  • MM Configuration for integration with SAP SNC

    Hi,
I need to make MM configuration required to support PO collaboration and SMI process integrating with SAP SNC.
ANy kind of information would be very much helpdull
    Thanks
    Vikas

    Hi Vikas,
MM configuration for PO collaboration is depend upon the your requirements. e.g. You want to upload the confirmations send by the supplier from SNC web UI to your R/3 system you have to use confirmation control key while creating PO in R/3 and make corresponding supplier confirmation control either optional or mandatory in SNC configuration. Default provided by SAP is optional.
Remember supplier can create confirmations only if ther either optional or mandatory.

  • SAP SNC: Invoice Collaboration

    Scenario:
The vendor creates a paper invoice, scans it and sends it to the customer. The customer scans it and using softwares like Readsoft/Opentext posts it in SAP ERP.
    Question:
Can SNC possibly have a role here? How will SNC work with paper invoice? Can Readsoft/Opentext be eliminated without eliminating paper invoice?
    Rgds
    Alok Srivastava

    Hi Alok,
Supplier can use SNC invoice collaboration if they want to use if they don't want to use then Supplier can use C-folder functionality with SNC integration in which they can upload scan copy of invoice.
SAP cFolders is an optional application that you can install and use together with SAP SNC. For more information about the integration of cFolders and SAP SNC, see the SAP SNC documentation. For more information about SAP cFolders functions, see the SAP cFolders documentation on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com then go to   SAP Business Suite then go to   SAP Project and Portfolio Mgmt  then go to  SAP cProject Suite  .
Let me know for any clarification.
    Thanks,

  • SAP SNC Supplier Network Collaboration integration with SAP ERP via BizTalk - experiences?

    Hello,
had anybody experience in integration of SAP SNC Supplier Network  Collaboration with SAP ERP via BizTalk Server?
Versions: SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp5 SPS11, SAP SNC  current version (7.0?)
We will have to integrate following processes:
Master Data integration, PO Purchase Order, Forecast, SMI Supplier Managed Inventory
Usually SAP takes an SAP PI middleware for this, where the full implementation can be downloaded from the SAP marketplace, but we want to avoid having an additional Integration Platform with maintenance etc.
Are there experiences, success stories, pitfalls, issues to be known, recommendations, known efforts in this forum?
    Thanks in advance.

  • An issue using the COM components supplied with SAP GUI 6.2 or 6.4

We are having an issue using the COM components supplied with SAP GUI 6.2 or 6.4.  We used to have SAP 4.6c and now we have 5.0.  When we were on 4.6c, we used these COM components to logon and execute RFC calls and we had much success.  Now that we are on 5.0, we can’t seem to instance any SAP functions that have something to do with SAP Workflow.  We have experienced this problem when using VB6 or .NET, but our existing code that always worked is in VB 6.0.
    SAP Components used:
    o     SAP Logon Control
    o     SAP Function Control
    o     Librfc32.dll
o     Other supporting C DLLs and/or COM object supplied with the SAP GUI installation.
For example, if we want to call the RFC ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT, this code fails in VB6 when the “Set objworkflow = objFuncCtrl.Add(strFunction)” line of code executes.  Instead of returning an instance of the object ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT function, no object is created.  In 6.2, SAP raises no errors, but the object we are trying to create is still “Nothing”.  If we use 6.4, SAP raises an error “SAP data type not supported” via a message box and then the object is still = Nothing.  Interestingly enough, the 6.2 GUI COM controls don’t display the error dialog.  The message box that is shown comes from the SAP Function COM Object "SAP.Functions" (wdtfuncs.ocx).
Now, what is interesting is if we use the same code to call a standard function or custom function that doesn’t have anything to do with SAP Workflow, then the code works fine.  Again, all of our code used to work just fine on an SAP 4.6 system.
Here is the code that fails:
'SAP Logon control - object for creating connections to an SAP system
        Dim objSAPLogonCtrl As Object
        'SAP connection object
        Dim objConnection As Object
'Object that will represent the SAP function called
        Dim objSAP As Object
'SAP function control object - object factory for creating other SAP function objects
        Dim objFuncCtrl As Object
'Create instance of an SAP logon conrol
        Set objSAPLogonCtrl = CreateObject("SAP.Logoncontrol.1")
        'Create a connection object
        Set objConnection = objSAPLogonCtrl.NewConnection
        'Define connecion parameters
        objConnection.ApplicationServer = "sapvm"
        objConnection.SystemNumber = "00"
        objConnection.Client = "800"
        objConnection.User = "iissap"
        objConnection.Password = "tstadm"
        objConnection.Language = "E"
        objConnection.TraceLevel = 10
'call the logon method of the connection object
If objConnection.Logon(0, True) = False Then
            MsgBox Error
            Exit Sub
        End If
'Create an instance of the SAP Function control object
        Set objFuncCtrl = CreateObject("SAP.Functions")
'Set the function control connection object
        Set objFuncCtrl.Connection = objConnection
'Function name to be generated and called
        Dim strFunction As String
        strFunction = <b>"ARCHIV_PROCESS_RFCINPUT"</b>
'Create an instance of the function defined in strFunction
        Set objworkflow = objFuncCtrl.Add(strFunction)
        If objworkflow Is Nothing Then
MsgBox "Could not create object " & strFunction
        Else
MsgBox strFunction & " object created."
        End If
If anyone has seen anything like this or has any ideas, please help!

