Support of Korean Language(damn urgent)

Hai All,
I have developed Applet application which has to run on the korean system. So i changed my systems regionsettings to korean. But when i tried to open the applet in IE. The IE got closed. Please if any one can help in this regard it would be of great help.
Thanks in Advance

1. You gotta find out why it closed. an applet can't normally close the browser
2. If you experience troubles with the encodings you don't have to change your system's settings, but rather specify it on the command line, for instance, when you compile a file that contains russian (cyrilic) letters, you right so:
javac -encoding windows-1251 MyClass.java
you only replace " windows-1251" with the korean encoding
hope this helps
and what means korean system? lol

  • Robohelp 8: Korean language code

I am using Robohelp 8 to build Korean HTML and Web Help file
When I selected Project Setting- Language - Korea(Korea),  there is folder name ko_KP created under !Language! folder.
My understanding is ko_KP is for North Korea.
Please would someone let me know why ko_KP is used, and NOT ko (Korea) or ko_KR (South Korea) ?
Is the above a bug in Robohelp 8 or RoboHelp only support North Korean language ?
Many thanks in advance for your answer
    Song

Hi Song and welcome to the RH community.
With RoboHelp languages there is no distinction between north and south because both speak Korean. Therefore the ko_KP folder would be created regardless of where you live.

    P.S.
Is there anyone who know the spot to ask these inquiries to Blackberry official email address?

  • Korean Language Support Package required for Reader but not Acrobat?

One of our departments on campus has created a form that is causing some users to get a message prompting them to download the Korean Language Support Package in order to fill in the form fields.
When I originally tested this in Acrobat Pro 9 I didn't get any errors.  Another user also reported the issue recently (two this week).  So we tested it again, but this time used both Reader 9 and Reader X -- both programs were generating this message to download the language pack.  The form appears to be completely in English with no Korean characters.  It uses fairly standard fonts and I didn't see any embedding or encoding issues with the fonts.
Aside from having end users download a Korean Language Support Pack to view a PDF that doesn't seem to contain any Korean, are there any other options out there without recreating the form from scratch?  Here is a list of the fonts used in the PDF.  The only types of encoding are Ansi and Identity-H (which I expanded in the SS above), with the latter fonts being embedded within the PDF.
Any ideas?  The form is linked below.  Thanks in advance for your replies.
Here is a link to the PDF

    SOLVED
While our problems differ, my solution may still be relevant.
My culprit was a rogue font in an embedded Visio drawing. I identified and located the font using the "List text using non-embedded fonts" Preflight analysis in Acrobat 9.4 Pro. I checked the encoding of each non-embedded font and discovered that Arial Unicode MS used Korean font encoding (specifically, KSCms-UHC-H). See screenshot below. Doubleclicking on one of the font properties highlighted the offending text in the pdf.
I went to that location in the source file, which happened to be in the first embedded Visio drawing (shown above). I double clicked the drawing, selected all, and selected Arial font. Then I regenerated the pdf and viewed it in Reader X. The Korean language pack error message did not appear and all Visio drawings displayed normally.
I would recommend using the Acrobat preflight tools to locate text or objects with incorrect font encoding within your PDF or form, then surgically striking (or carpet bombing) the affected location(s) in the source files with embedded/supported fonts.
    Hope this helps.

If you people have worked on any data using korean language please give me some pointers.
As if it is utf-16 then we can use,Pleas confirm me on this.

XI is unicode compatible. As long as the corresponding CodePage is installed on the Server's you should be able to deal with such integrations without any issues.

I have Adobe Reader but with the PDF convertor pack so I can create and export PDFs.  I am sending my finished PDFs to a local council and when they try to open them it comes up that they need to load the Korean Language Support Pack or something like this.  Nothing is written in Korean and I cannot get them to download this pack. Any help will be appreciated.

The Extended Font Pack for Reader XI on Windows can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5508
P.S. the latest Reader XI version is 11.0.6

  • Why can't I use Korean language on the Muse?

How come you don't support Korean language on the Muse?
I need to build a new website in Korean, but found out there is no Korean font on the Muse...

    Hi
Adobe Muse CC includes support for self-hosted web fonts. To use a specific font in your Muse site, you will need to install the system font (properly licensed for desktop use) and provide the corresponding web font files (properly licensed for use on a website).
For more details refer to : http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/using/typography.html#Working with Self-hosted web fonts
Give it a try and let us know if you need help or run into issues.

  • Are there Korean language TV programs available on Apple TV in the US?

I'm based in the United States and am looking for a device that I can use to watch Korean language TV programming that is available on the Internet on my plasma TV. Does anyone know if Apple TV has that capability? Do any of the other digital multimedia receivers support it?

I doubt the US iTunes store has much in the way or Korean language programming but being in UK I don't know for sure.
I suspect you mean stuff more generally available on internet, and if so the answer is a definite no as AppleTV can only play back compatible media from iTunes or things via iTunes Store and YouTube.
You cannot navigate say to a Korean video site and play the stuff.
You might be better off considering a small form factor PC or Mac Mini connected to a TV to access internet content.

  • Attention, Korean Language Input, very important message from a BB fan

Dear all, who cares about it !!!
Recently I bought a Z10 here in Dubai, paid full in cash. Although I am native Korean living and working in Korea, currently working in Dubai as a PM for a certain project, I have used Black Berry for over 8 years now 6th different models so far, started from black and white in mid 2000 while I was working in US.
Ok, back to Z10, I simply did not imagined that you guys are not supporting Korean language nor Japanese input when I was purchasing. Oh by the way, I am writing this message in order not to criticize, nor give any bad names of Black Berry, like I told you I have been a fan of Black Berry over so~~~~~~~~~~~~many native Korean phones made and especially designed to suit perfectly in Korean mobile environment, you don’t know what’s it like to be a BB fan and user in Korea, very much limited support, assuming that must be the reason why you guys are downsizing or pulling out from the Korea market.
Yesterday, when I was looking for a contact, I had to scroll up and down for a quite long time as most of my contacts in Google and Outlook are written in Korean, leaving me no other options but to scroll up and down, up and down, until I finally hit the one among over 900 contacts. Try it!! It is not fun especially when your boss is waiting for such a contact. That quiet moment, sweating my hand, when my boss is patiently waiting for it, here I am scrolling up and down, up and down, up and down,,,,,assuming, at least, that he was in a good mood that day, thank God!
You know, after all, all I need to do is to spend another several hundred dollars and get used to a different OS environment, but once I do, it will take much harder for me to come back to BB unless I have exceptionally good reason to do so.
I am not asking for awesome WORDS FLY INPUT OPTION for Korean (which I would love to), but let me just simply find my contact by typing in a letter so that I won’t be embarrassed in front of my boss or co-workers. Now, people make fun of my loved BB, because of that simple incident and I don’t like that I think it is absurd.
Hope you guys are getting the message, I don’t know how much longer I can wait until you come up with some solutions and I completely understand your difficulties, I guess, but let us know. If you guys are not planning to support Korean nor Japanese for a while, I need to buy a new phone today. As it is starting to cause some problems at work.
Oh by the way, have you accounted how many Korean or Japanses BB fans out there?? 20M? 30M? I don't know what you guys are doing...
Finally, some of you guys owe some answers for many BB fans out there...
    Sincerely,
From a long time BB fan, who is about to leave that reputation...
