what is meaning of Resolution?
after closing ticket/ issue, how end user will find out?
how he can check ticket / issue status from his own status?
plz explain total cycle from ticket generation from end user and upto close ticket?

    u can use Visual Age for java which is similiar to visual studio.
    Products has facility of wizards for development virtually major areas in java jsp,servlets,EJB,Applets, swing etc..
    that too using wizards...
    In fact IBM has come up with Websphere Studio Application Developer which is more powerful tool than visual age and visual studio.

    However the NetBeans java IDE also is capable to work in UTF-8, by setting options appropiately.

    REMEDY :  It is issue management tool used by the service provider to manage their tickets/issues. The documentation you can find from your project team, but mainly the process will be as follow for managing issues:
    There are several stages from raising the ticket to close it.
    1. Creation of Ticket : Inititally user will identify the query and raise the ticket in Issue management tool.
    2. Acceptance of Ticket: Support team will response the user query saying that We acknowledge the query.
    3. Assign to Consultant: Once Ticket is accpeted by support team, they will assign to respective team
    4. Work in process: Consultant will put the status as Work in Process when he starts working on the issue,
    5. User input required : if required more information from user, consultant will change status as user inputs required.
    6. Work in process: Once user gives input, consultant will start working on that and put the status as WIP.
    7. User testing: Once solution is provided and sent for user testing
    8. User Accpetant: User will test and accept / reject the solution
    9. Completed : everything goes fine consultant / user will change status as completed
    10. Close: Support team / User will change the status as Close after completion of query.
    CITRIX: Citrix is the secured VPN connection tool through which you can access your client's system. To access the system through citrix you need to have secure ID which will generate passwords for your ID for every 30 seconds.

  • Verizon Help and Support Tool

    On the programs list on  my computer  there is a Verizon Help and Support Tool. I already uninstalled the Verizon In Home Agent as I no longer wish to have it on my computer. but I'm still getting messages to install Verizon In Home Agent updates. I don't  want to uninstall the Verizon Help and Support Tool if it is needed for something else other than the Verizon In Home Agent. Should I remove the Verizon Help and Support Tool?

    Good question.
    On page 1-18 of the 8.0 SRND we see:
    "The Analysis Manager is planned to replace Support Tools going forward as its interface is consistent across the Cisco Unified Communications
    solution."
    On page 1-19 of the same SRND we see a paragraph on Cisco Support Tools.
    In the 8.5 SRND there is no mention of Support Tools at all - but you will find reference to Analysis Manager. It refers us to the 8.5 Serviceability Guide (Feb 2011).
    So that's what we have to do.

    We are upgrading a customer from ICM 6 to ICM 7.5. Is support tools a required  application for ICM 7.5?This is a technical question - not sales or ordering related - I just need to  confirm if we upgrade to ICM 7.5, support tools is not required and there will  not be issues if we do not install it.

    Hi there,
    CITRIX, REMEDY, CLARIFY are some of the support tools used.
    All of them more or less work on the same functionality. It will look like a regular mail box. When you login into them using your login ID & password, you willl find all the open tickets along with their status.
    Assign the tickets depends on company to company. In which ever the case, when a ticket is assigned to you, you need to change the status from OPEN to ASSIGNED & then inform the user that it is assigned to you. Then change the status to ANALYSING when you are working on that. When you made the required changes, then status RESOLVED. When the user has tested it & the results are ok then status changed to CLOSED.

    Our customer is on HCM 9.1 FP2 with 8.52.03 tools. Now, they would like to upgrade to HCM 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.53
    I have found the following upgrade path on Oracle Support.
    PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.1 to 9.2 Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 1536201.1)
    The document gave the following path certification
    From Release

    Application:

    Does it mean, the template can not be used with 9.1 application on 8.5x tools?

    1. You perform Tools upgrade to 8.53.xx
    2. Then perform Application only upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2

  • Is there any tools or supported tools for codes check in/out?

