Supplier and manufaturer Detail in result recording

Dear gurus,
In inspection lot and at the time of vendor approval (Qinfo record) I wants combination of supplier and manufacturer separately.
In the inspection lot details we are having 2 field Manufacturer --> Non editable
Supplier --> Value flow from GRN
In QA32 inspection lot details, I wants to flow the Manufacturer name how it is possible?

My QM end user wants list of all results which he made against the Inspection characteristics for all the lots which is generated against a sales order and hence production order as it is MTO scenario.

Still i am not getting the field value.
I will explain u my end user do.
At the time of result recording,for individual characteristic,visual defect,under the catalogue attribute and respective code group no short text is defined for the code say 59 in QS41,so they put special remark if they found,a pop up(Defect overview for characteristic) comes only when u reject(radio button) it.
In the defect overview for characteristic window they put the description of the defect they observed like edge damage,burr condition,slitting on line done etc.it may be of three four line.they comes out of this window.
This description is come to visible automatically in the form of SAP Std.
display sign 'Goggle' in QE13 for this individual characteristic under column 'Characteristic defect',when u click this goggle u can see the description whatever u have entered previously.
I want have the lot wise detail of this description
for all the lots which i made during last three months as there is market complaint against a SO.

Report of result recording for multiple batches in a given time span .

Dear team ,
I am looking for a standard SAP report that gives the details of result recording with all the characteristics for mulitple batches in a given span of time . The MICs will show the actual values recorded for each of the batches.
The colums may be like this
material/batche/lot/quanity/mic1 value/mic2 value/mic 3 value...........
A standard report is prefered and we would also like to have a trend analysis done for the batches .

Insp lot- results recording

Hi, activated qm for procurement. po generated and gr done and insp lot no taken from md04. pls note that the sys status here is crtd, chcr, sprq shows in MDO4 for that insp lot details.while searching same insp lot no in qe51n, it gives the message "no entries found". pls advise how tosolve and to do rsults recording.

Check Whether you have created the Inspectionplan for that material(QP01 for creation). If not create it.
And Check In Material master -
> Inspection type deatiled view whether auto. Assignment Check box is selected or not. If not , Select it.
Now Onwards the Created Inspection lots will be released Status and you can do result recording for them.
For Existing Lots with CRTD Status do the following steps.
1) Create Inspection Plan(QP01)
2) QA02 -> Inspection lot change> Insp.Specification Tab> Click On Task list/specification push button> It will Auto matically assign the Inspection plan and then Inspection lot get convert into Release Status. Then Save it.
Noe you can do the result recording for it.

Upload Document while result recording

Hi Experts,
I need your help on the below scenario to check the feasibility and possible solution.
Scenario : We have a MIC result recording screen where user needs to attach document(mostly captured image) for each or some MIC and record the Inspection results in SAP QM along with documents.
we are using SAP MII as front end to record the results and then post these results recording along with document to SAP QM.
please guide what is the best solution to achieve this , Is there any BAPI available to do this etc..?

Hello,
In standard SAP, In DMS it is not possible to enter document at MIC level as no object link will be there for MIC level.
But either u need to store all document as above said in inspection lot level or at UD level. or u need to make some customize call screen at MIC level by using enhancements or Exits and solve your requirement.
In Stdn SAP its not possible.

Accept tab not activated for characteristics in result recording screen

Hi,
'Accept and Reject tab' is active only for few characteristics in result recording screen.After entering all the inspection data's system is manually valuating each MIC.
Pls. help me on how to activate the 'Accept and Reject tab' in results recording.

Results Recording-general and summarized views

Hi all,
I found in the Results Recording screen there are different views existing, basically "General", "Summarized", "Indicator", and for qualitative MIC there is "Unit to be Inspected" view. Can anyone explain me in detail what are they used for? In which view should the results be entered?

As far as recording is concern, you can enter results in General and Unit to be inspected in both views. while summarized wil give you the detials of results you have entered against inspection lot and Indicator will demonstrate which actions you have taken against your results in inpection lot.

