Supplier On-boarding

Hi,
We are considering to make use of Supplier Manageent module to be used for achieving the supplier registration and supplier on boarding functionalities.
Now we have a requirement that once the vendor is created in the SAP Sourcing, this object is required to have an approval flow and on completion of the approval, the vendor data is required to be published to SAP ECC. The WF requireent is to have a parallel approval workflow with all the stake holders.
The other requirement is to consider the possibility to push the created vendor to SAP MDM for validation of the vendor data and then syndicated to other system.
Can the above requirements can be achieved in SAP Sourcing 7.0. Pointer towards this will be highly appreciated.
Rgds,
Madhan

Hi Madhan,
In Sourcing 7.0, we have added approval workflow for vendors. For parallel workflow, you would have to create a user group and use addApprover method by passing the rule(all approvers must approve). You can find more details on how to use this method in the workflow guide available on the SMP.
Once the vendor is approved, using the standard integration, the vendor can be published to ECC.
Re: publishing vendors to MDM, I believe MDM accepts csv as input file. You could develop a report in Sourcing and run the report on a periodic basis using schedule tasks and push it to MDM.
Hope this helps.

  • IMAC (Early 2006 20-inch) Power Supply, Logic Board

Has anyone had problems with the new 20inch iMac Intel Processor computer? Purchased the new iMac and in a month the compute was wouldn’t startup. Repair was diagnosed as Power Supply, Logic Board. Apple store switched out a new iMac computer after 2 weeks trying to get parts. The new iMac was plugged in a power strip protector. Now 2 weeks later the new computer is dead and Apple store is saying Power Supply and Logic Board is bad. I am not getting any power surges at the office and it is on a new power strip. Has anyone else had problems with the new iMac?

I got the same problem... I buyed it 2 days ago, plugged it yesterday and it worked. Today, I unplugged it to arrange all my connections(tv out, optical sound, printer, etc...) and it replugged it and pressed the power button and then... nothing... I was so frustrated... I switched to mac 2 month ago and I seem to keep having problems
Ne ways, I went to an apple store and I'm waiting for the diagnosis I'll post more news when I get some!

ps I'd like to add that the imac was plugged on a powerbar with surge protection.

  • Anyone else waiting on a replacement Power Supply & Logic Board from Apple?

On Dec. 26, I took my iMac G5 to my local service provider to resolve some power issues under the Repair Extension Program. They ordered the part (new power supply and logic board) from Apple that very day, yet I'm still stuck here waiting 16 days later.
Anyone else out there waiting for this part to arrive? How long should it take? Can I call Apple directly in order to get a better estimate?
    Thanks!
    1.8 GHz iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

All right, so here's the latest plot changes in the ongoing saga of my iMac G5...
I spoke with two very kind and helpful women at Apple this afternoon. Both agreed that this sort of behavior from my AASP was certainly unacceptable. I was able to lodge a formal complaint against my AASP, as well.
My particular part order was given some sort of high priority status by Apple. I was asked to call back on Friday to receive an update on the order's status.
I was also asked to send a letter to Apple's Corporate Customer Care division explaining my situation in full. I'll try to send out this letter within the next few days.
So that's where we stand right now. No computer yet, but at least SOME progress is being made.

  • G5 2.3ghz power supply removal? Do I need to remove Logic board 1st?

Power supply partially expired on my 2.3GHz G5. Have found a donor. Manual says remove logic board before power supply. But you could remove power supply with board in situ on older G5s...........any ideas?

I've heard of some trying, possibly succeeding.
However, I wouldn't want a damaged logic board with my new PSU........

  • Using a usa mac in the uk

    ok i am an idiot. i have a usa g4 desktop (digital audio) mod#m5183, 100 - 120v~/200-240v - 8a/4.5a, 50-60hz
i just brought it to the uk and plugged it in using a plug adapter but without manually switching the power switch from '110' to '230'. there was a 'crack' and a puff of smoke. i flipped the switch to '230' and tried again but it does not power up. have i fried the computer? is there something i can do (besides getting a new brain for myself)?
    G4 digital audio   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Sad to say, but you may have ruined some of the components. Some Mac power supplies have an internal fuse. You have to remove the supply & open the housing. A new fuse could solve the problem. It's also possible that your power supply is "fried", which requires a new supply. If you replace the supply, then hopefully, your processor board (& other components) is not also "fried".
To get replacement parts, besides eBay, you can join join LEM-Swap for buying & selling Mac stuff. http://lowendmac.com/lists/swap.html However, you might be better off buying a used replacement Mac for less than the cost of a new power supply, processor board & possibly RAM.
    Cheers, Tom

  • Recovering data from bad partitions

I have an iMac G5. Recently I created 3 partitions on the internal hard drive; one running the latest Tiger version (my primary volume), another running the version of Tiger straight from the disk (no updates), and one running 10.3.4.
I went out of town for a week and after returning booted up. The primary volume booted (the one running the latest version of Tiger) but I got the endless spinning wheel. After a while I shut down by holding down the power button. When I rebooted, the computer could not read any of the partitions (got a gray circle with a slash through it).
Running a hardware diagnostic turned up no malfunctions.
I managed to boot using the software restore disks that came with the computer. Using Disk Utility I erased the partition housing 10.3.4 (since all of my personal data is on the primary partition) and reinstalled the software.
    That volume boots fine now.
Disk Utility, however, can not repair the other two volumes (they appear grayed-out in the volumes list).
I ran Disk Warrior, but it hangs for a very long time when in step 5 (locating directories... I get a message "speed inhibited due to disk malfunction"... but it continues to churn away). Ran it for almost 24 hours before aborting.
I've also tried retriving my data using Data Rescue II (downloaded and run from my 10.3.4 volume), but it also gets hung up reading my bad volumes... maybe I would have better luck booting the app from a disk???
All I really want to do is retrieve my data, put it on an external drive, then wipe and zero out my internal drive and reinstall.
Any suggestions? Am I on the right track or totally lost? (I'm something of a back-end illiterate)

I would try to let DiskWarrior finish the rebuild process. DiskWarrior has been known to take up to several days to rebuild a volume that's severely damaged.
My G5 recently had a hard freeze and had to be force-shut-down. It would not power back on, and needed to have the power switch/power supply/logic board replaced. On a HD I pulled from it before sending it in for repair, I had 4 partitions. While they all mounted, some had errors that Disk Utility couldn't fix. DiskWarrior was able to rebuild them all, and during one of them, displayed the same "speed inhibited due to disk malfunction" warning you were receiving. I don't think that was a sign of any real hardware problems with the hard drive, just that the directory of that particular volume was severely damaged. After the rebuild of that partition (which did take several hours), there was a "Rescued Items" folder on the root level of the volume that contained salvaged items.
I think the results you'll get with DiskWarrior will probably be your best bet, but it may take a while for the rebuild to complete.
    Hope this helps....

  • Safari wont open/ crashes

    Hi-
I have a 1st gen g5. Two days ago I downloaded the new software updates for Itunes and Quicktime. Since then I cant open Safari or Iphoto. A couple other applications now dont work either.
When I try to open safari or Iphoto I get the crash "submit to apple a bug report" message.
My system has power supply/logic board issues that I need to get repaired/ should be under the extended warranty. Could these be related?
Also- When I click preferences-about this mac- it does a restart. This thing is acting bizarre. Could I have a virus?

"I don't know how to use the disk utility program or even understand what it does."
Save and/or quit your applications & doucuments
    Go to Applications>Utilities Folder
    Click Disk Utility
Click the Volumn (HD) that you want to check.
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button. (Don't worry about verifying)
At the bottom of window when the repairs have finished, you will see the “most important thing”:
    Permission Repairs Complete
The previliges have been repaired or completed on the selected volumn.
    Restart your computer.
**Same directions are also in the OS Mac Help Menu.**

Repairing permissions from the Tiger DVD
Boot up from your Tiger Install DVD while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
If Disk First aid is able to complete the repair now click on the "Repair permissions" button.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer.