  • Supplier collaboration with SNC

    Hi Gurus,
We intend to use Supplier collaboration with SNC, where plant will share component plan with supplier and supplier will comeback with constrained component plan and based on which plant will modify production plan.
These are the steps we have done:-
    1) Created BP as Organization for Plant and Supplier
    2) Created BP as person and assigned to plant and supplier respectively
    3) Extended product to the supplier and created TLane
    4) We are able to login into web portal for supplier view with login and password maintained.
    issue are:-
    1) We understand that, component forecast will come from APO and it will come to as demand. If we see Demand Tab and look at Order Forecast Monitor - > Order forecast details, it asks for selection of SKU and Location. If we select our SKU and vendor Location created, it says Invalid Selection......Not sure if we have missed anything.
    2) When vendor will confirm the plan, which key figure he will modify?? which Tab we have to refer.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    thanks,
    jaideep

    Hi Gurus,
Yes, the OSS helps and we are able to see product location in the Order Forecast details screen.
We are checking Key figure " Supplier Planned Receipt" which supplier will use to modify his plan against customer requirement.
Wondering this key figure is Non Editable for our case....then how supplier will enter his constraint plan?? Any help
Are we missing any customization to make key figures editable/non editable like Planning Book in standard APO?? plz help

  • Business scenarios in SAP SNC and aplication

    Hi experts,
Looking for informatios about SAP SNCi in SAP web site, I found some documents and one that show the business process in SAP SNC and industry tthat are recomended.
I would like to know what are the reason to use the business scenarios with this specifc industries?
    Supplier Managed Inventory  - Automotive
    Release Processing  - Automotive
    Web-Based Supplier Kanban  - Automotive
Web-Based Supplier Kanban with MRP  - Automotive
    Responsive Replenishment  - Consumer Products
Supply Network Inventory  - High Tech
Contract Manufacturing Procurement  - High Tech
Work Order Collaboration  - High Tech
    Thanks
    Nilson

    Hi Nilson,
The business processes mentioned can be used for any industry. There is not restriction as such.
These business processes are more relevant for those industry.
e.g. Outsourced Manufacturing / WO Collaboration is extensively used by High-Tech companies. Even the recent enhancement requirements have come from High-Tech companies.
Similarly, Kanban / SMI is extensively used by Automotive. But SMI is also popular with High-Tech.
CP industry is biggest consumer of Responsive Replenishment process.

  • Integrating FIM with SAP using web services connector

    Hi
I am implementing the FIM web services connector to integrate with SAP. The MS connector config guide for SAP documentation seems to me missing some content or at least I think it might be written for an earlier version of
SAP than the version we are working with(different screenshots, options, etc). The version of SAP we have implemented is EHP6 for SAP ERP6 which I believe translates to ECC6.
SAP web services have been configured and FIM performs successful discovery of the wsdl endpoint and BAPI operations as expected. Our issue is that FIM fails to run a full import. From the digging around web service config and error logs two observations comes
    out:
    1. FIM Full Import workflow does not render correctly through the web service configuration tool and complains of a duplicate attribute "xml:space is a duplicate attribute on line on line 424 on position 103". Review of the wsconfig generated by the
webservice config tool points to an variable supplied to a construct the query to a BAPI of HR infotype 0006. Extract below:
    ...<InArgument x:TypeArguments="d:BAPIP0006L" xml:space="preserve">[If(Not IsNothing(addressInfo) AndAlso Not IsNothing(addressInfo.item), addressInfo.item, Enumerable.Empty(Of BAPIP0006L)()).
    OrderByDescending(Function(a) DateTime.ParseExact(a.VALIDBEGIN, dataSourceDateFormatValue, Nothing)).
    ThenByDescending(Function(a) Integer.Parse(a.RECORDNR)).FirstOrDefault()]</InArgument>...
I can only guess that it means the query should keep the spaces within the string it passes to SAP but this is where my understanding stops.
    2. SAP returns errors about not implementing a BAPI EMPLOYEE_GETDATA function which is not part of the exposed BAPI operations. Well the obvious solution to this would be expose this missing operation (which is undocumented in MS config guide) however this
BAPI is a core requirement to retrieve person information. I would be hugely surprised if this operation was not factored into the config. This makes me think that to understand this better I need to resolve issue 1 first and get the rendering sorted first.
Has anyone come across the above issues with a recent implementation with this connector? Or help point me in the right direction?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
    thanks!!

    Hi Joe,
you most probably missed the sentence "Add the required BAPI’s in the function group and select those required BAPI’s and click continue." in the "Connector for SAP.docx" document on page 8. In other words your webservice does not provide the required
    BAPIs.
In the "DefaultSAPECC_6.wsconfig" the workflows for import and export require specific BAPIs.
Also make sure that your Service Definition has got the same name as in the documentation and the workflow template.
I was fighting with this for the last 4 days but in the end got it working.
    Hope this helps

  • Integration SUS with SAP Invoice Management

    Hi,
We are implementing the SUS portal (Supplier Self-Service) of SRM, together with SAP Invoice Management by OpenText. When you create an invoice in the SUS portal, it is send to the backend (ECC) as an IDoc of type INVOIC01.
We can read this IDoc into SAP Invoice Management (SIM), through the IDoc interface, for which we have mapped the data fields in the configuration of SIM. This works fine for most of the fields, but we have difficulties with two fields.
The SUS portal seems to put the ISO code of the unit of measurement (UOM) in the IDoc, but SIM expects the internal SAP UOM code. Similarly, the Service Entry Sheet number in the IDoc is only the external reference number, and not the internal SES number (which SIM needs).
Is there any way to configure these fields (either in SUS or SIM), without having to make a conversion function module? I ask this question, because my client is really hesitant when requesting to make a development....
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions that you make!
    Kind regards, Paul

    Hi Paul,
If there is no way to change it in SUS (which I don't know as I don't know SUS), then I don't think there is an option other than using a own development for the conversion. Either using a conversion function module or using a custom business rule which does the conversion.
Do you use the standard delivered function module /OPT/DP_INBOUND_IDOC_PROC as the processing FM? If not, maybe you could do the conversion in the processing FM (provided you already use a custom processor).
    Regards,
    Martin

  • Supplier collaboration with contract management

    Hi All,
is there any functionality available in SRM to allow collaboration with suppliers for the contract management functionality within SRM?
I thinking of any possible integration via SUS?
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
Use of cFolders can be one of the option, which version you are working on.
SRM supports integration with SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) cFolders 2.0 or higher. Once SAP PLM cFolders has been installed, purchasers can create a folder there to store information and share it with potential suppliers.

  • SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out

    Friends,
SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out when user trying to pull data using customer location
What are the cleanup activites we can do to improve the overall SNC performance ?
We did open OSS message but so far no reply from SAP , Is there any one faced performance issue ?
User/vendor is complaining about slowness , query is standard SAP and its taking more time  .(table - /LIME/NTREE) , It looks like number of data are huge causing this problem related to LIME/NTREE table. What are the options to improve the performance ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Hanuman Choudhary

    hi Team,
Pls . note the advise from SAP below, IS there any have experiance of archiveing /LIME records ?
Please advise how to start & what the steps in archiving ?
    Thanks in advance
I had a look at the DCM query performance in PH1 system and figured out
that most of the time is spent at the LIME layer of database. The
following LIME tables are having far too many entries and is causing
the bottleneck during the query execution.
    /LIME/NLOG_QUAN - 38,165,467
    /LIME/PN_ITEM - 19,116,518
    /LIME/PN_ITEM_TB - 19,154,124
These tables are storing the historical information about LIME(stock)
updates. Since these table grow with each change/update of stock
information, it will slow down the performance of the system over a
period of time. And to avoid the slow responses, the tables should
ideally be archived on a periodic basis to keep the data volume as
minimal as possible. You may have to discuss with the Business to
determine the number of days of LIME record you would want to retain
in the system. I would strongly recommend you to consider the LIME
archival retaining the minimum days (<=60 days) of historical
information. You can find more information about the Lime Archival
    in the Sap Help link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/44/2a83121dde23d1e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm.
Kindly get in touch with your BASIS consultant for the LIME archival.
The application performance should definitely improve after the LIME
archival. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me in case you
require any further clarification in this regards.

  • Supplier Qualification with ERP

    Dear experts,
I've set up the supplier qualification process. So fas so good.
I'm able to accept a supplier in "Supplier Preselection"
I want to transfer this supplier to the ECC system next but the transaction to do so is not there.
I have assigned the Role: /SAPSRM/SUS_ROS_PROCESSOR to my user and I can only see the transaction Pre-Select Supplier
According to the documentation the following transactions should be included to the workset for this role:
    Transfer Supplier
    Preselect Suppliers
    Supplier Monitor
But I can not see the transactions Transfer Supplier and Supplier Monitor.
    Am I missing something?

    Hello Nikhil,
    Thanks for your reply.
The Strategic Purchaser role is also assigned.
I may be wrong but isn't the scenario you are describing Supplier Qualification with SRM server?
Look at the following link. There you can see a second scenario called Supplier Qualification with ERP.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/en/45/efc057348a3112e10000000a1553f7/content.htm
THat scenario describes a process where you can transfer the supplier manually to the ERP system through XI.
Indeed there is a new functionality in EhP1 to automatically transfer the accepted supplier to ECC.
    Also check http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/en/f4/1b962bda07450b9076bb66a7d42fa7/frameset.htm
Here you can see the worksets for this role.
I'm a bit confused and hope you can help me out.
    Kind regards

  • Possible fonctionalities with SAP MM

    Hello
Could you confirm that with SAP MM I can deal with automatic creation of purchase orders from a flat file (with Idocs or BAPI solutions) and that the creation of the purchase order can generate an EDI message to send the order to the supplier ?
I think that it is possible only with MM and that SRM is not required for these functions ?
    Thank you

    Hello Maxime,
Yes you can create purchase order from flat file with IDoc/ EDI,
Check out the FAQs on Purchasing EDI.

