Hi Roberto,

See the compatibility chart.

  • The version of iOS on does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK

Getting this error message as of this morning: The version of iOS on “iPad” does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below, or update to the latest version of the iOS SDK. I've downloaded the latest SDK and gone through the usual turn off and turn on again for iPad and computer, removed and reinstalled the iPad from Organizer and have no idea how to make apps build now. I was prompted to update the iphone too but there's no way I'm updating it if this issue can't be resolved.

Okay these are the steps I took to solve the problem - they may not be the right ones for you but they've solved the problem and saved time hunting for some other solution. Firstly I changed my MAC system to Lion with the £20 download, then I deleted the old Xcode and installed the new version that is app based and doesn't support Snow Leopard, then all was well. I can now update my xcode via the app which is quicker and more logical and can update my iPhone rather than chug along avoiding updates as I need to update my existing apps on the app store and upload a new one.

  • Why Segment shrink is not supported for tables with function-based indexes

As we all know , Segment shrink is not supported for tables with function-based indexes.
    But i'm very confused .
Why Segment shrink is not supported for tables with function-based indexes ?? what's its essential?

    Creating a function based index creates a hidden virtual column (you'll see it if you query user_tab_cols) and once you index a virtual column you can no longer shrink the table:orcl> create table t1(c1 number,c2 as (c1 * 2)) segment creation immediate;
    Table created.
    orcl> alter table t1 enable row movement;
    Table altered.
    orcl>
    orcl> alter table t1 shrink space;
    Table altered.
    orcl> create index i2 on t1(c2);
    Index created.
    orcl> alter table t1 shrink space;
    alter table t1 shrink space
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-10631: SHRINK clause should not be specified for this object
orcl>so the issue is not with function based indexes per se, it is a level beneath that. Perhaps because the virtual column has no physical existance, when the row is moved there is no reason for Oracle to realize that an index needs updating? I haven't attempted to reverse engineer this, I would be interested to know if anyone else has.

  • No support for dv1000 with vista?

I upgraded (?) from XP to vista ultimate and now have no audio.  "no audio device installed" it tells me.  When I attempt to repair this, HP informs me that there isn't any support for this laptop running vista.  What's up with that?  There used to be sticker on it saying it was designed for XP but vista ready.
There is one more possible cause.... When I installed the vista, I did so on a samsung 320 gig hd that I purchased from a friend.  It came for a Dell XPS something and I still have a problem or two from that.
Now my dvd writter has vanished.  I am about to attempt to reinstall that....

nevermind found my answer here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090114155845AAzvnYB

  • Elements support for RAW with Sony RX10

How do you get raw files open with Elements 12.
    I have a RX 10  Sony.
Downloaded the newest DRG.  Didn't work.
Can open with other programs but not Adobe.
    Help.

What operating system are you using?
If you go to Help>Updates from within the photoshop elements 12 editor, that should get you camera raw 8.5, which seems to open those files.
It's not clear from the page that most people look at, when support for that camera was added.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
Though it is listed here, but doesn't say in which version of camera raw support for that camera was added.

  • Support for EJB3 with JDK1.4?

Are there any plans for support of EJB3 with JDK 1.4?
I see from the release notes for Kodo 4 that it currently requires JDK 1.5
for EJB3 support. The primary driver here is the use of WebSphere, which
doesn't support JDK 1.5. [And, NO, Weblogic is NOT an option. :)]

No. The spec itself relies heavily on Java 5 features.I understand that EJB3 makes use of JDK 1.5 language features, but that's
nothing that couldn't be fairly easily worked around. I've got a pretty
good handle on what's involved - I did write Retroweaver,
    http://retroweaver.sf.net
Is there any hope of a re-evaluation of this position? We'd love to take an approach like that, but if we did, the entirety of
Sun's legal team would come after us. Basically, according to the JCP
rules, we can't ship anything but the official JCP-approved EJB3 jars.
We certainly can't prevent you from taking that sort of approach in your
own code base, but from a legal standpoint, we're not allowed to
officially support anything that's not the official jars.