  • Camera to pc direct with wifi

Hi and welcome to Spiceworks, I'm a bit thick, could you just clarify:
You have a wi-fi camera and you cannot see it from the PC next to it?
What make is it, I know that Samsung do their smartcams and that once associated with your home network you have to use propriety software to view it.
Are you attempting to connect directly from the PC to the camera?  The IP address of the camera would need to be in the same range as the PC and therefore would need to be on your wi-fi network.

I want to connect a generic board camera with the supplied  wifi board attached direct to a pc.
The camera seems to be talking to the wifi as the leds are showing activity.
The pc next to it cannot find the wifi signal. The pc works on the home wifi ok.
I am sure I have missed a step in the system.  I have researched and it would appear I need to initially set it up with cables via the usb port etc.
I am sure others have  been doing this and may be able to give me a few more clues.
    Thanks, Sandy

  • Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 No Longer Available?

Great. I spend two days trying to decide what motherboard I should use which would be supported by BlackMagic DeckLink/IntensityPro. Of their short list of supported boards, I decide on a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 which has all the features needed. I get reviews of it, it's a good board, I figure out what memory to use with it.
Then I go to price it at Newegg and TigerDirect.
    Out of stock.
I do a search, only a bunch of online shops I've never heard of carry it, and they're low on stock. I don't like buying from no-name online retailers.
So now what do I do?
What Gigabyte board supercedes the UD7 (and is available) and might work with BlackMagic?
Or should I just forget about BlackMagic and use a Matrox MX02 which doesn't have ANY list of supported boards? The client has to have one or the other.
I see the ASUS P6X58D Premium which is supported by BlackMagic is still being sold. Maybe I should switch to that one, has pretty much the same specs as the Gigabyte. Which means back to the drawing board on supported hardware...sigh.

I'm pretty familiar with the GA-X58A-UD7, I have one and love it.
As you say, doing a quick check of all of the places I buy parts does indeed to indicate that they are not available any more. I'd guess that that will not change either.
Check out the GA-X58A-UD5 - it is very similar to the UD7 (if compare rev. 2 for both boards) and it's likely that if it has enough "slots" for your needs it would be equally compatible with BlackMagic's hardware.
Regarding what will supercede the UD7, my guess would be nothing really; probably their manufacturing plants are working overtime trying to get B3 (fixed) Sandy Bridge boards due to the Intel P67 SATA port fiasco. Then, they will be working later in the year to supply new boards for yet another chipset! The X58 has been around a LONG time.

  • G5 without BLUETOOTH: what do I need to do to have bluetootrh

    Dear All,
I am writing about our PowerPC G5 (2x1.8 GHz, 1.5Go DDR SDRAM).
When we bought the computer we didn't have bluetooth board (card) installed.
Does Apple supply a board to install in this MAC computer so that Bluetooth is ?
A shop mentioned a "Apple Bluetooth enabling USB key": does this exist ?
Do I need a special antenna to plug in the back of the Mac computer like the airport antenna ?
Where can I buy these in France or on internet ? What are the correct references please ?
    Thanks. Regards,
    Kevin

A shop mentioned a "Apple Bluetooth enabling USB key": does this exist ?
They probably meant a USB Bluetooth Adapter.
The only one officially recommended and supported by Apple is the D-Link DBT-120:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA22386
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TA27121
Not all third-party USB Bluetooth Adapters are fully Mac compatible, so be sure to check if you don't get a D-Link DBT-120.

  • IMac G5 pre-isight failed big time!

I have a G5 iMac 1.8 20''. My 1 year old samsung internal hard drive failed but i was lucky and i managed to save all the data. The drive it's not the original one and is still under warranty. This was the good stuff.
The bad part is that i was trying to get my imac to boot from an external clone copy of the HD but it has been giving me the same issues over and over again for some time:
If I shut it down and don't use it for a few hours It refuses to startup (unless i remove all the peripherals from the respective doors).
Then it fails to boot properly (it turns itself off after the grey apple logo loads some data and before entering the main MACOS screen).
It doesn't recognize boot partitions on external drives when holding the option key on startup.
This time, without the Failed HD inside the computer and after running the Apple Hardware Test CD that came with the computer i got the following error regarding the Logic-Board:
    **ERROR*CODE***ERROR*CODE**
    2I2C/1/1: 0x00000092
    **ERROR*CODE***ERROR*CODE**
I believe My iMac it's off the Repair/Exchange programs because i got it on October of 2004.
Can anyone confirm me that it's a power-supply / Main board issue and that the wisest thing to do is to buy a new computer?

