Suppress page in FR Fusion 11.1.2.507

I have a report based on one grid that has an organization dimension in the page. no point of view and other dimensions in columns and rows. I would like to suppress the pages where the org has no values. is there a way to suppress pages? Thank You

Have you tried checking the If Zero, Suppress and/or If Missing, Suppress options under Grid Properties > Suppression > Basic Options? If not, here are the links: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/fr_user/3731.html
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/fr_user/ch09s03s02.html
When you run the report on Workspace, you would still see the list of organization dimension members on your drop-down list, but when you select a member with no data, the report should be blank.
Cheers,
Mehmet

    How do you suppress page numbers. I am trying to print a screenplay for the first time since switching to Pages and I can't suppress Page #1 without making the rest of the pages inaccurate, as page #1 is the Title Page. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Suppress Pages in Report 2.0

    Is there a way to suppress pages that have no data, in Reports 2.0.1Example, There is an HR department in New York but not one in Houston, yet reports prints out a blank page for Houston HR (when you page-break on department). The Outline is setup in such a way that offices and departments are two different members.Thanks

    I am having problems similar to what you describe and as described in the locked topic "Page not viewable in Safari." I can't tell you how relieved I am to discover that it is not me! The problem is somewhat intermittent - occasionally my web page will open correctly, but I can't correlate it to any specific action I have taken. Here are the details:
    I have a domain name registered with GoDaddy with forwarding & masking to my .Mac account.
    I created the homepage for my site using a .Mac template, modified it in Contribute 3 and saved it in the appropriate folder in my Sites folder.
    Everything was working fine: when I entered my domain name in Safari 2.0.2, my site's home page opened. Suddenly, a few days ago, it stopped working with Safari (I verified the problem on my husband's Mac). The domain address appears, it doesn't connect to the .Mac page and I get a blank screen. I then did the Java update. After restarting my Mac, I was able to open my page in Safari...once...then it stopped working again. I sent a Safari bug report to Apple.
    Everything continues to work fine in Internet Explorer.
    Here is the domain name address:

  • Conditionally Suppressed Page Footer - Blank Space

    I am working on a purchase order (PO) form. A PO may be one or more pages. I have two page footers. The first one is conditionally suppressed if pagenumber = 1. The second is conditionally suppressed if pagenumber > 1. However, while the objects within the suppressed page footer are not visible, the entire blank page footer space remains reserved., creating unnecessary and unusable white space after page one.
    I am somewhat familiar with this problem. I have experimented with different techniques such as conditionally suppressing each object rather than the entire section, and then choosing Suppress Blank Section for that section.
    I have also read SAP BO Notes 1212488.
    This seems like a serious problem. Many standard multipage forms require special language (such as legal terms) that appear only at the bottom of the first page.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Art

    Salah,
    I tried your suggestion. It did not help, but perhaps I am doing something wrong.
    Here is how I have set it up:
    Page Footer a
    Contains a text object 1 inch tall.
    Also contains print date and page n of m
    Entire section is 1.5 inches tall.
    Conditionally Suppressed if pagenumber > 1
    Underlay Folllowing Sections is checked on
    Page Footer b
    Contains only page n of m
    Entire section is 0.5 inches tall
    Conditionally Suppressed if pagenumber = 1
    Results:
    Page 1 prints correctly.
    Page 2 and on .... PFa is suppressed as intended
    However, page n of m appears about 1.5 inches above bottom of page
    In Design, I tried reversing PFa and PFb to see if that matters. It does not.
    I hope you or someone else has othre suggestions.
    I think I will try placing the large text object into a subreport.
    Thanks,

  • How to suppress page header when rendering particular group footer

    Description:  I am using Crystal Reports 2008.  I have a report with a page header, and several groupings.  The groups all suppress their headers, but have footers.  The grouping is in the order:  type,county,city,status,parent.  The first 3 footers force a new page before the footer.  The county footer includes summaries and charts.
    Problem:  The client wants the header displayed for the detail and the header for the county footer to be different.  How can I make this happen?
    More Info:  I currently have just a page header.  I have tried messing with the suppress formula for the page header, but I cannot figure out the correct formula to use to suppress the page header on a county footer page.  Is there a way to do this, or is there a completely different approach I should be taking to solve this?
    I can provide more info if needed.
    Google search was unhelpful in solving this problem.  This problem is driving me nuts.  Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    What i would suggest is to create a new variable in WhilePrintingRecords evaluation time. For example:
    1. Boolean variable set to TRUE in Group Footer #2 (County)
    2. Reset it to FALSE in Group Header #2 and Group Footer#1
    3. Use the variable for conditional suppression

  • How to suppress page header when group footer prints

    I would like to suppress the page header on my report when a group footer prints.  My group footer is going to be a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo and I'm going to have it do a page break before so it prints on it's own page.  I do not want my page header info printing on this page.
    Is there a way to do this?  I am on Crystal XI.  Thank you in advance.

    I haven't tested this, but...
    Formula @InGroupHeader:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter = False;
    Formula @InGroupFooter:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter = True;
    PageHeader.Suppress:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    BooleanVar InGroupFooter;
    InGroupFooter;
    Edit: I think I like Graham's solution better, actually.

  • Suppress pages in Reports 9i

    I have two reports. The first report contains just one page (kind of a summary report). The second one contains the page of the first report and further information. Right now I have to maintain two reports in case of changes.
    We are using rwservlet and pdf output.
    My question: Are there any options in Oracle 9i Report Server to suppress further pages? Something like ... page=1 ... seems to be needed.
    Another option would be to split the second report into a summary and a more detailed part. But how can I append two reports (without other tools). With such a feature I would only need to maintain one report.
    Thanks and regards
    Uwe

    Hi Kapil,
    You are talking about the "Additional Attributes (HTML) property" on the parameter form field. This is what the Report Builder Help says:
    The Additional Attributes (HTML) property specifies JavaScript event handlers that trigger various input or select events (e.g., raising error messages for invalid entries or formatting input values) in the Runtime Parameter Form when the report is run via the Web.
    As a result, writing Javascript is not meant to select values from the Database. Javascript should be used for other related functions, eg, for validation - you want that a number should be entered in the parameter form field, so if a user enters a string value, you can throw an error message back to the user using Javascript. See Reports Builder Help on the above topic for more examples, and code.
    If you want to pick values from the database, you can do it without using Javascript - create a user parameter, write a select statement (eg, select empno from emp) to select the values, and show this user parameter in the parameter form.

  • Suppressing Page Headers

    Hi,I'm working on my first report using Crystal Reports XI R2.I've grouped my report by task.  For each task I have included details of the various task issues.  The group heading appears on its own page together with a graphical representation of the data that follows.  The report header is also on its own page together with a graphical spread of the data for all tasks.  I have page headers that are intended to line up with the columns of data in the details section.All works well except I can't figure out how to suppress the page headers on the group header pages.  I've managed to suppress them on the report header page by including 'PageNumber = 1' in the header suppression formula.I've hit a brick wall and would be grateful for any guidance in overcoming this problem.Many thanksStingray

    Many thanks for the advice but I'm still not quite there.  The report now supresses page headers on all group pages (except first) but also suppresses them on the first details page following each group page.  I'm learning lots as I search through the help pages but not how to resolve this remaining problem.

  • Conditional Suppression Page Header

    My report contains one subreport placed in RFb. The data in the subreport is unrelated to the data in the primary report, so each report requires its own set of column headers. When printed, the subreport requires at least several page. Subreports have no page header section. In my subreport the column headers are placed in the RH section of the subreport, but these headers do not show up after the first page of the subreport. In addition, the headers in the primary report appear in the subreport, though they are inappropriate.
    To workaround this problem I placed the primary report headers into PHa and the subreport headers into PHb, both in the Primary report. I want to use conditional formatting (suppression) to control the appearance of these headers WhilePrintingRecords.
    The objective is to suppress PHb until the SECOND page of the subreport. (The subreport has a title page, so that MUST be the first section on page 1 of the subreport). PHa is suppressed AFTER the primary report is done. The last section in the primary report is RFa (or is it? See below).
    Using Basic syntax I placed the following formula into RFa of the Primary report.
    'Determine last page of Primary report.
    WhilePrintingRecords
    Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
    nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
    Formula = nLastPgSec1
    However, I have found that the value of nLastPgSec1 increments by one as each page of the subreport is printed. The only way this can occur is if RFa of the primary report is evaluated with each page, even though the subreport is placed in RFb.
    I know this is probably difficult to follow without a visual of the design.
    Can anyone tell me how to control the conditional formatting to accomplish what I need?
    Thanks,
    Art

    After a night's sleep I saw my problem. The solution was to set the value of nLastPgSec1 by placing it in the DETAILS section of the primary report (not a report footer). The formula is:
    WhilePrintingRecords
    Global nLastPgSec1 As Number
    If OnLastRecord Then
       nLastPgSec1 = PageNumber
    End If
    Formula = nLastPgSec1

  • Crystal report viewer suppressing pages

    I have a crystal 8.5 report that is group by:
    - report type
       - name
         - contract number
           -date
    detail
        -date footer (suppressed)
       - contract footer
    - name footer (suppressed)
    - report type footer (suppressed)
    for the contract number group i have the 'keep group together' checked in the change group options box.
    the detail lines print only when report type = 1 or 6 and the contrct footer only prints when report type <> 1 and <> 6, when the detail is printing, everything looks great, but when the detail doesn't print and just the contract footer prints that's where I have a problem.
    when the report is first displayed in the viewer and i start on the last page of the report and page back i can see all my data, but when i page forward from page 1, i'm missing a couple of pages after the detail stops printing and only the contract footer data should print.
    can anybody help!!!
    thanks,

    Not many users still have CR 8.5 so not likely anyone can help you. Try downloading all of the patches, it may help....