  • Using Java Web Dynpro iViews to integrate with SAP MDM

    Hi,
I have already SAP MDM 5.5 supplied iViews with Enterprise Portal.
These include itemDetail iView, ResultSet iView, PicklistSearch, Hiearchy Search.
Now, I am integrating Java Web Dynpro iViews with SAP MDM.
When adding the fields using object of ResultSetDefinition Class, should we use MDM Table Name or MDM Table Name Code/MDM Field Name or MDM Field Code?
I think we should use the CODE as the name as it does not contains any space while working with Java API.
    Regards
    Kaushik Banerjee

    Hi Kaushik ,
Yes you should use the Field and Table CODE when integrating MDM with any other system using API either Java, Abap or Com api.
Actually this is one of the main use of the code in MDM .In API.
    Hope It Helped
    Thanks & Regards

  • To start with SAP BI/BW

    Hello!
I would like to get familiar with practical part of SAP BI/BW.
I went through course materials BW305 and BW310
I also already completed simple example s. bellow

Can some one recommend some other practical studies/examples?
Also other blogs/tutorials/documentation will be very appreciated.
    Thank you very much!

    Thom

    Hi Thom Heinemann  ,
The following websites containing PDF & PPT docs on BI will gain u confidence :
What is a BW datasource? What is meant by maintaining a datasource?
A BW datasource is a structure which is created in the source system and replicated to the BW system. Maintaining a datasource in a source system is doing any changes related to the datasource. It could be adding/deleting fields or checking the flags in the datasource like the hide and selection flag. Also, if the datasource is provided in the LO Cockpit, changes can be made there too depending on how the extraction of data is ...

An InfoCube describes a self-contained dataset (from the reporting view), for example, for a business-oriented area. This dataset can be evaluated with the BEx query. An InfoCube is a set of relational tables that are created in accordance with the star schema: a large fact table in the center, with several dimension tables surrounding it.
In its esence, Infocube is a data container. Data containers are used as a basis for analysis and reporting processes in SAP BW. Infocubes in SAP BW serve exactly this purpose. Infocubes in SAP consist of Key figures and characteristics. You can find some detailed information on key figures here. Simply speaking, infocube is any repository which contains data. Moving on to the types of infocubes. In SAP BW, there are basically two classes of infocubes. These are:
Basic Infocubes - These are also called as physical infocubes.
Remote Infocubes - These are also called as virtual infocubes.
The basic difference between the above two types of infocubes is that basic infocubes are physically stored in the same SAP BW system as their meta data description. Remote infocubes are stored on a third party custom SAP BW. Both the above types of BW infocubes consist of key figures and characteristics. These characteristics in turn are divided into 16 dimensions. More on that in another post.

    Extract Structure
In the extract structure, data from a DataSource is staged in the source system. The extract structure contains the amount of fields that are offered by an extractor in the source system for the data loading process. You can edit and enhance DataSource extract structures in the source system. To do this, in the BW Administrator Workbench choose Goto à Modeling à Source Systems à Your Source System à Context Menu (right mouse click) à Customizing Extractors à Subsequent Processing of DataSources.
    Transfer Structure
The transfer structure is the structure in which the data is transported from the source system into the SAP Business Information Warehouse. It provides a selection of the extract structure fields for the source system.
    Use
The transfer structure provides BW with all the source system information available for a business process.
An InfoSource in BW requires at least one DataSource for data extraction. DataSource data that logically belongs together is staged in an extract structure in an SAP source system.
In the transfer structure maintenance, you determine which extract structure fields are transferred to the BW. When you activate the transfer rules in BW, an identical transfer structure for BW is created in the source system from the extractor structure.
This data is transferred 1:1 from the transfer structure of the source system into the BW transfer structure, and is then transferred into the BW communication structure using the transfer rules.
A transfer structure always refers to a DataSource from a source system and an InfoSource in BW.
You get to the maintenance of the transfer structure using the InfoSource tree of the Administrator Workbench. The context menu of the source system belonging to an InfoSource provides you with the maintenance marker using the function Maintain Transfer Rules.
This website gives all definitions of Info object, infocube, infosource, datasource, commn structure, extract structure ..etc..