  • Support for RAW with Olympus XZ-1

    Hi Everyone,
I just recently purchased an Olympus XZ1 to add to my collection of digital cameras (have a Canon SD800 ELPH and EOS Rebel XSi).  I just purchased the camera about 3 weeks ago, and never bothered to research the compatibility, as I assumed Aperture was good to go.  Silly me!  I just got back from vacation and began attempting to upload the images to Aperture, and received the "unsupported format" error message.
I started researching this issue online, and I have seen this question asked, but all of the questions and answers were from May and earlier.  Since technology changes on a daily basis, I figured I would ask it again.
From everything I have read, it appears as though support for the Olympus XZ-1 did not come out until Digital Camera Raw 3.7.  So my assumption is that I would need to upgrade from Aperture 2 to Aperture 3 in order to be able to use Aperture with my new Olympus XZ1.  Can someone confirm that for me?
Thank you all for your time!
    Jeff

Lion is 10.7, Snow Lepoard is 10.6, Leopard is 10.5.
I woul strongly recomend you update to 10.6.8 (the last snow lepoard update) for a number of reasons. First 10.6.8. is a solid OS at this point you won't have to many (or any) gotcha's. Second Leopard (10.5.x) is going away. Pretty sure there will be no more updates for it at this point. If not it won't be long before that happens. Also you will need to have 10.6.8 installed in the event you want to at some point upgrade to Lion.
But finally perhaps the most important point if you don't have 10.6.8 you can't acess the App Store and if you can;t acess the App Store you will need to get the boxed version of Aperture 3. The differerence in price between the boxed version and the App Store version will more then pay for the upgrade to Snow Leopard. In fact you should have  a fair bit of change left over.
    good luck

  • Airplay not supported for NBC with the ios7 upgrade

Upgraded to ios7 for my iphone 4s and when trying to view NBC shows, error message is received indicating that Airplay is not currrently supported.  Airplay is/was supported for my ipad 3 for NBC, but the upgrade to ios7 on the iphone 4s seems to be problematic and I cannot view the shows but I can only hear them (no visual/only audio is received).
Is there a fix for this problem?  I am really disappointed that this is happening since all the other channels work, except NBC.
    Please advise.

  • Support for iPod with Adobe DPS

    Hello:
Is it possible to use DPS on an iPod Touch just like it is an iPhone?  Maybe it works but the question goes if Adobe support this device.
    Saludos,

For Single Edition, no. Single Edition is iPad only.
For multi-folio viewers, here's info from a help article: "The iPhone 3GS, 4, and 4S models as well as the iPod Touch (Generation 4 and later) are supported for DPS. The iPhone 3G is not supported."

  • Adobe Reader v10.4.4 support for PDF with attributes

    Hi there,
I recently downloaded Adobe Reader v10.4.4 for my iPhone. I was just wondering if it supports PDFs with attributes?
To test I created two PDFs using GIS application called MapInfo Professional:
    1. PDF without attributes - this one was able to open succesfully
    2. PDF with attributes - this one could not open and threw an error "Not a valid PDF document"
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your speedy reply. Yes, I forgot to mention, these PDFs can open up in my desktop version of Adobe Reader (v8) for Windows.
PDF with attributes means that there is records (attribute data) contained in the PDF which is being saved into the PDF when it was created using the GIS application. For example if looking at postal area: PDF map, ID number, place name, population, area (sq m) values etc.
The specific tool/function which allows these attribute values to be exposed is called the 'Object Data' tool (under Tools > Object Data in the desktop version)
(I have attached a screenshot showing these attributes in the desktop version so you may get a better understanding hopefully! Pls see link below)

  • Support for SPA932 with SPA525G phone on the UC520

Will the SPA932 be supported with the SPA525G phone on the UC520 in SCCP mode?
The command for configuring the SPA525G with a SPA932 would be similar to the following when such feature is supported:
    ephone 1
    device-security-mode none
    video
    mac-address 0021.A000.D001
    username jdoe password "jdoe"
    type 525G addon 1 932
    keep-conference
    button 1:1
I do know that the following addon module combinations are supported on the UC520:
    796x / 7914
    797x / 7914
    7962 / 7915
    7965 / 7915
    7975 / 7915
    7962 / 7916
    7965 / 7916
    7975 / 7916

There are no plans to support the SPA932 in SCCP mode. A new sidecar will be offered for the CP-500 series and the SPA525G in SCCP mode.

  • HT4898 Why is Apple downgrading sync support for Mail with iCloud?

