Support for printing

Hi!
Has NetWeaver 2004s any Print Functionality or API? As far as I know it doens't native
support for printing. If so which ways are given for a workaround.
What is about  "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.print.api"

Hi,
There are certain workarounds available to perform printing operations. One such blog that i foun would be helpful to u is : [click here|/people/sap.user72/blog/2006/05/04/enhancing-tables-in-webdynpro-java-150-custom-built-table-utilities|Blog] . This blog has the coverage of printing tables, graphs etc...Usually we come accross a view that has many UI Elements and we may require to print only say Tables that has Reports, then this sample code in the blog can be used.
I hope this proves u helpful to some extent.

  • Firefox 4.0 support for printing embedded PDF files in iFrames via JavaScript

I recently upgraded to Firefox 4.0 and can no longer print embedded PDF documents contained in an iFrame.
My company's web application has several pages which load PDF files from a Servlet into an iFrame. The pages in question all have "Print" buttons which when clicked executes a JavaScript function to obtain reference to the iframe containing the PDF, place it into focus() (e.g., frames['pdfdoc'].focus();), and invoke print() (e.g., frames['pdfdoc'].print();). There are no errors, or exceptions caught when the JavaScript function is invoked, but the "Print" button is no longer operational.
Does Firefox 4.0 no longer support iFrames? The issue goes away if I revert back to ver 3.6.16

I have same issue for printing embedded PDF files in iFrames via JavaScript in Firefox 5.0.
In previous versions it was working fine. But not in Firefox 4.0/5.0.
Is there any solution for this problem?

  • International Support for Printing

I really love to have the photo book but Apple has only a very limited selection of countries to support this. This feature is useless if you stay in countries like Singapore, Philippines or Malaysia.

I agree. Australia is not a supported country, but I wouldn't mind paying for postage from the US or some other supported country!

  • My hp pavilion 15 notebook pc ports not supporting any printer

how to fix problem with port installed with my system not supporting for printer setup?

    Hi,
Your machine has 2 USB 3.0 ports as shown in its specs:
        http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04329451
    2 USB 3.0
    1 HDMI
    1 RJ-45
    1 headphone/microphone combo
In theory this should be backward compatible with USB 2.0 port on your printer. But this is not the case. New firmware (if your printer is not too old) from your printer may fix this but what is your printer ?

  • Printer Driver Support for Computers Running Windows 8 Release Preview

Printer driver support for computers running Windows 8 Release Preview
HP is working to help customers have the best experience with HP printers connected to PCs running the final release of Windows 8. The pre-release time is a development period when HP develops and tests printer driver solutions. HP’s current plan is for Windows 8 compatible printers to be available when the new operating system is released to the public. HP is working with Microsoft to include drivers in the Windows 8 operating system for HP printers introduced in recent years.
There may be a variety of sources for a printer driver/solution for your HP printer on a computer running Windows 8 Release Preview.
    inOS:
An in-Operating System (inOS) driver is a basic driver that is included within the operating system. You do not need to download or install any software from HP. Windows 8 Relase Preview contains several inOS drivers. If an inOS driver is available for your printer, you will have at least basic print capability with USB and Network and basic scan capability with USB only (if your printer supports scanning).
    Windows Update:
There might be a more functional or more up-to-date driver available for your printer through Microsoft Windows Update. If Windows Update is enabled, then the Windows Update process activates automatically when you connect (USB and Network connections) the printer to the computer. It searches online for the most recent print driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more functional than the currently installed driver in Windows 8, the computer downloads and installs this driver.
    HP Supplied Printer Driver/Solutions:
Although HP does not formally support any pre-release versions of Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 8 Release Preview, we may supply some full functionality drivers* prior to the official release of Windows 8. These drivers may be supplied as a courtesy to our valued HP customers through this Support Forum, though no formal support will be available otherwise. We welcome feedback within these support forums. Please check back for further updates as the official release of Windows 8 approaches.
    * Full feature drivers provide full product functionality, plus valuable software to help you get the most out of your printer.

i contacted what I thought was Brother Support for my new printer, then I got skeptical.  He gained access through a program called TeamViewer, is my Mac safe?

They're probably just interested in getting $ from you, there are several companies who advertise in a way that suggests 'official' support for all sorts of things. Unfortunately, if they had access as you describe, they potentially could have installed other software and/or read any of your files.
Ideally - change all passwords for email/banking/login & restore a backup from before this happened.

  • What types of files do HP printers natively support for wireless/bluetooth printing?

