Support for Internet Explorer 7 for forms

Does anyone know if Internet Explorer 7 is certified for use as the browser to run forms in? If so, what versions of forms and JInitiator is it certified with?
Thanks.

IE 7 is now certified with the E-Business Suite; see:

Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning. However, flash player is installed and enabled, but HP Solution center keeps asking for enabling and doesn't let me scan.
    Any suggestion?

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @yuvalyanai
I read about the issue you are having with scanning, as you are seeing a message to enable Adobe Flash player.
To begin, I would like to know some more information:
Which operating system you are running and which printer you are working with?
How Do I Find My Model Number?
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
    Can you make copies successfully?
Can you print from your computer?
Have you tried updated Adobe Flash player?
Can you scan successfully from Microsoft Paint?
How is your printer connected to your PC, wireless, ethernet or USB?
In the meantime, try resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
I hope to hear from you, have a wonderful weekend

  • Dropping support for Internet Explorer 8,  and  Firefox 20.x or below

Starting April 30th, we will discontinue support for all Internet Explorer 8 versions and all Firefox 20 versions and below. In order to continue using Business Catalyst Admin user interface without problems, you and your clients need to upgrade to a more recent browser:
    Download Internet Explorer
    Download Safari
    Download Chrome
    Download Firefox

    Thanks for your reply Shay.
We plan to officially support IE8 with the next patch release to JDeveloper 11g - currently planned for later this year. That matches what I wrote in my initial post in this forum thread about IE8 support.
We usually only certify browsers after they officially go production. That does not really answer my question (q1) in this forum thread.
It is more like, how can I assess that Oracle will support any successor(s) of IE8 or successor(s) of any currently supported browsers for ADF 11g applications in the future? How long will Oracle support "commonly used browsers" for an ADF 11g application I build today, so how long will I be able to use that application?
How do I answer such questions for ADF 11g applications that should be deployed on the internet (where, as some extranet environments, you typically have not that much (or no) control over which browsers your users use ... although some would like to argue with that, see forum thread "ADF Faces RC browser support and browser market share")?
(By the way, do you have any feedback for the forum thread "ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8"?)

  • ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8

    hi
Working with Oracle support (in SR 7732252.994) we first reached this conclusion ...
"Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 is not a supported for the ADF Faces applications built using JDeveloper 10.1.3.5.0"
    When I subsequently asked ...
"Will there be a JDeveloper 10g release (post 10.1.3.5.0) that will support IE8 ?"
    ... the answer was ...
"Jdeveloper 10.1.3.5 is the last release in the Jdeveloper 10g branch and there will be no more releases after 10.1.3.5.
Therefore, there will be no support for IE 8 in the Jdeveloper 10g branch."
    question
(q1)What is supposed to happen to ADF 10g production applications deployed in an environment that allows little control over the browser that is used (extranet/internet)?
    many thanks

  • ADF 11g support for Internet Explorer 8 plus x

    hi
Given the current situation for ADF 10g, see forum thread "ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8" ...
at ADF 10g support for Internet Explorer 8
... I was wondering about the future browser support in ADF 11g.
(Specifically about IE8 the knownissues.html document for JDeveloper and ADF 11g (11.1.1.1.0) currently says "Internet Explorer 8 is neither supported nor certified. If you must use IE8, set the compatibility view settings in your IE8 browser to ALL. In IE8, go to the Tools menu -> Compatibility View Settings and check the last checkbox "Display All Websites In Compatibility View"." and "... IE8 support should be in the upcoming first patch set. ..." Re: PanelStretchLayout on IE8.)
    question
(q1) What is the life expectancy of applications built with ADF (Faces) 11g in regard to their future browser support?
    many thanks

  • Help for Internet Explorer 11

Where do I find Help for Internet Explorer 11 ?
I have Windows 7 64-bit and IE11 but I can't find help for that latest browser. In Help and Support, I only find help for Internet Explorer 9
My problem is that since installing IE 11, I am unable to pin pages viewed on the screen to my Favorites; that is the pages that are pinned are different from the pages being viewed.

    Hi
from Desktop IE... Help>Online Support menu
    or go to
    http://answers.microsoft.com
Include the full address of any webpages that you are having issues with.
Pinning is not the same as Adding to favorites.... Web sites program how their sites are to be pinned or added to the Win7 or Win8 Start menus.
    Regards.

