Support Videos don't match Recipebox version
Trying to get Recipebox Version 2.5.3812.27772 on my 600-1055 to talk to me. The support video displays a panel of commands at the left side of the window. There is no such panel in my version of RecipeBox.
Is there a newer version of RecipeBox available?
Is there some application or setting that I must execute to upgrade RecipeBox to display these commands?
I was able to execute Hewlett--Packard>TouchSmart>RecipeBox>SpeechTraining.
The video also mentions a Settings button, but I can't find one.
The support videos are great, but they don't seem to apply to my version of the software.
I received the following comment from HP Support that may be of interest to Canadians:
"after going through the previous email interactions you had with us, I see that you were asked to for perform System Recovery to resolve the Recipe Box issue and you are quite apprehensive to perform the same.
Since you have installed sp46229.exe succesfully on your computer, reinstalling the operating system and the recipe box application would not fix the talking option availabe in recipe box application (United States version only).
The Recipe box application version available is 2.5.3812.27772 in HP website and I suggest to wait for the future recipe box update which may have the talking option in the recipe box interface."
It would appear that the above version of the software supports the talking option in the USA, but it doesn't support it in Canada. It might be an idea if HP were to support the ABOUT option to make it easy to determine the software version. It might also be an idea to have different software version numbers for different countries, and make it clear to the user what options a particular version supported.
I keep hearing about different licencing restrictions for different countries - why has this information been kept a secret?

Why flv videos don't show in version 5.3?
I have bought Keynote 09 5,3 few days ago
when I want to show an old presentation (Keynote old version) with flv videos, don't show the images. Only works audio!!! ??If these are "modern" .flv files that use H.264 video then you'll need a helper app like Perian to play them using QuickTime.

Audio & video don't match on burned blu-ray
Thanks to everyone on this forum, I was able to solve the blue screen of death issue!
Now a new problem: I successfully burned a blue ray. The menus work well and the picture is great, but the audio is about 20 seconds ahead of the video on all tracks. This problem only occurs on the finished blu-ray disc. In preview, the audio and video match perfectly.
I am using Encore version 6.0.1.13
Does anyone have this issue?

But, if your video is showing as being untranscoded, I would agree that "something" is going wrong while transcoding
If you click on the 622722 link I provided, you "should" be able to figure out how to export out of Premiere Pro to create a file that Encore does not need to transcode
Otherwise, you'll have to wait for someone who uses assets like yours to create a BluRay to come along and, hopefully, point out what you need to change
These may not help, but they are a couple of links I saved about audio/video sync problems

Audio and Video Don't Match - HELP
So I have imported some footage from my iPod Nano into iMovie. I drag it ALL into the box above to edit, then play a bit to make sure it's viewing fine. The first minute or two is fine, but then the audio and visual part start to not match up. I know I can seperate the audio from it, but then I am unable to make all the jumpcuts, cutting out audio as well.
Hoping someone can help me as soon as possible. This is a vlog for my YouTube channel. Thank you!

Try to rerecord the video firewire to firewire to another recorder and record it to your FCP. -
Video and audio don't match for purchased movies in iTunes
I recently purchased several movies from the iTunes store, but when I play them in iTunes the video doesn't match the audio. If I pause the movie, it will sync for a short while, then will not match again. I've tried disabling the Direct 3D video acceleration in QuickTime, but that didn't fix the problem. I've seen this posted a number of times in this forum, but didn't see any solutions. Any suggestions?
(I've updated my laptop's BIOS, video drivers and audio drivers. I've downloaded the newest versions of iTunes and QuickTime.)OK, as of CS4.1, PrPro has the capability to Import 100% DVD-compliant .VOB's. You state that your .VOB was created by by PrPro. In CS4, this is not possible. As of CS3, the DVD's MUST be created by Encore. Is this what you mean? If so, they will be 100% DVD-compliant, so the .VOB's will Import fine, and edit as well as an MPEG-2 can.
Take a look at this ARTICLE for background on .VOB's.
Now, with a 100% DVD-compliant set of VOB's, you should not have an OOS issue. Take a look at this ARTICLE for ways to correct OOS issues.
Good luck,

Video/sound don't match all of a sudden!
Adding some sound and music to a 20 minute movie using Logic. Things were fine for a while but now the video is slightly behind the audio. Can't figure for the life of me why. Any help?
many thanks for reply. but i'm finding that even if i redo it, add movie than import audio, they still don't match up and i'm sure they did in the first while that i worked on this. how weird. any thoughts are MUCH appreciated.

Embedded Flash videos don't work
Since updating Firefox to 36, embedded Flash videos don't work. HTML5 and Flash videos on YouTube work fine. I have Click-To-Play enabled (disabling it didn't help too), but instead of a grey area with the message I just see a black area where the video is supposed to be. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello everyone,
Basically, Google Chrome lags a lot when I use PepperFlash and so I have heard that disabling it and using the system flash will have better performance. I have done this but when I disable PepperFlash, the flash videos don't work as it says flash player has crashed. Also, I would like to resolve the lag and bad performance with flash videos on chrome because the video playback on Internet Explorer is a lot better than Chrome(Never thought I would have to say that) atm. A possible solution might be to install 32-Bit Chrome instead
Summary:
Flash videos lag(most likely due to PepperFlash being used according to other people)
When PepperFlash is disabled, the system flash plugin does not work in chrome as it apparently crashes every time.
I would like help on how to resolve the bad performance and be able to use the system flash plugin to have no lag on videos and livestreams.
Thanks,
Talha

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/934607]''Can you open up your Real Player and tell me what version you have? I think Real Player 15.0.6 is supposed to fix this problem. There was a conflict between Real Player and Flash this whole summer that broke Flash videos. Real Player released a update that might help in your case.
If that doesn't help, I think a addon might be to blame here. So do this:
<br> '''Firefox button <img src=https://support.mozilla.org/media/uploads/images/2012-03-27-09-22-48-1204f1.png> > Help > Troubleshooting Information'''
<br> (or '''Tools > Help > Troubleshooting Information''')
Then click the "Copy all to clipboard" button then paste it here. It will tell us what addons you have installed and I can see which one might be causing problems. -

I've been using Premiere Elements 9 for a couple of years now, and a few months ago I began having problems importing AVI files created from a BlackMagic Intensity Pro capture card. (These issues were not previously occurring, and since they surfaced, I have exhausted the various settings for the BlackMagic card, used various software such as BlackMagic's own Media Express as well as the freeware VirtualDub, and still have the following problems.)
In addition, these AVI files play just fine, in their entirety, using Windows Media Player and in Quicktime.
The problem (or possibly two, but I suspect they could be related) is that most of the AVI files I attempt to import will either (1) import all video and NO audio, or (2) import ONLY a short segment of audio and video, and the length that Elements imports varies. Usually only in the range of a minute or two. The rest of the file is not imported at all.
After much digging in forums, and testing various settings in trying to figure out the issue, I decided to back up all of my files and completely wipe all hard drives and start over with a fresh installation of Windows and Premiere Elements 9. I haven't installed much else yet, as I wanted to first find out if the reinstallation improved things with Elements.
For the first project I created in Elements after the reinstallation, Elements successfully imported an entire AVI that was nearly 2 hours long, audio and video. This was a file that previously would not import properly into Elements. This suggested that my earlier installation of Elements must have been corrupted somehow. At this point I was very hopeful that all was well.
I proceeded to edit the video as I had wanted, saved the project, and exported it to an MPEG format file. I had originally wanted to export it as an MOV, but I hadn't yet installed Quicktime, so Elements couldn't do that just yet. The MPEG export was successful and plays fine.
However, I then installed Quicktime, and once it was finished, I restarted the PC and reloaded the same project. This time, Elements claimed the media was offline. I double-clicked on a segment of the video, and directed Elements to the raw file, but then an error message popped up: "The selected file cannot be linked because its type (video) does not match the original file's type (audio and video)." This was the same file I had JUST edited and of which I created an MPEG.
I tried creating a new project and the "Get Media" function to import the AVI again, but this time only the video imported with NO audio. (This would explain why the error message said what it did, but not why the audio wasn't imported.)
What in the world is going on with Elements??? I am baffled since the ONLY task I have done on this machine after a complete reinstallation of both Windows and Elements is edit one AVI. I find it very hard to believe that just installing Quicktime caused this.
Some info on my system:
System: Asus P6T w/ Intel i7 920 and 12 GB memory
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Video Software: Premiere Elements 9
Capture Card: BlackMagic Intensity Pro (PCI-e)
Capture Software: AVIs recorded with either BlackMagic Media Express or VirtualDub (only prior to the reinstallation, as neither of these programs are currently installed)
I'm getting to the point with Elements that I might need to just abandon it and find something else that is more reliable. Anybody have suggestions to help with this, so I won't have to migrate?mtnsports
We think that we need to start off with definiting the properties of these .avi files that you are importing into Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 (assumed that you are working for the required 9.0.1 Update).
You say that the "avi" was created from a "BlackMagic Intensity Pro capture card". What are the properties of this .avi that you imported into Premiere Elements? Not all .avi are created equal. What is the video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, interlaced or progressive, pixel aspect ratio, typical duration?
Based on the properties of the video what have you been setting as the project preset?
Let us start here.
More later.

I've successfully imported the videos I've shot with my iphone5 into iphoto on my MacBookPro but they're only showing up as still shots, ie the imported videos don't play! Itunes no longer opens automatically when syncing, and when I open itunes it shows that there are zero "home movies" in there, meaning that it never grabbed the videos from my phone either. What to do? Thanks!

Really?
There was a short version expressly for people who weren't bothered to read a myriad of text.
Meh, not that it matters anymore. I ended up redownloading 70-odd albums, so I have the bulk of my music back. And I still have no idea what iTunes did with my files, but I'll make sure it never does it again.
I would thank you for the help but you were utterly useless. Oh well, carry on.
