Supplicant doesn`t pop up on Win XP during authentication wth Cisco ISE
Hello!
I try to configure 802.1X authentication with Cisco ISE, Win XP SP3 and native supplicant.
Problem is that when workstation connects to the network, it uses hostname as an username and sapplicant doesn`t pop up to ask me username and password. Anybody know how to resolve this problem? Mb to install some patch on Win XP?

Tarik, yes of course. Also I manually installed Cisco NAC agent on workstation and it also don`t ask credentials.
I read this article, but I don`t understand what should I do?
In RADIUS debug I see folowing:
RADIUS(000000F7): Send Access-Request to ISE:1812 id 1645/243, len 248
RADIUS: User-Name [1] 29 "host/ISEfuji.office"

Why User-Name is workstation hostname I don`t understand.

How come I have to put in a keychain password every time safari or mail is opened? Is there a way I can disable it or save the password so it doesn't pop up every time? Also, I have my mail account set up from my Yahoo! account and every time I open mail, it asks for the password for my Yahoo! account. I have checked save this password to keychain and it persists on popping up repeatedly.
You don't want to disable keychain (if there's even a good way to do so), since it stores stuff like certificates and the such. It's quite useful.
Anyways, Keychains>Preferences>First Aid. Check Set Login Keychain as default. When you login, it unlocks the keychain.

I purchased a wireless keyboard for my iPad a week ago and now the keypad doesn't pop up when I want to type anything.
Have you tried to go into bluetooth and telling it to forget your keyboard?
Drastic but might enable you to repair the devices and see if it clears up the glitch.
I had a period of time when my iPad always sensed and used my bluetooth keyboard. I think it finally went away after I powered down the iPad. (not just a put to sleep, a bonafide 'slide the red slider to shut it down' powering down. -
ITunes (11.1.5.) doesn't work properly in Win 7
Am I the only one whose iTunes doesn't work properly in Win 7? I open iTunes and few seconds later it closes itself because Windows finds some problems. I've already reinstalled the whole program but this problem still stands.

I tried to reboot and worked for a while. but, if simple hybernate the ipad, once I enter again the keyboard doesnt work...so obliged to reboot and reboot every time i leave the ipad alone for few minutes.

If you are trying to create a catagory inside a collection, you cannot. Categories are a property (metadata) of the individual titles. You can't create them. You can create collection, but they cannot be nested. -
Hello, I have an EOS Rebel XS camera. The built in flash isn´t opening and teh follow message appear:
" Error 05 The built-in flash´s auto pop-up was obstructed. Turn de power switch to <OFF> and <ON> again."
I´ve tryed several times with no results. Is there something else I could do before taking the camera to the Service?

Solved!
Go to Solution.The pop-up flash has a tiny catch-hook which holds it down. When the camera (or a manual operation) wants to pop it up, a solenoid release the catch-hook and the spring should pop it up.
You shoul hear the clicking sound of the solenoid releasing the catch a few times before the camera gives up and displays the error message.
It means the pop-up flash is jammed... possibly a bit of dust, sand, or gunk is gumming it up so it can't flip up.
Using your fingers, gently pull up on the flash either while pressing the flash pop-up button or just pressing the shutter button in a sitaution where the camera would call for flash.
Once opened, you can use a bit of compressed air on the hinge points to see if you can clear the problem. You'll probably notice the hinge is stiff and doesn't pop-up on its own.
I have seen suggestions to use WD40 -- but frankly wouldn't get that stuff near my camera. If there is gunk, you could use denatured alcohold to dissolve whatever is gumming up the works. The advantage of the alcohol is that it'll evaporate on its own.

have this work to disable games, IE, MSpaint, etc. Computer has been restarted since enabling the GPO and also have enforced the GPO via CMD prompt. worked fine on windows 8 and 7.Any success ?

Cisco ISE - Excessive "Misconfigured Supplicant Detected/Fixed" events
I have noticed recently that I am getting a LOT of Misconfigured Supplicant Detected messages, followed anywhere from 3-6 hours later by a "fixed" message. Example below:
Misconfigured Supplicant Detected with EndpointID=00:1B:77:xx:xx:xx from user=host/Example
Misconfigured Supplicant Detected with EndpointID=00:1B:77:xx:xx:xx is fixed.
I'm getting 100+ of these messages every day. The amount of these messages doesn't seem normal to me. I currently have my ISE deployment in Monitor mode, and I am guessing that if I was in Low-impact mode, I would be getting many calls about user authentication failures every day.
Anyone have any insight/advise on this?

