Supported Java/Servlet/JSP versions -- where would you look

Hello,
If you wanted to know what versions the IDE supports for developing web apps, where would you look first? second?

I first looked in the Installation and Release document - http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/docs/2/Installation_ReleaseNotes_2_1-en.html
then I tries the Creator API Specification page - http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/reference/docs/apis/
then I fired up JSC and looked in the Help - About - Detail panel
but three strikes and I'm out! :)

  • Message "to open MLBNexDefAutobahn, you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?"  I click "not now" and it pops open a second later.  It won't go away.  Help!

I keep getting a pop up window labled Software Update saying, "To open 'MLBNexDefAutobahn,' you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?" I click on "Not Now" and it pops open again a second later.  It is not going away! Is this a Java virus? I just installed Maverick Wednesday and got a message yesterday on google that "Google would like to take over this computer"??? Please help.
    Thanks!

This is not a virus, or any other kind of malware. Some third-party software that you have installed is repeatedly trying to open a Java process called MLBNexDefAutobahn. What that software might be, I don't know. What software do you have that this name might fit with?

  • Where would you check performance of webi? query is taking long time to run

    Hello All,
In the bex query world running on portal you were able to go to sm50 and check what the query is doing and where it is taking a long time or atleast you were able to see the processes runing.
Where would you check the running processes when you are running a webi query, we are trying to write a webi report which is on universe which is created on bex query. The report is very simple just two fields and an mandatory variable which is coming from bex query (have defined the variable in bex query). When we exeute the query it is taking a long time just spinning and I am not getting any data back, on the same query before even hitting the run query button, I am trying to put a object in query filters and set the filter as In list from Value(s) from list and it is taking forever to set that filter.
Can we go to CMC or BW backend and check anywhere we are using sap authentication, I see the number of sessions in CMC but that is it.
    Thanks for help in advance.

Thank you both for the replies.
How would I get the MDX that is generated by the query, I remember there is a note for starting the MDX logging. Can you please let em know how would I get the MDX statement. Thanks.
Gowtham - What is the optimal array fetch size that needs to set for the universes, can you explain bit more about array fetch size?
All our universes are on BEx queries designed in SAP BW in that case does the array fetch size matter and array bind size matter? I had read this in oneof the universe designer manuals for OLAP universes The Array fetch size, Array bind size, and Login timeout parameters are not used for OLAP connections
    Thanks again for replies.

  • I have a box that will not go away, it says,  "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java SE 6 runtime.  Would you like to check for and install one?  If i push not now, it keeps popping up, if I push install, it says it's not available, help.

I have a dialogue box that will not go away and it seems to have started when I upgraded to Mt. Lion.  the box says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java 6 SE runtime.  Would you like to check for and install one?  (smaller print)  Note: Usw of this software is subject to the Software License Agreement applicable to the software you are downloading.  A list of Apple SLAs may be found here: htp://www.apple.com/legal/sla/
Finally there are two boxes to click.  One says not now.  If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away.  If I click on the second box, Install, it says  The software is currently unavailable.  To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help.  My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can.  Help.

Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

The error message reads " to open Adobe illustrator CS5.app, you need to install a JAva SE 6 runtime. Would you like to check and install one? I try to install but get the error" download error". As far as i know I'm using Adobe Java 7. None of my CS5 suite works anymore............and i really dont want to upgrade to a monthly cloud service fee as i hate this policy with a passion.

This goes for Dreamweaver CC on Mavericks!!!!! THANK YOU!
I couldn't launch Dreamweaver CC. An error told me to install "java se 6 runtime". But when I clicked  OK I got another error telling me there is a network problem! I found this forum post on CS6 products, so I tried the download link, installed java 6 and presto, it worked! Thanks!

  • Where would I look on desk top computer for back ups from iPad that tech helped me back up to try to fix my iPad?  Apple replaced my iPad but I can't find any of my photos.  Tech told me they would be on my desk top. Can u help me? Thank, MEC

Where would I look to find my back ups from my iPad onto desk top computer?  The tech. Who helped me try to repair my iPad helped me back them off the iPad onto desk top. Apple had to send new replacement iPad.  Tech told me the back ups would be on my desk top but I can't find them.  I have lost all my photos.  Can anyone please tell me where to look?  Thanks, Marti48

I think that the tech probably meant that your photos would be in the backup. If he helped you backup your iPad on your computer, then you have to restore from the backup in order to recover your photos.
Did you bring your computer with you when you got this help from the tech backing up your iPad, or did he talk you through this over the phone?

  • Cannot open Photoshop: get error: To open "Adobe Photoshop CS5.app," you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?  However installing Java SE 6 runtime does not fix nor does installing Oracle Java SE 7. Adobe says Apple is problem.

Searching the internet for solutions to this and some discussion with Adobe.
Adobe say Photoshop does not use java so it should not be asking for a java runtime.
The question is how can I stop Photoshop asking to install java since Photoshop does not need or use Java to run?
Found various links that might be helpful:
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/58203/mountain-lion-with-java -7-only/58841#58841,

    Adobe's Installing Java SE 6

However as I have Oracle Java SE 7 installed and SE 6  is deprecated and no longer supported for security reasons.
Apple is actually responsible for Java 6's security. They take Oracle's code and do whatever is needed to make it compatible with Apple's OS. Java 6 is still getting security updates from Apple. Versions 6 and 7 can also exist on the same drive. They won't interfere with each other.
Also I am assured in no uncertain terms by Chris Cox over at Adobe that Photoshop CS 5 does not use java at all and that the java error message  and so called dependency is just an error on the part of Apple.
I did find a topic where Chris stated that for CS6, which I know is true. I've installed CS6 (and CC) on a newly formatted drive in Mountain Lion, and neither made any mention of requiring Java. Could have sworn CS5.5 and earlier did you Java for a few functions. Though I likely only assumed that since that version and earlier always causes a prompt to install Java if it isn't already on the drive.
So is there any way to run Photoshop with SE 7 only installed or even better with no java installed?
It doesn't really matter much if Java is installed. Java 6 should put an app in the Utilities folder by the name of Java Preferences. Open that, and you can completely disable it by undoing the check boxes.
Perhaps there is a way to make OS X stop thinking it needs java SE 6 to run Photoshop CS 5.
Apple would have to make a change to the OS itself. It's a not a user accessible setting.

  • Does Oracle8i support Java Servlet

    Hi,
We are looking at using Oracle8i and Java's server side technologies to develop our web site. OAS proves to be disappointing on Windows 2000 just to get loaded on startup. From Sun's Java Servlet web site it said that Oracle8i alone supports Servlet 2.2 and JSP 1.1, but we can not find the information anywhere in 8i's documentations. Can anyone help? We would like to establish whether Oracle8i's JServer support the deployment of Servlet without any additional software.
Thank you very much for helping.
    Patrick.

  • Does Oracle Express support Java servlets?

I am wondering if there is any functionality in Oracle XE that lets it emulate the Oracle Application Server. I am spefically looking for mod_plsql and j2EE(or .jsp and servlet) properties. An .ear file needs to be deployed into an application in the server.
Does Oracle XE have any such service/ability?

    Hello rthome,
that is a good news for me. Can you provide a "how to" guide about XE's AQ access via AQxmlServlet. I am interested in:
    1. On which Application Server AQxmlServlet was tested?
    2. Where can I get missing jars that are not shipped with Oracle XE? (ORACLE_HOME/JDBC/LIB/nls_charset12.jar, ORACLE_HOME/lib/http_client.jar, ORACLE_HOME/oc4j/j2ee/home/lib/javax-ssl-1_2.jar, ORACLE_HOME/lib/servlet.jar, ORACLE_HOME/lib/xmlparserv2.jar, ORACLE_HOME/lib/xsu12.jar, etc.)
    3. Which JDK, JDeveloper versions where you using?
    Can you visit my topic:
    Oracle XE Advanced Queuing
and see if you could point me to an answer on my problem.
    Thanks in advance

  • Anyone have any suggestion as to where would you begin to debug this...

    I got a upload component...
It works perfectly fine in IE 8, single file upload or multi file uploading
Gives a Unhandled #2044 and a #2038 error in SAFARI and in FIREFOX
And in CHROME it just sits there doesn't even throw an error.
So how would you go about debugging this...

WOOHOO it now works, 1.5 days later...
muhahahahhahahah, don't you love it when it's something so simple...
    *sigh*
IE is a turd for working
FireFox and Safari had the right idea by throwing a error message
And Chrome, was just like me, clueless and just twiddling it's thumb...
If all the browsers threw the same error message then it would've been easier...but they all did different things so it was confusing...
    oh well back to coding...

  • Where would you find password to allow install Mac OS X

    Hi,
Just got my husband an iMac for his birthday. Trying to get it set up before he comes home. Can anyone help!

What password are you referring to, the AppleID or his login password, either way you may need to ask him for these if you are upgrading from another Mac. You can also call AppleCare, the number is in your owners manual however they may or may not be available on Sundays. You have 90 days of free telephone support, this would be an ideal time to call them.