f you got the logic board error code, it could be the power supply, but not necessarily. I don't know what those exact numbers mean, but if you don't want to buy a new machine, take yours in and have it diagnosed at an authorized Apple service place, it should cost very much, and then you can compare the costs of repair against the cost of a new machine.
Let us know what you find out.

  • HELP TO DEBUG THE PROGRAM OF AGILENT6600X

    Hello,
First let me simply introduce this program.
The horizental toggle switch is used to set the default value to the power supply.
The vertical slide switch is used to read the value from the power supply(after board boot up).
The phenomenon is when i run the vi, always pop up the indicate message"the 9v PS ID can not be recognized". The problem is why always the problem happens on the 9v PS.
I have to say this program is not so good, if anyone can give me some guidence, I'll be very appreciate. Thanks.

    PS.vi ‏44 KB

    Good morning,
Without the Agilent drivers (vi's), I could not see much about the code.   Do you only get this message with the 9V PS?
Have you tried communicating with the instrument using MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer)?  That should be the first step to make sure that communication can be achieved.  You could try a basic query like " *IDN? " and see what it returns.  It's under "Communicate With Instrument", when you look at the "Devices" list.
Also try opening the actual Agilent VI's and monitor what is being sent over the GPIB. Compare it with the others that work.  You can copy the faulty command to MAX and communicate with the instrument using the command.
    Hope this helps,
    RayR

  • Time Capsule stopped working - suggestions please

I'm now extremely unhappy about having bought a Time Capsule... after about 12 months of valuable service it has given up on me, out of warranty, and there appear to be no cost-effective repair options. I'm interested in any suggestions for either fixing the overpriced piece of *&%$ or turning it into something more useful than a square frisbee.
Brief summary of problem: it's a 1TB Time Capsule, bought in the UK in April 2008. A couple of months ago it stopped backing up in Time Machine, and won't allow connections in Airport Utility or via ethernet, though it will still act as a wireless base station if plugged into a broadband modem/router. According to the Genius Bar there's a hardware-related network problem of some kind, and there is no alternative to buying a new one (at full price) or putting it in for an out-of-warranty repair which could cost almost as much as a new box. Hmmmm. A 12 month warranty seems fair for a laptop, but for a box that I cannot open and that spends its entire life sitting on a shelf - it's ridiculous. To pay this much for something to fail so soon after so short a warranty expires, and then be told "sorry, that's just tough", really is adding insult to injury.
So: I have a useless, very expensive white brick that I need to put to good use. I am prepared to crack it open with whatever it takes, and tinker with whatever is inside - any detailed information that anyone can provide about how to troubleshoot/fix/replace/hack would be gratefully received. I don't have much of a clue about how that kinda thing (I've replaced hard drives in iPods, but that's about my limit), but I have nothing to lose so here goes... Alternatively, any information on how to launch a 3.5 pound white brick through the windows of 1 Infinite Loop all the way from central London would be handy.
    Paul

    Thanks Bob,
The disassembly link is v handy. Sounds like board swapping is the way to go, though without some kind of hardware troubleshooting guide I'm not sure of an alternative to replacing boards one by one until it starts working again.
Do you happen to know whether Apple will supply these boards to someone who's not an authorised service agent? I can see that might be a problem, and neither the service/support page nor my other enquiries have so far thrown up an answer on that?
I hear what you say about it being worth getting an estimate, but the Genius Bar advised that the repair would likely cost almost as much as a new unit, which I am simply not prepared to pay - just feels too much like extortion. Paying £329 in the first place hurt a little, but when it works the TC is fab so it's well worth it. Paying out the same again merely for a guarantee that the thing will work for another 90 days, having previously expired just out of warranty, looks like a very bad bet.