  • Suppress page header when printing sub reports

    I am looking for information on how to suppress the page header on the main report when a certain subreport(s) are printed within group footers.

    Set a Shared Variable in the Report Header of your subreport.  PrintFoot := "NO"
    Check it in the Print Suppress formula of the Page Footer of your main report
    Reset in the the Report Footer of the subreport. PrintFoot := "YES"
    You'll als have to initially set it to the "okay to print" value in the Report Header of the main report just to get started.

  • Financial Reporting: Suppress pages for large sparse dimension combinations

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a Financial Reporting report that shows only pages that are populated with data, but the dimensions that I have on the page are fairly large and very sparse. There are 8,000+ combinations of sparse members, only of which about 120 have data populated and those 120 are what I want to return on my report. I can't call out the page member combinations individually as new combinations appear regularly and I want to avoid running maintenance on the report definition each time the data in the cube is refreshed. My report isn't executing, so I suspect it is running for each of the 8,000+ combinations before determining whether or not it should render each particular page. Does this behavior sound right? If so, is there a workaround or some other trick to get Financial Reporting to test for the presence of populated combinations before rendering the pages?
    Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Synapse Group/Time, Inc.

    You can achieve this by doing following:
    1. Open report
    2. Select grid (left top corner)
    3. On 'Properties' window, select suppression
    4. Select '#Missing' in 'Basic option' section.
    Good luck & let me of the results.

  • Way to suppress pages

    Hi!
    I have at dimension with @30K projects, then I have @500 project managers in a different dimension. Is there a way to say run a report and repeat on the level 0 managers and the projects where they have data (the data in the report actually shows rows?
    So basically they want a book and they want to choose let's say 5 of the 500 project managers through a prompt and they want the book to run for the projects the person is assigned. The only way they are assigned is by the values...so if they choose A, B, D, E and F project managers the report in the book should run for each project of the 30K that the person has #s for but no others...
    Thanks

    Hi Natesh,
    The report has accounts on the rows and Time across the columns and I need to generate a book for each PM of all of their projects. There are only 20,000 projects that are open (new piece of info I received) and 307 PMs.
    each report should only run for 1 PM and one project. So what they want is to pick a PM (have in the POV) and have it run for only the projects that have data for that PM (right now I have this in the pages). So if a PM is in charge of the 15 projects it still will have to ripple through the 20K projects but only return if pages/reports with the profitability info--one page for each project under that PM.
    My thought is that the IT dept needs to make an additional attribute for PM on the project dimension.
    But if there is an easier way I would love it. So if there are 2 projects A and B, and the PM only has data for B, I don't want a page to print for A at all--No page, no grid that's blank and no heading, no footer...
    Thanks so much!

  • Suppress Page eject control character...

    Hello,
    While generating a report in text mode, Report Builder adds a page eject control character(i.e. ctrl-l) at the end of report.
    We don't want this control character. So how can this be removed ?
    We are using Reports 6i.
    Thanks
    Kiran.

    When running a character mode report it uses a .prt file to determine the printer escape characters. There is a dflt.prt which contains the page break character value. If you remove this then you will remove the page breaks from your character output.

  • How to embed a BI publisher Report in welcome page of fusion app?

    Hi,
    I was a ADF developer, new to fusion app and BI publisher. We are using Oracle Fusion Application version 11.1.7.0.0 for compensation implementation and BI publisher is a part of it.
    I've developed a BI publisher report, placed it under Shared Folder \ Custom, want to embed the same in welcome page of the fusion app. By following the video How do I embed a report in a sales dashboard? - YouTube, I followed below steps
    1. Administration -> Customize Work area page
    2. Add Content
    3. Clicked on 'Reports and Analytics'
    4. Clicked on 'BIPresentationServer'
    5. Shared Folder
    6. Custom
    Issue: Though I have some reports under this 'Custom' folder, it says 'Empty folder'. It only shows the 'Analysis' but not any reports. Problem is not with this folder alone but all. I've also ensured that I am able to see all the reports when I navigate using Navigator -> Tools - > Reports and Analysis.
    Can any of you guide me on what is the issue and what to be done?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Thanks for the link. I am reading it for better understanding.
    I just came to know from SR that, In order to see the BI Publisher in the Presentation Server list of values, we have to embed the BI Publihser report inside an OTBI Dashboard.
    So we need to create a 'Dashboards' folder (It is must only then we are able to see it via fusion apps. to select and embed), then Dashboard and add the desired report to this dashboard. Now we can navigate to this dashboard, open it and select the page to embed it.
    Might be useful for the ppl who faces similar issue. Thanks.