Is this error occurring for same endpoints all the time?
I ran a report on misconfigured supplicants over the past week and discovered that of the 92 offenders 71 are wireless clients using Intel wireless NICs and 21 are connected to a WS-C3560-48PS switch running 12.2(55)SE9. I cannot get a 15.x image on it because of flash memory limitations.
Do you have client suppression feature enable on ISE?
I have Anomalous client suppression enabled for logging.
Are there known issues with Intel NICs? There are 4 different Intel MACs among the 71 wireless clients. -

Thank for your answers, the problem was that the ISO image on the Cisco software repository was corrupted. I finally did a md5 check, and downloaded the image 4 times.
The for images download matched the md5 checksums between themselves, but not the Cisco webpage. Finally a TAC engineer had to publish the image form me, and when downloaded from this link It matched the CCO md5 and it worked fine.

Cisco ISE doesn`t send packets to AD
Hello!
I`ve tried to configure authentication through AD. Intergation Cisco ISE with AD is successful and I can retrive all groups from AD. I`ve configured dot1X authentication (Policy>Authentication) to use at first AD, then Internal Users.I`ve configured the rule for one group in authorization policy (Policy>Authorization), I`ve added this group from AD (Administration> Identty Management> External Identity Sources> Active Directory> Groups).
When the user tries to connect to LAN and enters credentials from AD, Cisco ISE always uses only Internal Identity Source and doesn`t try to seach user in AD. I don`t see any packets to AD in Operations>Authentication and TCP Dump, Cisco ISE only checks Internal Identity Source.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Guest Portal sends message about succeful authentication and after that redirect again in Guest Portal.
I have two rules in Policy>Authorization (attach: Auth).
In Operations>Authentication I see folowing (attach: Guest)
In defaultguestportal I have "Both" authentication and sequence from 3 Identity Stores (Intetnal Users, Internal Endpoint, AD) -
MAC OS X unable to download Cisco ISE supplicant agent
Hi,
I have a problem with MAC OS X clients unable to download the Cisco ISE supplicant agent using Safari browser but able to login on the ISE guest portal. If the same client was to login to the ISE guest portal using Firefox; it has no issues downloading the ise supplicant and posture agent.
I have tried to update the Java version on the client to the latest; however it does not resolve the issue. As I am new to MAC OS clients; I was wondering what may be the cause of the issue?
I have summarized the issue as follows:
1. MAC OS X 10.8 with safari 6 -- unable to download agent but can login successfully on the Cisco ISE guest portal
2. MAC OS X 10.8 with Firefox -- able to login to Cisco ISE guest portal and download agents; no issues
3. MAC OS X 10.7 with safari and firefox --- unable to download agent but can login successfully on the Cisco ISE guest portal
4. Windows XP & Windows 7 & Iphone/Ipad/Android -- able to login/download agent without any issues
Any suggestions is appreciated.

• Try reauthenticating the client machine by bouncing the port on the access

Remember that the client provisioning agent installer download requires the following:
• The user must allow the ActiveX installer in the browser session the first time an agent is installed
on the client machine. (The client provisioning download page prompts for this.)
• The client machine must have Internet access.

You might try tweaking your global privacy settings. I suspect it's set to "always ask."
Go to this page -- http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l -- which contains the settings panel for Flash Player, and click on the various "deny" buttons to disable this. (It's a good idea to click on all the tabs to check the settings.)

Firefox just changed out of nowhere. I can only open firefox once... I used to have atleast 2 browsers up using them both on different sites, but now I can't have but one firefox browser up (not tabs, but firefox pages) Also when I am trying to upload images on ebay or any other site nothing happens... nothing pops up. I click it over and over and nothing even pops up. This is exactly what happens with the firefox browser in my first question... I can click the firefox icon a million times and nothing comes up. My tabs are all gone and it doesn't show anything like I had before this all changed? Did I reset everything some how? I do not recall clicking anything to go back... I do remember clicking an update because it kept poping up so I did it and that is the last thing I remember before this happened! UGHHH!
As I asked previously are you able to have tabs open as a window by using the right clicking option ?