    When a project is in a large scale, we usually will divide the system into several modules. Each one responsible for a module. Under such situation, when a programmer tries to modify his/her module code, the problem seems to have less impact. However, in case of development involving common files, I would like to have better control about program update to avoid the conflict of program versions (Just like the Visual SourceSafe supported by Visual Basic) Is there any tool like that?

    JDeveloper supports three SCM systems out of the box which provide this kind of functionality:
    o Oracle Software Configuration Manager (SCM) is Oracle's own source control system. It's built on the Oracle database so is highly scalable and performs well. It also has a very high level of integration into JDeveloper and has been supported in the product since JDeveloper 3.2. More information here: http://otn.oracle.com/products/repository/content.html
    o CVS, probably one of the most commonly used SCM systems around because it's free, open source and very easy to use. There's a very high level of integration for CVS in the 9.0.3 version of JDeveloper. CVS doesn't scale very well to large teams, however. More information: http://www.cvshome.org.
    o ClearCase, a popular source control system from Rational Software.
    We don't currently support Visual SourceSafe, although we're investigating the best way to provide this in the near future.

  • ThinkPads & USB + DOS boot support + tools

    Hi all.
    This post is the result of a personal effort to create my own type of recovery cd with tools and utilities. Basically, I did not want to use creations such as Hiren'd CD or DVD, PartPE etc. in order to solve backup/recovery or any other taks - under goold old DOS.
    The challenge was to be able to boot from cd (classic ATA interface = built-in the ThinkPad or USB-based).
    At the same time, I needed support for the built-in HDDs (a SSD & HDD in my case) + USB-connected HDDs (I have a WD in a Zalman case which I use as external backup or other storage needs).
    The hardware configurations on which I tested: my T61p (check signature) and my wife's R60.
    The result of the efforts is a boot file, containing DOS boot files (Win9x-based), freely available drivers (.sys files available on the Internet). Any tool can be added / removed from the CD, using an .iso editor and then re-burning the resulted image on CD-R/RW support.

    I am able to boot with my usb drive or to a bootable CD ( I'm trying to run Norton ghost to ghost the hard drive). I have no floppy in the system. The system boot ( using F11 and change the boot device) but in both situations it boots starts ghost but doesn't see the hard drive or only sees the usb drive(as the hard drive). The hard drive is sata seagate 80 gigs. I did finally give up temporarily installed a floppy to get the image but would like to make this work. I have done this with laptops and other pc's. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    BEx 7.x continues to be delivered with the next SAP NetWeaver BW releases. Currently there is no planned end of life. The maintenance period is renewed with every major BW release.
    BEx 3.5 is part of BW 3.5/SAP NetWeaver 04 and the maintenance cycle is coupled to this release (see SAP note 1410878 - SMP Login required). As BEx 3.5 is also compatible with a BW 7.0 backend and had been delivered with BW 7.0, SAP will maintain BEx 3.5 functionality within BW 7.0 and subsequent releases until the end of BW 7.0 maintenance cycle. Maintenance is not extended with BW 7.30 or other future releases. Please note that full PAM support of BEx 3.5 cannot be granted by SAP - as Microsoft has removed, e.g., support for some components within Windows 7 that had been used by BEx Web Application Designer 3.5.

    Your solution could be answered in the Cross Application Component -- Audit Management in ECC 6.0.
    You may want to check this out as it allows for Audit Planning, Audit Questions, Audit tracking.  It also utilizes MS Project and MS Excel for reporting various aspects of the Audit effort.

    IBM offers a robust tool (IBM Support Assistant) for supporting myriad products in the middleware space (web, app, db, OS network and other). Additionally, it would collect troubleshooting data, build up services cases, communicate with IBM support, install patches, compare configs, and do many other operations level tasks. It is built in a Agent/Manager/Workbench GUI model with Access Control Levels and lots of other good stuff.
    Does Oracle offer a similar tool?

    You can see Error message is SOAInfraAppNotFound. Please check servers is started properly.