    SAP Business Information Warehouse
SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) is the name of the Business Intelligence, analytical, reporting and Data Warehousing (DW) solution which is one of the major enterprise software applications produced by SAP AG. It was originally named SAP BIW, (Business Information Warehouse), but is now known as "SAP NetWeaver BI".
SAP BW consists among other things of components for data management (Data Warehousing Workbench), extensive data modeling capabilities, an embedded analytical engine, a suite of rich front-end analytical tools refererred to as Business Explorer (BEx), and operational tools used for importing the most current transactional data into the system. It may be helpful to consider layers that make up the structure of SAP's BI solution:
Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) layer - responsible for extracting data from a specific source, applying transformation rules, and loading it into SAP BW system.
Data warehouse area - responsible for storing the information in various types of structures, including multidimensional structures called InfoCubes.
Reporting - responsible for accessing the information in data warehouse area and presenting it in a user-friendly manner to the analyst or business user.
Planning - Provides capabilities for the user to run simulations and perform tasks such as budget calculations.
SAP's BI application is a very pervasively employed data warehouse / analytical enterprise software solution, often utilized heavily by companies that essentially run their business on SAP operational systems such as SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ERP, traditionally known as SAP R/3). SAP's BI solution contains a large number of predefined "extractors", a very significant amount of pre-defined business content in the form of InfoCubes, master data (i.e. objects representing the entity for "Customer", or "Material"), authorization roles, query views and reports all delivered in the software by SAP. Some of the significant benefits of this approach include the ability to leverage SAP's substantial business knowledge from many years of developing extremely sophisticated software systems for the world's largest companies, typically shortening project development cycles in the process. The pre-defined business content can be modified to meet an organization's specific requirements, while at the same time taking advantage of general aspects of these delivered data models and reports that are somewhat foundational and have broad application in business, government, and education.
SAP BW is now part of a suite of SAP applications called SAP NetWeaver. Other components of SAP NetWeaver include SAP Enterprise Portal (EP, called SAP NetWeaver Portal as of Release 7.0), Web Application Server (WAS), SAP Process Integration (PI, or previously XI, i.e. eXchange Infrastructure) and Master Data Management (MDM).
The 7.0 version of SAP BW was released in June 2006 as part of the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (aka 2004s). This new release includes many new features, such as next-generation reporting and analytical features, major data warehousing enhancements, and possibility to use innovative techology for query performance optimization called "BI Accelerator". BI Accelerator (or BIa) comes as an external applicance, i.e. complete hardware with pre-installed software. BIa requires separate licence fee.
From SAP NetWeaver 7.0 on, the term SAP BW is obsolete, and instead it is referred simply as "SAP NetWeaver BI" - i.e. "SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI".
According to SAP, more than 12,000 installations of SAP's BI solution exist.
SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) is SAP´s Data Warehouse solution. It has been specially developed to allow you to gather and analyze all kinds of statistical information in the best possible way.
The SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) is a core element of mySAP.com. SAP BW is an enterprise-wide information hub that enables data analysis from R/3 and other business application, including external data sources such as databases and the Internet. SAP BW also offers easy integration with other mySAP solutions, such as mySAP Supply Chain
Management (mySAP SCM), mySAP Strategic Enterprise Management (mySAP SEM), and mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM).
SAP BW is a comprehensive end-to-end data warehouse solution with optimized structures for reporting and analysis. To help knowledge workers quickly mine an enterpriseu2019s business data, SAP BW is equipped with preconfigured information models and reports, as well as automatic data extraction and loading methods.
With an easy-to-use Microsoft Excel-based user interface, you can create, format, and analyze reports, and publish those reports to the web. Built for high performance, SAP BW resides on its own dedicated server. Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and reporting activities are therefore separated, and system performance is not compromised.
