I would like to ask if there is only "language" version of Mac OS X Leopard. I'm going to buy MacBook in US but I need support of czech special characters (ěščřž).
OS X is the same no matter where it is sold. Mac OS includes keyboards and fonts for reading and writing Czech (and has done so for many years), so you would have no problem doing that.
Leopard also includes system localizations (menus and dialogues) in 18 languages but not Czech. See the tech specs:

    its simply excellent supporting Hindi language
    That is good news -- I thought it still had bugs with Hindi. Does it show the correct display for item 10 on this page?

    The full version of Apple's OS X does not yet come with font support for Telugu either, so it may be a while before the iPhone does.

  • Assamese language India in Adobe PageMaker 7 in Windows 8.1 Pro x64 environment

    How can I type 'Assamese language, India' in Adobe PageMaker 7 in Windows 8.1 Pro x64 environment ?
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-performance/assamese-language- india-in-adobe-pagemaker-7-in/3f97fbde-332c-48f1-a7f0-62f617af8fde

    You will run into many problems as pagemaker is obsolete. It really only runs under win xp. Some people claim they can get it to run on windows 7, 8 but often run into problems when it comes to printing/pdf creation.
    The other problem is that pagemaker will only support the first 255 characters in a font, which severely limits it's usefulness. There was a middle eastern version of pagemaker with special fonts, but I don't think it's still available.
    I would look into Indesign, but research the language support before commiting to Indesign, as it may require some additional software, and or workarounds. Post your question in the Indesign forums.

  • Support for Malayalam language

    I wish to buy a Mac. Whether there any support for Malayalam language there? If so which unicode version is using?

    Good News! While reading the features of the upcoming OS X Lion, I found extended language support, including Malayalam! The fonts are probably the same as those by nickshanks, but they might be different since the original fonts were made for iOS devices.
    Expanded language support
    Twenty new font families for document and web display of text provide support for the most common languages in the Indian subcontinent, including Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Sinhala, and Telugu. Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Urdu, and Tamil have been expanded. And three new font families support Lao, Khmer, and Myanmar.

  • Telugu language

    I'm trying to convert a pdf file to word.  It is in the Telugu language.  I find when I convert it -- it's  gibberish.  I need to see it in the Telugu fonts.  How do I do that???

    Ask in the Acrobat forum. I'm not even sure if the OCR function supports it in any way, simplified or otherwise...

  • Support for Asian Languages

    Well, it looks like support for Asian Languages in Dynamic
    Textfields wasn't included in this version as well. I have a simple
    flash file embeded in an html file with 2 text boxes. Here's the
    code I'm using:
    var strJapanese = "あらわせて"
    var strChinese = "我想你";
    japanese_txt.text = strJapanese;
    chinese_txt.text = strChinese;
    I currently have these fonts installed in the \Windows\Fonts\
    directory:
    mingliu.ttc
    msgothic.ttc
    but all I see is a bunch of squares in the text boxes. I have
    verified that my pocket pc can use these fonts in other programs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    BackBayChef

    I used both the options but no one helps. Check the images for the understanding the problam. I try Arial unicode ms as other font  but it does give correct visiblity of font.
    tell some another option.

    This actually isn't controlled by Active Directory but by the core operating system and its language packs.

  • How to type in Telugu language in Indesign CS6

    I want to make use CS6 for DTP work in one Indian Language,namely Telugu. In     the dropdown list , I select ,say Bapuscript,which is a Telugu language font. When I start typing , using  Phonetic notation , I get only Pink color rectangular boxes,and not Telugu language  characters as expected. What should I do to get Telugu characters in  the Document. Somebody may please throw some light. Thanks

    Which language version of InDesign are you working with? Also, what OS  and what type of keyboard are you using? I only use the North American English version with the standard keyboard, and if I choose (for example) Geeza Pro in InDesign, I get the same rectangles with pink highlight that you are getting. The pink generally means that the font is missing or unactivated, but in this case, I think it's slightly different. The rectangles are placeholders for keystrokes that the font doesn't have assigned glyps for. The Geeza Pro font has glyphs that I can access via the Glyphs pallet (Type>Glyphs), but my keyboard isn't set up to access those glyphs directly, so the keys that I type are mapped to those rectangles. If I knew what I was doing, I could probably switch my keyboard settings and/or use a different keyboard and be able to access those glyps directly, but that's beyond my abilities. Then again, it could be that my version of InDesign wouldn't be up to the task either, but I don't know.
    There are some users on this forum who will give you a more complete answer, but until they reply, I thought this little bit of info may help you. Sorry that it isn't more.

  • About windows 10 supporting indian regional languages. especially on phones.

    I'm presently using lumia series phone which has windows 8.1. And does not support many indian languages. But the pc version of windows 8.1 supports the aforesaid. Hence the windows 10 is universal OS across devices, will that support indian languages
    on all those devices?? Moreover, i'm requesting you to develop a typing software for indian languages as like as google input tools.

    Hi,
    Since Windows 10 final edition is not released, it's hard to say if Windows 10 or Windows Phone10 support Indian language. However, if you have any suggestion with Windows new product, you can post your suggestion by using Windows Feedback in Windows 10.

  • InDesign Unicode support to Indian Languages

    Now a days, most of the applications are supporting Unicode Indian Languages. But till today Adobe is not fully supporting this. The hyphen part is not there, some of the characters can not be typed directly, some conjuncts character do not form ... We tried to use the "Adobe World-ready single-line composer" in Paragraph style - Justification, using scripts. This is not documented any where in Adobe! It is high time that Adobe should support Indian language unicode in their applications. Many of the other application are only supporting Unicode. So please take up this as urgent one.

    Try IndicPlus from MetaDesign Solutions. This is an Indian Company and may be able to help you. They had developed a composer in InDesign which they used to ship for InDesign CS2 and CS3 and then abanodoned development on it when Adobe Released World Ready Composer. IndicPlus shipped for CS4 and CS5 is now based on World Ready Composer but still thay are maintaining IndicPlus for CS2 and CS3 based on their in-house developed composer.
    You can talk to them and check if they are willing to extend their previous composer and resolve some of the issues related to Indian Typography.

  • How to contact Apple support in Germany from India ?

    how to contact Apple support in Germany from India ? The number mentioned on the apple support page for German support is not reachale from India. if anyone has been successful in contacting apple support teams in another country, Kindly suggest.

    Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin, or in the case of a device purchased in an EU country, only in an EU country.
    Unless you will be visiting an Apple store in one of the EU countries before the warranty expires, you are pretty much out of luck.
    FYI, the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page provides the appropriate contact information for Apple.
