Suppress banner / logo on Printable Page

Hi,
Is it possible to suppress banner/logo printing on the Printable Page. The page I am using is a standard oracle page but has a bespoke logo and banner and when I click on the Printable Page, the top level details are overlapped by the banner and logo.
Is there a way to push the details that appear at the top to print below the banner or is there a way to stop printing the banner and logo only on the Printable page? We are on R12.1.3 (irecruitment)
Appreciate if someone can help me please.
Many Thanks,
Praveen

Hi John
You cannot do this I'm afraid. The logo that you can set for Discoverer Plus / Viewer only displays on the screen. It does not print out. Because of the not too distant interface between Discoverer and BI Publisher (thinking 4th quarter this year) I don't see Oracle losing any sleep over adding this functionality to Discoverer. This is because you will be able to do this inside BI Publisher.
In the interim, have you considered printing from Desktop? I ask because Desktop has the ability to add a bitmap image as the background to a header. You coulod create your report in Plus then edit it in Desktop to add your logo, finally printing from Desktop.
This only works in Desktop though so even if you add an image using Desktop you still won't be able to see or use it using either Plus or Viewer.
Now one caveat to this is that Desktop cannot print directly to PDF. There's always a gotcha isn't there? However, there's a workaround for this too by using one of the myriad of third-party PDF generation tools such as Amyuni or PDF Creator.
I gave a presentation on this at the recent ODTUG conference in Daytona Beach. That presentation is available for free download from my website at this address: http://learndiscoverer.com/downloads/downloads.htm If you scroll about half way down look for a paper called AutomatedScheduling.zip. That's the one and inside you will see referenced to printing to PDF from within Desktop.
Hope this helps

Michael

  • Can we add customer logo in performance document printable page in Fusion Performance management Release 9

    Can we add customer logo in performance document printable page in Fusion Performance management Release 9

    Yes - this is a BI Publisher report and you can edit the template to format per your customer requirements. I'd suggest that you save a copy of the changes to file because the report may or may not be overwritten during upgrades.

  • Logo in a printable page.

    Hello,
    I created a printable page in OAF custom page using the below code in the button's "Destination URL" property.
    OA.jsp?page=/xx/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/offier/webui/OfficePG&retainAM=Y&OARF=printable
    This brings up a printable page but i don't see the logo(which is at top left corner) in this printable page. Is there any way i can also put a logo in the printable page?
    Thanks in advance.
    -KK

    I had to create an itemtype of Image inside one of the page layouts and add the image instead of using the standard corporateBranding image to solve this issue.

  • Banner Logo Image in unstructured templates

    Hello
    Trying to get an UI template together in 3.0.8, but when I use <TD WIDTH=33% ALIGN=LEFT VALIGN=TOP>
    <IMG SRC=#BANNER.LOGO#</TD> then I get a 'missing image' place holder as well as the image chosen for the logo on the page creation screen. Can anyone shed light on what might be happening here? If I delete the image from the page edit screen then I just get the one placeholder on the displayed screen. If I take the IMG tag out of the above code then both the image and the placeholder disappear. It appears to be trying to display two images.
    I'd be grafeful for any help on this, 'cos by brow is starting to hurt from the furrowing.
    Kunnagh

    Hi,
    #BANNER.LOGO# is used to replace the logo. This is a substitution tag. You cannot use in the <IMG> tag. You should use without the <img> tag. Here is a sample. The #BANNER# and #PAGE# tags will work only if the template is used by a page.
    <HTML dir=#DIRECTION#>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>#TITLE#</TITLE>
    #PAGE.STYLE#
    #PAGE.BASE#
    </HEAD>
    <BODY leftMargin="0" rightMargin="0" topMargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" class="PageBG">
    #BANNER#
    #BANNER.LOGO#
    <TABLE>
    <TR>
    <TD><IMG SRC="#IMAGE_PREFIX#pobtrans.gif" BORDER="0" WIDTH="0" HEIGHT="4"></TD>
    </TR>
    </TABLE>
    #PAGE.SUBPAGELINKS#
    #BODY#
    </BODY>
    </HTML>

  • ACS UCP banner logo changes asistance required

    Dear all,
    I'm looking for help from ACS expert about UCP (User Change Password) the landing page banner logo changes. Your advice is very appreciated. Let me explain in details.
    My company has ended the contract with vendor back to few months ago. All the network devices included ACS are now handed over to our management. The ACS UCP (User Change Password) landing page has been changed by previous vendor from Cisco logo to their company Logo. Since now the device has been changed management. My manager would like this logo to change it back to my company logo. I had try to search through the whole ACS clickable function but no luck and try to search through Cisco link but do not find the related documents.
    Can any ACS expert to guide me or link me to the correct document what should I do to make this changes? The sample of Cisco UCP page are attached, the logo i meant is the top left corner logo. I brush it out and replace with ABC company.TQVM.
    Very very appreciate your advice.
    Regards
    Chong

    If you have the webpage directory of the UCP you can use the tools within IE, Mozilla or Chrome to find out which image is used in the webpage. This depends on how the webpage was construced meaning if a style sheet or simple html tag for the logo your are looking to replace.
    You will most likely need to restart the web server. (always keep a backup of your old config and track your changes carefully).
    You can try to ask TAC to see if they can provide assistance, but this is not supported, only the test code they provide falls within support any customization is expected to be documented on the customer's end for scenarios like this, however it doesnt hurt to ask. You can also suggest someone at your company if you have a web development team (I do not mean to sound insulting in anyway, but I myself could not build a webpage to save my life and have always found luck when my customer's provide web development code that I can play with and modify if needed).
    Mozilla -
    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Page_Inspector
    Chrome -
    http://webdesign.about.com/od/chrome/a/view-source-chrome.htm
    I.E.-

    You should be able to google for additional browsers as well.

