Support for excel expression

SSRS 2005 had support for putting in expressions in VB.Net which was maintained in the excel file exported from SSRS. This feature was taken out in SSRS 2008. Is this included in 2012?

Hi Trigent,
According to the documents below, I think the function is not included in SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services. Please see them:

  • JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 Support for Dimension Express

The JDev extension for Dimension Express is not working correctly. After downloading, and successfully connecting to the repository, none of the versioning menu items are enabled? The documentation is also inconsistent with the actual procedure to connect to the repository.
We are running Dimension Express 2009 R2.

JDeveloper does not have a specific extension for Serena Dimensions Express but has a extension for Serena Dimensions. Serena Dimensions and Serena Dimensions Express are two different products that share common technology.
You may be able to use the Dimensions extensions to connect to Dimensions Express if you can. Invoke the versioning navigator View -> Team -> Version Navigator. Open the dimensions node and see if you can browse the connection you created.

  • Support for JSTL Expression Language?

Is JSF going to support Expression Language ?

    Hi mayssam,
    In this thread
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=427&thread=413603
There was a long discussion on how to make it work. I think I remember somewhere Craig posting that it was going to work but you should search the archives of this list for more info on it. If I remember correctly there were a few issues with using the EL and the expert group did not want to require JSP 2.0 or something like that.
Anyway your answer is somwhere in the archives.
    hope this helps,

  • What SharePoint 2013 doesn't support for Excel

    Hi,
it seems that SharePoint 2013 continues to don't support the same Excel features as SharePoint 2010. Fe, macro, data validation, cell editing, etc.
This is a bad notice for who use SharePoint as delivery platform for BI needs.
Now, I'd like to know what SharePoint 2013 has improved to support Excel and what new releases will support?
    Thanks

  • Problem for Report Generation Toolkit for excel 2000

    Hi all,
Now I am Developing my program with Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.0 and Labview 7.1.
In my computer I am using Excel XP, and there is not any problem. But when I build to
a exe file, and use in a computer with Excel 2000, it didn't work.
And I try to check the source file in this computer, I found that there any some connection
error. And this is caused by the active X class. As I know Excel 2000 is using Microsoft Excel
Object Library 9.0, but i cannot find it in the list of active x. So it is using Microsoft Excel Object
Library with a very old verison. So in the property node there are missing functions, such as the
UsedRange in _Worksheet in the Excel_Get_Range.vi. However, In VBA, I can find the 9.0 Library.
Is it the problem of 9.0 library? How can I solve the problem? How can I upgrade the library to 10.0?
    Thanks.
    Regard,
    Ryan

    Hi Mike,
Since my program is for all the staff in office, everyone may use it.
I cannot call the whole office to upgrade the excel to XP.
And I think Report Generation Toolkit is alway support Excel 2000,
since the old version of it is not support for Excel XP.
    Regard,
    Ryan

  • Exporting a List to Excel to use for Excel Services WebPart (not working)

Hey everyone, here's the scenario. I'm trying to export a list to excel and save it to a library. All the connections are saved. Now. I want that excel file to render as a web part. When I make a change on the list and try to refresh the data connection
I get the error below. Please help
AJ MCTS: SP 2010 Configuration MCSA: Windows 7 If you find this post useful kindly please mark it as an answer :) TY

    Hi,
I did a test as the followings:
Create a list, and add some items into it.
Export the list into a Excel file, then upload the excel file to a library.
When I opened the file via Excel service, I saw the a yellow warning about unsupported features.
Then I created a wiki page, and add Excel Web Access web part and connect the web part to the excel file.
When I refresh all data conections, nothing happened.
    From the article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms496823.aspx (they are similar with SharePoint 2013)
SharePoint lists are not supported for Excel service. So, it may cause this issue.
I suggest you click "Open in Excel" to open the file in Excel application, then refresh the data connection, and save back to SharePoint. Then after you refresh the page, the data of the Excel Web Access web part will refresh.
    Thanks,
    Wendy

