I am looking for some important pre-steps/Knowledge , which i need to understand for implementing the SAP SNC at customer end.
I have got a theoretical knowlege of all the business process in sap SNC and also i have gone thru the SAP SNC Config guide.
Please suggest!.

Hi Xavier,
SNC integration with XI has predefined mappings. So ask your basis guys to download the XI content for SNC using with PI. Once they deployed you will have a builtin predefined content in XI. Within the predefined content mostly they all are xsl mappings.
If your requirement is with the standard idocs then you can use them directly. Else if their is customization they you may need to change the mappings according to your requirements.

SAP SNC Supplier Network Collaboration integration with SAP ERP via BizTalk - experiences?

Hello,
had anybody experience in integration of SAP SNC Supplier Network Collaboration with SAP ERP via BizTalk Server?
Versions: SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp5 SPS11, SAP SNC current version (7.0?)
We will have to integrate following processes:
Master Data integration, PO Purchase Order, Forecast, SMI Supplier Managed Inventory
Usually SAP takes an SAP PI middleware for this, where the full implementation can be downloaded from the SAP marketplace, but we want to avoid having an additional Integration Platform with maintenance etc.
Are there experiences, success stories, pitfalls, issues to be known, recommendations, known efforts in this forum?

Supplier Network Collaboration: ICH-ASN Externally created ASN through SNC

Hi,
Has anyone configured an externally generated ASN (coming from supplier) going to SNC (ICH) and then directly routed the ASN to customer's backend system (ECC5.0)? If so, could you please share the details of configuration? Is SAP Note 944125 the only configurtion needed in SNC?
If I map the incoming supplier's ASN (XML message) to the message DespatchDeliveryNotification (interface: DespatchDeliveryNotification_In), will the above configuration (SAP note) will route the ASN to backend system?

Hi Paul,
When you send to SNC you will use DespatchedDeliveryNotification_in and SNC will validate whether it is valid asn or not(for validation certain steps are there functional consultant should be able to help on this). If yes then it will trigger the xml document. You can use DESADV.DELVRY05 idoc to post to sap.

Implementing 2-step authentication in WCC

Hi,
Has anyone tried implementing 2-step/ multi-factor authentication for WebCenter?
I'm looking for steps to be followed to implement the same.

Authentication for WCC 11g is handled by Oracle Platform Security Services which defaults to the Oracle WebLogic default authenticator which authenticates against the embedded LDAP.
At WLS level you can configure multiple authN providers and kind of chain them through the JAAS Control Flag. More on the WLS authentication providers - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13707/atn.htm#SECMG169
You might want to examine the list of pre-built AuthN providers and see if they meet your requirements for 2-step authentication.
If you don't find proper providers, you should look in the Oracle IdM portfolio as Jiri suggested.

Condition Pre step in pricing- condition not determined

Hi,
Iam having an issue in my system. There is a condition type ZTFR (output tax condition) which is not determined in sales order. The access seq with this condition is MWST. There are two accesses in this mwst seq as follows
access seq=mwst
first access 06--departure country/dest country/material group--
standard requirement 8 is assigned to this access
2nd access 10-- departure country/dest country----
standard requirement 8 is assigned to this access
I have seen the standard req 8. The code for include LV61A008( req 8) consists of two parts--one pre step and the other normal exprt/import check...... the pre-step part checks that departure/destinaton country is not nil and both are not equal. the 2nd part checks the same for dept/dest country but also checks whether vat of customer is maintained or not and european tax indicator is set.
In my case only vat no is not maintained and all other conditions like dept ctry/dest ctry amd EU indicators are mainatined both for dept/dest country.
the issue is the condition ZTFR is not determined in sales order. Pls note that there is no VAt no maaintained in customer masterv since our customer does not have the same.
system says the follwowing on doing pricing analysis.
1) access 6 not made since req 8 not met. may be because vat no not maintained as wriiten in requirment 8
2) access 10 not made since condition record not found----
the system also gives message that "No condition record was found in the condition preliminary step for this condition using the document data"........... in this Iam not able to understand why the system has not given a message during pricing analysis that requirement not met. Rather the system said that no condition record found for preliminary step ??
what is meant by condition pre step ? and what is happening ? in the first access, system says req 8 not met whereas in 2nd access record not found but issue is same requiement 8 is assigned to acess 6 and access 10.

R/3(IDOC) ------ XI ----- Supplier Network

We are planning to talk to our Supplier Network from two Different R/3 Systems say R1 and R2.
The documents that we are expecting from supplier Network are Invoice and Advance Shipping Notice(ASN).
R/3(IDOC) <------ XI <<<---Firewall-<<<< Supplier Network
The Supplier is going to Place the Documents (Invoice and ASN) for the two R/3 systems outside the Firewall. Now somehow XI need to bring the Documents and need to understand the Kind of Document and then need to Process them and then need to send to the either R1 or R2 Systems.
Could some one tell me how this is possible? Whats the approach I need to follow for the above scenario?

