maintained different users as partners ( excluding myself) partners. As per the Workflow the mail should go to inbox of these users. Work flow is getting activated but still its not geting updated in the inboxes of users.
Are there any Basis settings that I may be ignoring.
Also the object type BUS2104 is being used. In forum I have read that this object type is obsolete. May be I can change the object type to BUS2204 ( the new one). If I need to do the same, what are the settings I need to do?

Workflow not working in Quality Server

Hi All,
I had configured a workflow and it was working fine in the Develpment and then we moved it to Quality.I have tested it several times and it was working fine.In the quality server changes cannot be made and so evertthing would be in Dispaly mode.
But now its not working in Quality where as it is working in Dev.
Can anyone help me on this.

As it is not very much clear as of what 'kind' of problem you are facing, following might be possible
Workflow did not tigger at all
- Event Linkage is down - check in SWEC/SWETYPV, also check SWEL for event receiver
- Workflow definition is not activated - check in SWDD, you can always activate
Workflow Triggered but ended in technical error
- check bindings
- check business object(s) are generated
- check methods are free of error
- in case of send mail error, check mail ids
Workflow Tiggered but ended in logical error
- check workflow logic

Workflow not working in QAS

Hi Experts,
I have implemented an workflow to send notification mail to a particular position in the organizational unit upon some status change.I have assigned a user as a holder to the position.The worklfow is working perfectly alright in development system but is not working in the QAS...all the settings are the same in both the sytems and workflow customizing in SWU3 is also perfectly ok in the QAS system....
I am getting a error "Runtime Object ' 2' not defined"..in the worklfow log...
I would appreciate it if any one could give some direction towards the solution of the problem....

I checked for the suers in the QAS and the development system and there is no problems with it.And all the required objects are transported correctly.
I am at loss of ideas to solve this issue.....

I have an application which has 4 EJB, it creates 10 beans each at the start
and i too have two work flow. when all my applications are deployed and when i
test my application, my workflow is not working, means that its not getting initiated.
and because of this my application dies. as a soultion search, i dropped all my
ejbs expect the needed one, and i ran my application, bt at ths time my workflow
works, is this a resource problem of my machine,still my machine is a pentium
4 , 2.6Ghz with 1 GB ram, can aany body suggest a solution , so tat i cant deploy
all the beans as well as can run my workflow.

b. how is you workflow instantiated, ( in 8.1 it could be JMS/Http/JPDProxy, for
7.x it could be JMS/RMI)
c. How are the EJBs and Workflow deployed. Are they in the same application/EAR.
To give you an idea, i was working in an application which has about 40-50 EJBs(Session/Entity)
with 5-6 workflows and it runs ok even with a max heap size of 512MB on a windows
server PIII.

Two level approval workflow not working

Hi Experts,
I am making a workflow which have two level approval , now the problem is that the first level approver is going only to workflow initiator and if I use any other ID it is not working , it just hangs there.
Secondly if I send the first approval to workflow Initiator and it approves it then it hangs with second decision step.
I have made the agent assignment as general task. I have also checked SWU3 and all the things in that are activated.
Kindly help me in this issue.

Workflow Not Working

My custom workflow is not working in the QA system but is working perfectly in the DEV system. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? The Business object being used (BUS2012) is not even appearing in the SWEL trace.

Hi,
As you say that the BO event does not appear in SWEL, I think there could be an issue with the event being triggered. Check if the event needs to get triggered for the operation you are performing.
Go to SWETYPV t-code and check if the event linkage between your workflow and the BO BUS2012 is active. There is a checkbox to mark it active.
Also check if the event trace is switched on using t-code SWELS.

Workflows not working in production

Hi,
I have developed some workflows which are working fine in DEV and QUA environments. However, in PROD they are not working. I activated the event linkage and traced the event via transaction SWEL. The findings are that an error occurs in one of my tasks. I find this strange due to the fact that everything is working in DEV and QUA. Anyone who has some good ideas what could be the problem?

it turned out that the object was not identical in PROD and the DEV, QUA systems. In other words, the workflows are working correctly but creating an error due to incorrect business data.

Release Invoice - Workflow not working in Background - Need Help

Business Object : BUS2081.
The Requirement is : We need to release an Incomming Invoice.
For this we are using a FM : bapi_incominginvoice_release
and for Database updation : bapi_transaction_commit
Now we are setting the workflow in foreground and so a workitem is created in Inbox, when we execute that workitem, the Invoice is getting released.
But our client wants the release of the Invoice in background with our user intervention.
Now, when we r trying in background, commit is not working.
If we remove commit, Status is successful, but the Invoice is not getting released.
Please help me out on this issue. Its a imp req.

I think you must have created the custom method to release the invoice, if not please create a custom method and write a zfunction module as below :
ZBAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE RELEASE( Inside this FM just call the standard FM)
BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE RELEASE
COMMIT WORK.
ENDFUNCTION.
Then use the above FM to release the invoice.
It will work.

Workflow not working if the trigger field isn't in the list view!

I have a list that displays important dates, and I have set up a reminder date column which calculated the reminder date by adding 7 days on to the set date. I then have a workflow that emails out reminder of this task if the reminder date matches today.
I have noticed that if I include the reminder date column in my list view, the workflow works fine. But as soon as I remove the reminder date field from the list view my workflow no longer works. It's obviously quite confusing to other having this reminder
date column there when it is only needed to trigger a workflow, so how do I trigger the workflow without having it on view?

Hi Sarah,
As I understand, you have a Date column for user to set date, then you want a reminder date to add 7days to Date column. Then you would like to trigger a workflow if reminder date matches today.
If you do not want reminder date in the list, you could use the workflow 2013 action Core Actions > Add time to Date, to set a workflow variable to replace reminder date, and compare with today. Then you could omit reminder date column.
If you do want reminder date in the list, please try hide reminder date column in the list and test the issue again.

Workflow not working for multiple line items

Hi gurus,
we are working on ECN/ECO workflow.
Once ECN is created in CC01, our workflow triggers.
we are calling subflow from main WF for enhancing the materials of the Engineering change number(ECN).
Subflow will take the material to different departments for enhancing the views like,
Purchasing views by purchasing dept,
quality views by quality dept,
sales views by sales dept,
etc.
This whole process is working fine, if there is single material number in ECN.
But, if there are 2 material numbers, the control is not returning back to MAIN WF from Subflow.
do we need any config/setup to make it work. (we are using block while calling subflow).
Any help will be of gr8 use.

Can you please update on what is the status in the workflow log. You can check this from SWIA tcode.
If it is in process step please check for ST22 dump if any.
