Support IBM IVM (Integrated Virtualization Manager) and Njay NAS Storage in SCVMM 2012 R2

Hello Frenz,
Can you someone help me to understand the below Queries,
Will SCVMM 2012 R2 support following Management
                   01. IBM IVM (Integrated Virtualization Manager)
   02. Njay NAS device
           03. Cisco Router

VMM has a "datacenter abstraction layer" approach, based on standard-based management. If your storage devices can be managed through SMI-S or SMP, then it is hope. However, the vendor of the device must have a supported provider for you do communicate with
from VMM.
The same goes for networking device, and Cisco Nexus v1000 can be added as an extension into the fabric.

  • Management and maintanence of 2008r2 developments with 2012 client tools

    Hi eb
I need to manage and maintane sql server 2008r2 developments like databases, ssis packages, ssrs reports, ssas native cubes
and at the same time start developping in 2012 tools for 2012 servers with thier own version of client tools.
    Questions:
Can 2008r2 and 2012 client tools co-exist on the same development machine?
Are there any known issues with development of any of the sql server 2008r2 components after instalation of the 2012 client components?
I guess it is not possible to uninstall the 2008r2 client tools alltogther because managing 2008r2 developments from within 2012 client tools would automatically upgrade them to 2012 version (as was the case with the 2005-2008 versions before)?
Last and not list do 2012 client tools require windows 7 OS?
    TIA for your attention
    Rea

Yes, they can , but you can develop SSIS 2012  to work against SS2008R2

  • Integration access manager and web services manager

    Hi,
Can the SSO token sent by the access manager be used by the SOA suite web services manager ? I would assume that this is a trivial configuration.
Can anyone help with some ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Mohan

SOA Suite has Oracle Web Services Manger which can accept Oracle Access manger token. Instead of passing the obSSOCookie to all the services in SOA Suite ( in which case you are making the services available only to OAM authenticated users) you can create SAML token from your obSSOCookie and then send the SAML token to the SOA.
If you want to just pass obSSOCookie to SOA Suite/ Oracle WSM, yes it is straightforward. (you have to follow the steps in OWSM document)
    Thanks

  • Integrating Solution Manager in EP

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement of integrating SAP Solution Manager with EP.Is it the same procedure that we normally followed at the time of integrating R/3 or CRM like creating a system in the landscape and establishing SSO.
    Regards
    Indranil
Points will be awarded for useful answer.

    Hi
    Indranil Chakrabarty
Thanks for replying.I have already created a system to integrate solution manager & implemented SSO via log in/pwd.I am able to execute the transaction like solar01,solar02 through a SAP transaction iVIEW.
The link you have send is describing about creating an iview of type epsolman type from par.By setting this can we execute all the transactions through iview...?
creating an iview of type epsolman  from par  is used to create an iview in portal to send Support desk message to solution manager and this has nothing to with working with functions of solution manager in portal.
i guess you wish to use functions of solman in portal.
as people said here basic requirements are
    1) sso between solman and portal
    2) solution manager system in portal
    Regards,
    Vijay.

  • Does OVM 3 support network I/O management and storage I/O prioritization

Does OVM 3 support any QoS setting for networking and/or storage? If so how are they set? I have been looking and can't seem to locate these settings.
In OVM 2.2 network I/O traffic management and storage I/O prioritization could be set as described in this 2.2 blog posting.

    Thanks

It is not manageable through the GUI but can be changed in the vm.cfg file. Example:
    vif_other_config = [['00:16:3e:31:d5:4b', 'tbf', 'rate=8mbit,latency=50ms'], ['00:16:3e:52:c4:03', 'tbf', 'rate=10mbit']]
    - ingress
    vif = ['mac=00:16:3e:31:d5:4b,bridge=xenbr0,rate=10Mb/s@50ms'] - egress

  • WLC: which software-version support SHA2 certificates for Web Authentification and Web Management ?

