Supply area assignment in Production order

Hello All,
Is there supply area available in production order? As per my understanding the storage locations ( either issue or receiving ) data is available in the BOM of the Production order. But is there any field for capturing the supply area in the production order. If so from where is this supply area picked, is it from the Default supply area in the production version maintained in Material master? And in which tab can i see this supply area information in the Production order.
Regards
Divya

Divya,
There is no field for supply area that can be found in production order. However this filed is available in Work center Master data. WC is displayed in the operation screen of production order.
Supply area (SA) is used in the context of material replenishment area and is situated directly on the shop floor. Many work centers (WC) could be located within a single SA. This field is available in WC so that location of WC can be displayed easily on a large shopfloor.
I am sure this helps. For more questions please come back.
thanks,
Ram

  • Batch no assigning during production order creation

    Sir,
We are manitaining the batch management for inut raw materials. During production order creation it is mandatory to assign the batch no for raw materials then only production order releasing is possible. In our case due to batch assignement to production order while order creation,we are facing the lot of problems like batch no not assign for full req qty and also if unavailabilty of stock for particular batch no it will come to COGI.hereby i need experts help for,
1.I want to determine the batch no during confirmation instead of order creation and also allow to release the production order even batch should be in blank.
    Kindly help
    Regards,
    PS

    Hi
For Rawmaterials why cant'n you assign Batch nos buring GR of purchase order.
Then you can do automatic batch determination during confirmation of order for mvrmt type ;261...
    This is  easy  to handle.
    Please check and come back

  • Production supply Area assigned to Mov Type 319

    Dear All,
What is happening in background if we set production supply area to mov type 319(Replenish for production).
Also please tell what is KANBAN Interface & why it is used.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Olet Malla

    Hi
Yes you do not have WM-PP interface.
With WM-PP Interface you can automate the entire process based on Production order status.
For example when you confirm the Production order system will genearate TR automatically for all the components. This can be further automated to complete the warehouse operation by changing the status of Production order.

  • Is there any function for the Batch assignment of production order

There is one function in the CO02(Production Order) which named "BATCH ASSIGNMENT".
    CO02 -> Components -> Batch assignment
But the function only can assign one material one time.
    This is very boring.
So we are planning to create a new program for it.
But I can't find any function moudle or BAPI can be used.
Could anybody give me some function moudle or BAPI for it?
    Tks

  • Assignment of Production Order to Internal Order

Can a production order be assigned to an internal order so that the manufacturing costs can be seen in the internal order?
My scenario is such that I want to manufacture sheet metal dies. The various costs involved are design costs, procurement costs and manufacturing costs. The design costs and procurement costs will be captured in the internal order. I want to capture the manufacturing cost through the production order.
Now the problem is how can I see the total of all three costs in the internal order?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Sumeet

    As I know,
You can assign internal order as a settlement receiver. Since production order itself is a cost receiver.
Why connot you use internal order instead of production order. You can do GR/GI to internal order.
One more option is you can use cost centre/internal order as a receiver, maintain a minimum price (1unit=1$)in production material and when you settle all the cost will be settled against the cost centre/internal order.

  • At the time of confirmation Costs are loaded to Production order

    Janardhan,
    1. Check whether the operation is assigned with Costing Relevancy Indicator and has a control key relevant for costing.
    2. Check whether in the routing the activity type is seen and it has some standard values maintained.

  • Batch assignment in Production order

I am using a bulk material M1 and packing it into a finished material F1. Both M1 and F1 are batch managed. The BOM of F1 calls for M1. I create a production order for F1 and assign a batch to M1 in the order. On release of order I want F1 to be assigned the same batch # as M1 in the order. Can I do this? Is there a user exit?
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
Theres an exit PPCO0007 before saving the Production Order. Perhaps you can do some tweaks there.
    Thanks,

    1) Set the customization such that, when we release the order,
       Material Staging should happen automatically.
    2) Create a Production Order and save it after releasing it.
    3) In CO02, delete the Fixed assignment for the AFS Raw
       material and save it.
i cann't able to do step 3. while changing the Production order, system donot't allow me to change the Fixed Batch(Reservation) it saying that "Material assign for WM staging" can anybody knows why so?? does i have to change any spro's setting. or does it mean that after Assignment of Material staging , i cann't change the fixed assignment?????
    please give me some idea

  • MAterial PRT Assigned to Production order

    Dear Team,
I have assigned Material PRT to production order now i want to assign counter to that material for maintenance purpose, means after certain operations mainenance people should replace that material.
How can i assign measure counter & maintenace plan to that material PRT?

