Suppliers Migration R11 to R12

Hi everyone,
We are working on R12 Toolkit, in this we are migrating all our R11 data into R12, So could anyone give any documents(MD50's or any) or sample codes to migrate Suppliers into R12?

Hi,
the place i worked have boht R11 & R12 intances, i need to move some clients (shared service cnetre) from r11 to r12. In terms fo data i.e. AP, AR & GL. i need to find a quick way around.
My concern is
1) should i just move the Open POs if yes /no then y
2) how about customers and suppliers
3)Open & closed invoices (AR)
used to do balance tranfer, but there are some complications and is time consuming as well. Please share your thoughts and experience on above and if possible a step by step process that you know or have used

1) Identify the data source used
2) Use transaction RSA3 in BW and R/3 for this datasource.
3) Try to test data for a month say May 2007
4) If it is the same, may be you are not using proper selection conditions in the Infopackage.
If it helps even a bit, do allocate *points

Memory and No. of Processor calculation for Oracle EBS R11 and R12

Can some one please tell me …. How to calculate required Memory and No. of Processors for Oracle EBS R11 and R12.
For example we have 50 Concurrent users and 100 named (i.e. the users which are doing only Data entry.), so how to How to calculate required Memory and No. of Processors
Please guide me on the same.

Differences between R11 and R12

Hello

R11 versus R12.2

I'm working for a company that has just been through a merger and they are planning on moving all of the data from the PeopleSoft FSCM applications from one of the companies onto Oracle EBS R11 that the other company runs. We may end up upgrading to R12.2 (once available) first though as this would give us a longer support life once live.
I've seen the R11 toolset we are running now and please don't take offense to this but I am really not impressed. PeopleSoft's toolset is decades ahead of R11 in technology, even though PeopleTools are getting dated themselves. Probably a better comparison to PeopleTools would be jDeveloper.
So my question is, would the R12.2 release be purely jDeveloper or is R12.2 a mix of the older Oracle forms with very little jDeveloper, like I see in R11?
Thanks for any insight and again please don't take any offense as there is none is intended. I'm just trying to prepare for what is coming.

JavaConcurrentProgram class - R11 vs R12

Hi all
Are there any changes in the JCP classes from R11 to R12? Or can anyone point me to a document somewhere to read? Metalink only seems to have a couple of examples on how to use it which are great, but there doesn't seem to be much on the different versions of the class.

Banks Migration from R11 to R12

Hi everyone,
We want to migrate all bank information into R12, could anyone please let me know how this can be achieved?
I have some information as follows:
a) ce_bank_pub.create_bank --- To create Bank in R12
b) ce_bank_pub.create_bank_branch --- To create Bank Branch in R12
c) iby_ext_bankacct_pub.create_ext_bank_acct -- To create account in R12
Is this correct or any other interface is available? And also want to know how the extraction can be done. I mean in R11, Bank information is maintained in 3different places, so how could I consolidate this info and create one?
Please help me on this .. any documents or material.....

PO Interface migrate 11i to R12

Hi All,
We are migrating PO Standard (open) from 11i to R12.
The questions are.
1. How could we map PO_HEADERS_ALL in 11i to PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE in R12?
same with, PO_LINES_ALL and PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL in 11i to PO_LINES_INTERFACE, PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE.
2. We run used the Import Standard Purchase Orders for the interfacing, we encountered error,

Is it possible to use the same OSSO/OID for multiple R11 and R12 instances?

We have multiple R11and R12 instances that should be configured for Oracle SSO 10.1.4.3. For OID, we are still trying to decide between OID 10.1.4.3, or OID 11g. OAM is not an option because we also also need OSSO integration with Siteminder. We will also need to SSO-enable Discoverer an Forms.
I have successfully configured SSO for a single-instance EBS R12, but not for multiple instances, let alone include R11 and other components into the mix.
Do you have any special tips, guidance or lessons learned when SSO-enabling multiple instances into the same SSO/OID?

Interestingly, the article talks about using the same SSO/OID for EBS, JD Edwards, Peoplesoft multiple R11 instances, but did not mention 'multiple EBS versions'. Am I just being picky or there was a reason for it not being mentioned?In Steven Chan blog (in the same link), see the following:

Custom report migrated from 11i r12 not working

Hi,
I've a custom report developed in reports 6i in 11i env.If you run this report in 11i it's displaying data no errors. It has been migrated to R12.I tried to test this report.It's not displaying any data or errors.Is there any environment or intialization setup I need to take care of before testing this?

Migration to oracle R12

After migration process i tried to connect EBS R12 with new migrated 11g database(11.1.0.6.0).
Aftr generating the appsutil in database tier i generted xml file in apps . and tried to run autconfg.

1. appsutil.zip successfully created in the apps node. aftr that i created xml fle in db tier and run the autoconfig uing that appsutil.zip.
2. afte that i stoped all thedatabase/listner in db tier andsource the new env file and started thedb and listner.

Error : Am getting the error saying that
"Supplier record cannot be updated.Either the Employee ID/Info is incorrect or the employee associated with this supplier is terminated".
When i checked in the DB this employee is an active employee with us.

Migrate Oracle EBS R12.0.6 from 32 to 64 bit

We are running oracle e-business suite R12.0.6 in windows 2003 server 32 bit and its database in windows 2003 server 64 bit.
We are planning to migrate the apps tier to a widows 64 bit.

Migrating R11 development from win NT to HP-UX QA

hi all,
we are thinking to have a r11 instance for development and in future we will migrate it to HP-UX for QA.
i will appreciate any suggestion on this as what are the efforts and risks involved and
there will be a lot of customization too .

It's high maintenance, but it can be done.
You will need to order new software for HP.
you should be able to bring the data over no problem.
Your custom forms & reports source will have to be transfered over and regenerated, as the runtime versions will not run...
When applying patches, you will need to obtain one patch for each OS...
and.. there may be additional license fees involved for the new platform.