In the past, if I didn't move forward when Apple moved forward, all that happened was that I did not have access to new features.
This time, with the demise of MobileMe and the introduction of iCloud, if I don't move forward I lose features, but even worse, even if I do move forward, I still lose features.
In particular, the lack of syncronization under iCloud of Mail's Rules, Accounts, and Smart Mailboxes means that on our several machines I have to manually do updates multiple times, which of course leads to multiple mistakes.
In my view, what Apple has done has the look and feel of customer abuse, something usually attributed to another large tech company.  I can't avoid losing functionality, whether or not I move forward with Apple.
The word disgraceful comes to mind.
Is there a good reason for Apple's policies that concern Mail-feature synchronization?  I'd like to hear them.

We are not supposed to speculate here, not supposed to seek further understanding?
What is the point in speculating? All it does is lead to misinformation being put out, a lot of which ends up being taken as fact by those who don't realise it is just speculation. Speculating on unproven facts does not lead to understanding. If you don't know the true reason for something, how can you understand it?
I should not have picked up on the word, speculate, which you introduced in your first reply to me.  These are called Apple Support Communities, after all, and so I was hoping there was a reader somewhere who knew more about the tech world, in particular Apple's world, than I do, and was also someone who could shed light on why Apple has taken the path it has taken.
And Apple aren't saying you can't speculate at all - just not here, on Apple's official forums ... . We're Apple's guests on these forums so  ... you abide by the rules.
So, I checked the Terms of Use, and of course, you are correct. Apple wants no criticism of their policies on the Apple Support Communities forums.  The ASC forums are operated on Apple's dollar, and hence they have the right to manage the forums as they see fit.
The "agreements" we sign every day to use various digital services (or banking services, for that matter) are not negotiated understandings.  They are of the form, "our way or the highway".
Exactly, and if you don't agree with it. Don't use it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head. MobileMe and iCloud and all the other services Apple offers are optional. Nobody has to use them.
I'm disappointed that you used the gun-to-your-head argument, because it stands out as sophmoric, especially in the light of your other observations.  Today's corporations do everything they can to insulate themselves from legal actions of disgruntled customers.  Some of that is understandable because of the litigious nature of our society.  But the one sided agreements, tantamount to sign and we play, otherwise we take our ball and bat and go home, are in fact a de facto coercion to sign.  Were we all to say, No, to such agreements, our society would have to return to the pre-transistor era.  In order to live in our modern society, we have to sign.
I went right to the top months ago, but as is common with the stereotypical large corporation, and now Apple, I was totally ignored.
Just because you didn't receive a reply, doesn't mean your email was not considered. ...
And making requests via email to a CEO isn't like a drive-thru restaurant where they take your order and immediately do as you asked (shareholder or not).
As a matter of logic, the fact that someone does not answer one's letter does not mean that the letter was not read or considered.  As a matter of probability, however, it is quite likely that the letter was ignored or read and ignored, especially since CEO's of large corporations have a staff to handle things like this.  I wrote to Cook because it was reported that he paid attention.
And thanks for educating me on the difference between a CEO and a drive-thru restaurant.
Well, in keeping with the ASC Terms of Use, I'm not supposed to be talking about any of this.  So with due deference to the Terms, over and out.

  • I cannot believe how hard it is to get support for issues with EE

How can it be so hard to contact customer support?  I can't make or receive calls while at work but checking/sending the odd email or IM is OK.  However there appears to be no way to contact customer support other than to phone them!  I've seen other posts regarding contacting them by Twitter or Facebook.  How long is it going to take for businesses to realise that those are not appropriate media for support calls (just my opinion obviously).  I already get spammed with tens of text messages a month so don't want to solicit addional spam by connecting to them on social media (oh yea the word social, they are my service provider, not my friend!). I have relented and tweeted them but had no response yet.  It's so hard to contact support, they are a communications company! I appologise that there isn't realy a question in my post, I'm just bewildered/dismayed/staggered by the unreliable service 3 or 4 issues in 6 months using the service) and subsequent difficulty getting support that I just wondered if anyone could offer some insight? The coverage is better than my previous provider but i am seriously regretting joining EE. Alan.

Hey , Sorry to hear about this. Have you tried contacting them from a landline, or a different phone? If you're ringing from another phone, it's 01707 315000 I can see you said you've tweetd them, so hopefully they'll help you out, or refer you to the Live Chat team.