Assuming hte suppliers are placing files
Option1
1. Run a shell script to move data from suppliers network to your network. This can either be done by Push method wherein supplier is pushing the data to your network. Or you are polling a certain directary and getting the data whenever a file is placed.
Once the file is in your directory, XI can pick the file using file adapter and post data using RFC/IDoc/ABAP Proxy.
2. The File adapter is polling at suppliers network and picking the data. This depends on whether you have access to the Directory out there and then file is porcessed using Adapters mentioned above.
Also, There must be some indicator from the supplier, that is either the file naming convention or something in the header of the file from where you can determine where the file is coming in from

Modify to-call sequence name in pre-step?

Hi, I have the following problem: I have customized the "Call Sequence" step type, creating a custom step type that calls a sequence dynamically. The name of the sequence to call is represented by a step variable, which is edited in an edit substep.
This works fine.
Now I wanted to modify that step variable in a pre-step substep and found out, that obviously the step module is already "preloaded" (the to-call sequence name is evaluated) before the pre-step is executed. This results in a runtime error, something like "sequence not found".
What can I do?

you can also put the fetching of the sequence into the database procedure. if you have DB Version 11g, you can reference the sequence simply by this:
nSeq := loc_seq.nextval;in prior 11g you have to fetch it using select into from dual.

Using pre-step callbacks to setup test conditions

I am trying to setup a pre-step callback to verify test conditions and correct them if they do not match the needs of the applicable test step. I was going to assign the test conditions in the pre-expression of each test step, but unfortunately I have found that the pre-expression executes AFTER the pre-step callback. Is there any way to get around this? How can I get around this? (i.e. to assign step specific variables before executing the pre-step callback).

I have done some hacking of preconditions, and its even easier than the example above. Remember that in TestStand expressions the comma (,) separates logical expressions. But the return value of the expression is always the return value of the last expression. So if you separate two logical expressions in the preconditions with a comma, only the return value of the second one gets used as the precondition.
For instance, if you always want the step to run, you could use:
locals.myVar = 5, True
Or if you already have preconditions:
locals.myVar = 5, AllOf(RunState.Sequence.Main["ID#:"].Result.Status == "Passed", RunState.Sequence.Main["ID#:"].Result.Status == "Passed")
Also, there was some discussion of what order a step executed its actions. You can find this information in the TestStand Reference Manual in chapter 3. There is a table that lists the exact order of operations, including when the pre-step engine callback is fired.

No workitem found error in BBP_PD after Implementing N-Step BADI

Hi Gurus,
We have implemented N-Step BADI BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI For Approvals Levels in SRM.
Work flow is triggering correctly and workitem is sent at all the levels. But in transaction code BBP_PD the status of the workitem is not updating showing the error message "NO WORKITEM FOUND" also status is not updating in BBP_PD.
Please reply with your suggestions.

Hello,
Message should be raised within BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI.
This badi would check if there is any approver available (you can use a FM BBP_WFL_DIN_APPR_CONTAINER_GET and take the return parameter ET_APPROVAL_AGENTS).
If it is empty, you could raise a message informing that no approver exists.

Getting Sequence object from pre-step substep of Sequence Call based step type

How to obtain reference to Sequence object from within pre-step substep of Sequence Call based custom step type?
Given: new custom step type which based on NI Sequence Call step type. There is Pre-Step substep exist for this step type.
How to get reference to Sequence object representing Sequence which will run?
Although there is possible to examine SequenceAdapter and SequenceCallModule properties, it seems redundant since module (Sequence) is already loaded by TestStand ("NI TestStand Reference Manual. Table 3-4. Order of Actions that a Step Performs" Action #6, while my code is running as Action #13).

Could you explain what you want to do ?
Why do you want to get the sequence object within a pre-step substep ?
I give you some informations but I don't know if it's the better way to do what you want (because I don't know what you want to do with the sequence object).
If the substep uses the ActiveX adapter :
You can get the sequence object but you should save the object reference in a StationGlobals variable.
And you should release the object reference within your sequence when you don't need it any more.
If the substep uses another module adapter:
Get the step module, then the sequence name (module property).
Then get the sequence object by the sequence name from the sequence file.
Here are the paths to use for both methods :
Sequence Name property path : Step.Module.SeqName
Sequence Object path : RunState.SequenceFile.GetSequenceByName (seqname)
