Support ios 8 ipad mini
bonsoir , je suis français , etant etudiant et me restant 2ans d'ecole à effectuer je compte m'acheter un ipad mini pour mes cour , mais je souhaiterai savoir si il sera soutenue par ios 8 pour avoir une utilisation optimale de l'ipad , venant d'un ipad 1 qui a etait abandonnée en tres peu de temps je voudrais eviter une nouvelle mesaventure

Actualicé mi ipad mini (primera generación o iPad 2,5 como lo identifican en soporte) a iOS 8.0 versión que salió ayer para todo el mundo y la verdad es que estoy muy arrepentido,
en mi experiencia con iOS 8 tiene un consumo excesivo e injustificado de la batería mientras se encuentra en reposo tomando en cuenta que tengo Siri, WiFi, Bluetooth, efecto parallax, etc y la mayoría de notificaciones desactivadas o apagadas y ninguna aplicación corriendo.
en cuanto a velocidad el teclado responde lento, muuuuuuy lento, al escribir y terminar el teclado apenas se encuentra escribiendo la mitad de la frase o palabra, da el efecto de como estar escribiendo por si solo.
En cuanto a los gestos de 4 dedos arrastrando hacia arriba para mostrar las apps abiertas o corriendo tarda aproximadamente 1 segundo y al cambiar entre aplicaciones arrastrando 4 dedos hacia la izquierda o derecha a veces no reacciona y cuando lo hace en ocasiones la pantalla parpadea como si volviera a cargar la app seleccionada.
La verdad es una muy mala experiencia de usuario no recomiendo que lo actualicen los que tienen la primer versión de iPad mini.
¿Apple podría publicar una guía oficial para poder volver a iOS 7.1.2? la verdad es que iOS 7.1.2 funciona excelente en iPad mini comparado al nuevo iOS 8.0

Yesterday I bought the iPad Mini and my operator is One2Free but at the iPad Mini can't show the LTE signal is the iPad Mini have some problem ?
But my iPhone 5 can show the LET show what problem at this ?I have exactly the same problem like u. I've been to one2free and apple store to enquire about it. Both of them answered one2free LTE is not officially support in iPad mini nor the iPad 4. we'll have to wait for the announcement for carrier update or some say maybe iOS 6.1 might officially support one2free LTE. In other word, we'll just have to wait.
My friend who updated their ipad mini from iOS 6.0.1 to 6.0.2 were able to use one2free LTE, but I had no luck after I tried to re-install 6.0.2. -

The iPad mini supports 4G and LTE. Do you have LTE enabled in Settings > General > Cellular > Enable LTE

Ipad mini safari display size issues
I created help documentation for an iPad app. The help opens in Safari and it works fine.
So, now we support the iPad Mini, but when we open the help in Safari on the Mini, the sizing is messed up. Also, I am told that the links do not go to the correct topics even thought they work fine on the iPad 2 and later. I created the help files in RoboHelp using the iPad screen format. They do not have a separate screen format for the Mini.
Any Ideas?I think that you would probably be better off posting in the developers forum with this.

I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem
Help!If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be. -

This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
What will I do? Please help.

I Purchase iPad mini retina screen on July 7 2014 at Malaysia local apple sale agent switch store somehow now my iPad did restore to latest iOS 7.1.2, before that and after also facing 1new issue is my iPad mini cant success download apps and error message show can't download at this time, either retry or click done. My internet is good condition no line down, I reboot my iPad only can download but sometime can't need to reboot twice only can download. Very sad local sale and tech support can't help to solve my problem...
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

How do I set a photo as wallpaper to my iPad Mini after iOS 7.0.2 software update?
I open up the Photos app on my iPad Mini to choose a photograph to use on my home screen and lock screen. First, I hit Select located in the upper right side of the screen of the app and I choose a photograph to use. Second, I choose AirDrop located on the upper left corner of the app. Afterwards, I choose Use as Wallpaper found in AirDrop. Next, the photo is shown with the words Move and Scale on it. Then I choose Set Lock Screen, Set Home Screen and Set Both, not all do these at once though. When I click on each of these buttons nothing happens. The photograph I chose will not show up on my Lock Screen and Home Screen. I want to set this photograph to show up on both my Lock Screen and my Home Screen. I am getting very frustrated that I can not set a photograph to Set Both so that it shows up on both my Lock Screen and Home Screen at the same time. I forgot to say that I just went to my settings, then general, then reset and finally Reset All Settings before doing this, because I could not download any new apps at all. I am wondering if this has anything to do with this? I am willing to take any help I can get. In the end, I end up hitting cancel, because I am very frustrated.

I have an iPhone 4s 16GB Model and I've been using it for about more than an year now. The reason I wanna get a new iOS device is because my 4s has got lots of scratches now and it's ambient light sensor seems not to work properly. Apparently, another reason is that the iLife and iWork suit are not free for me as my device is older and new devices get those softwares for free.
I thought to go with a new iPhone 4s again but the problem is that new 4s come with only 8GB of storage and they don't support AirDrop. So next, I thought to go with an iPod touch 5th gen because of its jaw-dropping design, bigger screen, more storage and AirDrop support. Because iPod touch is phone-less iPhone and they come at affordable price, I can also buy any cheap cell phone like moto e to replace my current iPhone 4S.
Another options that I thought a little bit on, is iPad 4th Gen and iPad mini with Retina display 16GB.
Now, should I just stick with my current 16GB iPhone 4s, or get a new one.
Or should I buy an iPod touch 5th gen and moto e (since iPod can't make phone calls)
Or should I go with one of the two iPad models that I aforementioned.

They're a lot more expensive, but Griffin has some of their 'survivor' cases with sealed ports, so you could cover up the ones you don't need.
If best buy isn't an option for you, at least there's a manufacturer to look for. -
I updated my iPad mini to ios 7.0.2 couple days ago. Everything was fine until yesterday. I noticed that it seemed to have a mind of its own. It kept opening and closing app. I'm not sure what to don to fix this problem. I've tried restoring my iPad mini but that didn't help. Can someone please help me?
Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore
