Support status 10.2.0.3/4

10gR2 runs out of regular support in July 2011.
We currently still operate some databases 10.2.0.3, 10.2.0.4 and 10.2.0.5 and plan to upgrade these to 11gR2.
Are 10.2.0.3 and/or 10.2.0.4 still supported as of now (or 10.2.0.5 only)?

I found document 742060.1 in the meantime. 10.2.0.3 is out of support. 10.2.0.4 is still ok.

Hi guys, sorry for the possible waste of your time. I post this just want to know the support status of two specific hardware on my laptop, I've googled but with no result.
First it's about atheros wireless card:

This card works totally fine, except that wireless LED on the panel didn't work. I know it's not a big issue, but I just want to figure it out. There is a thread in ath5k-dev mailing list claiming that it's possible to get it work through manually edit led_pin variable in base.c. However it's nearly a year ago and I now cannot find this variable anymore in current kernel codes. Anybody with the same card have your wireless LED working?
The second one is about finger print reader on my laptop:
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 08ff:2810 AuthenTec, Inc.
Thinkwiki.org said(also a year ago) it is not supported yet. What about now?

It is possible to work-around the issue, but some manual steps are needed:
1. delete "smihlp.sys" from "c:\program files\thinkvantage fingerprint software"
2. run "services.msc" and stop the service "Windows Biometric Service"
3. delete the file "031D23AD-15AF-4e25-B7B3-DE34893097ED.DAT" from "c:\Windows\system32\WinBioDatabase"
4. reboot the computer (important!!)
5. now try to enroll some fingers
This should make it possible to enroll fingerprint and use it to log into Windows, until the bug can be fixed in some future version of BIOS and/or Fingerprint software.

I called Apple support for iTunes Store and created a support case for my issue. Is there an online way to lookup the case by case number to check on its resolution? Thank you

To be honest, I don't actually believe the APP is necessary for residents in the UK (and, to an extent, the EU) - unless telephone technical support, mail-in repair service and 'immediate' Apple Store or Authorised Apple Service Provider repair service are required. Current legislation provides UK residents with up a potential six years of protection (other EU residents get two years). For me I'd prefer to put money into a dedicated insurance policy or extending a home contents policy to cover for events like theft, accidents etc.
That said, if I was not a UK/EU resident, AppleCare would be an essential purchase for me.

Oracle's strategic direction is based around Java/SOA/ADF - this is the technology on which Oracle's future business applications, Fusion, are built. However, if Forms is still meeting your needs then there is no reason to move off of it.
We've hopefully made this clear in our tools statement of direction (on otn.oracle.com/products/forms).

Airport problem with iMAC 27" and serious service support for indonesia

i can't seem to get any help from anywhere else. so i try to post it here.
i tried to call the apple store (indonesia) which i bought this imac 27" from. got transfered 4 times and i had to explain it to them all over. in the end i got to speak to the technician and i asked whether i can get a replacement and they don't think it's the correct solution and leave me hanging here.

i called the apple support on the apple.com (0018 03061 2009 for indonesia) today wednesday 19 may 2010, time 1:12pm indonesia local time (GMT +7) i didn't get the guy's name but i can tell he's Indian from the accent, i told him what the problem is, he told me to wait, i waited for 10 minutes and he hung up on me at 1:24pm. please check on the record, because i was told the whole conversation was recorded.
so, let's go to the problem:
i can't share my internet with airport built-in in my imac 27".
I'm using ZTE usb hsdpa modem connected to the imac. (fyi, my friend is using the same exact modem and internet provider and don't have any problems with internet sharing using his macbook)
i tried to share the internet through the airport express simply with these steps:
1. open the system preferences, internet sharing,
2. connection with "ZTE usb modem", and the box next to "Airport" is ticked
3. turn on the internet sharing
4. press start
5. yes the firewall is off.
and these are what i'm having right now:
1. the airport symbol wont turn into an arrow
2. when i open the network preferences, it says: AirPort is turned on but is not connected to a network. (color is orange not green)
3. i searched the wireless network with my ipod touch and i found nothing
4. if i try to "create a network" here's what it says "There was an error creating your computer-to-computer network."
5. this are the details on the airport card:

If you have anything configured in System Preferences/Network/Airport then you have conflicts configured into the network. I suggest that you start from the beginning. Do not assume anything. Do not take any short cuts. Start fresh.
Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing turn off Internet Sharing. Go to Sys Prefs/Network, highlight AirPort and press the - symbol below to remove the AirPort interface. Now press the + symbol and create a new AirPort Interface. In the new AirPort interface do not turn on AirPort. You should only select the box to show AirPort Status in the menu bar. Now press Apply.
Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing and follow the steps 1 through 11 in my first post.
In step 11 Sys Prefs should ask you to turn on AirPort. Turn it on. It should next ask you to start Internet Sharing. Start Internet Sharing.
The AirPort Status in the menu bar should show AirPort is on and have an arrow pointing up. In the AirPort Status dropdown menu it should show AirPort is ON, Internet Sharing is ON and it should show the name of the Internet Sharing network that you created.