  • Preview in browser internet explorer for mac

I use a Mac running Leopard and use Safari as my web browser.
When I try to "preview in browser" in DW, Internet explorer is not
available. Can I run it on mac and where do a get a compatible
version--and preferably without spending a lot of $.

internet explorer for the mac hasn't been supported by MS for
years. Honestly, it's not worth even looking at it.
To view your work in IE for win users, consider getting
something like VMWare Fusion or Parallels or just simply using
BootCamp (which comes with Leopard), to install Windows XP/Vista
    onto your Mac.

  • Web.SHOW_DOCUMENT('URL', '_blank') doesn't work for Internet Explorer 7

    Hello,
In my company, we are using Oracle Forms 10.1.2.0.2.
After inserting a URL, users are logged in. There is one page in the application that uses a button to open a PDF in a new page.
    Code behind this button:
    web.SHOW_DOCUMENT('URL', '_blank');
For internet explorer 6, there is no problem, but last week, some users have upgraded their browser to Internet Explorer 7. When they now push the PDF button, nothing happens. No error is given.
    Could someone please help me..

Actually, I think a couple of my colleagues have seen this with IE7 recently... It seemed to be related to individual PCs rather than anything in our software, and was sort-of sporadic. I think on one of the PCs, there'd been an update to the Google toolbar and that had caused problems (and of course, if you have Google toolbar, that has its own popup blocker that you need to disable for the site in question.)
Sorry to be vague, but I would look for any other browser plug-ins on the machine that might be causing issues.

  • Java for Internet Explorer

I'm trying to find out the version of the Java Runtime installed under Internet Explorer for javascript/applets.
    How do I do that?
    Thank you,
    Bonnie Thanh

I'll describe the problem that I'm having.
I have an application that requires JRE 1.5.0_06 to
    be installed to work.
On one machine, this JRE is installed and I have
IE->Tools->Sun Java Console and under Internet
Options->Advanced, there's a Sun (Java) entry of "Use
JRE 1.5.0_06 for <applet>". My application works on
    this machine.
On another machine, I also have this JRE installed.
However, IE->Tools->Sun Java Console and the Sun
(Java) entry do not show up. My application does
    not work on this machine.
    Any insight?
    Thanks,
BonnieWhen the JRE has been installed there was an option to associate it
with IE or not (to make it a 'plug-in' or not). It was not associated.
Can be done now, as follows:
    Start->Control Panel->Java->Advanced-><Applet> Tag Support.
Check the box for Internet Explorer. Restart the browser.

  • Internet Explorer for Mac 5.1 or higher

Please direct me to where/How I can download internet explorer for my macbook OSX

Given that the last time Microsoft even pretended to support IE/Mac was when the US federal budget still claimed to run a surplus, I infer the only reason to use IE/Mac instead of Safari, Firefox, Camino, or Opera et al. is that some site you need to access requires IE.
Bear in mind that if such a site makes use of ActiveX controls, it won't matter if you try IE/Mac; ActiveX is Windows only. However, a large number of sites that require IE do so because the site's programmers were too busy and/or lazy to check their coding was HTML-compliant and work with other browsers. A cheap shortcut to testing the code is to have the site check the browser the visitor is using and refuse anything other than the browser the developer used.
That can be bypassed by having the visitor's browser report that it's actually another browser and even another platform. That can be done by telling the browser to report it's "user agent" identity to be something else, such as IE5/Mac or IE6/Windows (the latter is probably more useful).
You can set the User Agent in Safari by unlocking the Debug Menu. To enable Safari’s Debug Menu, open Applications> Utilities> Terminal when Safari is closed and enter:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
Restart Safari to see the Debug Menu.
Set the User Agent to the desired state just before attempting to go to the site for which you need IE/Mac.
p.s. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

  • How or where do I download Internet Explorer for Mac OS 10.7.5?

How or where do I download Internet Explorer for Mac OS 10.7.5?

Internet Explorer is only supported on Windows, so you can't use it on OS X. There are a lot of browsers like Safari, Firefox or Chrome for Mac, so try them. If you need Internet Explorer, you have to install Windows on your computer. See > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3321

  • Use only Internet Explorer for SAP portal

    Hello,
We have a requirement to use only internet explorer for SAP portal.
When we try to use portal in any other browser, it should display a message saying "This browser is not supported for the application" (or any other message). But purpose is, the portal application should be usable in only one browser i.e Internet Explorer.
If any one have any idea on this, how this can be implemented, then please share the same. I tried to find if there are any standard SAP portal parameters, but haven't come across any.

  • Latest Internet Explore for the OS.9.0.4

What's the latest version for the Internet Explore for the OS.9.0.4?
I have a Explore 5.1.6 and accessing certain site makes the whole computer freeze.

Do you think it would only be fair to state when Apple dropped support for OS 9? We might as well give both vendors equal time here.