    Dear Nilesh,
Material PRT is always is used in Quantities in Production.
If u want a counter for PRT then 1) Create PRT as Equipment.
                     2) Create Counter for PRT.
                     3) Create Intitial Measurement Document for Counter.
                     4) Assign Counter in PRT tab of Equipment Master Data.
                     5) Assign Equipment PRT in Production Routing of that Material.

  • Material Wrongly assigned into production order

    Dear Gurus,
I have a question to ask to you, we have a MTO production and I phase that during Production order created within a Sales Order Bom and a Routing (N) the production order correctly maintain all information less than one.
The material allocated into the Routing related to the Sales order BOM are not correctly maintain and I have lots of material allocated to the first operation as defined in SPRO.
    Why it's happen?
Into the Routing the material are allocated correctly how can I understand how to let during production order creation the material allocated into the right operation?
    Many thanks in advance
    Regards
    Gianluca

    Hi
Generally while creation of routing -CA01/CA02 materials are getting alocated .Now when u create production order -CO01 or convert planned order , that routing Counter /routing type is getting copied to PO depending on the setting you provide in OPL8 in SPRO -Order type dependenet parameters.
Now , for Sales Order BOM , you need to alocate the material in CA02.But u have option in Production Order whether the correct component is getting selected or not if you go down to Operation Overview and review that .U have the option to change the componenet even if you did not able to do at BOM level.
Here is the clue , component will be alocated to frist operation depending on the Opreation/Act Increment u have mentioned (0010,0020) in OPL8 at operation tab.But by default it will be set in 0010-frist operation.
Hope this will clear ur ideas.

  • Changing the Assignment of production order in sales order in MTO scenario.

    Hello all!
    I have following problem:
After the MRP a production order was created for a sales order. Because of the production in another plant
the production order which was created automatically had to be technically completed and a new one
    created.
If you want to check now the availability, the sales order finds nothing, because it's linked to the one,
which was technically completed. Now is the question how can I change the production order for this
sales order. (In the production order the correct sales order is connected!)
As I found out it's connected to the field AUFNR in the table VBEP. But how can I change this
field within a transaction and not in the database?!?

  • Planned orders are created when Production order is open

    Hi Everyone
We have Make order and Make to stock scenarios in the system for various products. When Production order is still open ( Fully confirmed with C015 and partially delivered), system assuming that order is completed and created a new planned order for the undelivered quantity against Sales order.
As per my knowledge MRP shouldn't create new planned orders when old production order is still incomplete. The old production order has status REL, PDLV and CNF.
Any help is appreciate and it is our production issue
    Regards
    Prasad

    Hi,
is the order marked as completely delivered on the Warehouse view? Have you reached the under delivery tolerance for this order with your partial delivery from production? If yes, this would be the reason why the system thinks that a new order is required

  • Sequencing of Production Order

    Hi,
    The scenario is as follows:
There are 10 production order which are to be executed on a particular day. User will decide the sequence in which the orders have to be taken for production.
Now the client requirement is that the system should automatically schedule the time without overlapping.
For example, The start time of production order with sequence 2 should be a finish time of production order with sequence 1, The start time of production order with sequence 3 should be a finish time of production order with sequence 2 and so on.
Can any body tell me how to handle the above scenario and how to assign the sequence number in the production order ( is there any transaction where in sequence numbers are assigned to production orders).
    Regards,
    Prasad

    Hi,
u can do the manual capcity levelling & rescheduling  the production order at cm21,
u can assign the priority number for information purpose dor production order at header view of prod order  (co02)

  • Label printing for serial numbers out of production order

    Dear PP experts,
according to the standard help description, it should be possible to
print a label with barcode for each serial number generated for production order when printing shop floor papers.
As for the standard set up, the following forms are assigned for
production order object, where none of them seems to be a label type.
    LF01 PRT overview
    LG01 Object list
    LG02 Op. control ticket
    LG03 Job Ticket
    LG04 Kanban ticket
    LK01 Pick list
    LK02 Goods issue slip
    LK03 Goods receipt list
    LP01
    LP02
    LV01 Time ticket
    LV02 Confirmation slip
    LV03 Document links
    LV04 Operation Splitting
Some of the print programs contain the ser.number information though
none of them is designed for label printing. Does anyone know
further information how is the label printing intended to work for
    serial numbers in production order?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The process of scanning barcodes and label printing :
First u have to define the output type which has tobe attached with or linked to a "form" or "Smart Form" which displays a label layout.Through ABAP coding u have to link the object (any of the mentioned by u) with the "form or smart form".
So as u scan the barcode with serial number the label gets printed at the required stage of production order processing.
This includes the pure Technical stuff of coding.