    Hello,
I tried to install new SHA2 3th-Party certificates on our WLCs. There are old WiSM1-Boards and 2504 to support our old 1230 Access Points, running 7.0.251.2, which didn't install it, although the config manual for 7.6 and 8.0 say that SHA2 certificates are supported since 7.0.250.0. When I tried to install the SHA2-certificates I get the message "File transfer failed" an the log says:
    *TransferTask: Dec 12 13:22:14.394: #UPDATE-3-CERT_INST_FAIL: updcode.c:1869 Failed to install Webauth certificate. rc = 1
*TransferTask: Dec 12 13:22:14.394: #SSHPM-3-KEYED_PEM_DECODE_FAILED: sshpmcert.c:4085 Cannot PEM decode private key
I tried to install the same certificates on our WiSM2-Boards, running 7.4.121.0 and I failed too. The same certificates could be installed on a 2504 running 8.0.100 without any problems.
In all 3 cases I tried to install unchained certificates for web management and Level 3 chained certificates  for web authentication. I used the following guides to get the certificates (e.g. taken from the config manual 8.0.100):
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/4400-series-wireless-lan-controllers/109597-csr-chained-certificates-wlc-00.html
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wlan-security/70584-csr-wlc-00.pdf
Which software versions support SHA2 certificates and which didn't ? Is the a list for it ?
    Regards

    Hello,
I solved the problem. First I used a Debian Linux system with Openssl 1.0.1. After I searched the internet using one of the log messages above I found sites which mentioned to use Openssl 0.9.x. So I tried a productive and security fixes Debian Linux System running Openssl 0.9.8 and I succeeded. The wlcs accepted the certificate files and used it after a reboot. The Web GUI still shows a SHA1 Fingerprint, but the certificate signature Algorithm is SHA2:
    Signature Algorithm: sha256WithRSAEncryption
When you check the openssl.org homepage Openssl 0.9.8 is still one of the actual version of openssl and is still available and fixed. But the Openssl Roadmap says:
"We don't want to have to maintain too many branches. This is likely to include a timescale for the EOL of version 0.9.8"
I don't know the differences between certificates made with openssl 0.9.8 and 1.0.1. Is there anybody who can explain it to me ?
    Regards

  • Integration between Soluiotn Manager and HP Quality Center

    Hi Folks,
I am currently configuring the integration between Solution Manager and HP Quality Center, and during the set up of communication user, I get the following error:
User hpqc_comm is not authorized to access projects
    Message no. QC_INTEGRATION016
    Diagnosis
You want to access projects in the Quality Center with the communication user hpqc_comm. This causes an error because the user either does not exist in the Quality Center or is not assigned to any project.
    Procedure
Check whether the user hpqc_comm is in the Quality Center, and whether it is assigned to at least one project. Ask the Quality Center administrator to create the user and assign it to projects, if necessary.
You can use another user for the communication
Well, I have created that user in HPQC and assigned it to projects.
    Thanks for your help
    Marco

the error is in Solution Manager. I am defining the communication parameters in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN / <selected project> / edit / Connection to HP Quality Center. I choose the corresponding project in Quality Center, but when I validate the screen, I get the error I mentioned before, even though the communication user exists in HPQC and is assigned to that specific project.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Integration between organizational management and personnel administration

    Dear Sirs/Madams,
I am trying to integrate organizational management and personnel administration to have see positions, jobs, and units which are assigned in PPOME. I made some configuration in T77SO and correct the needed integration in PLOGI position and especially for ORGA.
Nevertheless, the integration problems did not solve. Now, I was wondering if you would mind helping me in this case.
    Thanks for your considerations,
    Kind Regards,
    Mohammad Hassan Salmani.

To set up/fix full integration between PA and PD, run below reports in this sequence:
    1. RHINTE00 – Transfer PA records into PD positions –batch
    2. RHINTE20 – Create OM objects in PA tables – Online
    3. RHINTE30 – Bulk update of infotype 0001
    4. RHINTECHECK – Program to check PA to PD
    5. RHCHECKV - Checks all inverse relationships
Also,It is important to realize that in PA, there are tables that contain objects from OM, i.e. for those items displayed on infotype 0001 Organizational Assignment. Sometimes the tables can get ‘out of step’ with those in PD – table HRP1000. Check those as well. The tables are:
    T513,T513S  Object type C (Job)
T528B,T528T Object types S (Position) and A (Work center)
T527X Object type O (Organizational unit)

  • Integration between case management and C-folder

    Dear Experts ,
Can you help regarding integration between Case Managment and C-folder ???
    Kind Regards

    Hi,
Simple answer: There is no specific integration existing.
Case Management is using DMS as one option to save documents like Word, Excel.
The cFolders solution is normally on a separate server and DMS documents can be checked out from the content server to cFolders and vice versa in SAP standard.
I have experience from both solutions and I really don't see how these two solutions should be linked to each other from a business perspective.
