Suppress Page eject control character...

Hello,
While generating a report in text mode, Report Builder adds a page eject control character(i.e. ctrl-l) at the end of report.
We don't want this control character. So how can this be removed ?
We are using Reports 6i.

When running a character mode report it uses a .prt file to determine the printer escape characters. There is a dflt.prt which contains the page break character value. If you remove this then you will remove the page breaks from your character output.

When I enter any dashboard pages, (not the login page...) it would error about "invalid control character 0 at position 7".
I press the "Backspace" button. (I keep a same brower and same session.)
Then I enter same dashboard. It doesn't mention about the error message. -_-; It works....
What's the points is...

Except... If I wanna the any dashboard, I would enter the page twice.

Stop page eject at specified page height

I am using report bulider 6i. I am unable to stop page eject after a 4 inch high page. Any source of program control in plsql, bulit in SRW modules or SQLJ will help.
Manual printer settings are out as same printer will print A4 size reports as well
Using an EPSON LQ1050 , 24 pin, 240 cps
All insights are welcome

I have the same problem. I modified the existing report and somehow the report prints a page break at line 66. Do you have any inputs?

Suppress page in FR Fusion 11.1.2.507

I have a report based on one grid that has an organization dimension in the page. no point of view and other dimensions in columns and rows. I would like to suppress the pages where the org has no values. is there a way to suppress pages? Thank You

When you run the report on Workspace, you would still see the list of organization dimension members on your drop-down list, but when you select a member with no data, the report should be blank.

How to tell if the AE programm is called from (1) SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST or (2) page run control request

We just wrote an AE program and is called through the vanilla SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST.
It's running on a daily basis ie. with RECURRENCE.
Now we need to call the same program through the regular page run control request.
But we are not how to recognize from inside the AE program if whether it's been called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST or RUN CONTROL REQUEST.
Any of you might have suggestion ?
Any technique or workaround is also appreciated.

This AE pgm is currently automatically called from SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST on a daily basis to load data from an input file deposited on the server ready for pickup.
We would like to use the same AE pgm ( thus using the same validation and loading logic ) to load the same file format but defined by the user ( via attachment load ) as needed any time during the day.
The user will initiate this AE pgm online ( ie. from a page with his parameters ).
Currently, the pgm now already runs automatically daily and we wish to make it also available to be run by user anytime in the day
To achieve that, we would need to know:
Is the AE pgm ran by (a) the user or by the (b) SYSTEM PROCESS REQUEST so that the program can decide of where to take input file.
(a) Take from an attachment defined by user or (b) from the input file already deposited on the server for pickup
That is the reason why we try to detect who called the AE pgm in order decide where to pickup the input file.
Your help is much appreciated as I do researches but so far haven't gotten a concluded decision.

Suppress Pages in Report 2.0

Is there a way to suppress pages that have no data, in Reports 2.0.1Example, There is an HR department in New York but not one in Houston, yet reports prints out a blank page for Houston HR (when you page-break on department). I am having problems similar to what you describe and as described in the locked topic "Page not viewable in Safari." I can't tell you how relieved I am to discover that it is not me! The problem is somewhat intermittent - occasionally my web page will open correctly, but I can't correlate it to any specific action I have taken. Here are the details:
I have a domain name registered with GoDaddy with forwarding & masking to my .Mac account.
I created the homepage for my site using a .Mac template, modified it in Contribute 3 and saved it in the appropriate folder in my Sites folder.
Everything was working fine: when I entered my domain name in Safari 2.0.2, my site's home page opened. Suddenly, a few days ago, it stopped working with Safari (I verified the problem on my husband's Mac). The domain address appears, it doesn't connect to the .Mac page and I get a blank screen. I then did the Java update. After restarting my Mac, I was able to open my page in Safari...once...then it stopped working again. I sent a Safari bug report to Apple.
Everything continues to work fine in Internet Explorer.

CRM 2015 Xrm.Page.ui.controls.forEach bug on inactive record.