  • Feature request:  keymapping support for basic GVIM style editing

Maybe this isn't the right forum, but it seems to be the only mechanism for providing
feedback. I'm getting used to the workshop environment and like a lot of the
features it provides. Tab completion of methods, parameter info, import automation
are all very nice modern features. I come from a Unix background and cut my teeth
coding on VI and GVIM off the command prompt. A feature that would really sell
me on an IDE and many that I know, would be some support for VI keymappings.
Once you are used to an editor that doesn't make you run to the mouse or the arrow
keys every time you need to move the cursor, anything less feels slow and taxing.
If basic support for "VI like" operation could be added, I think you'd find more
people like myself willing to spend time in the IDE for its other features. GVIM
offers a rich set of features, of which about 10 would suffice for most of what
    I do.
    1. insert/navigate modes so you can use ijkl instead of arrow keys.
    2. support for '/' as a search prompt as well as 'n' and 'N' to jump between
    findings.
    3. support for regular expressions on the search line
    4. support for regular expressions via a VI style substitute command {range}:s/search/replace/
    5. :w for write or "save"
    6. :e to open a file
    7. 'A' to jump to the end of a line and enter insert mode.
    8. 'D' to delete beyond the cursor to the end of the line.
    9. :line-number to jump to a line number.
    10. 'x' to delete a character and 2x for two etc...
Okay, my list goes beyond ten if I continue, but if I could perform basic editing
without having to go to the arrows or the mouse or a separate window of gvim,
    I'd be a happy customer.
    Thanks,

  • Airport Utility 6.0.0 breaks support for my Airport Express

Computer updated to Airport Utility 6.0 but that breaks support for my Airport Express.  When I try to access the Airport Express it tells me I have to download Airport Utility 5.6 - but I can't find that anywhere on the Apple sites to download!

My catch-all list of Airport 6.0 & Firmware 7.6.1 problems:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I've compiled a catch-all list of problems and changes with Airport Utility version 6.0 and FW 7.6.1. Some of the items may be relevant to this thread.
    THE PROBLEMS WITH AIRPORT UTILITY 6 AND FIRMWARE 7.6.1:
    Introduction: If you find AirPort Utility v6.0 too limiting or strange, you can ALSO install AirPort Utility v5.6, released alongside v6.0, to maintain all your previous capabilities. It works fine with both Airport g and n devices.
    PLEASE NOTE: According to Apple you must FIRST install Airport Utility v6.0 in order to access and install Firmware upgrade 7.6.1. Do that first. THEN install Airport Utility v5.6 and use it instead if you prefer. HOWEVER: Another user has informed me that they were able to use Airport Utility v5.6 to install Firmware v7.6.1 without any problems! This would mean anyone can avoid Airport Utility 6.0 entirely if they chose.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    1) According to Apple's documentation, Airport Utility version 6.0 is ONLY for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. It is NOT for 10.6 Snow Leopard. If you accidentally installed v6, you'll have to dig around in Apple - Support - Downloads for the previous relevant version for your devices and OS version. Here is the relevant page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1483
    2) The HELP for Airport Utility has been updated. When you first access it you may well be looking at the old Help. It is supposed to update itself spontaneously over the Internet. It took a couple minutes in my case. Be sure you are looking at the NEW Help before you start using it. One way to tell is that the list of help topics essentially doubles from what there used to be. Also, the very first topic in the NEW Help should read:
"Set up an AirPort device > Set up a new AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule"
    3) The HELP has some WRONG information. Here we go:
3a) There is NO "Enable Guest Network" setting. You CANNOT create a guest network or name it or give it any settings. Why this is still listed in Help, I have no idea. Why the setting is gone: This is most likely because the technology behind guest networks, WPS, has been thoroughly CRACKED in the wild. Google "WPS cracked" for lots of documentation of the situation. It won't be resolved soon.
3b) I can't find any 'Setup Assistant". Everything is now manual. This is not to say that there isn't a setup assistant that appears when you FIRST set up your Airport device. I don't know.
    4) After installing Airport Utility v6.0, there is no indication of the accompanying firmware update until you decide to run the new version. Even then, you have to click on the big icon of your Airport device and notice an 'Update' button about halfway down the popup window. You then have to assume that this button is telling you to update your firmware.
    5) After you update your Airport device's firmware, you may well discover an ERROR subwindow popping up inside Airport Utility that says:
"An error occurred while updating the firmware. -6721"
Don't panic! All you need to do is go into your Wi-Fi settings, either in your menubar or the Network preferences, and turn OFF Wi-Fi, then turn ON Wi-Fi again. This is part of a long standing bug in Lion's Wi-Fi with which I bet you are already familiar, certainly up through Lion version 10.7.2.
    6) Miscellaneous changes in Airport Utility 6:
6a) The keyboard command to manually change your Airport devices settings is GONE. You have to click the little 'Edit' button after clicking on the big icon for your device.
6b) There is no longer any summary window for your Airport device. You have to instead click on the big "Internet" icon for related data, then click on the big icon for your Airport device for local settings data.
6c) There is no longer any HELP advising users to EXPORT their settings. (The Help only talks about Import of settings). BE SURE TO EXPORT YOUR NEW SETTINGS! I did this immediately after both updates.
6d) MAC address filtering for Airport devices is GONE.
6e) All references to IPV6 anywhere are GONE. I have to assume the IPV6 settings are now entirely working and entirely automatic. Let's hope so.
6f) Signal and Noise data and graphs are GONE. Use Apple's Wi-Fi Diagnostics app instead. Apple have hidden it here in Lion:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/W-Fi Diagnostics
6g) In order to access the menu items in Airport Utility, you have to first click on the big icon for your Airport device.
--> No doubt there are other changes, oddities or bugs related to these changes. But this is what I came up with during a cursory strafing of the software.

  • [svn:fx-trunk] 9349: * Added support for using getStyle() in Mxml data binding expressions.

    Revision: 9349
    Author:   [email protected]
    Date:     2009-08-17 11:32:37 -0700 (Mon, 17 Aug 2009)
    Log Message:
Added support for using getStyle() in Mxml data binding expressions.
In addition to the existing "function return watcher" data binding
functionality, we register to listen for style related change events
when we see a function marked with [Bindable(style="true")].
UIComponent's and TextGraphicElement's styleChanged() will now
dispatch events for "getStyle()" FunctionReturnWatchers to handle.
When null or "styleName" is passed into styleChanged(), we dispatch
      an "allStylesChanged" event.
QE notes: mxunit test to follow
    Doc notes:
    Bugs: SDK-20394
Reviewer: Glenn, Pete F, Peter D
    Tests run: checkintests, mxunit databinding
Is noteworthy for integration: only if you want to start using it.
    Code-level description of changes:
      modules/compiler/src/java/flex2/compiler/as3/binding/DataBindingExtension.java
Modified generateWatcher() to do the AST equivalent of the
        WatcherSetupUtil.vm change.
      modules/compiler/src/java/flex2/compiler/as3/binding/FunctionReturnWatcher.java
Removed unused isNew variable and added isStyleWatcher variable.
Modified shouldWriteSelf() to return true if isStyleWatcher is true.
      modules/compiler/src/java/flex2/compiler/as3/binding/WatcherSetupUtil.vm
Modified writeFunctionReturnWatcher macro to add a true arg to the
FunctionReturnWatcher constructor call when isStyleWatcher() is
        true.
      modules/compiler/src/java/flex2/compiler/as3/binding/BindableFirstPassEvaluator.java
Modified evaluate(Context, MetaDataNode) to skip reporting an
error for no events when style is true.
      modules/compiler/src/java/flex2/compiler/as3/binding/DataBindingFirstPassEvaluator.java
        Replaced insideCallExpression boolean with callExpressionStack
Stack.  The "!insideCallExpression" checks were replaced with
        callExpressionStack.isEmpty().
        Modified addBindables() to handle [Bindable(style="true")].
Made argumentListStack and resetSet more strongly typed.
      frameworks/projects/framework/src/mx/core/UIComponent.as

  • SUPPORT For Essbase Excel Add in

    Good morning
When is the support for the old add in being stopped?
Does this mean all future versions will only come with Smart View?

To your second question, yes, 11.1.2.3 and onward will have Smart View only.  See Doc ID 1466700.1
I make this point every time the question comes up, but as Santy suggests, the key point is "support duration".  I have heard the (incorrect) statement  "The Classic Add-In won't be supported from January 1st 2013" too many times... ...existing versions 11.1.2.2 and earlier continue to be supported under normal lifetime support policy.  Although I can't actually remember raising a support ticket in for an Excel Add-In issue and I've been using it for nearly 15 years!
EDIT - crossed over with Santy

I am trying to hook up my Airport Express to my current network and AirPort Extreme but keep getting the same error message: "This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Any thoughts?

This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if  that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express.

  • HT1998 How can I administer a Gen 1 Airport Express from Airport Utility 6.3.2 (OS 10.9). I can see the base station but get the message: "This version of AirPort Utility doesn't support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more inform

How can I administer a Gen1 Airport Express from, my MacPro (OS 10.9, Airport Utility 6.3.2). I can see the Express in the WiFi window but from the Airport Utility I get the following message: " This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Of course there's nothing of value on the support page. Any clues anyone?

Apple has dropped support in Mavericks (10.9) of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme models that were discontinued more than six years ago.
You can still administer the older AirPort models if you have a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC.