I've been trying to find this information, but digging it out of the HP Support Pages is daunting...
What are all the file types that HP wireless-enabled printers can support, without having to have some sort of driver/rip?  Since you can stick media cards directly into many printers, the printing driver/support must reside in the printer itself, so I'm assuming that simply transferring files to an HP wireless-enabled printer will cause them to print, ala the HP iPrint iPhone app.  But, other than the native iPhone image format, what is the full list of types of images/files that can be printed directly to the printers?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Great question, Mark!
We support several formats in our printers.  *Note, depending on the model, some formats may not be supported.  If you want a model that supports ALL formats mentioned look for a PhotoSmart Premium branded model like our new line in hpshopping.com with Bluetooth and Wireless Networking capability.
    Now for the formats:
    For iPhone:
    -Graphics Interchange Format (*.gif)
    -JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg)
    -Portable Network Graphics (*.png)
    -Device Independent Bitmap (*.bmp)
    -Tag Image File Format (*.tif)
    -Windows Metafile (*.wmf)
    -Enhanced Metafile (*.emf)
      For Sybian OS models:
    Graphics Interchange Format (*.gif)
    -JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg)
    -Portable Network Graphics (*.png)
    -Device Independent Bitmap (*.bmp)
    -Windows Metafile (*.wmf)
The above formats would be used when printing over wireless (wireless N, G, A - depending on radios in phone and access point)
For printing via Bluetooth, and UPnP/DLNA we use an xhtml-print standard to support the following:
    Image Format:
-JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg) -Portable Network Graphics (*.png)
    Document formats:
     XHTML-Print.

    James,
Failure to properly print ligatures would not typically have anything to do with RIP processing. Assuming that your "Xerox printer" has a RIP that has Adobe PostScript, fonts in the PostScript stream (or in the orignal PDF file if appropriate)
always override any fonts that are resident in the RIP. And for that matter, for PostScript printing, the PostScript printer driver is irrelevant as well since InDesign generates all the PostScript and simply uses the driver to channel that PostScript to the spooler and hence to the printer itself.
As suggested in earlier responses in this thread, the symptoms suggest that the print stream was generated without all fonts embedded (or
properly embedded) in the print stream. The original poster (Jason) did not indicate what version of InDesign he was using but there was a problem with a very old InDesign version (possibly InDesign 2.0 or 3.0) in which one of the print dialog's font options did not work correctly and omitted some glyphs from the output stream. That problem definitely was fixed long ago. It is certainly no longer an issue with InDesign 4 (CS2) and InDesign 5 (CS3) in which case make sure that in the InDesign print dialog's "graphics" pane, you set "fonts" to "download complete" (or "download subset") and also enable the "download PPD fonts" option. (If you are using an older InDesign version and having this problem, simply change "download subset" to "download complete" or vice versa - still enabling the "download PPD fonts" option - and see if that solves the problem).
If you are running either InDesign 4 or 5 and still having this problem after making the appropriate print dialog fonts settings adjustment, we'd be very interested in (1) knowing exactly what printer is having this problem and (2) your sending us a simple example InDesign document exhibiting this issue.

  • Disabled scan functionality of HP Officejet 4500 Wireless with 10.9.1. HP says this printer is not supported for 10.9. Is there a solution?

HP Officejet 4500 Wireless with 10.9.1 - Problem is not the printer, just the scanner. The scanner seems to be working but the saved files are not good images, just a bunch of scanned lines. My printer shows up under Preferences>printers and Scanners.
I have found a clumsy work around  - accessing the scanner under Preferences>printers and Scanners allows me to produce a savable file. Problem is I loose functionality provided in the standard HP mode. Specifically I cannot change the image size. Doing that under Preferences>printers and Scanners just makes the window around the picture larger, it doesn't scale the image itself.
My HP connection is strictly with USB, I do not use the wireless feature.
HP tells me this printer is no longer supported for 10.9 Maverick. Is there anything else I can do to regain the scalable image size functionality with this printer/operating system combo?
    Thanks,

  • Samsung ML-1210 foomatic+gdi - no support for envelope printing?

I've installed the Open Source foomatic+gdi print drivers for my Samsung ML-1210 laser printer on my two Macs running Panther (10.3.9). Printing ordinary pages works fine, but the supplied PPD doesn't have any support for envelopes or the fact that the envelope feeder is centered on the print drum. Anyone know of a better PPD or other solution which correctly prints envelopes?

Welcome to the Apple Discussion forums.
I don't have this printer and am not familiar with the gdi drivers. Were there PPDs that came with the download or built from compiling the drivers? In looking at the foomatic generated PPD, I do see that there is a definition for envelopes. For example, I do see the imageable area for a #10 envelope:
    *ImageableArea Env10/Envelope #10: "0 0 297 684"
Do you find lack of support for envelopes in all applications or just certain ones? Are you selecting the envelope in Page Setup from the File menu?
I really don't pretend to have any firm answers here; just a line of things to look at when troubleshooting.

  • How do i get PCL5 support for P1606dn printer windows 7 64-bit

    how do i get PCL5 support for P1606dn printer windows 7 64-bit

The full solution, off the product page, is the recommended solution for this product. It works for most windows applications and installed by default.
The PCL 5 UPD driver only works for the 1606 models and is recommeneded for general office printing and 3rd party or custom software programs.
The XPS print driver (off the prodcut page) is recommened for capturing and printing exactly what is on the screen.
When you install the UPD driver, I would recommend that your install it in the traditional mode instead of the dynamic mode. Just my preference. This way you don't have to wait for it to search for the printer everytime you want to print.

  • No effective support for new printer from HP

I just tried to get support for a Laserjet I bought about a year ago.
The HP support operation just sends the user in circles.
I visited the website. I watched a video. I read docs. At their
suggestion, I filled out a dopey e-mail form.
They sent return e-mail, saying I couldn't reply to their response.
Then they sent another e-mail -- asking me for all the information I
    already had sent them.
No phone number. No fault-specific website. No human's name.
These people are worse than Wal-Mart. My printer has been down
24 hours, now looks like that outage will last a week. For a LaserJet!
    Epson, anyone?

HP provides toll free support for 1 year and life of product e-mail and IM support. Did you ever register your printer?
When you use the e-mail support there is an automated acknowledgement of your question that can't be responded to, that is SOP for many e-mail support operations. They may then ask for additional information to solve your problem. It may seem like info you previously gave them. If so, point that out in your response. You can also choose to enter a chat session with an HP rep for real time support. I've been using HP products exclusively for over 7 years, everytime I've needed to ask for support, my questions have been answered completely and quickly.
    Hope this helps,
    Scott

  • What is support pack for NW04 for print functionality

what is support pack for NW04 for print functionality????

    Hi Kavita,
printing is no fun with web dynpro, as the web-centric solution to useJavaScript is not supported in WebDynpro.
I've spend lots of time with this issue and my experience is that if you want to get a proper printout you will have to rebuild the page (e.g. with XML) and render a printable version (e.g. with XSLT). Every other solution might work but will look crappy.

  • Compatible with quickbooks for printing checks? Driver support

How do I change the font on my 6600 officejet to be compatible with quickbooks for printing checks? When I try to print a check a box pops up and says "Driver lacks full font support". When I went ahead and tried to print the check any way, the wording was way off of the lines.

    Hello @Eddy61,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're receiving the error 'driver lacks full font support' when attempting through Quickbooks to your HP Officejet Pro 6600 All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you with resolving this error today. Now I did some research and found that this is a Quickbooks error with the compatibility with your product.
I found under the QuickBooks website some steps that  may quickly resolve this error for you. You can find the steps here.
From the File menu, select Printer Setup.
In the Form Name drop-down list and choose Check/Paycheck.
    Click the Settings tab.
Click the drop-down list next to Printer type.
    Select Page-oriented (Single sheets).
    Click OK to save changes.
Once the setting changes have been made, please try printing again. Should the issue persist, you can try loading a generic print driver onto your machine. To load the generic driver please follow the steps below.
How To Add An Alternate Driver:
Open your Start screen by either selecting the Windows button in the bottom left hand corner of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the Ctrl button
In the Start Screen type 'Devices and Printers' . If the Devices and Printers option doesn't automatically populate, than click on Settings on the top right and then click on Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers folder right click on your HP Officejet Pro 6600 and left click on Printer Properties
Left click on the Advanced tab
    Left click on New Driver
When the New Driver window opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of Manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
Select HP as the Manufacturer on the left
Select Deskjet 9800 as the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 doesn't appear than select 'Windows Update' on the bottom left and once the update completes you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next to complete the New Driver Wizard
Under the Printer Properties window select 'Apply' but don't hit OK
    Select the General tab
Rename your printer back to HP Officejet Pro 6600
    Hit OK
Lastly, right click on your HP Officejet Pro 6600 one more time and left click on Printing Preferences
Left click on the Paper/Quality tab
Left click on the 'Normal' dropdown for Print Quality on the bottom right and change this to Fast Normal
    Hit Apply and OK
Now that the new driver has been successfully added in, please try printing through Quickbooks again to verify if the error message has been resolved .
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Container Layout Web Item supported for PDF Printing (Stack 11)

Dear all and Mr. Prakash Darji
I had an information that PDF export would be supported for Container Layout Web Item with SPS11. We hrecently have installed SPS11 but the functionality is still not available.
Does any one have more info on this ? Has SAP changed the plan ?

    Title:Publishing Strategies

    NetWeaver RIG

I' an APEX newbie and believe I am having the same or a similar problem. I am (for now) developing a system using the hosted Apex development system online. I have created a Report Query which works fine with the default layout. I downloaded the XML (tried both sample data and schema) into Word 2007 with the BI Publisher Template Builder. I used the table wizard to create a simple layout containing all columns with no customization at all. Saved as an RTF, uploaded to Apex as a Report Layout, associated it with the Report Query, clicked Test Report -- and I got nothing.
When the is a PDF, I get the same error you mention ( Adobe Reader could not open the <file name> because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded ). If I switch to an HTML file the out is just a blank screen.
If I switch back to generic report layout, it works fine. This suggests there is something wrong with the template, though it looks fine in Word with the sample data.
I've searched the forums and Google for the better part of a day. What am I missing?