Single result recording valuation based on min and max values

Our client requirement is as follows:
While entering the single results recording the system should not calculate the average , we need the system should valuate based on the Minimum and Maximum values in result entry. Is it possible?. can anyone explain in details.

This is a standard SAP functionality available in SAP
As
Variable Inspection by S-Method
If you set this indicator, you define the valuation mode for the variable inspection according to the s-method (ISO 3951).
For a sampling procedure with this valuation mode, valuation occurs using a sampling plan consisting of sample size and k-factor. A quality score is calculated from the measured values of a sample and compared with the k-factor.
Now you want Both limits should come into picture while valuating then Check valuation Rule :31 -Variable insp. s-Method (two limits)
so select the Valuation mode : 310- Variable insp. s-Method (two limits) in sampling procedure.
I hope this will add some value.

How do I use LabVIEW to control and vary the voltage on my Agilent Power Supply and simultaneously record temp from 1 DMM and voltage from another DMM?

I am using an Agilent Power Supply to apply a voltage to a
thermistor to heat an Al chassis. I want to use LabVIEW to tell
the power supply to apply 5V for 10 minutes, then step to 7V for 10
minutes, etc. I am completely new to LabVIEW, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
In addition to that, I want to place a type J thermocouple onto the Al
surface and use a Keithley 2000 DMM to monitor the temperature (it has
a built in conversion from V to Temp for type J). I will also be
using another Kelthley 2000 DMM to record the output voltage of a new
uncalibrated thermocouple. I would like to collect the output
voltage for this uncalibrated thermocouple and the temperature reading
from the type J simultaneously. How should I go about doing this
in LabVIEW? I will be using version 6.1. The power supply
and DMMs will be connected to a PC using GPIB.
Again any suggestions would be greatly appreciated- I have no idea
where to begin on such a project. I have taught myself how to
make a basic VI- converting temp in oC to oF, but that is as far
as my knowledge goes.

What you want to do should be fairly straightward and a good way to learn labview.
First off, if you haven't already, I would download the drivers for the Keithley and Agilent instruments. I found the keithley drivers at the link below. You will need to find the labview drivers for the Agilent PS at their website. Drivers are the VI's you will use in your program to control the insturments.

Exits for Results recording and UD

Hi,
I added few Zfields in QA01 screen using exit QPL10004 and they are not mandatory in create mode.
now my requirement is when from QA32 user selects that lot and click on UD or Results recording.
system should throw error message if Zfields are not maintained in QA01.
What are the exits that trigger ???

QM-result recording after doing usage dcision and stock posting.

HI gurus,
My client is steel manufacturing industry.The requirement of client is that, after doing usage decision and stock posting they want to do result recording.Thy want it like this because in case of urgency they pass the material and afterward they do the result recording.Is such a scenario is possible in standard sap.If yes pls. provide me the solution.

I wouls suggest you look at Jan's suggestion. Setting everything as LT characteristics is
1) not a good quality practice
2) you would still have to manually to the UD I believe, auto UD won't work. So if you have to manually process the lot anyway, you may as well just make the sotck posting and leave the lot open for results recording.

Hi,
You can do the result recording on one screen through T code -QE51N.Here select Inspection Lot Number page,give the required input & execute.
On next screen you will find the list of Inspection lots select one by one,put the results & do UD.
You can also do Result recording forcefully by selecting all characteristics & click on force.

An MIC is accept and reject at the same during result recording

Hi,
If I have a checked sign on both of the Acceptance checkbox and Rejection checkbox (status:2, and valuation: yellow thunder sign icon) during QE51N, what does it mean in term of result recording, defect, and notification, and usage decision?
I am stuck as I don't know how to treat this MIC.

Hi Herment,
There is no such message you mention and the system allow me to save with status 2. However, the valuation field display a Yellow Lightning icon.
Now that I press the lock button (i.e. close) and clicked the save button, the system does not allow me to make any changes to this MIC, and which means there are two check sign on the Accept and Reject checkboxes now.
How to deal with it?
