Support pdf rendering natively with the OS

The competitor OSX does it. Since many offices and enterprises move to paperless, pdf based archiving, it is a pity that WinOS does not (yet) support pdf as it does with jpg, gif, png, and other image formats.
Up to now there is no pdf preview in Winexplorer, and even worse, all the apps that deal with pdfs are in the win world limited, as compare to other os competitors. In Windows no natively pdf printing, no preview on the fly, etc.

I would suspect you have not tried reading a .PDF file on your Windows 10 TP system because there is in fact a WindowsApp called Reader as noted by MakeMeLaugh that does indeed read .PDF files.

1) The option of creating the whole thing as a LiveCycle form means that you need to convert the Word document using LiveCycle Designer. The import utility won't preserve the fidelity of the Word document the way printing to the PDF print driver does. It will likely require a fair bit of tweaking in Designer to get it looking like you want. You will likely get frustrated, since Designer is not a word processor.
2) You can create PDF forms in Acrobat without launching LiveCycle Designer. While they look the same to a user as forms created with LiveCycle Designer, behind the scenes they are very different. When you create a form in Acrobat you overlay fields on top of an existing PDF document that you had previously created using the PDF print driver. There is an extensive scripting model for these "Acroforms". The technology pre-dates LiveCycle yet Adobe continues to improve the two forms models in parallel. In Acrobat, open a PDF and select tools-->forms-->show forms toolbar.
3) I recommend this option if it's feasible. I don't know what you mean by "doesn't show up in a flow". If you're going to use the form in Acrobat 7, then save it as Acrobat 7 compatible in LiveCycle Designer. This is one of the options in the Save As dialog of LiveCycle Designer.

Cross your fingers and hope.
Obviously if there is any big or known threat Apple will send out a firmware fix.
But the TC is designed to be end user simple device. It has no firewall that is visible at any rate. I don't know that it truly doesn't have a firewall but it is not part of the end user controls.
IMO if you have major security concerns that go beyond end device firewall, which is where Apple do put most of the security, since firewall in the router is plainly not a stop to anybody deliberately downloading an infected file or website, and most end users.. do not want a firewall that prevents them using the web like a business does, where only certain ports are allowed. Everything else tough luck.. you are not allowed to use it. Then TC is unsuitable for you anyway.. buy a proper firewall appliance.

Generate a PDF from SmartForm with the CRM_PDF_PRINT ICF Service

Has anyone used the ICF Service /sap/crm/crm_pdf_print to convert a SmartForm into a Adobe Acrobat PDF file dynamically in the CRM web client?
Weu2019re using CRM 5.2 with the Web-client UI and want to generate a Print Preview of an existing SmartForm .
From what I can tell, there doesnu2019t appear to be any other way to set up previewing a SmartForm from the Web-client by configuration ( using the Action Framework ) in our version of CRM (OSS Note 1323062 only applies to CRM 6.0 & 7.0)

How to name a pdf file automatically with the current file name

We constantly pick up old ID files, save as, revise and rename. The problem is that when I pdf ID remenbers the original file name not the new one. Is there a way for it to select the new name without retyping it.

ID will change the PDF name with the name change of the file until you change the PDF name manually. At that point you're stuck with it.
To clear it out, export to IDML, open and save with the appropriate name and NEVER change the PDF name again. If you do, don't save the InDesign file afterward.

How do I match the printed pdf page breaks with the page breaks from the online form?

The online form is setup to be 4-5 separate pages...each page going to a different person/group when it is printed in a pdf. However, when the form is printed, it prints out all the blanks and the forms are off by about a half page.
Is there any way to not print the blank spaces (I have several boxes hidden based on choices of the user), and to make the printed pdf honor the online page breaks?

When you are viewing the "Design" while authoring your form there is a "View" setting that you can access from the "View" menu along the top right, or from the dropdown at the bottom right corner, if you change from "Web View" to "Page View" you can add page breaks there that will affect the PDF.
Page View is an authoring view to design for PDF where Web View is an authoring View to design for web/browser/HTML forms. You can use both so that your form looks good in both web and PDF. Some features have to be added/edited in Web View because they are not supported in PDF such as Attatchments and Skip/Page logic, those are not available to add/edit in Page View. The Page Breaks added in Web View are not used in the PDF, in Page View "Implicit page breaks" are added automatically based on the size of the page in PDF and you can add "Explicit page breaks" using the form field toolbar as you did in Web View (which will only be used in the PDF).
When you ask if there is any way not to print the "blank spaces" you are referring to the questions that had remained hidden based on skip logic right? At this time the entire form is saved/printed to PDF, there is not an option to omit those hidden fields.

Is there a Final Cut tutorial pdf to go with the footage on the DVD

As you might imagine I'm new to all things mac just coming to final cut from Premiere Pro. When I was installing FCP Studio 2 the other night I could have sworn it mentioned a PDF tutorial to go with the content on the Apple Pro Training Final Cut Studio DVD Tutorial disk that was included with the install disks. My question is: Did I just misunderstand and there is nothing to go with the dvd ? Or is it somewhere and I just can't find it?

Share via E-Mail redline a PDF file jointly with the clean DOC file

For professional use I do need a script or an automatic workflow to achieve that a file such I have modified in Change Tracking Mode, is »Shared via Email« as (a) a PDF file showing the changes, and (b) jointly with a clean version DOC file (all changes and comments accepted).
Do you know, how to achieve such preferably at »one click«?

It should be possible to write an applescript that does it, but it would involve quite a lot of work. Search the forum and the internet for applescript and "tell application pages", and you will find some examples that will give you a base to build on.

How can embed fonts into a PDF? Additionally, how can I make so that the PDF then opens with the embedded font?

The second part is automatic. If you manage to embed a font (for example with Preflight in Acrobat Pro), then a PDF viewer should use that. In some cases a locally installed font of the SAME NAME might take preference, which is only a difficulty if a private edited font is used.

The scenario is scheduled to run each hour. It failed with "Error during Scenario launching" at 'Aug 7, 2010 12:12:51 AM', then successed at 'Aug 7, 2010 13:12:51 PM' and so on without stop-start agent. It just failed with no hint and "self-repared" then.
At mean time, I found the agent process occupied to much virtual memory. It just took more then what ODI_MAX_HEAP setting as long as it start, and then won't release it. Really weird.

Check in either page setup or if printing dialog box, and see if set 94% which pdf is usually set to. Set to full page or full.
That's the only thing I can think of.
