Support for the Windows Live Essentials Suite

Hi,
I use the new Windows Live Essentials Suite to store my Contacts, write and receive Emails or to vie the calender. Is there any chance to get these Apps supported in a new iTunes release so that I can sync all of this information with my iPod Touch ?

It would be up to Microsoft do make an App. If Microsoft enabled exchange support like Google Sync , or Nuevasync, you could do it as the iPhone/iPod touch supports Exchange.

You couldn't login into server But You can use the following login
http://servername.xxxx.com:8000/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
For this you need to enable the Appslocallogin Profile option

Windows Live Essentials 2011 deployment options using offline installer

I have downloaded the Windows Live Essentials 2011 Offline installer provided by Microsoft (they sure do bury it on the website, not easy to find). You can find it here:

I want to install this during a task sequence and have it available for Run Advertised Programs. Does anyone know of or where I can find the silent installation commands?

Why doesn't Firefox recognize the Windows Live Mail login page as such and offer to remember the password?

For most other sites' login pages, Firefox recognizes that they are login pages and offers to remember my password. For the Windows Live Mail login page it does not.

That log in page is created via JavaScript and the Password Manager doesn't work in that case.
You can see that if you inspect the page source.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service.

Try installing Windows 2012 Live Essentials here.
You will have to set up your Pop 3 or IMAP email account after installing the updated version per above.
Are you using an Internet Service Provider Email account or a cloud based (IMAP) Email account?
Pop 3 accounts will require incoming and outgoing server addresses and any additional security settings required by your ISP. If you don't have the required settings for Pop 3 you will have to contact your ISP for those.

Window live essentials update

I have a g560. recently I started using windows live essentials 2011 movie maker. It was getting the job done.
I upgraded to 2012 and now can not get movie maker to work. I have followed several so called fixes on the windows discussion boards to no avail. Now I am being told the driver for the video card needs to be updated to "8.15.102555. However when I attempt to download the driver from Lenovo I am told it is not validated for my computer. Kind of stuck. From the windows site it looks like the problem was around the summer of 2012.

Cannot install Windows Live Essentials, getting error messages

I tried to update my Windows Live Essentials from the Beta to WLE 2011. My first few attempts got me an error with Wllogin-x64. I went ahead and uninstalled the Beta, ran the installer cleanup utility (which borked a few things of course), downloaded
the offline installation file and made sure to run it as administrator. Now I'm getting a different error.
Error: 0x80070643

I did a search to try to find out what watson-x64 could be but to no avail. Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this? Is Microsoft actually trying to solve this issue?

Hi King, to solve this error you must activate the firewall.
Note: To use this feature, you must be logged into the computer with administrator functions.
Click the Start button and then click the Control Panel option --- System and Security --- Select the Windows Firewall --- Configure the Firewall
In the left pane, click Change notification settings to customize the configuration of the firewall.
(By default, Windows Firewall is enabled for both private networks to the public)
To enable Windows Firewall selected in the left side panel, Windows Firewall On or Off (on or off) or select Restore Defaults
You should install correctly the WLE 2011 now. Regards

Selective XML Index feature is not supported for the current database version , SQL Server Extended Events , Optimizing Reading from XML column datatype

As a last resort on optimizing my stored procedure ( Below ) i wanted to create a Selective XML index ( Normal XML indexes doesn't seem to be improving performance as needed ) but i keep getting this error within my stored proc . Selective XML
Index feature is not supported for the current database version.. How ever

There's been an update for OSX ML which addresses the issue for installing Windows 8 on bootcamp.
It's NOT recommended that you Upgrade.. However, the way to get the drivers is:
You'll need an external USB drive formatted as FAT for this.
1) In OSX, start the Bootcamp Assistant
2) Press Next
3) UNTICK 'Remove WIndows 7 or Later Version'
4) TICK Download the Latest Windows Support Software from Apple
5) Insert USB drive
6) Press CONTINUE
The drivers should download, and copy a WIndowsSupport folder onto the USB drive.
I did notice that Windows 8 still requires beta drivers for some aspects such as VGA (the Radio HD Card), which you can get on the AMD website.
Futhermore, why are you using Windows 8 "32" bit when you blatently have a powerful 64bit?

Is there a Mac equivalent of the Windows Live Mail client?

(If anyone reading isn't familiar with Windows Live Mail, please look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WindowsLiveMail to see what I mean. Please don't suggest clients like Microsoft Entourage etc as they're not what I'm looking for!)
I used to have a Windows laptop and used the Windows Live Mail client to manage my Hotmail accounts. It was brilliant as it synchronised exactly with webmail (all folders present and correct, if I deleted an email on the webmail it would delete from the programme and vice versa, etc) and did this with as many email accounts as I liked - so I could access all three from the same screen. Perfect!
When I got a Macbook I discovered that Windows Live Mail wasn't available for Mac. I spent a couple of weeks looking for a suitable alternative but never found one.
I'm aware of how to use Hotmail in a regular mail client but I've not found one exactly the same as Windows Live Mail. There's always a problem with synchronisation between the client and webmail, I can only get the inboxes imported and no other folders synchronise which is a pain as I don't always use my laptop to read my email - if I read it elsewhere using webmail and move an email from the inbox to another folder, I'd have to do a second time when I next use my laptop. Hence I don't bother and just use webmail instead - but I hate logging in and out of three accounts!
As it's been ages since I last looked, I thought I'd look again - but I still can't find anything that works the way I want.
Is there a Mac equivalent of Windows Live Mail (http://download.live.com/wlmail)? Something that works in exactly the same way? I wish Windows weren't so childish and would just release a version of this for Mac... it's pretty much the only thing I miss from my old laptop!

In few words, "No." There is no such client for the Mac. The closest you may find would be to try the Mac MSN client, aMSN - VersionTracker or MacUpdate - but it's essentially just a messenger clone. I doubt it includes a Live Mail client.

SP1 to R2 Upgrade - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database

Am trying to upgrade a SCOM SP1 environment to SCOM R2( 3 MGT servers, 1 GW and 2 Web console boxes )
The prerequisites are failing and it is stating the following ;
Operational Database SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database
Data Warehouse SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the data warehouse
The SQL servers are running SQL 2012 SP1 64 Enterprise, which is compatible.
All other pre-upgrade tasks have been done.
Help appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue, I believe. I think that Tubble has problem with SCOM 2012. Not 2007.
I've checked the compatibility list for both SCOM 2012 SP1 and R2. All newer Windows Server and SQL versions are supported. We're running the SQL 2012 SP1 x64 Standard edition on a Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I even tried to move the database from SQL 2012 to an older SQL 2008 R2, but that's not supported either. Only upgrading. Not downgrading.
So, I started checking the opsMgrSetupWizard.log file for clues. And the error message was there as well. But the reason why it says not supported is that it can't get the info about the OS version, so I guess it assumes the OS version is to low. The RPC
service can not be reached.

So, in our case this was just a FW that was blocking some high ports between management server and SQL. I believe TCP port 135 also needs to be open.

I have a WorkerRole and I am trying to use the vmName attribute is the cscfg file;

I get the following error;
"Warning : VMName is not supported in the Windows Azure Emulator in role 'WorkerRole1'."
Does this mean that the ComputeEmulator does not support use of the vmName attribute, or am I doing something wrong.

If I use the following, the DNS name is not registered in my standard DNS ( I am using Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 and the machine is outside a Windows Domain, using a corporate DNS server ). Is there some 'Compute Emulator' DNS that I need to lookup, or do I
have to set the DNS part of the Role Endpoints to point to my local DNS server? In the cloud Azure provides DNS services Azure