  • Is that possible to display the user selection data in the printable page?

    Hi All,
    I'm going to add a printablepage button on my page.
    Here comes a questions.
    Is that possible to display the user selection data in the printable page?
    For example,
    I have a table in the page,with 10 records.User select 5 of them.Can I display these 5 records in the printable page?
    Please help.

    Hi Yannick,
    Thanks a lot for the information. It worked.
    The portlet data can be accessible using bindings, but parameter name can be different.
    Meanwhile I have got one more scenario, where the Portlet and Task Flow placed in different pages of WCP Application. On change of data in the Portlet the application should navigate to another page where the Task Flow placed and displays selected data.
    Basically I can not use any button for navigation. The navigation should happen once I do some action in Portlet.
    Is this possible? If yes can you please let me know the steps?
    Thanks in advance!

  • How to create  Printable page in OAF using Jdev10g

    Hi,
    I tried to create a printable page in OAF using the following steps given in devguide of OAF
    Step 1: Add a page-level button as described in the Buttons (Action/Navigation) document.
    Step 2: Assuming your button label is the standard "Printable Page," apply the OA Framework attribute set /oracle/apps/fnd/attributesets/Buttons/PrintablePage.
    Step 3: Set the button's Destination URI property to point to the current page and set the UIX facet parameter (OARF) to printable as shown in the following example (See Controlling UIX Rendering Output for additional information about facets). Remember to retain your application module.
    OA.jsp_?page=<CURRENT_PAGE>&retainAM=Y&OARF=printable_
    *my current page path is *_
    OA.jsp?page=abhi.oracle.apps.ak.employee.webui.AdbPG&retainAM=Y&OARF=printable_
    Note: Earlier versions of OA Framework recommended giving the printable page submit button the ID IcxPrintablePageButton. OA Framework detects this ID and behaves appropriately when the user presses the button. Although this still works, new code leverages the facets approach instead.
    Step 4: Set the button's Target Frame property to _blank to ensure that the printable page opens in a new window.
    but after doing this i am getting below exception.
    Exception Details._
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: The application id or shortname () you entered does not exist._
    i am new to OAF..
    can anybody guide me , how this exception can be corrected?

    Hi,
    sorry, wrong forum. This is all about Oracle JDeveloper. OAF related questions are handled on the OAF forum

  • Pages 5.2.2 - how to add a logo in the page header

    Hi, how can I add a logo in the page header of each page?!
    seems header and footer only supports text and automated page numbering only...
    I need some advise on this one
    thanks

    Add an image to any page in the section, then drag it where you want it to appear on each page.
    Reduce the opacity using the slider in the Style pane of the Format inspector to change the object’s transparency.
    Choose Arrange > Section Masters > Move Object to Section Master (from the Arrange menu at the top of your computer screen).

  • Printable Page behaviour

    Hi all,
    I have table which has 15+ number of columns and each column has width of more than 90px. When i am using printable page behaviour the printable page is showing all the columns of table but when i am extracting a hard copy out of it, i am not getting all the columns. Can there be a way through(programming) where i can define what should be the font size of printable page, so that i can have all columns on my hard copy.
    I also tried printinh hard copy with landscape mode but its not catering all the columns.

    User,
    please always tell us which JDev version you are using as the solution might depend on it.
    I'm not sure I understand your requirement fully. A hard copy is a screen shoe, so you get what you see. If the printable page behavior doesn't get the output you want, you can always use a more sophisticated report solution which give you all the control on the output you want.
    However, here are some links which might help you get started on how to change the output of the printable page behavior:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/how_to_hide_or_show and
    http://jobinesh.blogspot.de/2011/07/tips-on-using-showprintablepagebehavior.html
    Both are using the same technique.

  • Suppress a field in the page footer unless it's the last page of the group

    Hi,
    I have a report set up where one can pull invoice information.  There is a page footer used for every page which contains a field that I only want visible when it is the last page of the group.
    For example, one might pull several invoices, each invoice being its own group.  A field would be suppressed in the footer unless it is the last page of that particular invoice.
    Is this something that can be done in Crystal Reports XI?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    Alright, it's a bit rusty but here's how you can do it:
    1) Create this formula and place it in the Report Header:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar n1 := groupnumber;
    2) Create this formula and place it in the Group Footer:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar n := groupnumber;
    3) Create this formula and place it on the Page Footer:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar n;
    4) Right-click the above formula (Formula on the Page Footer) and select Format Field > Common tab > click the formula button beside 'Suppress' and use this formula:
    numbervar n1;
    numbervar x;
    if currentfieldvalue <> n1 then
      x := 1;
      true;
    else
      x := 0;
      true;
    5) Right-click the field that you wish to always suppress except on the last page and select Format Field > Common tab > click the formula button beside 'Suppress' and use this formula:
    numbervar x;
    if x = 1 then true;
    Let me know how this goes!

  • Printable page issue..

    Dear All,
    In one of our requirement i a getting error while "Printing" the page.The requirement is like below:
    In the first page we are displaying no of items list as per user selection.When user clicks on the item number we will take them to another page which has Item details.
    So in the first page link we are sending ItemNumber in the destination URI.In the second page we will do query by getting parameter Item Number.
    My problem is in the second page there is "Print" button.When i click Print it will throw exception since there is no Item Number.
    Can anyone help me how can i pass dynamically Item Number to the Printable page.
    I tried adding ItemNumber={@ItemNum} in the destination URI of the page.But the value is null :-(
    Any help.......................

    Hi,
    When you add a paramter the life will be uptill the end of the request.
    Try setting the item number value as a part if TransactionValue or SessionValue.
    The OAPageContext javadoc contains the description for the getter and setter methoods of the above.
    Thanks.