There is a bug in CRM 2015 whereby if you have Xrm.Page.ui.controls.forEach on a deactivated record, it sets the value of the statuscode back to an active one. This means that if you do an Xrm.Page.getAttribute("statuscode").getValue() afterwards
it will return an incorrect value. The screen remains correct and the isDirty flag is not set so doesn't force a save.
To recreate this issue. On an entity with a status code on the form have the following script on the page load. Deactivate the record and refresh the page....

Remove unicode control character

hey, so i've asked this around a few places and recieved no answers, but the arch community seems like a bunch of smart people and i've recently switched over from ubuntu.
is there a way to remove input methods and unicode control characters from the context (right-click) menu? i've searched and searched, but i've had no luck with this.
there's a way to remove it in gnome with gconf, but i've tried that, and no luck.
i'm using openbox, and i think i found something about my gtkrc file along these lines
gtk-show-input-method-menu =
gtk-show-unicode-menu =
both are "gboolean" which i don't know what it is, or if this is even what i want.
any help would be appreciated, as i never use these menus.

U+2415, SYMBOL FOR NEGATIVE ACKNOWLEDGE is not a control character. It is a normal symbol character, which is a substitute display character used when the control character U+0015 NEGATIVE ACKNOWLEDGE is to be displayed instead of being interpreted.
You need to refine your question.
In general, you can remove any particular character or characters from a string using the SQL functions TRANSLATE or REPLACE. You can use CHR or UNISTR to encode characters that you cannot enter from a keyboard. You can use REGEXP_REPLACE with POSIX character classes to remove broader ranges of characters.

'Zero-width Non-Joiner' Unicode Control Character for Xperia International Keyboard in Persian

I use Xperia International Keyboard in Persian (Farsi) on my Xperia Z3 Comapct. I really like its Gesture input for Persian. On the other hand I like Google Keyboard for Persian for its 'Zero-width Non-Joiner' Unicode Control Character key.This character is used in Persian as a non-breaking space or "نیم‌فاصله". But Google keyboard lacks gesture input for Persian. I would like it like very much If there is a ZWNJ (U+200C) key on next updates of Xperia International Keyboard for Persian. It would be perfect if it also have Arabic Decimal Separator (٫) (U+066B) and Arabic Thousand Separator (٬) (U+066C).

I want create a Pc based HMI page to control the moving object (robot). I dont have knowledge in HMI. Plz help me with some ideas.
My application conditions:
In HMI page - to show input distance(X), start values (W- weights) which gives output(Q(X)) in two condition
Q< 0 - move forward
Q< 0 - stop (or move backward)
And also feedback is given to input which give new start vaues (weights) and output runs contuinously.
Equation in matrix form : X^T = (distance 1 ) , W^T = (W1 W0)
output Q(X^T) = X.W^T = Distance. W1 + W0
Plz plz help me.

Developping code with LabVIEW always takes place in two separate windows, the block diagram and the frontpanel.
In the block diagram you will do all programming operations like implementing your equation in program code.
In the frontpanel you have the possibility to pre-give and adjust the input parameters for your equation, e.g. X, W.
You can also display any values from the block diagram, e.g. Q(X), in a graph. So that is your HMI.
Being able to send commands to your robot and communicate with it, you will need a hardware driver.
In LabVIEW, you can use VISA to implement nearly every Hardware-driver available.
The conclusion is, that LabVIEW is the perfect tool for your intent. But even if programming with LabVIEW is intuitive and effective, it is not trivial.
So I strongly recommend you to learn LabVIEW in a professional way. In my opinion the best way to do that is to visit LabVIEW courses,
where professional teachers will give you the needed knowledge and the skills to realize your project.

The keyboard shotcut to top of page was Control+home and to bottom was control+end. Now I am running Windows 8.1 neither works. Is there a keyboard shortcut?

Untii now the keyboard shortcut to top of page was control+home and to end was control+end. Now I am running Windows 8.1 and Firefox Beta neither of these work. Neither does control++ or control+0. (They did not work before I upgraded Firefox while I was using W8.1). Is there any keyboard shortcut to get immediately to top and to end?

Home and End without the Ctrl key should be sufficient to go to the top and bottom of a page.<br />
You only need the Ctrl key if you are in a text area.
Do you otherwise have problems with scrolling a page?
Does the Ctrl key work otherwise?
Did you try a new profile?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

Conditionally Suppressed Page Footer - Blank Space

I am working on a purchase order (PO) form. A PO may be one or more pages. I have two page footers. The first one is conditionally suppressed if pagenumber = 1. The second is conditionally suppressed if pagenumber > 1. However, while the objects within the suppressed page footer are not visible, the entire blank page footer space remains reserved., creating unnecessary and unusable white space after page one.
I am somewhat familiar with this problem. I have experimented with different techniques such as conditionally suppressing each object rather than the entire section, and then choosing Suppress Blank Section for that section.
I have also read SAP BO Notes 1212488.
This seems like a serious problem. Many standard multipage forms require special language (such as legal terms) that appear only at the bottom of the first page.
Any ideas?

I tried your suggestion. It did not help, but perhaps I am doing something wrong.
Here is how I have set it up:
Page Footer a
Contains a text object 1 inch tall.
Also contains print date and page n of m
Entire section is 1.5 inches tall.
Conditionally Suppressed if pagenumber > 1
Underlay Folllowing Sections is checked on
Page Footer b
Contains only page n of m
Entire section is 0.5 inches tall
Conditionally Suppressed if pagenumber = 1
Results:
Page 1 prints correctly.
Page 2 and on .... PFa is suppressed as intended
However, page n of m appears about 1.5 inches above bottom of page
In Design, I tried reversing PFa and PFb to see if that matters. It does not.
I hope you or someone else has othre suggestions.
I think I will try placing the large text object into a subreport.

How to control page eject

I have this report that has to print the payslips. What currently happens is that after each payslip, it ejects to the next page to print the next payslip. What the user wants is that since around 4 - 5 paylips can fit in one page, after the printing of a payslip, it would eject but still in the same page. Each payslip is 2 inches in height. So after 2 inches, it will eject and print the next payslip in the same page.
Is there a set up for this in APPS?

It sounds like you are running an Oracle Report through the concurrent manager, and the report definition has one of the following scenarios:
1. A repeating frame which has the "Maximum records per page" set to 1
2. A frame that is almost as large as the page, has vertical elasticity as expand or fixed rather than variable, and/or has "Page Protect" set to yes
3. A frame that has "Page Break Before" or "Page Break After" set
Alternatively you printer driver in $FND_TOP/reports/*.prt could have "height" set to an arbitrarily low number to match the number of lines on your payslip.

Conditional Suppression Page Header

My report contains one subreport placed in RFb. The data in the subreport is unrelated to the data in the primary report, so each report requires its own set of column headers. When printed, the subreport requires at least several page. Subreports have no page header section. In my subreport the column headers are placed in the RH section of the subreport, but these headers do not show up after the first page of the subreport. In addition, the headers in the primary report appear in the subreport, though they are inappropriate.
To workaround this problem I placed the primary report headers into PHa and the subreport headers into PHb, both in the Primary report. I want to use conditional formatting (suppression) to control the appearance of these headers WhilePrintingRecords.
The objective is to suppress PHb until the SECOND page of the subreport. (The subreport has a title page, so that MUST be the first section on page 1 of the subreport). PHa is suppressed AFTER the primary report is done. The last section in the primary report is RFa (or is it? See below).
Using Basic syntax I placed the following formula into RFa of the Primary report.
'Determine last page of Primary report.
WhilePrintingRecords
Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
Formula = nLastPgSec1
However, I have found that the value of nLastPgSec1 increments by one as each page of the subreport is printed. The only way this can occur is if RFa of the primary report is evaluated with each page, even though the subreport is placed in RFb.
I know this is probably difficult to follow without a visual of the design.
Can anyone tell me how to control the conditional formatting to accomplish what I need?

After a night's sleep I saw my problem. The solution was to set the value of nLastPgSec1 by placing it in the DETAILS section of the primary report (not a report footer). The formula is:
WhilePrintingRecords
Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
If OnLastRecord Then
nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
End If
Formula = nLastPgSec1