Certification status of Oracle 10g server on windows 7

I'm trying to understand if Oracle 10g server is certified on windows 7, but I have found conflicting informations.
Note 952302.1 "Is Microsoft Windows 7 certified to install/run Oracle Database Server/Client ?" says :
"Microsoft Windows 7" certification will begin with "Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.x)". That means, Oracle Database 11gR2 will be the first Oracle Database product certified/supported to install/run on "Microsoft Windows 7".
Oracle also planning to certify "10.2.0.5 Client" on Windows 7. Please refer following article for further information

Note 1061272.1 "Statement of Direction: Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Client (10.2.0.5) with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" has only informations related to oracle 10g CLIENT.
So far, so good: Oracle clearly says that only oracle 10g client is certified on windows 7...
However, if I look for info in the "certification" tab in Metalink I found conflicting informations. I have build a matrix looking for:
Product: "Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition"
Release / version: All release / Versions
Platform / Version: "Microsoft Windows (32 bit) > 7"
Tier: All tiers
And - surprise!- I see that Oracle 10gR2 is in the "Extended Support" status !
The certifications detail says that Oracle 10.2.0.5.0 is required, and that "11gR1 database and client and 10gR2 database certification are not planned for Windows 7" !
This is really a mess!
Did you found some clearer documentations ?
How can we shed some light on this topic?

Solaris 11 support?

Hi everyone,
anyone knows about the support status of OAS4OS? Is it still an active product?
I'm asking because there seems to be no support for Solaris 11. So it's not possible to migrate Solaris 10 servers which authenticate against OID (11) to Solaris 11.

For future reference, this may not be the best forum to use for Solaris Zones related questions... but, in this case, legacy branded zones (Solaris 8, Solaris 9, and Linux) are only supported on Solaris 10. This is documented here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23824_01/html/E24456/glhcg.html

I have sent my iPhone for repair, but the case has the wrong description, I have called and talked to Apple Support, and told them the actual case and they told me thats what it was for and my Warranty covered it.. When will I get a new iPhone or mine?

I filed for a case and my One-Year warranty is still available until Jne 2014 , somehow the description in the case is mixed up and says it was cracked or dropped, but the real reason is the Audio goes out on my iPhone 5 after the iOS 7.1 update every 20 minutes and I have to restart it. I talked to apple support and they told me my warranty will cover the audio issue, but it still doesn't say that in the repair description. How can I see that? or will they already know? Apple has told me that they will, but I don't want it to be mixed up and me have to pay for something and it not being my fault.

Besides checking the support status assuming you filed the case with your Apple ID, there is nothing more you can do. Nobody here knows that as nobody here works for Apple. We are users like you. Apple does not monitor this forum. You will have to contact Apple support for the information if you cannot get it the way I described.

Ieee80211w (Management Frame Protection) support

Hi,
I am trying to use Yosemite / Mavericks and iPhone last iOS version with an AP with Management Frame Protection active.
When I don't activate it I can connect to my AP (802.1x - EAP-TLS certificate)
As soon as I activate it, it is impossible to connect and I receive a Connection Error.
I have tried to do the same from a different system OS and it is working.
Is there an official support or un-support status of this technology or something in the roadmap?

I also would like to know if there is a plan for iOS devices to support 802.11w (Protected Management Frames), or maybe even a plan to let App Store developers offer this feature (assuming it is technically feasible and no official iOS support is planned)?
My home router, and almost all of my devices are now able to use this feature; my iOS devices are the last major holdouts.
Given the tactics known to be used by malicious actors and even companies trying to extort wifi fees (i.e. Marriott), I would really prefer to be able to use protected management frames without having to create a separate AP just for my iOS devices.
I have really been pleased to see Apple's increased awareness and support of their users' security and privacy needs. I hope that increased support will extend to this issue as well.

3rd party software in DOM-0 supported ?

we plan to deploy OracleVM on HP hardware with MSA SAN. Usually we install HP PSP (Proliant Support Pack) on the machines to configure and monitor them. Also PSP contains cpqacuxe (array configuration utility) used to configure the MSA SAN storage (add LUN's etc.). This tool is needed if you want to configure the MSA. I think this is a very common setup ( .. ok others may use IBM, but here you need different tools).
Also we usually monitor servers with system monitoring software (nagios / HP Openview etc.).
Oracle VM is based on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 which is a RHEL5 clone (like CentOS) so I expect that the HP PSP packages for RHEL5 work on Oracle VM DOM-0.
Does anyone know what the Oracle support status is in regards to installed 3rd party software like system monitoring agents and hardware drivers / tools is ?
Unfortunately the documentation only mentions support for Host and Client OS.
Any hint would be appreshiated.

Support Hardware Tracking

Is there someplace in my cisco login where i can track all my UCS hardware serials and their support status?
this seems so basic. i see i can add devices when i search for software but thats about it.
i cant seem to find this part of the support portal anywhere.

yes we leverage UCS manager. but we also have standalone UCS rack mount servers as well as network gear.
Is there no inventory tool to provide this data? or a area in the cisco portal to put serial numbers and check warranty data?
Cisco Service Contract Center (CSCC) seems to be for resellers. they dont seem to have anything useful for end customers.
Smart Call Home seems to have some of the features i'm looking for, but i'm not sure if im licensed for it.

870A-G54 rev 3 Buldozer support

Hi , i'm confussed , i bought 3 month's ago this board , when i choosed this board i entered on msi webpage and i readed "870A-G54" there is nothing about revision , few min ago i entered this page second time and what i have read "870A-G54 (FX)" WT* is going with msi ,they saying that your board will support octa core < then i bought one and after months change model of mobo ?. While buldozer comeout msi will say "teoriticaly" your board support buldozer but the revision NO!. Can i request to change my mobo model to new revision without buying new board , i have 2years varranty and bought document ... (send my board to msi and wait for FX rev of my board) -.-....?

Again, not sure what you are talking about. The fact that no revision was mentioned, does not mean that they promised Bulldozer support. What does the one thing have to do with the other. When you checked the CPU Support list a few month ago, I am sure that no Bulldozer CPU was listed in it.
Whatever the case may be, please note that when you check the specifications of the board, you will see a big red note on the top telling you the following:

In any case, I checked the BIOS changelogs for your mainboard. It contains fixes like this:
